Mumbai, Actor <keyword id="2104801" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kartik-aaryan" source="Orion">Kartik Aaryan</keyword> is set to star in filmmaker <keyword id="3778" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="karan-johar" source="Orion">Karan Johar</keyword>'s upcoming home production, the makers announced on Wednesday. The untitled film will be directed by Sandeep Modi of "The Night Manager" fame. A <keyword id="62161" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dharma-productions" source="Orion">Dharma Productions</keyword> and Balaji Telefilms Ltd presentation, the movie is a Dharma Productions project. It is produced by <keyword id="1732860" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="hiroo-yash-johar" source="Orion">Hiroo Yash Johar</keyword>, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shobha Kapoor, <keyword id="18583728" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ektaa-R-Kapoor" source="Orion">Ektaa R. Kapoor</keyword>. Karan Johar shared the announcement in an Instagram post on the occasion of Aaryan's 33 birthday. This film is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2025. "Kickstarting today with some special news on a special day!! Extremely thrilled to announce @dharmamovies &amp; @balajimotionpictures coming together for a film helmed by the exceptionally talented @sandeipm. "I find myself elated to also announce the supremely talented @kartikaaryan as our lead for this story that will unfold in cinemas on 15th August, 2025!!!!" the 51-year-old filmmaker wrote. He also extended birthday wishes to Aaryan and expressed his desire to collaborate with the actor again. "Kartik, happy birthday to you...may our collaboration only grow from strength to strength from hereon and never cease to create magic on the big screen," he said. In 2019, it was announced that Aaryan and Karan Johar would work together on "Dostana 2". Two years later, the makers said they will be recasting for the movie amid rumours about differences between the producer and the actor.

Kartik Aaryan to headline Karan Johar's next film production

Actor <keyword id="2618061" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="vicky-kaushal" source="Orion">Vicky Kaushal</keyword> will be starring in a new movie by <keyword id="3778" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="karan-johar" source="Orion">Karan Johar</keyword>'s <keyword id="62161" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="dharma-productions" source="Orion">Dharma Productions</keyword> and streaming service <keyword id="2189512" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="prime-video" source="Orion">Prime Video</keyword>, which is scheduled to release theatrically on July 28. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the yet-to-be-titled movie also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. The film will be available for streaming for Prime members, a statement read. The project is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Tiwari. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer is the second theatrical co-production that Prime Video is associated with <keyword id="55593" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="dharma" source="Orion">Dharma</keyword> Productions. Gaurav Gandhi, vice president, Prime Video, India, said: "Our association with Dharma for theatrical co-productions is a perfect extension of our existing deep association that includes licensed movies, direct-to-service premieres and Indian Originals across both series and films. We are delighted to collaborate with Prime Video on two theatrical films." Leo Media Collective is also a co-producer of the upcoming Vicky Kaushal film. Vicky Kaushal to star in Dharma and Prime Video's new movie

The first official trailer of Karan Johar’s upcoming movie <keyword id="6360799" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="brothers">Brothers</keyword> was released yesterday. An official remake of the Hollywood movie Warrior, the Hindi version stars <keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword>, <keyword id="1320874" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sidharth-Malhotra">Sidharth Malhotra</keyword>, Jacqueline Fernandes, and Jackie Shroff. 
 
In the trailer, we see Akshay and Sidharth as estranged brothers who face each other in a boxing ring. Jackie Shroff plays the role of their father while Jacqueline Fernandes plays Akshay Kumar’s wife. While Akshay plays David, a professor who turns to fighting to save her daughter’s life, Sidharth plays Monty, a fighter who becomes an internet sensation because of one viral video and wants to prove himself. 
 
The movie has been directed by Karan Malhotra, who has earlier directed the remake of the hit 1990 film Agneepath, starring Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt in leading roles. Produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Endemol India, the film is officially presented by Fox Star India, in association with Lionsgate. 
 The trailer was awaited by the respective fan followings of both the stars, and had been trending on Twitter for a few days. It has collected 1,567,134 views in less than 24 hours of being released, and has caught the fancy of many <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> stars as well.
