Back in June 2019, she was also booked because of her <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/movies/hard-kaurs-twitter-account-suspended-after-rapper-posts-video-supporting-khalistan-movement-2269827.html">negative remarks</a> against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. Here’s why Twitter suspended rapper Hard Kaur’s account and singer Mika Singh faces ban from the film association

After first launching <keyword id="9421058" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Voice-tweets">voice tweets</keyword> in June 2020, micro-blogging site <keyword id="6354616" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Twitter">Twitter</keyword> is now rolling out captions for voice tweets.<br /><br />According to The Verge, now, when users make a voice tweet, currently available on the iOS app right now, captions will be automatically generated in supported languages.<br /><br />"As part of our ongoing work to make Twitter accessible for everyone, we're rolling out automated captions for Voice Tweets to iOS," said <keyword id="258701" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gurpreet-Kaur">Gurpreet Kaur</keyword>, Twitter's head of global accessibility<br /><br />"Though it's still early and we know it won't be perfect at first, it's one of many steps wea¿re taking to expand and strengthen accessibility across our service, and we look forward to continuing our journey to create a truly inclusive service," <keyword id="6408334" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kaur">Kaur</keyword> added.<br /><br />The currently supported languages are English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, French, Indonesian, Korean and Italian.<br /><br />To see the captions on a tweet, users can click or tap the CC icon in the top-right corner of the voice tweet window. Twitter rolls out captions for voice tweets for iOS app

A week after temporarily suspending his account, <keyword id="6354616" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Twitter">Twitter</keyword> restored <keyword id="48496" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Congress-leader">Congress leader</keyword> <keyword id="5268" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rahul-Gandhi">Rahul Gandhi</keyword>'s handle Saturday, but not before the principal opposition party accused it of bias.<br /><br />Gandhi's account was temporarily suspended last week after he tweeted pictures of the family of a nine-year-old victim of alleged rape and murder in Northwest Delhi. Twitter deemed it violation of its rules.<br /><br />Sources said the Twitter accounts of some of the party leaders who had shared the same pictures have also been restored.<br /><br />"Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account has been unlocked," a party functionary said, adding the accounts of some of the leaders have also been restored.<br /><br />The former <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword> chief had made a strong outburst on Friday accusing Twitter of "interfering in the national political process" and said shutting down of his handle amounted to an "attack on the country's democratic structure".<br /><br />Gandhi, in a YouTube video statement titled "Twitter's dangerous game", alleged that it was not a neutral and objective platform and was "beholden to the government".<br /><br />Questioning Twitter's action, Gandhi had said the company was denying millions of his followers the right to an opinion, which was unfair.<br /><br />"It's obvious now that Twitter is actually not a neutral, objective platform. It is a biased platform. Twitter restores Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's account

It captures the 22-year-old fully clothed on a bed, facing away from the camera, during menstruation. Women wearing next to nothing is commonplace, but if you're over a size 10 your account may be banned."</p><p>It doesn't make sense for social media to "protect men" from breast milk and periods when there is constant flow of beach snaps and models in skimpy outfits.</p><p>"The broader message to women couldn't be clearer: SeXXXy images are appropriate, but images of women's bodies doing normal women body things are not," Valenti adds. Instagram censored a photo of a woman on her period and the internet isn't happy

<p>As of 10 a.m., it was down nearly 4%, trading at about $30.65 per share. <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/twitter-all-time-low-2014-5#!Keact">Tuesday was a horrible day for Twitter</a>. It fell nearly 18%. </p>
<p>Part of the reason why Twitter fell so much is because the employee lockup period expired Tuesday. Many employees likely cashed in their stock. But it's important to note Twitter's founders and biggest stakeholders have said they don't plan to cash in.</p>
<p>Twitter's tumble began last week when it reported that its monthly active user growth is slowing. It has 255 million monthly active users, which is smaller than Facebook (1.28 billion), LinkedIn (300 million), and WhatsApp (500 million).</p>
<p>Still, Twitter's financials look pretty good. And because Twitter bought the mobile ad company MoPub last year, it has a nice safety net in its mobile ad network.</p>

It has been edited for length and clarity.</em></p><p>Whizzing around in a tuk-tuk in the <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/train-ride-experience-through-sri-lanka-hill-country-3-dollars-7-hours-2018-11">Sri Lankan city of Kandy</a>, I felt exhilarated as the rickety vehicle weaved in and out of the traffic.</p><p>It was just as thrilling as the ride I'd taken along bumpy roads with a busload of locals between the island's capital and a gorgeous beach.</p><p>The sense of freedom and independence was overwhelming. At 43, I finally found the courage to travel alone.</p><p>Until July this year, I'd only been away with family members, usually my mom. The one time she didn't join me was the honeymoon I spent with my former husband in 2008. The relationship lasted a year, and I moved back in with my parents. I've been single since then.</p><h2 id="53abda82-650d-4175-97b9-91a60caffee9"><strong>I never went on vacation with girlfriends</strong></h2><p>Before and after my marriage, I spent every break with the people who raised me. I'm from <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-sikhs-in-america-celebrate-vaisakhi-2024-4">a traditional Sikh family</a>, and traveling as a unit is often customary.</p><p>I never went on vacation with girlfriends, for example. But I didn't feel like I was missing out. I always had fun with my close relatives.</p><p>Over the years, we have visited places in the UK, such as North Wales, and flown to Canada and India to stay with our extended family.</p><p>My dad, now 76, joined us. Around his mid-50s, he decided he didn't like traveling much and generally preferred to stay at home.</p><div type="image" title="A daughter holds her mother's hand as they wade in the ocean." height="1512" width="2016" msid="113330289" hostid="261" sizebytes="226238"></div><p>Luckily for me, my mom was more adventurous. She's easygoing and a great travel companion. We've been to cities across Europe, such as Valencia, and further afield, to Las Vegas and <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/top-10-destinations-executives-remote-working-abroad-dubai-abu-dhabi-2024-8">Abu Dhabi</a>.</p><p>Mom was up for anything. Our most hilarious vacation was in Cyprus. One day, we went on a coach trip and got off at the wrong stop, ending up in a resort town that was party central.</p><p>There were all these young people on the beach, half of them naked. But Mom went ahead and enjoyed herself, thinking it was funny.</p><p>Unfortunately, we couldn't <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/most-surprising-things-about-flying-during-the-pandemic-2020-7">travel during COVID</a>. I missed it a lot because it broadens your mind. It made me feel a bit trapped in the house.</p><p>Then, my mom <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/woman-shares-misdiagnosis-signs-blood-cancer-myeloma-2022-12">contracted blood cancer</a> at 72. <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/minreet_kaur/?hl=en">I'm a freelance writer</a>, but I am now her primary carer. I coordinate her medical treatments and handle all the paperwork.</p><h2 id="c5ab44c7-59b1-42df-a234-eacfe4931100">I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and travel alone</h2><p>In many Asian families, it often falls on daughters to take responsibility for their parents as they get older. It's a respect thing. I'm happy to help. but it's difficult when you're trying to juggle it with work.</p><p>Mom noticed how hard it was. Despite her health issues, she recognized that I needed to spread my wings. "You should travel again, even on your own," she said. "I'll be fine."</p><p>I realized I was the main person holding myself back. It was a combination of guilt about leaving my parents and fear of stepping out of my comfort zone. But I knew I was getting older and should embrace new opportunities.</p><p>So, two months ago, I decided to take life by the horns and visit Sri Lanka. </p><div type="image" title="A woman standing at the door of a train as it travels through the Sri Lankan hill country." height="2268" width="3024" msid="113330290" hostid="261" sizebytes="650600"></div><p>I met some great people. We went on a safari, spotted elephants, and toured the hill country. I rode a motorbike, visited a religious site, and saw beautiful waterfalls. I felt daring but perfectly safe. It was good to be in my own company. I gained more confidence as the days went on. I was never anxious or scared because I wasn't with my family.</p><p>Still, I was in touch with my parents daily, so they didn't worry about me. My uncles and a few friends who lived nearby checked in on my mom and her procedures.</p><h2 id="21a01d11-28d4-4112-9481-84045bd29d51">I now have a bucket list of destinations</h2><p>Mom and Dad were perfectly OK when I returned. Mom was particularly pleased to hear about my adventures.</p><p>The whole experience has left me wanting more. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image"><p class="source"><span>CIA</span></p></div><p></p></div>The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency ramped up its attempts at humor Monday with a series of posts fired off on its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/cia-joins-twitter-2014-6">new Twitter account</a> - complete with snarky hashtags like "#sorrynotsorry."</p>
<p>The CIA said the <a href="https://twitter.com/cia">tweets</a> were in response to questions the spy agency received since joining Twitter <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/cia-twitter-2014-6">exactly one month ago</a>.</p>
<p>In one, the CIA claimed not to be aware of the status of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, who has been the subject of ongoing conspiracy theories since his 1996 assassination.</p>
<p>"No, we don't know where Tupac is," the agency quipped.</p>
<p>Despite its far-reaching information-collecting efforts, the CIA further said it couldn't help users with their lost Twitter passwords.</p>
<p>"No, we don't know your password, so we can't send it to you," the CIA wrote. "#sorrynotsorry."</p>
<p>The CIA also joked about talk-show host and actress Ellen DeGeneres, who <a href="https://twitter.com/TheEllenShow/status/475010288547147777">once said</a> she hoped the CIA would follow her account.</p>
<p>"Sorry for not following you back," the CIA replied. "But if you visit us maybe we can take a selfie?"</p>

The CIA Is Trying Too Hard To Be Cute On Twitter

A fake Warren Buffett account is blowing up on Twitter

<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="11897862" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="elon-musk" source="Orion">Elon Musk</keyword> got into an argument on <keyword id="11892744" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="twitter" source="Orion">Twitter</keyword> with the satirical <keyword id="11893589" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="news" source="Orion">news</keyword> site <keyword id="14078126" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="hard-drive" source="Orion">Hard Drive</keyword>.</li><li>Hard Drive made fun of Musk after he posted an image from one of its articles.</li></ul><p>Elon Musk got into a heated back-and-forth with a satirical website after posting a picture from one of the site's articles.</p><p>In a now-deleted tweet, Musk posted an image from an article from writer Max Barth published by satirical video game news website Hard Drive, without accreditation.</p><p>Hard Drive replied in a tweet: "hey i'll give u a horse if u stop cropping our name off our articles."</p><p>Insider previously reported that Musk's company, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-sexual-misconduct-claim-involved-horse-for-erotic-massage-2022-5?r=US&amp;IR=T">SpaceX, paid an air stewardess $250,000</a> in 2018 after she brought a sexual misconduct complaint about Musk, in which she said that he exposed himself to her and offered her a horse in exchange for a sexual favour in 2016.</p><p>Musk has <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-says-woman-accused-him-sexually-harassing-friend-liar-2022-5?r=US&amp;IR=T">denied the sexual misconduct claims</a>.</p><p>Musk responded to Hard Drive: "Well, if you make something that looks like a meme &amp; someone (not me) crops off your name, so it goes."</p><p>He added the image was only a "6/10 meme."</p><p>Hard Drive countered with another article titled: "Elon Musk admits he wants to travel to Mars because no one hates him there yet."</p><p>"Less funny than SNL on a bad day," Musk retorted.</p><p>Hard Drive replied: "Well you're the expert on SNL's bad days," including a picture of Musk from his <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-snl-nbcs-portrayal-of-billionaire-uncritical-2021-5?r=US&amp;IR=T">appearance on Saturday Night Live</a> in May 2021.</p><p>Musk also asserted the site's humor wasn't funny because it was "woke." Musk has complained in the past about what he calls the "woke mind virus." It's not clear what part of Hard Drive's humor he found to be woke, or why.</p><p>Musk takes pride in his sense of humor and told a court in July 2021 that his <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-tesla-technoking-jokes-funny-free-press-court-solarcity-2021-7?r=US&amp;IR=T">jokes generate free press for his electric vehicle company Tesla</a>.</p><p>Hard Drive rounded off its interaction with Musk by publishing a <a href="https://t.co/MiBvjl3jXb">highly sardonic article</a> titled: "Hard Drive Apologizes to Elon Musk for Dunking on Him Too Hard."</p><p>Musk did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment made outside of normal working hours.</p><p>Hard Drive isn't the only satirical news site to draw Musk's ire. In March 2021 he also expressed his distaste towards satirical news site The Onion after it joked that Musk — who is from South Africa — was wealthy because of apartheid.</p><p>"Shame on you, Onion," Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1375214332028444674?lang=en">tweeted</a>.</p><p>Musk has also been accused before of posting memes and images without crediting creators. When contacted by <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/07/style/elon-musk-memes.html">The New York Times</a> for a piece about him stealing memes, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-stealing-memes-uncredited-new-york-times-2021-5?r=US&amp;IR=T">Musk responded with two uncredited memes</a>.</p><p>In 2019, Musk engaged in an <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-twitter-argument-deleted-tweets-2019-6?r=US&amp;IR=T">argument on Twitter over whether he should credit fan art</a>, during which he tweeted "always credit everyone" and "no one should be credited with anything ever."  </p><p>In 2018, the billionaire got into a <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/interview-with-elon-musk-farting-unicorn-artist-tom-edwards-2018-6?r=US&amp;IR=T">copyright dispute with a potter after Tesla started using icons of a farting unicorn</a>. Although Musk originally implied in now-deleted tweets the potter should have been grateful for the exposure. Musk and the potter <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-settles-dispute-with-farting-unicorn-artist-tom-edwards-2018-7?r=US&amp;IR=T">reached an undisclosed resolution</a>.</p>
