The platform offered a severance package of two months to the laid-off employees, with two weeks per year served at the startup. "As a part of our severance and support to those impacted, we will offer 2 months' salary severance with 2 weeks per year served at HealthifyMe, vested stocks till March 2023, and medical insurance continuance till June 2023, along with counseling and outplacement support," said the company. According to the company, it caters to more than 30 million users in over 300 cities with over 2,000 coaches. While HealthifyMe's base has been India, it has been expanding internationally and now nearly 25 per cent of its revenues come from outside the country like Malaysia and Singapore, it had said in July. Healthifyme, which is the top rated Indian startup on Google Playstore, is also set to see its India business turn profitable this year. When Tushar Vashisht, co-founder and CEO, Healthifyme, came back to India nine years ago, he was one of the first ten members who were on the Aadhar team and went on to work in Project Strategy, working on the early adoption of Aadhar. Hit by the entrepreneurial bug, Vashisht, who had gained a lot of weight post his India return, knew that obesity in India was a problem he had to solve. In 2012, he launched Healthifyme for he had learnt that the biggest thing people needed was motivation. “We offered nutritionists and trainers to people as services, giving our users guidance and helping them stay motivated. What started as a small idea is a large business now. One and a half years ago, we launched Ria - our Artificial Intelligence assistant, which caters to 54% of the messages we get daily,” Vashisht told Business Insider. Today, they have roughly nine million users from 220+ cities and revenue-wise too they are growing strongly. “Our India business is likely to go profitable sometime this year,” said Vashisht. Even when they launched the app, their growth was very organic. “People loved the app, as they recognised its value – it helps them achieve their <keyword id="18974" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="fitness">fitness</keyword> goals. We very quickly became the highest rated app in India and also were the Editor’s Choice app on Google Playstore,” he said. What stuck with India users was the very fact that their app was very Indian in nature – focusing on nutrition needs in India. “We were obsessed about the product and consumers. We just focused on how can we create the best app out of India. The app that you see today is the 7th version of Healthifyme,” he said. It has also launched an AI assistant – Ria. But could fitness, which becomes a very personalised programme, be handled by an AI bot? “Humans can’t scale so much. At the end of the day, there is a limit to how many clients we can handle. Ria is born and built out of human data. Ria handles the basic work – answers the basic questions and issues, which then allows humans to take over the in-depth queries,” he said. Cumulatively, the app sees consumers track one billion exercises a day and also send in 50 million messages per day. Their success in India has also pushed it to go international. They have already launched in Malaysia and Singapore and have hired local nutritionists and trainers in the countries to ensure the app becomes a local one. “We are already the number one app in Malaysia and have lakhs of users in Singapore,” said Vashisht. As they expand their business, they are looking into newer territories like Indonesia and are also contemplating a China entry. India's <keyword id="2914658" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="leading-smartphone-handset-player">leading smartphone handset player</keyword>, <keyword id="181985" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Micromax-Informatics-Limited">Micromax Informatics Limited</keyword>, on Monday announced its investment in <keyword id="6433699" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ixigo">ixigo</keyword>, a mobile travel search and marketplace. 

	ixigo helps Indian travellers plan their trips, find the best train and bus services, book cheapest flights, cabs, hotels and more. Following the investment, Micromax will strengthen its foray into application services. It will also give ixigo a reach of over 30 million incremental users over the next year.
 <keyword id="13079" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rahul-Sharma">Rahul Sharma</keyword>, Co-founder, Micromax Informatics said, "We are really impressed with ixigo's talented team and its mobile technology. We look forward to working closely with them to build on-demand and one-click travel experiences for Micromax consumers. We will be announcing more such partnerships over the next few months to accelerate our journey into services." Micromax had last month announced that it would be making <keyword id="6362476" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="investments">investments</keyword> of 20 million dollars in over 20 startups in the coming year. For this objective, Micromax has also set up an M&amp;A team which has been actively sourcing and working with startups across major technology markets such as <keyword id="6357722" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="silicon-valley">Silicon Valley</keyword>, Europe, Israel and India to bring in the best products and capabilities. 

	Meanwhile, Aloke Bajpai, CEO &amp; co-founder, ixigo said, "Eighty per cent of our travel &amp; transportation queries and 50% of our transactions currently originate on mobile devices. This partnership with Micromax will strengthen our market leadership in mobile travel services for middle class users. We expect to quadruple our mobile user-base in the next 12 months."
 

	ixigo aims to provide relevant travel services to the next 300 million smartphone users, and has recently entered the budget hotels, packages &amp; cabs segments. It plans to use this investment for expanding its product &amp; technology team and to add 25,000 small and mid-sized travel service providers to its marketplace offering, making ixigo the most comprehensive platform for comparing and buying travel services on mobile.

After Healthifyme.com, Micromax invests in ixigo

Micromax was one of the first home-grown companies to get into the smartphone race. Cut to now, the company is already one of the largest players in the business and also has a sub-brand called as Yu Televentures. But this is not news; the news is that the company is now looking to pump in $400 million in Indian start ups. 
 
While talking to PTI, Micromax co-founder <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/Rahul-Sharma" target="_blank">Rahul Sharma</a>, said "Going ahead, we will invest in not less than 20 start-ups, where we see synergies. We are looking at building an ecosystem of connected devices and offer customised experience to users”. 
 
The very first company that has benefitted from this move is Bangalore-based start-up HealthifyMe, which is an app in fitness space and also offers a wearable. If the chances of Micromax making a wearable product has been just a rumor till now then things are sure to speed up with this latest development. 
 
Without divulging on the investment details, Micromax has categorically stated its intentions to look beyond mobile and smartphones in the coming years. This development falls in line with promise made by Micromax co-founder, Rahul Sharma who talked up the prospect of funding startups which will enable the brand to differentiate from what it has been doing all these years. 
 
 Democratising has been part of Micromax’s strategy since the start of 2015. While they have been present in the television space for a while now, they recently announced themselves in the PC+ segment with first-ever Micromax branded 2-in-1 Windows device. 
 
By investing its energy and efforts into HealthifyMe, Micromax could be angling at the wearable segment in a discreet way and now that people are getting to know all about a fitness gear, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to have Micromax making wearable debut in the coming months. 
 
Either that, or Micromax will utilize HealtifyMe’s prowess to develop software ecosystem that will be provided on future Canvas devices. Whatever be the case, it will be interesting to see if Micromax vies for some heated action against the likes of Xiaomi Mi Band.

With Lost Mode, iPhone customers who misplace their AirPods will now be able to leave a message and contact phone number. The interface used in Find Nearby is similar to the layout of <keyword id="8269941" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="airtag" source="Orion">AirTag</keyword>, with a large "target" dot that decreases in size when a user gets closer to AirPods. Instead of AirTag's green dot, AirPods features a blue graphic. AirPods' new Find My capabilities were initially expected to roll out with iOS 15 last month, but Apple delayed the release. The update issued is automatically downloaded as well as installed when AirPods Pro and AirPods Max are connected to a host device and there is no method of manual installation. Prior to the update, AirPods Pro was listed on the Find My app but the functionality did not work as you might expect. New Delhi, May 2 () Internet companies like Urban Company, MakeMyTrip, Dunzo, HealthifyMe and Zomato are changing their social media handles and app icons to promote wearing face masks as a hygiene practice amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Apna Mask initiative -- an effort by StartUpVsCOVID (a startup community with over 1,000 members) -- is promoting homemade masks and aims to drive behavioural change to ensure that people wear masks and stay protected as they step out of their homes. The #ApnaDeshApnaMask campaign was kicked off by startup industry stalwarts like Rajan Anandan of Sequoia India, Paytm's Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Alok Mittal (Indifi), Vishal Gondal (GoQii) and others. They were later joined by celebrities like Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Juhi Chawla, Divya Khosla Kumar, Juhi Parmar, Deepshika Deshmukh, Sonu Sood, Shama Sikander, Preetika Rao and others. Within a span of two weeks, the initiative has garnered 100 million outreach across digital platforms, including WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The team working on the campaign also reached out to various organisations to support the initiative, especially as parts of the country get ready to come out of the lockdown which has been extended till May 17. These brands are also inviting more companies to join the initiative. "Given the immense response we have received, we will have more brands join #ApnaMask in this critical initiative. We believe some of these steps will be helpful in building habit changing behaviour towards wearing homemade masks," Poonam Kaul, co-founder of ApnaMask, said. In a separate statement, Crowdera -- an online fundraising platform -- said it is offering its premium syndicated fundraising technology solutions for free to companies and NGOs working to help the COVID-19 affected individuals, families and health workers. "Crowdera will be extending its support through offering its products and services worth almost USD 150,000 (Rs 1 crore) free to organisations aiding the affected...The solution will help corporations and NGOs to quickly syndicate with their own employees, influencers, other foundations, or charity partners to raise funds 10X more than through a regular crowdfunding campaign," it said.
