In a bid to take on Snapchat, <keyword id="1868750" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hike-Messenger">Hike messenger</keyword> just launched three new exciting features and now users will be able to share their lives through photos and videos. 
 
Hike launched three services-Stories, Camera and Live Filters for India. Through its Stories feature, people will be able to share real time moments with their friends through photos and videos. The stories will vanish 48 hours after being posted. 
 
Also, the in-built camera will help people to snap photos right inside from the app. Talking about Filters, Hike will have 12 Live Filters.

"In 2020, this is going to be the year that we start experimenting with revenue," he said and it doesn't necessarily need to reflect in the real world.  Revenue is just another feature In 2020, Hike plans to find out what consumers are willing to pay for and what can be given away for free. "Revenue is one more feature. Building revenue is also a part of the product development process," said Mittal. The aim is to take Hike Sticker Chat into a new era using technology to build an upgraded user experience around the <keyword id="8335972" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="hikemoji">HikeMoji</keyword>. Mittal describes it as, "a new user experience beyond messaging that's a safe place for people to hang out." He explains that the HikeMoji will be able to do multiple things within HikeLand. That will be the ecosystem around which Hike will build a virtual economy business model. Virtual economy is the untapped golden goose Mittal believes that since payments have not become seamless, microtransactions are going to emerge in a big way — and the virtual economy is the golden goose that no-one has tapped into. "Virtual economy business model is the one that's completely untapped in this market," he claimed. According to him, as virtual communities emerge and multiple verticals are created, economies can be integrated into them to add a layer to the consumer experience. Hike — as a 'bits-based' business — has no ties to the offline world, according to Mittal. There are no warehouses, no logistics and no delivery mechanisms. "We have already seen this [virtual economy] happen. More in the East than in the West. And, that's the model we're going to pursue," he explained. Hanging out online Hike's peak usage is between 10:00 pm to 12:00 am. According to Mittal, it's not because people are messaging or sending stickers at the time — it's simply because they want to hang out online with their friends after they're done with "family time". "If we want to build a safe place for people to hang out in 2020 for close friends or with their significant other, what would that look like? And, that's the big step that we're taking with HikeMoji — and HikeLand," said Mittal. Doubling down on existing bets In addition to launching HikeLand, Mittal will be doubling down on the bets that he's already made. In 2018, the Hike super app was unbundled into two verticals — messaging and gaming. This is a jump compared to this year, which saw 97.5% of Indian firms giving a salary hike to its employees. The average percentage of salary increment given to the employees this year was 8.8%. However, the report has forecast an increase to 9.4% in the year 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic may have disrupted people’s lives, but companies say that it has definitely not hampered productivity throughout these 18 months, as per AON. The survey also reveals that around 45.4% of companies saw an improvement in their overall business outlook. This percentage is also projected to further increase to 61.9% in 2022. Therefore, most of the companies decided to give a pay raise and bonuses to its employees. “Despite another wave of COVID-19 hitting the nation hard, Indian organisations have displayed resilience in riding through the tough times. While pandemic risk in India continues, the business sentiment and salary projections for 2022 tell us that employers are building for growth and are much better prepared than in 2020,” said Roopank Chaudhary, partner at AON’s human capital business in a press release. Other than the hospitality sector, engineering services and energy sector will have low salary increments for 2022. Another notable aspect is that the number of organisations choosing not to give an increment may also decline from 2.5% to 1.1%, which means that there will be very few companies that might not give an increment next year, according to the report. According to online recruitment and career solutions portal Wisdomjobs.com, most industries witnessed conservative appraisals that were considerably lower than the two-digit salary hikes seen in the previous year. "Most sectors have seen conservative appraisals this quarter on the back of several external factors that impacted them in the previous two quarters," Wisdomjobs.com founder &amp; CEO Ajay Kolla said. Kolla further said, "hiring outlook of Indian companies, although still positive, will be characterised by a wait-and- watch approach as they come to terms with the real impact of automation - especially in the IT sector - and the consequent need for re-skilling their employees". This trend is likely to continue for a couple of quarters before picking up again, he said. The survey noted that while layoffs, especially in the IT sector, contributed to maintain the overall attrition levels, voluntary attrition levels declined in the first quarter of this year. "This can be attributed to the uncertainty in the job market, and the consequent slowdown in hiring across most sectors," the survey said. Amid conservative appraisals in most sectors, the survey said the IT industry was in the forefront with several companies deciding to defer appraisals for middle and senior level staff. The healthcare and retail sector topped the <keyword id="6355281" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="salary-hike">salary hike</keyword> chart at 10.8 per cent, followed by hospitality and IT with 9.9 per cent and 9.8 per cent, respectively, the survey added. <keyword id="4860497" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="fmcg-telecom">FMCG &amp; Telecom</keyword> gave a hike of 9.6 per cent, while employees in infrastructure and manufacturing got salary hike of 9.2 per cent and 9 per cent, respectively.
