The company has said that it will offer this spam detection solution to all users for free. "Spam has become a menace for customers. Customers won’t have to do anything to enable this and it will be auto-activated for all Airtel customers without them having to raise a service request or download any app. "Our solution has been able to successfully identify 100 million potential spam calls and 3 million spam SMSes originating every day," Vittal added. "There are several indicators based on which we have identified spammers. We have developed an AI-enabled spam detection solution which analyses calls in 2 milliseconds and alerts users on the dialer," Vittal added.
