The country's largest two-wheeler maker <keyword id="6357252" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> on Tuesday launched BS-VI compliant version of its entry level 100 cc bike, HF Deluxe with price starting at Rs 55,925. The HF Deluxe BS-VI will be available at Rs 55,925 for self-start alloy-wheel variant and Rs 57,250 for self-start alloy i3S variant (prices ex-showroom Delhi) from the beginning of January 2020, the company said in a statement. The launch of HF Deluxe BS-VI follows the recent launch of the company's first-ever BS-VI product, Splendor iSmart.
 "With these products coming in quick succession, Hero MotoCorp is rapidly ramping-up its portfolio of BS-VI products and plans to transform its entire range to BS-VI norms very soon," it said.
 Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Executive Director - Operations (Plants) and Chief Technology Officer Vikram Kasbekar said: "At Hero MotoCorp, we have been working towards ensuring a smooth transition to the BS-VI norms, not just for us but also for all our stakeholders, the industry and most importantly the customers."
 He further said, "We are into the final leg of this transition phase and key products in our portfolio like the HF Deluxe are being transitioned now to ensure smooth ramp-up."
 Stating that the company's BS-IV inventories are low and will not be replenished going forward, Kasbekar added, "We will be introducing a slew of BS-VI products in the coming weeks."
 Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said HF Deluxe has already entered the two-million sales club and commands well over two-third market share in the category.
 "With the new HF Deluxe BS-VI, powered by programmed FI (fuel injection) technology, we have further enhanced the performance and efficiency of the motorcycle."
 The company said the new HF Deluxe BS-VI has been designed and developed completely in-house at the company's R&amp;D hub, the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Hero MotoCorp launches HF Deluxe BS-VI starting at ₹55,925

New Delhi, Feb 27 () Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp on Thursday launched BS-VI compliant version of its popular motorcycle model Super Splendor with price starting at Rs 67,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). Super Splendor BS-VI is powered by an all-new 125cc engine with programmed fuel injection delivering power of 10.73 BHP, which is 19 per cent more than the previous version. It comes in two variants -- self start, drum brake with alloy wheel priced at Rs 67,300 and self start, disc brake with alloy wheel priced at Rs 70,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), Hero MotoCorp said in a statement. Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said, "The Super Splendor has remained one of the most popular motorcycles in India and we are sure this trend will get further strengthened with the new Super Splendor BS-VI." The motorcycle has been revamped to give it a distinct identity and make it more capable than ever, he added. "With this launch, almost our entire portfolio has now migrated to the new emission regime," Masson said. The company has already stopped production of all BS-IV products and is now manufacturing only BS-VI products, Hero MotoCorp said. New Delhi, Feb 10 () Honda Motorcycle &amp; Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday said it has launched BS-VI compliant version of its 110cc scooter Dio, with price starting at Rs 59,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated model is available in two variants -- Standard and Deluxe -- priced at Rs 59,990 and Rs 63,340, respectively. "With more than 33 lakh happy customers, Dio is not just one of the highest selling scooters in the country but also the number one exported scooter from India. The new BS-VI Dio with its new sporty aggressive design and advanced technology will create new excitement among fun seeking youngsters," HMSI Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing Yadvinder Singh Guleria said in a statement. The company has opened bookings for the scooter across the country, he added. "The BS-VI Dio will start arriving at our network next week onwards and the deliveries will start thereafter," he added. New Delhi, Jan 29 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday said it has commenced despatching of its first BS-VI compliant scooter model -- Pleasure+ 110 FI. 
 The scooter in BS-VI avatar is priced at Rs 54,800 for self-start sheet wheel and Rs 56,800 for self-start alloy wheel trim.
 "We have been smoothly migrating to BS-VI norms, with the Pleasure+ 110 BS-VI coming in quick succession to the HF Deluxe and Splendor iSmart BS-VI motorcycles," Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning - Malo Le Masson said in a statement.
 Given the strong customer connect of brand Pleasure, the company is confident that the new Pleasure+ too will be a hit with the youth, he added.
 "We have lined up a slew of BS-VI products to be rolled-out in the market in the coming weeks," Masson said.
 The company has already introduced BS-VI compliant versions of HF Deluxe and Splendor iSmart bikes.

Hero MotoCorp commences despatching BS-VI compliant scooter model

New Delhi, Dec 12 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp plans to drive in BS-VI upgrades of around ten products, including five top-selling bikes and scooters by February next year, as it aims to upgrade its product portfolio well before the deadline of April, 1 2020, according to sources.
 The two wheeler major plans to showcase the upgraded products at an event in February 2020 at its R&amp;D centre (Centre of Innovation and Technology), in Jaipur,
 "Within the next 4-8 weeks, the company will launch around ten BS-VI products including its key products such as Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour motorcycles and Maestro Edge scooter," a company source said.
 Hero MotoCorp has already commenced the retail sales of its first BS-VI motorcycle, the Splendor iSmart in November 2019. 
 The transition to the higher emission norms for the company is being driven at its R&amp;D centre in Jaipur, which was commissioned in March 2016.
 Since then, Hero has further enhanced its in-house R&amp;D capabilities by setting-up the Hero Tech Center GmbH, near Munich in Germany. 
 Besides, the BS-VI transition, the company's is also focusing on a range of new premium products and accessories to increase its market share in such verticals.
 At the recent EICMA motor show in Milan, the Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Xtreme 1.R Concept which is expected to hit the roads soon.
"The XPulse Rally Edition that Hero will launch soon, has been developed basis the learnings from the company's motorsport team and will open up a new segment for biking enthusiasts in the country," the source said.
 When contacted, a company spokesperson said, "We have already launched Splendor iSmart in the market, which is the country's first BS-VI motorcycle. As stated earlier, we have also stopped production of more than 50 variants of our BS-IV range, and now aggressively working towards complete migration of our entire range to BS-VI norms. We will make the announcements on specific products at an appropriate time closer to their market launch."

Customers are ready to bear the one-time high cost in EVs rather than incurring the recurring high operational costs led by rising fuel costs,” said a report by LKP Securities. While electric vehicles are costlier, their maintenance and operation costs are relatively lower than their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. Tata Motors’ EV portfolio now accounts for 15% of its sales, up from 5% a year ago, according to a report by LKP Securities. The company’s Nexon EV remains one of the top performers in the EV segment, with a waiting period of 20-25 days. Tata Motors’ more affordable EV offering, the Tiago EV, has an even higher waiting period of up to two months. Price hikes due to higher input costs and BS VI emission norms, higher fuel prices, and inflation woes have contributed to the decline. “Young customers are not favouring the entry level or small hatchbacks like Wagon R, Alto models and are ready to wait till the SUVs are available,” the brokerage noted, underlining that entry-level car sales continued to struggle. The subdued demand was somewhat offset by the marriage season, according to analysts at Motilal Oswal. The brokerage added that premium two-wheelers like those from Royal Enfield have seen their demand remaining intact. Uncertainties in Nigeria, one of Bajaj Auto’s biggest foreign markets, is likely behind the decision to cut down production, the report added. Passenger vehicles to continue driving auto sales in February, EVs gain a stronghold

New Delhi, Feb 6 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported a 17.07 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 905.13 crore for the quarter ended on December 31, 2019. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 772.81 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Hero MotoCorp said in a filing to the BSE. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 7,074.86 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 7,937.33 crore for the same period year ago. The company also announced an interim dividend of 3,250 per cent amounting to Rs 65 per share, Hero MotoCorp said. "The two-wheeler industry continues to face challenges amidst an overall economic slowdown. Early indicators, such as a positive Rabi crop, augur well for the rural economy, which in turn is likely to help the industry," Hero MotoCorp CFO Niranjan Gupta said. The company expects to see positive turnaround in the second half of 2020-21, he added. During the third quarter of 2019-20, Hero MotoCorp launched India's first BS-VI motorcycle Splendor iSmart and then followed it with first BS-VI motorcycle in the entry segment- the HF-Deluxe, the company said. The company is geared-up to transition its entire product range to the new emission norms well before the regulatory deadline and plans to stop all BS-IV production by mid- February, Hero MotoCorp said.
