New Delhi, <keyword id="19288172" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chemical-Firm-SRF" source="Orion">Chemical firm SRF</keyword> Ltd on Friday reported a 37 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 300.78 crore for the September quarter on lower income and announced a total capex of Rs 510 crore for setting up of facilities to produce agrochemical intermediate and packaging film. Its net profit stood at Rs 480.99 crore in the year-ago period. Total income fell to Rs 3,206.48 crore during the July-September period of the 2023-24 financial year from Rs 3,760.52 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing. <keyword id="151144" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="SRF" source="Orion">SRF</keyword> Chairman and Managing Director Ashish Bharat Ram said, "During the (second) quarter, we felt the brunt of the destocking and inventory rationalisation phenomenon in our chemicals business. Having said that, we are now beginning to see some positive traction that should bode well for a better second half of FY24. The overcapacity in our packaging films business will continue for some more time." The board has approved projects for setting up a manufacturing facility for capacitor-grade BOPP Film in Indore at a projected cost of Rs 275 crore. It also approved a project for setting up a new facility to produce agrochemical intermediate in Dahej, Gujarat at a cost of Rs 235 crore. Updating on a capital expenditure plan for setting up an integrated facility for the development of PTFE at an estimated cost of Rs 424 crore, SRF informed that the project has been commissioned and capitalised at an aggregate cost of Rs 489 crore. "The cost over-run is due to an increase in civil and preoperative expenses and delays caused in obtaining support from the technology partner due to COVID imposed restrictions," it added. With an annual turnover of Rs 14,592 crore, SRF Ltd is a chemical-based multi-business entity engaged in the manufacturing of industrial and specialty intermediates. Established in 1970, the company's diversified business portfolio covers fluorochemicals, speciality chemicals, packaging films, technical textiles, and coated and laminated fabrics.

The price band for the issue is set at ₹61-65 a share. The grey market premium (GMP) for the company’s shares are at ₹6 per share. GMP is the premium at which IPO shares are traded in an unofficial market before they are listed on the stock exchanges. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth ₹370 crore and an offer for sale of up to ₹370 crore. The net proceeds from the fresh issue will be utilised towards repaying debts and for general corporate purposes. The company is in the business of providing long-term operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services for wind farm projects, specifically the provision of O&amp;M services for wind turbine generators (WTGs) and the common infrastructure facilities on the wind farm. Inox Green Energy Services is a subsidiary of Inox Wind, which is listed on exchanges. As of June 30, 2022, its O&amp;M services portfolio consisted of an aggregate 2,792 megawatts of wind farm capacity and 1,396 WTGs. The company provides O&amp;M services to all customers who purchase WTGs from its parent company during the relevant warranty period as part of a one-stop shop/turnkey solution. It is currently entirely dependent on its parent Inox Wind for business. In its red herring prospectus (RHP) filed with the The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Inox Green Energy Services said that if the parent company were to choose another service provider for operation and maintenance services of their wind turbine generators, its business, financial condition and prospects may be adversely affected. “We also intend to continue looking for opportunities to strategically acquire the O&amp;M portfolios of other wind OEMs, especially smaller-scale wind OEMs or third-party and independent service providers, which we believe are currently unable to compete effectively, to further grow our portfolio base,” the company said. Besides, there are outstanding legal proceedings involving the company, its subsidiaries, directors, promoter and group companies. “These proceedings are pending at different levels of adjudication before various courts, tribunals and appellate tribunals. Such proceedings could divert management time and attention and consume financial resources in their defence,” said the company in its RHP. Post-listing, the market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹3,894 crore, according to BSE data. The shares of RateGain were trading at ₹373.85, lower by 12% at 10.08 a.m., on December 17. The grey market had indicated a decent listing for RateGain a day prior to the listing with a ₹30 premium per share. The IPO was open between December 7 and December 9 ⁠and was oversubscribed 17.41 times by investors. The company intended to raise ₹1,335 crore through this public issue. The company is one of the leading distribution technology companies globally, which runs a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that solely focuses on the travel and hospitality segment. Founded in 2004 by Bhanu Chopra, RateGain offers travel and hospitality software solutions. Its software covers an entire set of data points including pricing, rating, ranking, availability, room description, cancellation policy, discounting and packages, among other things. The company has over 1,434 customers — across the hotel, hospitality and online travel agency (OTA) segment — spread across 110 countries. Its clientele includes Lemon Tree, InterContinental Hotels Group, Kessler Collection, GroupOn and Sabre GLBL. RateGain Travel Technologies makes a disappointing listing at 10% discount

New Delhi, Jun 24 () India may impose anti-circumvention duty on a chemical, used in electrical, electronic, mechanical and chemical from Korea and China with a view to guard domestic players from cheap imports from these countries. Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd, on behalf of the domestic industry, has filed the application before the directorate to investigate the matter and impose the duty. The commerce ministry's investigation arm DGTR (Directorate General of Trade Remedies) has initiated a probe into an alleged circumvention of anti-dumping duty imposed on Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) by the countries. It has alleged that anti-dumping duties imposed on imports of Polytetrafluoroethylene from Russia and China are being circumvented. "On the basis of the duly substantiated application by the applicant...the authority hereby initiates an anti-circumvention investigation," DGTR has said in a notification. The period of investigation is April 2019-December 2019 (9 months) and the injury period will cover the data from 2016 to 2019 also. "The countries involved in the circumvention are Republic of Korea and China," it added. In international trade parlance, dumping happens when a country or a firm exports an item at a price lower than the price in its domestic market. Dumping impacts price of that product in the importing country, hitting margins and profits of manufacturing firms. The duty is aimed at ensuring fair trading practices and creating a level-playing field for domestic producers vis-a-vis foreign producers and exporters. RR HRS

India may impose anti-circumvention duty on a chemical from China, Korea

New Delhi, Mar 23 () The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday said it has deferred index rebalancing until further notice. This also includes quarterly rebalancing of shares outstanding and investible weight factors, the exchange said in a press release. NSE said it will continue to monitor market conditions and announce the revised date of implementation of index rebalancing changes by providing two-weeks notice. The decision has been taken considering the recent extreme market volatility, index-based market wide circuit breaker events, increased margin requirement, travel restrictions imposed in Mumbai and other Indian cities, it said. The index rebalancing was earlier scheduled to come into effect from March 27, 2020. The replacements in various equity indices is a part of periodic review. "However, the changes required to ensure ETFs (exchange traded funds) /Index Funds' compliance with Sebi Portfolio Concentration Norms related to index constituent impact cost criteria, maximum weight of top stock and top 3 stocks within the index will be applied effective March 27, 2020 (close of March 26, 2020)," it added. In order to comply with index constituent impact cost criteria, NSE has replaced Gayatri Projects Ltd with Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd in NIFTY 500, NIFTY Smallcap 250 and NIFTY MidSmallcap 400. NSE defers index rebalancing until further notice

New Delhi, Feb 25 () Flurochemicals maker Navin Fluorine International on Tuesday said it has entered into a USD 410 million (Rs 2,900 crore) contract with a global firm for supply of high performance product. The company will execute the order through its owned subsidiary Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Ltd (NFASL). The contract is for seven years. Commenting on the development, Navin Fluorine Managing Director Radhesh Welling said: "This agreement, which represents Navin Fluorine's largest contract to date, continues to establish us as a leader in production and delivery of high performance product (HPP) within fluorination space." This is beginning of the company's entry into higher value HPP segment and it should continue to add more products in this segment, he said in a statement. The company also informed that its subsidiary firm that will execute the order will invest USD 51.5 million (Rs 365.50 crore) for setting up of a manufacturing unit at Dahej, Gujarat. It will invest another USD 10 million (Rs 71 crore) for setting up a captive power plant. The investment will be funded through of internal accruals and debt. The supplies will commence from the fourth quarter of 2021-22 fiscal, the company added. The <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> closed higher ahead of the crucial Greece-EU referendum over the weekend even as traders remained cautious on fears of excessive stock volatility if debt-ridden Greece were to exit the European Union. HDFC, Lupin, Hero Motors were top gainers on the 30-share Index, which ended 147 points higher at 28,092. 
 The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword>, meanwhile, added 0.5 percent to end the day at 8,485 points. IndusInd Bank was the top gainer on the Index where BHEL, Asian Paints and HDFC Bank shone brightly in trade. 
 
Meanwhile, commodity stocks Coal India, Vedanta and Cairn continued to languish at the bottom of the heap. 
 
Overall, the Advance-Decline Ratio of the market was in the ratio of 1,522:1,430, showing bulls barely winning the day. Modest gains were seen on CNX Finance Index and CNX FMCG Index. PSU banks were thick in action as traders bought into beaten down valuations in stocks such as Union Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce. 
 
The Bajaj twins in the lending space -- Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance -- hit fresh highs in trade today. Emami, Federal Bank and BPCL were on the list of 52-week highs on the National Stock Exchange. 
 
Gujarat Fluorochem surged more than 7 percent in late trade on very heavy volumes.
