Gulfstream just revealed 2 all-new ultramodern private jets, including the longest-range plane in its history - take a look at the G400 and G800

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Private jets boomed during the start of the pandemic as customers sought <keyword id="11896628" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="travel" source="Orion">travel</keyword> perceived as safer.</li><li>Experts say the convenience of private jets and the reduction of airline connectivity also contributed to the surge.</li></ul><p><keyword id="12272456" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="private-aviation" source="Orion">Private aviation</keyword> has boomed since the start of the pandemic as deep-pocket travelers ditch commercial flying for the percieved safety and convenience of private travel.</p><p>With the onset of COVID-19 in 2020, many travelers turned to private <keyword id="12018329" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="aviation" source="Orion">aviation</keyword>, and industry leaders say the exodus from commercial travel stemmed from customers wanting to reduce potential COVID-19 exposure and avoid crowded airports.</p><p>"While the number of touchpoints for a typical airline trip can number 700, flying private can reduce that to just about 30," Alex Fecteau, Boeing Business Jets' director of marketing, <a href="https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2021/october/11/boeing-business-jets-marks-twenty-fifth-anniversary">said at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in October.</a> "There's a greatly perceived measure of increased safety flying private."</p><p>Meanwhile, Tradewind Aviation co-founder and vice president David Zipkin told Insider that customers want a more convenient and reliable travel experience during a turbulent year full of delays, cancelations, and unruly passengers. He also said airline connectivity has contributed to the switch, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/united-will-stop-flying-to-11-us-cities-indefinitely-list-2021-11">with many carriers scrubbing routes or decreasing frequencies</a>, prompting travelers to opt for <keyword id="12856406" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="private-flying" source="Orion">private flying</keyword>.</p><p>"We are seeing people leave commercial flying for the health and safety, but stay for the convenience," he said.</p><p>Because of the increased interest, mostly from new customers, business aviation take-off and landings in the US are up 40% year-over-year, <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/26/the-rich-are-getting-richer-and-theyre-fueling-a-private-jet-boom.html">reported CNBC</a>. According to analysts, the trend is attributed to the "wealth boom" that has occurred during the pandemic and widened the customer base.</p><p>"The addressable market right now for business jets has expanded. The pie has gotten bigger," Embraer chief commercial officer Stephen Friedrich said. "And the result is from continued wealth creation of over 12% when you take a look at the billionaires in the world, but also from what was traditionally Fortune 100 and large private companies." </p><p>The surge in business aviation has caused <keyword id="12324783" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="private-jet" source="Orion">private jet</keyword> inventory to drop below 3% for companies like <keyword id="12018327" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="gulfstream" source="Orion">Gulfstream</keyword>, Embraer, Cessna, and Bombardier, according to data from Jefferies Equity Research, reported CNBC.</p><p>"Things are really tight in used <keyword id="12324782" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="business-jet" source="Orion">business jet</keyword> <keyword id="11896919" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="aircraft" source="Orion">aircraft</keyword>, inventories the lowest we've seen in years, and yet prices are 20 to 30% higher," John Schmidt, global aerospace and defense industry lead at consultancy Accenture, told CNBC.</p><p>With the market booming, planemakers see an opportunity for engineering new private jets to meet the growing demand. Here's a look at some of the models and concepts that were introduced in 2021.</p><h2><strong>Dassault Falcon 10X</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Dassault Falcon 10X" height="1156" width="1541" msid="88622288" hostid="261"></div><p><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/dassault-falcon-10x-largest-ever-private-jet-features-design-2021-5#and-gulfstreams-g700-which-has-not-yet-achieved-certification-can-fly-7500-nautical-miles-7">French aircraft manufacturer Dassault unveiled its new flagship private jet in May</a>, the Falcon 10X. The plane costs $75 million, can fly over 7,500 nautical miles, and boasts the widest cabin of any competitor. Dassault's Falcon 10X is the largest and widest aircraft the company has ever built, and it <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-dassaults-falcon-10x-will-be-category-killer-coolest-features-2021-7">hopes the long-range plane will stack up to competitors like Gulfstream and Bombardier</a>.</p><h2><strong>Gulfstream G700</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="A Gulfstream G700 Private Jet — Gulfstream G700 Tour 2021" height="1666" width="2223" msid="88622291" hostid="261"></div><p>The G700, which <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gulfstream-debuts-75-million-g700-private-jet-tour-photos-2021-9">Insider's Tom Pallini saw firsthand when it stopped in Doha, Qatar</a> on its world demonstration tour, boasts a large cabin and impressive range. The new $75 million jet can fly up to 7,500 nautical miles and be configured with up to five living spaces with room for 19 passengers. The cabin is wide enough to house a bedroom with a full-size bed, which can be installed instead of an office, as well as an en suite bathroom with an onboard shower.</p><h2><strong>Gulfstream G400</strong></h2><div type="image" title="Gulfstream G400" height="1500" width="1999" msid="88622293" hostid="261"></div><p><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gulfstreams-new-private-jets-g400-and-g800-2021-10">Gulfstream unveiled two new next-generation twinjets in October, the first being the large-cabin G400</a>. The plane boasts the largest and quietest cabin in its class with two and a half living areas accommodating up to 12 passengers. The jet also offers the lowest cabin altitude in its class and 10 panoramic windows, which are the largest in the industry.</p><h2><strong>Gulfstream G800</strong></h2><div type="image" title="Gulfstream G800" height="1500" width="1999" msid="88622294" hostid="261"></div><p>The second jet Gulfstream revealed in October was the long-range G800. The aircraft can fly further faster than its predecessors with the help of its 13,496-pound thrust Rolls-Royce engines. The plane will have a range of 2,625 nautical miles and set several records, including the highest flight ceiling, highest cabin pressurization, and the tallest cabin height.</p><h2><strong>Bombardier Challenger 3500</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Mockup of Challenger 3500." height="734" width="979" msid="88622298" hostid="261"></div><p>Bombardier announced an upgrade to its Challenger 350 private jet in September, naming the new version the Challenger 3500. The mid-sized plane has not had a major update since its 2014 debut, but the manufacturer sees the necessity for a revamped aircraft as the demand for business travel continues to boom, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/exclusive-bombardier-set-launch-updated-version-challenger-350-private-jet-2021-09-13/">according to Reuters</a>. The plane will have a redesigned cabin and feature undisclosed elements from the company's Global 7500 jet. </p>

A private jet company is letting rich people celebrate New Year's Eve twice by flying them around the world in a Gulfstream G550 for $250,000

<ul class="summary-list"><li>A planespotter at LAX was surprised by a Boeing 737 with an unusual grey livery.</li><li>The jet turned out to be owned by a company linked to SpaceX.</li></ul><p><a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk">Elon Musk</a>'s SpaceX has seemingly bought a Boeing 737 that used to belong to Air China, records show.</p><p>A planespotter filmed the jet, registered as <a target="_blank" href="https://registry.faa.gov/AircraftInquiry/Search/NNumberResult?nNumberTxt=154TS">N154TS</a>, landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday — where its unique grey livery attracted attention.</p><p>The Federal Aviation Administration's registry shows the jet's owner is Falcon Aviation Holdings LLC. That company's address is the same as <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/spacex-elon-musk">SpaceX</a>'s headquarters in Hawthorne, California.</p><p>Falcon Aviation Holdings took ownership of the 737-800 back in July, according to data from <a target="_blank" href="https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-737-800-n154ts-hemisphere-aerospace/e25lde?refresh=1">Planespotters.net</a>. The Boeing jet first entered service in 2002, when it was delivered to Air China.</p><p>A decade later, Air China then converted the plane into a freighter. It's unclear whether it's still configured as such, or what SpaceX might be using it for.</p><p>Notably, the subsidiary which owns the jet is different from the other planes related to SpaceX.</p><p><a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/man-who-tracks-elon-musk-private-jet-permanently-banned-twitter-2022-12">Jack Sweeney</a>, the aviation enthusiast who has drawn Musk's ire by tracking the jets, noted there are five planes linked to SpaceX. Most of them are owned by Falcon Landing LLC.</p><p>All the other four are Gulfstream private jets, including the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-private-jet-gulfstream-g650er-lifestyle-wealth-photos-2022-4">G650 which is Musk's typical mode of air transport</a>.</p><p>So why his company has bought another plane, which can seat up to 10 times more people than a Gulfstream, remains to be seen.</p><p>SpaceX did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider, sent outside regular US working hours.</p>

Both can reach up to Mach 0.90, or about 690 mph at sea level.</p><p>Pop sensation <a target="_blank" href="https://www.insider.com/taylor-swift-spent-160-hours-using-private-jet-eras-tour-2023-8">Taylor Swift famously owns a Dassault 7X</a>, which has followed her along her colossal Eras Tour this year.</p><h2>Bombardier Global 7500: Mach 0.925 (710 mph)</h2><div type="image" title="Bombardier Global 7500 demonstration aircraft." height="721" width="1090" msid="104261069" hostid="261" sizebytes="17074"></div><p>The $75 million <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/flying-on-75-million-bombardier-global-7500-private-jet-vistajet-2022-11">Bombardier Global 7500 is currently the world's largest and longest-ranged purpose-built private jet,</a> trekking more than 8,880 miles nonstop.</p><p>It's one of the speediest, too. According to the Canadian manufacturer, the plane can <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-inside-the-75-million-bombardier-global-7500-private-jet-2022-12">fly at Mach 0.925</a>, which translates to about 710 mph.</p><p>A Global 7500 test plane, which was modified with the systems of its upcoming Global 8000 successor, even exceeded the speed of sound in May 2021.</p><p>It reached Mach 1.015 (about 779 mph), according to <a target="_blank" href="https://businessaircraft.bombardier.com/en/bombardiers-flight-test-vehicle-breaks-sound-barrier">Bombardier</a>.</p><h2>Gulfstream G500/G600/G650/G650ER/G800: Mach 0.925 (710 mph)</h2><div type="image" title="Gulfstream G650ER" height="1666" width="2500" msid="104261070" hostid="261" sizebytes="264458"></div><p>Like the competing Global 7500, most of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gulfstreams-new-private-jets-g400-and-g800-2021-10">Gulfstream's lineup of multi-million dollar private jets</a> — including the G500, G600, G650ER, and G800 variants — can reach Mach 0.925.</p><p>The G800 is slated to enter the market in 2024.</p><p>The G280 and G400 siblings have a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.85 and 0.90, respectively — making the latter also one of the world's fastest <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-private-jet-gulfstream-g650er-lifestyle-wealth-photos-2022-4">private jets.</a></p><h2>Dassault Falcon 10X: Mach 0.925 (710 mph)</h2><div type="image" title="Dassault Falcon 10X" height="1655" width="2500" msid="104261072" hostid="261" sizebytes="94834"></div><p>A competitor to both Bombardier and Gulfstream, the French-made <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-inside-dassault-falcon-10x-private-jet-2023-6">Dassault Falcon 10X</a> twin-engine plane also can reach speeds up to Mach 0.925.</p><p>But, it is still under development and is not expected to hit the market until 2025.</p><h2>Gulfstream G700: Mach 0.935 (717 mph)</h2><div type="image" title="7 Gulfstream G700" height="1333" width="2000" msid="104261073" hostid="261" sizebytes="81788"></div><p>Gulfstream recently increased the speed of its flagship G700 plane to 0.935 Mach from 0.925 Mach, making it the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.gulfstream.com/en/aircraft/gulfstream-g700/">company's</a> fastest business plane.</p><p>G700 launch customer Qatar Airways Executive — the airline's private charter arm dedicated to flying its most elite customers — unveiled its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-inside-qatar-executives-75-million-g700-private-jet-2023-7">first Q700 business jet</a> at the Paris Air Show in June.</p><h2>Cessna Citation X+: Mach 0.935 (717 mph)</h2><div type="image" title="The Cessna Citation X+." height="695" width="1131" msid="104261076" hostid="261" sizebytes="31580"></div><p>With the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gulfstreams-new-private-jets-g400-and-g800-2021-10">G700</a>'s recent speed increase, it now matches that of the Cessna Citation X+ — the American-built aircraft that previously held the title of the world's fastest private jet in service.</p><p>The Citation X+ is the upgraded version of the original Citation X, which entered the market in 1996. Flashback to 10 years ago, Tiger Woods was disgraced amid a cheating scandal, a costly divorce, a break from golfing, and, later, a DUI. The star of the sport seemed to have lost it all.</p><p>The shocking 2019 Masters win marked a historic return to form by one of the most successful athletes in history, who has earned a total of $1.4 billion since turning pro in 1996.</p><h2><strong>Here's how Tiger Woods, who's sitting on an estimated $800 million net worth, makes and spends his millions. </strong></h2><p>Tiger Woods leads his sport in career prize winnings with an estimated total of $122.5 million. The 2019 Tour Championship earned Woods one of his biggest paydays, with $4.6 million.</p><p>But Woods makes most of his money outside of competition. The bulk of his income is from endorsement deals. During the peak of Woods' golfing career, he made $100 million annually off the course. A multiyear deal with Bridgestone Golf to play exclusively with its golf balls is estimated to be worth $1 million to $2 million a year. For his clubs, Woods has signed with TaylorMade for an undisclosed amount, and his signature irons are now available for $2,000. His previous club deal with Nike was worth about $11 million per year. Woods also has endorsement deals for undisclosed amounts with Rolex and sports-card maker Upper Deck. The star also reportedly brings in $2 million a year from his deal with Monster Beverage.</p><p>His apparel, however, still flaunts the logo of his most loyal sponsor, Nike. Woods has been sponsored by Nike for the entirety of his professional career. They stuck with him through all the scandals when many others dropped him. In addition to lost endorsements, Woods' 2010 divorce settlement was reported to have cost him $100 million, about one-sixth of his fortune at the time. It's estimated that his Nike deal has been worth up to $20 million per year, likely varying based on performance. With so many eyes on Woods and his comeback, more lucrative deals may be heading his way.</p><p>But it's not all sponsorships and competition. Another major moneymaker is Woods' golf-course design work. Unlike traditional private aircraft, these tiny planes are meant to be flown by a single pilot, often the owner, and are known for their ease of use even when flying in complex airspace. </p><p>Traveling business people who would travel around in piston Bonanzas are now able to upgrade to the newest jets from the likes of Cessna, Embraer, and Cirrus. The light jet aircraft have dominated the skies since the 1970s with Cessna continuing production of new models nearly five decades later.</p><p>The smallest jet in the Citation line-up is the Mustang, a five-seater aircraft with a range of around 700 nautical miles and a cost price of $3.5 million, according to <a href="https://www.bjtonline.com/business-jet-news/cessna-citation-mustang-1">Business Jet Traveler</a>. Cessna sold just under 500 Mustangs before retiring it from its product line. </p><p>Newer aircraft like the <a href="https://media.txtav.com/196341-textron-aviation-unveils-the-citation-cj4-gen2-the-next-generation-in-the-industry-leading-cessna-citation-line-up">Citation CJ4 Gen2</a>, which was unveiled in February 2021, boasts all the benefits of a light jet with a range greater than some airliners. <a href="https://cessna.txtav.com/en/citation/cj4-gen2">Cessna</a> puts the range of the CJ4 Gen2 at just under 2,200 nautical miles, enough to fly from Phoenix to New York if the tailwinds are right, with a sticker price of just over $9 million and maximum capacity for 10. </p><h2>The Cirrus Vision Jet</h2><div type="image" title="Cirrus Vision Jet" height="3024" width="4032" msid="76494758" hostid="261"></div><p>Cirrus debuted the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-inside-2-million-cirrus-vision-sf50-jet-3k-verijet-2022-5#verijet-is-a-charter-company-born-in-late-2020-that-exclusively-operates-the-worlds-first-single-engine-personal-jet-the-cirrus-sf50-vision-jet-1">Vision Jet</a> in 2016 as the next step up from its popular piston product line with a price tag of around $3 million for a base model.</p><p>The manufacturer crafted the jet with a similar feel to its piston aircraft so that pilots can train on the latter and graduate to the former when ready with a two-week training course. Cirrus has since debuted the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcaB4Yfkt5Q">G2 version</a> and the <a href="https://cirrusaircraft.com/story/cirrus-aircraft-unveils-g2-vision-jet-with-up-to-20-enhanced-take-off-performance-and-inflight-wifi-connectivity/">G2+ with improved performance</a>.</p><p>The G2+ seats six passengers and one pilot in a maximum capacity configuration with optional add-ons including SiriusXM Satellite Radio and WiFi. Unlike its competitors, the Vision Jet only has one engine, lowering its operating and maintenance costs and allowing pilots to fly it without multi-engine training. </p><p>The next-generation jet only offers around 1,275 nautical miles of range, so transcontinental trips will incur multiple fuel stops. In the event of an engine failure where landing safely isn't an option, the jet comes with a standard-issue parachute, a staple of Cirrus aircraft. </p><h2>The Eclipse Jet</h2><div type="image" title="Eclipse Jet" height="1807" width="2410" msid="76494761" hostid="261"></div><p>Eclipse Aerospace builds the <a href="https://www.eclipse.aero/eclipse-jet/">Eclipse Jet 550</a>, which can seat six. Though with a similar look to the Cirrus Vision Jet, the Eclipse Jet is just a bit longer and features two engines, which adds to its operating costs and requires users to have multi-engine training.</p><p>The price for the newer Eclipse 550 model is around $3 million, according to <a href="https://www.bjtonline.com/manufacturer/eclipse">Business Jet Traveler</a>, and in return, the jet offers 1,125 nautical miles of range, according to the <a href="https://www.eclipse.aero/550-specs/">manufacturer</a>. The Eclipse Jet can also climb to a top altitude of 41,000 feet, so high that the curvature of the Earth is visible. </p><p>The Eclipse program has gone through <a href="https://simpleflying.com/eclipse-500-first-flight-anniversary/">several mergers and owner</a>s, including One Aviation, which filed bankruptcy in 2018, <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2020-08-31/one-aviation-changes-course-bankruptcy-case">per AIN Online.</a> But, the program was <a href="https://www.globalair.com/articles/aml-global-to-purchase-eclipse-aircraft-project-from-one-aviation?id=1847">purchased</a> by British entrepreneur Christopher in 2020, <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2021-05-27/eclipse-aerospace-rises-once-again">per the outlet</a>, though it is <a href="https://www.instagram.com/Eclipseaero/">unclear</a> whether the plane is still being built. </p><p>Eclipse Aerospace did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment. </p><h2>The Embraer Phenom</h2><div type="image" title="Embraer Phenom 300" height="1667" width="2223" msid="76494767" hostid="261"></div><p>Embraer has been expanding its line of private jets in recent years with the smallest among them being the Phenom series including the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. The smaller Phenom 100 can seat seven in a high-density configuration that includes using the lavatory and co-pilot seats as passenger seats.</p><p>Meanwhile, the larger Phenom 300 can seat 10 passengers, not including the pilot. The <a href="https://executive.embraer.com/global/en/phenom-300e">next-generation Phenom 300E</a>, which debuted in 2017, has enhanced the previous model with more thrust and speed. </p><p>Phenoms are high-performance aircraft with the Phenom 300E being able to reach speeds of Mach .80 — <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2020-04-07/pilot-report-embraers-new-phenom-300e">464 knots</a> (534 miles per hour), which Embraer <a href="https://executive.embraer.com/global/en/phenom-300e">says</a> makes it the fastest and longest-range single-pilot aircraft. </p><p>The Phenoms are <a href="https://www.insider.com/embraer-phenom-300e-private-jet-tour-review-2018-6">popular with charter operators</a> and are some of the largest private jets that can be flown by just one person. The jets feature modern, touchscreen cockpits as well as passenger-friendly features such as an enclosed lavatory. </p><h2>The HondaJet</h2><div type="image" title="HondaJet Elite" height="2250" width="3000" msid="76494770" hostid="261"></div><p>The HondaJet is one of the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/photos-see-inside-the-5-million-hondajet-that-costs-4k-an-hour-2022-2">more unique private planes on the market</a> that can be flown in a single-pilot configuration. Four variants of the product line are in existence: the original HondaJet, the HondaJet Elite, the HondaJet Elite S, and the HondaJet Elite II.</p><p>Since the debut of the Elite II in October at the 2022 National Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition, the company will no longer sell new versions of the three predecessors, a spokesperson told Insider. The jet costs about $7 million, <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2022-10-17/hondajet-elite-ii-adds-range-and-automation#:~:text=%E2%80%9COur%20goal%20is%20to%20optimize,speak%2C%E2%80%9D%20according%20to%20Kriegler.">AIN Online reported</a>, and will <a href="https://www.hondajet.com/en/Products/HondaJet-Elite-II#:~:text=With%20an%20expanded%20range%20of,more%20flexibility%20than%20ever%20before.">improve range and gross weight</a>.</p><p>Four passenger seats can fit in the cabin, along with an enclosed lavatory, and the co-pilot seat can be used as a passenger seat when in a single-pilot configuration. One of the unique aspects of the HondaJet is that its engines are mounted over the wing and separated from the fuselage, which the <a href="https://www.hondajet.com/news/article?articleType=pressrelease&amp;categoryType=922b6d12-370f-483f-b352-d963d84dc4ad#0">manufacturer</a> says improves efficiency. </p><p>The HondaJet Elite II has a range of about 1,550 nautical miles with four passengers on board, making transcontinental hops possible with just one stop. A cool feature for passengers is a "<a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/honda-jet-elite-coolest-features-photos-2019-3#9-a-speaker-less-stereo-the-hondajet-does-not-use-traditional-speakers-instead-its-cabin-is-surrounded-by-a-couple-dozen-transducers-that-vibrate-in-the-planes-leather-lined-interior-walls-so-it-feels-as-if-the-music-is-enveloping-you-17">speaker-less stereo</a>," where transducers vibrate the cabin walls for an immersive listening experience. </p><h2>The Pilatus PC-24</h2><div type="image" title="Pilatus PC-24 2" height="3580" width="4773" msid="76494773" hostid="261"></div><p>The <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/pilatus-pc-24-jet-review-pictures-2018-6">Pilatus PC-24</a> capitalizes on the success of the highly versatile PC-12 turboprop, another single-pilot aircraft, but adds on the speed of a jet aircraft. </p><p>The jet has a range of 2,000 nautical miles, according to its <a href="https://www.pilatus-aircraft.com/en/fly/pc-24">manufacturer</a>, with <a href="https://www.pilatus-aircraft.com/en/fly/pc-24">seating</a> for 11 passengers in its most dense configuration, plus one pilot. It can also reach an altitude of 45,000 feet, where traditional business jets from Gulfstream, Dassault, and Bombardier aircraft can be found roaming. </p><p>One of the PC-24's most popular features is its short take-off and land capabilities and its ability to access airports that normal jet aircraft cannot, giving it the moniker of "super versatile jet" or SVJ.</p><p>The Australian Royal Flying Doctor Service uses the jet to reach remote destinations in the outback with the PC-24 offering the unique capability of landing on unpaved runways.</p><h2>The Raytheon Beechcraft Premier 1</h2><div type="image" title="Raytheon Beechcraft Premier" height="1667" width="2223" msid="76494776" hostid="261"></div><p>Initially produced in the early 2000s, the Premier is the only true single-pilot jet to come from Beechcraft, which is also behind some of the most popular business jets such as the Hawker 800 and Beechjet. With room for six club chairs in the cabin and the co-pilot seat up front, the Premier can carry seven passengers when in a single-pilot configuration. </p><p>Though no longer being manufactured, the Premier was priced just under $6 million and offered the speed that other single-pilot jets at the time couldn't, according to the <a href="https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2019/may/pilot/turbine-quick-look-raytheon">Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association</a>. It was also built using composites at a time when few aircraft were. </p><p>The Premier had a range of around 1,100 nautical miles, according to the <a href="https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2019/may/pilot/turbine-quick-look-raytheon">Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association</a>, which also stated its top speed to be around 450 knots, roughly equivalent to 517 miles per hour. That meant trips from New York to Florida could be done nonstop but transcontinental hops might need two fuel stops. </p><h2>The SyberJet SJ30i</h2><div type="image" title="SyberJet SJ30" height="1606" width="2141" msid="76494779" hostid="261"></div><p>Although currently still under production, the SyberJet SJ30i will be the "world's fastest and longest range" light jet, according to the <a href="https://www.syberjet.com/sj30">manufacturer</a>.</p><p>With a price tag of $7.3 million, <a href="https://www.bjtonline.com/aircraft/syberjet-sj30">per the Business Jet Traveler</a>, the aircraft promises a range of 2,500 nautical miles, enough to fly from Los Angeles to New York, at the speed of 476 knots, which would make it faster than the Phenom 300E. The SyberJet's <a href="https://www.syberjet.com/newsdeck/syberjet-successfully-completes-first-flight-of-the-sj30i-series-aircraft">first flight</a> was in October 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.</p><p>The jet can seat four passengers in the main cabin and one in the cockpit while also featuring a lavatory seat. Earlier versions of the jet failed to achieve commercial success but the latest version is hoping to change that with certification planned for late 2022, <a href="https://aviationweek.com/business-aviation/aircraft-propulsion/manufacturers-unveil-new-improved-business-aircraft">according to Aviation Week</a>.</p>
