India would certainly want to avoid that banana peel and keep their good run intact in this World Cup. In the batting front, captain Rohit will look to continue his imperious form while top order batters <keyword id="6362888" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="shubman-gill" source="Orion">Shubman Gill</keyword> and Virat Kohli will be eager to score big. Rohit has been at the forefront of India's domination in the last couple of matches with stunning knocks of 86 against Pakistan and 131 against Afghanistan. India are perched on the top spot in the points table and they would aim to extend their winning run. While the two knocks of highest quality have put Rohit in the limelight, his younger opening partner Gill would be itching to get a big score for himself, given that he is back to full fitness and has had an impressive run in the ODIs this year. For Kohli, a mistimed hit against Pakistan led to an early dismissal but that was a minor blip, as the batting maestro previously produced a masterful 85 against Australia and a match-winning 55 not out against Afghanistan. Indian bowlers too have done a collective job though Jasprit Bumrah's brilliance and Kuldeep Yadav's guile made them a stand out attack from the rest in the competition, in their sheer ability to keep the opposition team's scoring rate in check and making regular inroads even on the flattest of decks. Bangladesh are not to be blamed if they spend a large part of their preparation time drawing up plans against Rohit, whose red-hot form promises a third century in a row in World Cup encounters against the 'Tigers'. Rohit's stupendous 137 in the quarterfinal in Melbourne (2015 World) and 104 in Birmingham (2019) ensured his side exceeded the 300-run mark for a third consecutive time since 2011 edition against Bangladesh, with India burying their opponents under a mountain of runs on each of these occasions. The Indian captain has hit eight centuries, the most for any batter in World Cup history, and it remains to be seen how soon he enters double-digit figures in terms of hundreds, given his magnificent form. Notwithstanding their impeccable run so far, India will look to guard against any complacency knowing that this World Cup has already produced two sensational upsets, with defending champions England hunted down by Afghanistan and South Africa stopped in their tracks by a spirited Netherlands. The knowledge of conditions and an expected packed house at the MCA Stadium promises India the best atmosphere once again to record another win in this World Cup and continue their march towards the semifinals, but Bangladesh are no pushovers and they have been a tricky side to face for India. For Bangladesh, it is imperative that their best player and captain Shakib Al Hasan overcomes the challenge of a quad injury to his left leg and is available for selection on Thursday. Shakib, who did not bowl on Tuesday during the team's training session, will be essential for Bangladesh to take the fight to India. A comprehensive win in the World Cup opener followed by two defeats against better teams has put Bangladesh in a position of some desperation, given that a third loss on the trot will only dent their hopes. India look to continue winning juggernaut in World Cup clash against Bangladesh

The Pune-based company had dispatched 3,16,020 units to its dealers in February 2022. In a regulatory filing, the company said its total domestic sales increased by 36 per cent to 1,53,291 units last month, as compared with 1,12,747 units in the year-ago period. Exports, however, declined 38 per cent last month at 1,26,935 units, as against 2,03,273 units in February 2022. Two-wheeler wholesales in the domestic market rose 25 per cent to 1,20,335 units, as compared to 96,523 units in the year-ago period. Two-wheeler exports, however, dipped 37 per cent to 1,15,021 units, from 1,82,814 units in February last year. Total two-wheeler dispatches in the domestic market declined by 16 per cent to 2,35,356 units last month, as compared to 2,79,337 units in the year-ago period. Total commercial vehicle wholesales rose 22 per cent to 44,870 units from 36,683 units in February last year. Another Indian pharmaceutical giant reports cybersecurity breach within two weeks of ransomware hack on Dr Reddy’s

For the first time, <keyword id="28443" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="IIT-students">IIT students</keyword> from India are among seven teams to have sailed through to the finals of the oldest and largest <keyword id="3744418" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="hardware-hacking-competition">hardware hacking competition</keyword> in the world. 
 
They have won finalist slots in the ninth annual Embedded Security Challenge (ESC), a competition deemed to be one of the most difficult events at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering's ongoing annual Cyber Security Awareness Week Games for students. 
 
The preliminary event required teams to design their own vulnerable computer programs, show how to exploit those vulnerabilities, and offer hardware defensive techniques to prevent such attacks. 
 
The contest requires the competitors to defend against one of the most common security bugs: memory corruption, by which a hacker subverts a microchip by changing critical data in its memory. The teams will attempt to enhance a basic chip design so that memory corruption can’t harm the system. 
 
 "The Embedded Security Challenge at CSAW is not just about academic bragging rights,” said the event founder and ​ NYU Tandon Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Ramesh Karri. “Because the attack and defense models and ideas that ESC generate apply to the real world — real scenarios, real technology, and real threats — they can be used to generate security tools for the chip design process and tactics for defending against theft of chip design and sabotage during fabrication," he added. 
 The two teams representing India in NYU comprise 8 students from <keyword id="55119" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Institute-of-Technology">Indian Institute of Technology</keyword>, Kharagpur and Madras. They will now compete with their global counterparts before a panel of security experts during CSAW starting November 10.

Meet the IITians who have made their way into world's largest hardware hacking competition finals

Over 4,500 Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) also joined the mass protest by not attending the patients in nearly 26 government hospitals. Similar protests were also being held in Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur by MARD members who are demanding protection for their counterparts in West Bengal. Senior and junior resident doctors of several government hospitals in the nation’s capital on June 14 also went on the one-day token strike.

Indian doctors, who wore helmets and bandaids to work, are now on a day-long strike to protest violent attack in West Bengal

<keyword id="1156313" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="The-Film-and-Television-Institute-of-India">The Film and Television Institute of India</keyword> (<keyword id="55490" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="FTII">FTII</keyword>) controversy took an ugly turn today. Its students and alumni, who arrived in Delhi to meet officials of the Information and Broadcasting (I&amp;B) Ministry, were taken into custody for protesting outside it. After more than 20 days of agitation against the appointment of <keyword id="54" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="TV-actor">TV actor</keyword> <keyword id="258297" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Gajendra-Chauhan">Gajendra Chauhan</keyword> as the new chairman of the institute, the students came here. The <keyword id="6359715" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="protest">protest</keyword> was supported by students of <keyword id="6360099" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Delhi-University">Delhi University</keyword>, <keyword id="58265" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jawaharlal-Nehru-University">Jawaharlal Nehru University</keyword> (JNU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). 

	The FTII students have been boycotting classes, abandoning academic work in protest against Chauhan, who according to them does not have “vision and knowledge” to lead the premiere institution of film-making. 
 

	Nakul Singh Sahani, an independent film-maker and FTII alumnus, said: “The students were holding a peaceful protest outside the ministry at Shastri Bhawan when they were dragged by police and arrested. We came here to arrive at a conclusion and want a fresh selection of a chairman and some governing council members of the institute. We also want a transparent system where we could know how these appointments were done.”
 <keyword id="2933028" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Cinematographer-Saurabh-Vishwakarma">Cinematographer Saurabh Vishwakarma</keyword>, who passed out from FTII in 2004, said: “It is a prestigious institution and the post of the chairman is not one that can be offered to anyone. If a person has achieved eminence in his field and his work has been recognized, then it adds to his credentials. Such person can be appointed as is its head.” 

	Sahani passed out from the Pune-based institute in 2006. He said: “Chauhan has zero credential to be the chairman. The TV actor was appointed as he is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and not because of his depth of knowledge.”
 

	Moreover, there are some members in the FTII governing council who have been selected due to their closeness to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he said, asking “do they have any idea about film-making, script writing or can they teach students or plan their syllabus and conduct workshops”.
 “Chauhan doesn’t have the required experience to run the top most institute of film-making, which enjoys certain credibility in India and abroad. How will he lead the institution,” asked Aditi Sharma, film-maker and owner of <keyword id="2933027" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Apple-Box-Films">Apple Box Films</keyword>. 

	She said: "There were eminent people in the field of cinema before Chauhan who occupied this prestigious post. The legacy has to be maintained and respected.”
 The post has been previously held by National award-winning film-maker <keyword id="29916" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Shyam-Benegal">Shyam Benegal</keyword>, veteran actor Vinod Khanna, Kannada writer U R Ananthamurthy, film director <keyword id="222175" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Saeed-Akhtar-Mirza">Saeed Akhtar Mirza</keyword>, among others. 

	This type of political interference is not new to institutions of higher learning in India, Sharma said, adding IITs and IIMs are also its victims. 
 

	Thousands of students sit for the test and compete to get an entry in FTII, said Himanshu Prajapati, second year student of film direction. “People like Chauhan will destroy the credibility of the institute,” he said.

Cybersecurity fraud includes various types, including <keyword id="6359049" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="phishing" source="Orion">phishing</keyword> attacks that trick users into revealing personal information, ransomware that encrypts data for extortion, <keyword id="429939" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="identity-theft" source="Orion">identity theft</keyword> for financial gain, and malware infections exploiting vulnerabilities in systems. Many of these frauds result in <keyword id="514956" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="financial-loss" source="Orion">financial loss</keyword> because the bank account of the victim is compromised. A study conducted by a start-up incubated with IIT Kanpur revealed that between January 2020 and June 2023, 75% of cyber crimes in India were attributed to financial frauds. Cyber security insurance is also available for individuals. The policy covers a range of cyber threats such as theft of funds, identity theft, social media liability, malware attacks, phishing, and third-party data breaches along with coverage for counselling services to support individuals who experience emotional setbacks due to cyber incidents. Also one can extend the coverage to cover their smart home devices affected by malware attacks. Similarly Bajaj Allianz provides an Individual Cyber Safe Insurance Policy. Cyber insurance acts as a protective measure against potential losses incurred online, offering assurance and coverage in case of adverse incidents. This insurance coverage grants peace of mind, allowing individuals to engage in online activities without constant concern over financial ramifications caused by cyber threats. Such plans can have a sum insured of ₹10,000 to ₹5 crore. Let us take a look at what all is covered under cyber insurance. Financial loss: The coverage extends to financial losses resulting from online frauds, encompassing unauthorised access, phishing, and spoofing incidents affecting bank accounts, credit/debit cards, and digital wallets. “Any sort of financial loss due to any <keyword id="6358845" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cyber-fraud" source="Orion">cyber fraud</keyword> is covered up to the sum assured in the policy. For example if someone clicks on a phishing link and then one's account is hacked and one loses money from their bank account the policy will cover it,” says TA Ramalingam, chief technical officer, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance . Identity theft: Coverage includes indemnification for financial losses, credit monitoring expenses, legal fees for prosecution resulting from the unauthorised use of personal information by a third party on the internet. Additionally, it encompasses psychological consultation expenses for the affected individual. Data restoration: Expenses incurred in the retrieval or restoration of lost or corrupted data resulting from malware attacks is covered. “Cost incurred in restoring lost or corrupted data or replacing hardware due to malware attack,” says Parthanil Ghosh, President, Retail Business HDFC ERGO General Insurance. Hardware replacement: Expenses associated with replacing your personal device or its components that have been impacted or damaged due to a malware attack are covered. Cyber bullying: Coverage includes legal expenses, expenses related to removing objectionable content posted by cyber-bullies, and psychological consultation costs for the affected individual. Online shopping: Financial losses may be incurred due to online shopping on fraudulent websites. “Online shopping fraud where an item is not received even after making a full payment is covered,” says Ghosh. What is not covered Any losses resulting out of dishonest or improper conduct is not covered. Any losses arising out of racist, pornographic or other immoral services or restricted websites are also not covered. Some of the other exclusions include coverage for investment activities like selling shares and losses in cryptocurrency. It is the onus of the policyholder to follow basic safety procedures. “One needs to behave as if one is not insured. So if someone makes basic mistakes like sharing one’s PIN or OTP or writing the PIN at the back of an ATM card, the insurance company won't cover any damages,” says Ramalingam. If you are a heavy mobile phone or Internet user, having cyber insurance can give you a safety net. However, remember, it pays to stay vigilant.

Hardik Pandya out of World Cup, Prasidh Krishna comes in as replacement

Former <keyword id="7349800" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="bharatpe" source="Orion">BharatPe</keyword> Co-founder and Managing Director <keyword id="2988161" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ashneer-grover" source="Orion">Ashneer Grover</keyword> on Saturday claimed that his book "<keyword id="13252074" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="doglapan" source="Orion">Doglapan</keyword>" created panic among BharatPe executives and this is the reason the fintech company had apparently filed several cases against him, including an over Rs 88.6 crore fraud case. Reacting to a follower on Twitter who asked for a free copy, <keyword id="3433" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="grover" source="Orion">Grover</keyword> said: "Na bhai - business is business -- kitaab pehle aa gayi thi -- yeh case shase to isliye aaye kyun ki kitaab se sab ki fat li (My book came first and this triggered the cases against him as it created panic for all (at BharatPe)". He further posted: "By the way - the real truth is now available for immediate delivery on Amazon. The book which precipitated so much onslaught - padhni to Banti hai! Ab aayega asli mazaa! (Read it as real fun will now happen)". He, however, did not mention BharatPe directly as to avoid the Delhi High Court's wrath where the hearing is currently on and the next date is in January. The court has issued notice and summons to BharatPe's former Managing Director and his kin in a plea filed by the company, seeking orders to restrain them from making defamatory statements against the company. In yet another move against Grover, BharatPe has filed for arbitration with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) to restrict his 1.4 per cent shareholding as well as strip him off his founder title. Grover has about 8.5 per cent share of the company and of this, 1.4 per cent is yet to be vested. With this, BharatPe has taken on Grover from three sides, along with a civil case in the Delhi High Court asking him to reply on the Rs 88.6 crore he allegedly swindled at the company along with his wife and close relatives, and a criminal complaint with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Earlier, Grover attacked the fintech platform's co-founder <keyword id="10222571" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="shashvat-nakrani" source="Orion">Shashvat Nakrani</keyword>, saying he once asked him to bunk office for a whole year in order to complete his IIT degree while remaining on the payroll. In a tweet, <keyword id="3433" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="grover" source="Orion">Grover</keyword> alleged that Sameer allegedly spent money raised by him to travel to Australia for the recently-concluded T20 World Cup. According to doctors, this condition is more prevalent in young females. “Patients generally (are) young adults, (it’s) more common in females, and sometimes it can be associated with a rash on the face,” Dr Sheela Murali Chakravarthy, director- internal medicine, Fortis Hospital, Bangalore told Business Insider India. The prevalence of this condition is between 4-22 cases per one lakh population in India, <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/health/samantha-ruth-prabhu-myositis-autoimmune-symptoms-causes-treatment-8237153/">according</a> to the Indian Journal of Rheumatology. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="What is Myositis?" comment="subhead" text="What is Myositis?">What is Myositis?</cmsannotation> Myositis is an autoimmune condition that causes weakness in the muscles especially in the thigh, or the arms. It is a condition where the immune system itself attacks the muscles of the body. “This illness comes under the category of autoimmune in which the body considers self as non self and starts producing antibodies against the muscles causing damage to the muscles,” Dr Chakravarthy added. Muscle pain in thighs, arms and shoulders, difficulty in swallowing, choking, skin rash over eyelids, rashes sensitive to sunlight are some of the common symptoms of Myositis. Doctors further added that patients usually face difficulty in climbing up stairs, or getting up from a sitting position, which gradually progresses to weakness. Fever, fatigue, joint pain, weight loss and fatigue are some of the other symptoms of this illness. There are different types of Myositis — Polymyositis and Dermatomyositis are the most common ones. Polymyositis causes muscle weakness which is closest to the trunk of the body, whereas Dermatomyositis causes muscle weakness in thighs, arms shoulders and skin rash. This disease can be associated with cancer also. “ Any age, right from childhood where it's called juvenile dermatomyositis, to elderly can be affected. It may be associated with cancers also,” said Dr Varsha Bhatt, MD medicine, consultant rheumatologist at Dr DY Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pune. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Is it a genetic disease?" comment="subhead" text="Is it a genetic disease?">Is it a genetic disease?</cmsannotation> According to Dr Bhatt, the number of studies suggesting Myositis to be a genetic disease are increasing. “Data show that having at least one first-degree relative with myositis is strongly associated with risk of it and that several human leukocyte antigen (HLA) regions are associated with it,” she said. Myositis is a treatable disease and can be cured with proper medical attention. “Early diagnosis is the key and that is possible if you consult a physician or rheumatologist early as soon as symptoms appear,” Dr Bhatt added. A patient suffering from this disease will have to be on medications for a long time to prevent this from relapsing. Steroids, oral or intravenous and immunosuppression therapy with drugs like methotrexate and azathioprine can help treat this illness. “Sometimes you may require high doses of intravenous steroids to halt the progression of illness faster. In resistant cases we use plasma exchange on dialysis machines, intravenous immunoglobulin and <keyword id="2811252" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="rituximab" source="Orion">rituximab</keyword>,” Dr Bhatt explained.
