Without radical changes, TikTok <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-tiktok-ban-why-do-they-want-to-ban-2022-12">could vanish from the US</a>. The renewed "Made in America" trend is going to make things like <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/made-in-america-products-more-expensive-2022-12">clothing and electronics more expensive</a>. These are all huge storylines for 2023 driven by increasing <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/chinese-fighter-jet-flew-within-feet-of-us-military-aircraft-2022-12">tensions</a> between China and the US. Abundance agenda: While many one-off purchases have gotten less expensive over time (think a new car, TV, or computer), recurring costs like <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/average-college-tuition">college tuition</a>, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/healthcare-cost-increase-forecast-making-it-more-expensive-for-you-2022-10">healthcare</a>, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/are-home-prices-rising-housing-inflation-cpi-september-rate-hikes-2022-10">housing costs</a>, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/affordable-childcare-problem-is-going-to-get-worse-2022-12">childcare</a>, energy, and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/global-food-crisis-higher-prices-shortages-civil-unrest-2022-8">food</a>, have increased in the US. The <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/01/scarcity-crisis-college-housing-health-care/621221/">abundance agenda</a> posits that the US (and much of the Western world) has the ability to change course if it makes it easier to invest in these long-term goals: to train more doctors, build more houses, and develop renewables. I'm fascinated to see whether this argument gains momentum in 2023. Tech discipline: The<a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/google-perks-facebook-employee-benefits-office-life-2022-12"> cushy perks of tech work</a> are disappearing. Big tech companies are making their <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/stack-ranking-examples-facebook-salesforce-google-2022-12">performance reviews tougher</a>. Tech founders are applauding Elon Musk's brutal crackdown at Twitter and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-hardcore-twitter-culture-inspires-fellow-tech-founders-2022-12">may look to follow suit</a>. Silicon Valley's newfound financial discipline will continue into 2023, likely leading to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/big-tech-moonshots-over-amazon-facebook-google-microsoft-2022-9">more moon shots</a> getting killed, startups going under, and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/34-tech-companies-most-likely-acquired-private-equity-lbo-2022-12">more consolidation and take-private deals</a>.  The carmaker has also tried to showcase better safety technology by introducing dual airbags, side curtain airbags, <keyword id="433383" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="anti-lock-braking-system">anti-lock braking system</keyword> (ABS), reverse parking camera, <keyword id="959914" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="20" keywordseo="electronic-stability-control">electronic stability control</keyword> (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM) as well as hill-start assist control (HAC). 
 <keyword id="2924368" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundais-CRETA-SUV">Hyundai's CRETA SUV</keyword> was unveiled in India on June 27. According to BS Seo, managing director &amp; CEO, HMIL, “The CRETA is the most awaited and aspirational SUV of the year and would be a revolutionary product in the Hyundai portfolio." 
 Seo further added, "The global SUV CRETA will herald a new chapter in <keyword id="108829" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundai-Motor-India">Hyundai Motor India</keyword>’s success story and will set a new benchmark in the SUV segment of India with unmatched capabilities." 
 With its CRETA, Hyundai will take on Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, <keyword id="43777" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Renault">Renault</keyword> and <keyword id="46283" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nissan">Nissan</keyword> in the India’s fast-growing compact SUV market.

MG launches ZS EV's 2021 facelift in India at ₹20.99 lakh with 419 km range

German auto major <keyword id="6361865" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Volkswagen">Volkswagen</keyword> will soon launch its utility vehicles in India. According to an ET report, the brand’s India office has been regularly sending feedback to its head office in Germany about the utility vehicles that are being built on the company’s multibillion-dolliar modular platform, MQB/MLB. 
 
The report also suggested that the brand’s new Polo and Vento will be manufactured in India and their launch plans are yet to be finalized. However, the new range of models are expected to hit the market by 2018. The company is also mulling to launch its sports and multi-utility vehicles in the country as well. 
 
The company may also consider to develop India as its manufacturing hub for its exports. As per the report, the company has sent its executives to work closely with the product team, offering engineering feedback in order to customize the models for India and other export markets. 
 
It should be noted that the German car maker had exhibited its Taigun compact SUV at the auto expo last year. The company now aims to sync its India products with those for the global platforms, which have moved towards hi-tech modular platforms. 
 "We are focusing on the segments which we haven't cleared so far and this is an intensive programme that we are running through this year to make these decisions," Mayer said. "I am giving that input to the board, two-three times a year. Board is very receptive to that, as the decision has to be made,” said <keyword id="1330635" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Michael-Mayer">Michael Mayer</keyword>, brand director of <keyword id="159682" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Volkswagen-India">Volkswagen India</keyword> in the report. 
 
He added that apart from clocking in good sales number and maintaining customer satisfaction, he is also responsible for sending inputs on the Indian market to his headquarters. 
 Interestingly, other auto makers have also been prepping up for launching their utility vehicle portfolio in India. Some of these brands include <keyword id="6374528" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Toyota">Toyota</keyword>, <keyword id="20630" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Honda">Honda</keyword>, <keyword id="44883" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki">Maruti Suzuki</keyword>, Hyundai and <keyword id="42747" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata-Motors">Tata Motors</keyword>. Currently, the utility vehicle segment in India comprises a fifth of the overall auto market and grew at 10.82% at the end of FY 15.
