Its shares listed at ₹391 – that’s ₹106 higher than its initial public offering (IPO) price of ₹285. As of 9:49 am, the company’s market cap stood at ₹3,021 crore, as per data on BSE. As per grey market indications, the company’s listing was expected to be stellar, with an over ₹100 premium. GMP is the premium at which unlisted company shares are traded in an unofficial market before they are listed on the stock exchanges. “Considering the overwhelming response from all types of investors and oversubscribed by 66.30 times, we are expecting a healthy 25-30% listing performance backed by a market mood. Better- than-expected response to its offer across investor categories was mainly due to its business model of ODM (original design manufacturer) followed by higher operating margins compared to peers and reasonable discounted valuations at the time of IPO when compared to listed peers,” said Prashanth Tapse, senior vice president (research), Mehta Equities. The ₹607-crore IPO opened on June 6 and closed on June 8. The Delhi-based company’s IPO was subscribed 67 times, as it received bids for 101.9 crore equity shares against 1.52 crore shares on offer. While the qualified institutional buyer portion was subscribed 163 times, the non-institutional investors portion was subscribed 65.38 times. The retail portion also witnessed good participation and was subscribed 14.3 times. The IPO had comprised a fresh offer of shares as well as an offer-for-sale by the promoters. The company plans to use the IPO proceeds to repay debt, invest in a subsidiary and for general corporate purposes. IKIO Lighting IPO - How to check allotment status, listing date and more

LED lighting solution provider <keyword id="15151029" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="ikio-lighting" source="Orion">IKIO Lighting</keyword> Ltd on Thursday said it has fixed a price band of Rs 270-285 per share for its Rs 606-crore initial public offering (<keyword id="6354763" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ipo" source="Orion">IPO</keyword>). The issue will be open for public subscription during June 6-8 and the bidding for anchor investors will open on June 5, the Noida-based company said in a statement. The IPO consists of a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to Rs 350 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 90 lakh equity stocks by promoters Hardeep Singh and <keyword id="2491354" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="surmeet-kaur" source="Orion">Surmeet Kaur</keyword>. At the upper end of the price band, the initial share-sale will fetch Rs 606.5 crore. Proceeds from the fresh issuance worth Rs 50 crore will be used for debt payment, Rs 212.31 crore will be used in the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, <keyword id="17582560" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ikio-solutions" source="Orion">IKIO Solutions</keyword>, to set up a new facility at Noida, <keyword id="6357713" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="uttar-pradesh" source="Orion">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>, and for general corporate purposes. The company said that half of the issue size has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 35 per cent for retail investors and the remaining 10 per cent for non-institutional investors. Further, investors can bid for a minimum of 52 equity shares and in multiples of 52 equity shares thereafter. IKIO Lighting is a manufacturer of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting solutions. It is primarily an original design manufacturer (ODM) and designs, develops, manufactures and supplies products to customers who then further distribute these products under its brands. It has four manufacturing facilities with one located in the SIDCUL Haridwar industrial park in Uttarakhand and three in Noida in the National Capital Region. IKIO Lighting's revenue from operations jumped 55.47 per cent on year-on-year basis to Rs 331.84 crore in fiscal 2022 from Rs 213.45 crore in fiscal 2021 and profit after tax surged 75.37 per cent to Rs 50.52 crore from Rs 28.81 crore during the period. Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors is the sole book-running lead manager to the issue. The equity shares are proposed to be listed on the BSE and NSE. "Indian stock exchanges (BSE and NSE, including SMEs) have ranked first in the world in terms of the number of IPOs and eighth in terms of issue proceeds during the year to date 2023, with no cross-border deals recorded,” the report said. In the April-June quarter of 2023, there have been six mainboard IPOs — that’s 57% higher than the same quarter of 2022, but 50% higher than Q1 of this year. SME IPOs however continued their spectacular growth — with 32 IPOs in Q2 of 2023 — growing by 75% compared to only 18 last year, and decreasing by 16% sequentially. Hospitality &amp; construction sector took the lead in the main markets during Q2 2023 with two IPOs. Based on YTD figures for 2023, automotive &amp; transportation, diversified industrial products, and real estate each saw two IPOs in the main markets. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) are showing sustained inflows in India, resulting in an 8% market rally since April 2023. The global picture On the other hand, 2023 so far saw more than 600 IPOs raising approximately $60 billion, a contraction of 5% by volume and 36% by value YoY. “These modest results continue to reflect slower global economic growth, tight monetary policies and heightened geopolitical tensions. High interest rates and poor post-IPO share price performance have also pushed investors to look for other investment asset classes,” E&amp;Y said. However, fewer PE backed companies have pushed towards market debut this year, and traditional companies are taking a lead with the public markets as opposed to new-age companies, the E&amp;Y report said. Indian markets regulator SEBI introduced various amendments to enhance the capital markets' transparency and practices like changes in pricing of the issue, disclosure of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), introduction of pre-filing of draft offer documents (confidential filing), the establishment of the Social Stock Exchange and more. "The recent amendments introduced by SEBI showcase the commitment towards enhancing market transparency and governance. These changes lay a strong foundation for future IPO activity and empower companies to align with best practices, reinforcing the trust of investors in the Indian capital markets," said Veenit Surana, partner at EY India.
