These are the latest government job openings at UPSC, GAIL, HAL and other departments

<ul><li>UPSC has put out an official notification to recruit Intelligence officers and data processing assistants in the <keyword id="69522" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="ministry-of-home-affairs">Ministry of Home Affairs</keyword>. </li><li>The government plans to hire for 29 vacant positions across the <keyword id="91016" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Crime-Records-Bureau">National Crime Records Bureau</keyword> and the Intelligence Bureau. </li><li>The selected candidates will be a part of cyber security, forensics and criminal applications team. </li></ul>The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) put out a notification to recruit Intelligence officers and data processing assistants at the Ministry of Home Affairs. With this, the government plans to hire for 29 vacant positions across departments. This includes vacancies in the Women Safety Department of the National Crime Records Bureau and the Intelligence Bureau. Interested professionals can visit the official website of <a href="https://upsconline.nic.in/ora/VacancyNoticePub.php">UPSC</a> and the last date for application is January 16, 2020. The candidates shall be posted across locations in India, depending on the requirement. The selected candidates will be a part of cyber security, forensics and criminal applications team. Data Processing Assistant — Two vacancies in the women's safety department The candidates selected for this role will be responsible for procurement, maintenance and updating software of criminal applications. These engineers will be a part of the administration team which conducts training and provides security assistance of Data Centre and Networks. Those hired will have to undergo a two year probation period The applicants must be aged between 21-30 years. However, upper age limit may be relaxed for those appointed as a government servant before. The minimum educational qualification of a candidate applying for the post of data processing assistant is a master’s degree in computer applications, IT or B.Tech in <keyword id="6390100" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="computer-science">Computer Science</keyword> and Engineering. Deputy Central Intelligence Officer — 27 vacancies in the Intelligence Bureau of the ministry The candidates for intelligence team will have to supervise operations across the ministry’s communication network such as audio, video and CCTVs. This also includes maintenance of forensics equipment. Other tasks are research and development in the field of electronics and telecommunications. The selected candidates will have to serve a probation period of one year. The intelligence officer will require a postgraduate degree in science, computer applications or information technology. The applicant can also be an engineering graduate in the field of electronics, telecommunications, computer science and software, or IT. The candidate’s age must not exceed 35 years for general category and 40 years in case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. UPSC recruitment 2020: Nearly 30 government jobs for engineering and IT graduates have opened up in the Ministry of Home Affairs

Higher edtech platform upGrad on Tuesday said it has acquired <keyword id="14616025" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="exampur" source="Orion">Exampur</keyword> which is a test-prep provider for government jobs, for an undisclosed sum. Noida-based learning platform Exampur aims to reach Rs 70 crore (nearly $7.5 million) in revenue this fiscal. Co-founded in 2018 by <keyword id="201980" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="vivek-kumar" source="Orion">Vivek Kumar</keyword> and <keyword id="14616760" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="vardan-gandhi" source="Orion">Vardan Gandhi</keyword>, the platform has a user base of over 10 million students. "We've created an integrated learning portfolio for our learners and within that matrix, we see test-prep as a high potential growth driver," said Gaurav Kumar, President, <keyword id="34451" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="corporate-development" source="Orion">Corporate Development</keyword>, upGrad. Cumulatively, Exampur has a growing subscriber base of over 12 million with an average viewership of 2.5 million students. Ninety per cent of paid users of Exampur are from tier 2, 3 and 4 markets. upGrad acquires Noida-based test prep provider Exampur

<ul><li>The Indian government is hiring private sector experts for administrative posts. </li><li>The plan is to hire 400 domain experts from the corporate industry. </li><li>Niti Ayog will hire 54 private sector employees for flexi-pool posts.</li></ul>The Indian government is luring experts from the private sector to boost efficiency in the administration process — and fill <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/india/plan-to-import-talent-a-third-of-deputy-secys-from-outside-govt-starts-work-to-induct-400-directors-5776102/">400 jobs</a>. Government posts like Joint Secretary(JS), lower Deputy Secretary(DS) and Director level positions in the Central government, might be soon belong to private sector professionals, if the proposal goes through, The Indian Express reported. Traditionally, candidates who pass out of the three all-India services — IAS, IPS and IFS — were considered for such job roles. The others in running were also from 37 participating services like — railways, income tax, telecom and custom services amongst others. There are a total of 650 posts at the Director level and this move is expected to transition nearly 60% of these jobs— including 400 vacant positions to domain experts, Financial Express reported citing officials from the Department of Personnel &amp; Training. The department is mulling a process to evaluate private sector employees to fill the senior talent pool, it added. The government has been facing talent shortage in top roles. Niti Ayog, a government think tank is also considering <a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/india-news/lateral-entry-2-0-centre-mulls-importing-400-experts-from-private-sector-at-deputy-secretary-and-director-level-says-report/1604876/">hiring 54 private sector employees for “flexi-pool posts”</a> — which was earlier reserved for consultants. Recently, the Indian government inducted nine private sector employees as joint secretaries in various departments via Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). Until then, the joint secretaries were recruited from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre officers.
