But Mitron is not the only app reaping from the benefits from the fall of TikTok. Another content platform Bolo Indya is now claiming to be a “Made in India brand for all creative minds and content creators, especially those who want to ‘go local’” aligning itself with PM Modi’s ‘Atma Nirbharta’ (self reliance) initiative. The app is also building on TikTok’s fall and has witnessed a three-fold increase in its daily downloads in the last 10 days. “Bolo Indya has received over 300 emails by the users on its support to provide users the features like Tiktok and be used by them as an Indian app for creating short videos (majorly allowing 15 sec videos, background music and in-app camera),” said the company. IIT Roorkee student’s TikTok clone app Mitron TV is riding high in downloads because of its association with PM Modi’s favourite word

At an age when most students are clueless about the career they want to pursue, 15-year-old Abhay Agrawal has cracked JEE Advance 2017 - one of India's toughest exam. With 2476 All India Rank, he has even secured a seat in <keyword id="6354859" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IIT">IIT</keyword>-BHU. Abhay has secured admission in mechanical engineering, but has not yet confirmed his seat and instead opted to `float' the given choice of institute as he wants to study at IIT Roorkee. He jumped initial classes and completed Class 12 before his contemporaries at school. "My parents got me enrolled at a coaching class in the city. Some people discouraged me but that motivated me to study harder," said Abhay. Unlike his classmates, he stayed away from social media and other distractions while preparing for the competition. He comes from a modest family. His father Mukesh works as a pump attendant at Firozabad Nagar Nigam, and his mother, Ekta, is a Class 12 passout. His father said, "Abhay has brought us laurels at an early age. When the chief medical officer in Firozabad had to prepare his medical certificate, he was surprised. At IIT Kanpur also, JEE staff was amazed to know he was this young. He is a talented boy with high capabilities. He would finish BTech also in the stipulated time." Meanwhile, on his feat, a JEE staffer said, "He could be the youngest candidate this year to join an IIT. His class 10 mark sheet confirms that he is fifteen and a half year old. He was born on November 9, 2001.” In class 12 exams Abhay had scored 87.2 percent from CBSE Board and scored 85.63 percent in class 10 from UP Board. Unlike his classmates, he stayed away from social media and other distractions while preparing for the competition. He aspires to own a startup that will deal in products related to robotics.

A day after the Government banned several Chinese apps, popular short-form video app Mitron reported that its <keyword id="2667727" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="daily-traffic">daily traffic</keyword> jumped up by more than 11 times. Just 5 days after crossing the 10 million (1 crore) downloads milestone, Mitron has now announced that the app has been downloaded by 17 million (1.7 crore) users in India. Mitron app has been one of the most downloaded apps in India during the last two months.  Taking a cue from the hardships faced during their coaching days, IIT Roorkee alumnus <keyword id="3952423" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="mukul-rustagi">Mukul Rustagi</keyword> and NSIT alumnus Bhaswat Agarwal decided to start XPrep in September 2015. It was also one of the finalists of this year’s Unitus Seed Fund and Sylvant Advisors’ StartEdu programme. 
 
The platform is as of now trying to fill the gap within the tutor-parent community by establishing a continual and seamless engagement within the student-parent-tutor ecosystem. 
 
It is enabling parents to monitor their child’s progress during the course of tuition while helping tutors serve their batches efficiently and scale their business. XPrep equips its tutors with a mobile app to assist them in conducting their classroom and communicating with the parents in a transparent manner, all at their fingertips. The mobile app lets tutors perform daily tasks like sending out announcements, conducting their quizzes and notifying their classes using the app’s automation techniques.
