New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): Once notorious for oversupply and all-round market disarray, Delhi-NCR's real estate sector is witnessing a reversal of winds as the unsold inventory in the region has declined by a massive 57 per cent in the last five years, the latest report by real estate consultant Anarock Group observed. The report added the unsold real stock in the national capital region declined from approx. 2 lakh units at Q1 2018-end to approx. 86,420 units by Q1 2024-end. In the same period, the main southern cities saw their unsold stock decline from approx. 1.96 lakh units in Q1 2018 to over 1.76 lakh units in Q1 2024. Gurgaon holds the highest stock with approximately 33,326 units, marking a 37 per cent decrease. Greater Noida follows with about 18,668 units, having reduced its stock by 70 per cent. Ghaziabad's inventory declined dramatically by 70 per cent to around 11,011 units. Noida saw a 71 per cent decrease, with approximately 7,451 unsold units remaining. Combined, Delhi, Faridabad, and Bhiwadi have about 15,964 unsold units, a 31 per cent reduction since 2018, as per the report. It further observes the top Southern markets Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai saw their collective unsold stock shrink by 11 per cent in this period. MMR and Pune in the West saw their cumulative unsold stock reduced by 8 per cent. In the East, Kolkata saw its unsold inventory decline by an impressive 41 per cent in the period. Citing the reason behind the low decline of unsold inventory, the real estate consultant added that there have been massive new property launches in Hyderabad, most notably over the last two years. The city saw its housing stock almost quadrupled in the last 5 years. Bengaluru saw unsold inventory decline by 50 per cent in this period. In the West, MMR and Pune saw unsold stock decline by 8 per cent in the last five years - from approx. 3.13 lakh units in Q1 2018 to approx. 2.90 lakh units in Q1 2024, the report added.

In March last year, DLF had sold 1,137 luxury apartments, priced Rs 7 crore and above, in its housing project in Gurugram for over Rs 8,000 crore within 3 days. Now, DLF has launched new project 'DLF Privana South' which is spread over 25 acre in Sectors 76 and 77, Gurugram. "This luxury residential offering by DLF was sold out within 72 hours, in its pre-launch phase," DLF said. The project will comprise 1,113 luxury residences across 7 towers, presenting 4 BHK apartments and penthouses. DLF Privana South will be part of a larger development, "DLF Privana" spread over 116 acre. Aakash Ohri, Joint Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, DLF Home Developers Ltd, said, "The swift pre-launch sellout serves as a testament to the increasing demand for high-rise luxury developments by DLF, delivering the highly aspirational DLF lifestyle." To discourage bulk bookings, each buyer was allotted only one unit, with about 25 per cent of the sales coming from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and a booking amount of Rs 50 lakh. DLF Group has 215 million square feet of development potential across residential and commercial segment. The group has an annuity portfolio of over 42 million square feet. Gurugram-based Signature Global had logged a net profit of Rs 32.78 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing. Total income also declined to Rs 178.9 crore in April-June 2023-24 from Rs 559.01 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. This is the first quarterly result announced by the company after getting listed on stock exchanges recently. Last month, Signature Global successfully launched its Initial Public Offer (IPO). The total size of the IPO was Rs 730 crore, with a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 603 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of Rs 127 crore. The public issue was subscribed 11.88 times.

"I am the only attendant there [at home] and I cannot possibly administer the oxygen and drive the car at the same time,” Mukherji said, after he finally found someone with a bigger car to help drive his father to the hospital. Private ambulance operators not only have to pay monthly installments of around ₹55,000 to ₹60,000 per ambulance, but they also have to pay the drivers’ salaries and employ at least one attendant. They also have to pay doctors who are on-call. In the face of COVID-19, operation costs have surged even further since ambulances have to keep oxygen supply and personal protective equipment (PPE) topped up for every new COVID-19 patient. At times, they are also left waiting for several hours — with their ignition on to ensure the medical equipment is up and running — which adds to the operators’ cost, especially with fuel prices having increased this past year. COVID-19 patients are the ones paying the price amid the tussle over rates between the government and ambulance operators in Gurgaon

When contacted, Ericsson confirmed the development. "Bharti Airtel...and Ericsson...today demonstrated a throughput of over 1 GBPS on Bharti's live 5G trial network in Gurgaon's Cyber Hub," Ericsson confirmed. Sources said Airtel has lit up its 5G trial network in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon, and that the site is operating in the 3500 MHz band as per Telecom Department norms, and delivering throughput of over 1 Gbps. To put a perspective, 1GBPS would download a full 4k movie in less than a minute. Airtel has been allotted 5G trial spectrum in 3500 MHz, 28 GHz and 700 MHz in <keyword id="66" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi">Delhi</keyword> NCR, Mumbai, <keyword id="6354925" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata">Kolkata</keyword> and Bengaluru. Airtel and Ericsson demo over 1 GBPS throughput on live 5G trial network in Gurgaon's Cyber Hub

Gurugram comes to a standstill as heavy rains result in massive waterlogging

While Xiaomi led in 34 of the major 50 cities within the online channel, Vivo led in 44 of the major 50 cities within the offline channel. Half a million 5G devices were sold, with almost 80% from the top 10 cities of India. Around mid-March, the Gurgaon district administration has issued an advisory asking companies to allow their employees to work from home. “As of now, it appears this advisory for work from home will continue till the end of July. All those who have offices in Gurgaon should continue to work from home to the extent possible,” said Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority CEO V S Kundu. He is in charge of handling the COVID-19 crisis in the district. Most companies have already declared that working from home may be the ‘new normal’ for them. They have also highlighted how there’s been an increase in employee productivity since the commute time has drastically been cut down. Most people, it would take at least one-and-a-half to two hours in either direction to travel between office and home. However, he pointed out that many real estate projects, including those which fall under DLF, will be allowed to resume work provided they follow all social distancing norms. “Construction sites where labourers are already staying on the site or those where labourers stay within walking distance are allowed to resume work while adhering to social distancing norms,” said Kundu. So far, there have been 51 reported cases of the Coronavirus in Gurgaon. Of these, 35 have recovered. Nonetheless, it has been declared a red zone by the Harayan government since it’s one of the worst affected districts in the state alongside Nuh, Palwal and Faridabad. Kundu described the situation in Gurgaon as “fairly under control” and said there is no evidence of community transmission. Gurgaon has effectively been under lockdown since March 22 – two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of a pan-India shutdown to stem the spread of the disease. Gurgaon-based employees may have to ‘work from home’ until the end of July, according to Haryana officials

With the <keyword id="6366797" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Metro">Delhi Metro</keyword> set to resume full services from Saturday, DMRC chief Mangu Singh appealed to commuters to follow staggered timings for travelling to break the peak hour rush and ensure social distancing in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The <keyword id="6375348" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airport-Express-Line">Airport Express Line</keyword> will resume services on Saturday as part of the third stage of the graded reopening of the Delhi Metro. With this, all lines of the urban transporter will become operational throughout the day. Under stage one, Rapid Metro, Yellow, Blue, Pink, Red, Violet and Green lines were made operational with restricted service hours. The second stage began on Friday with Magenta and Grey lines also opening their doors to commuters and service hours being extended. With the third stage, the Delhi Metro will follow its regular timings, from 6 AM to 11 PM. In a video message posted on the Twitter handle of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday, Singh said, "Delhi Metro will resume full services from tomorrow as it was during normal days. We appeal to people to stagger the time of their journeys to break the peak hour rush so that more passengers can be carried by the system." "I also appeal to employers to allow their employees to come to work following a staggered time schedule so that they can travel in metro accordingly. This will ensure social distancing at work and also during travel in metro. Those who are working from home should continue to do so," the DMRC chief said. The frequency of trains during non-peak hours will be the same as peak hours so people can follow staggered timings for their journeys and still avail metro services, he added. The DMRC has appealed to people to use the rapid transport only if urgently needed. On Monday, the Delhi Metro had resumed services with curtailed operations on the Yellow Line and Rapid Metro.
