New Delhi, Prime Minister <keyword id="19962578" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shri-narendra-modi" source="keywords">Shri Narendra Modi</keyword> will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation around 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 41,000 crore on Monday. The event will be held at 12:30 p.m. via video conferencing. In a post on X, <keyword id="19899320" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pm-modi" source="keywords">PM Modi</keyword> said, "Today is a historic day for our Railways! At 12:30 PM, 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 41,000 crores will be dedicated to the nation. "In order to enhance the travel experience, 553 stations will be redeveloped under the <keyword id="20270535" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="amrit-bharat-station-scheme" source="keywords">Amrit Bharat Station Scheme</keyword>. The foundation stones for these stations would be laid. Overbridges and underpasses across India will also be inaugurated. "These works will further 'Ease of Living' for the people." In a major step to provide world class amenities at railway stations, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. These stations, spread across 27 states and Union Territories, will be redeveloped at a cost of over Rs 19,000 crore. These stations will act as 'City Centres' integrating both sides of the city. They will have modern passenger amenities like roof plaza, beautiful landscaping, inter modal connectivity, improved modern facade, kids play area, kiosks, food courts, etc. They will be redeveloped as environment friendly and also <keyword id="20109552" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="divyang" source="keywords">Divyang</keyword> friendly. The design of these station buildings will be inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture. Further, the Prime Minister will inaugurate <keyword id="20727159" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gomti-nagar" source="keywords">Gomti Nagar</keyword> station in Uttar Pradesh which has been redeveloped at a total cost of around Rs 385 crore. To cater to the increased future passenger footfall, this station has segregated arrival and departure facilities. It integrates both sides of the city. This centrally air-conditioned station has modern passenger amenities like Air Concourse, congestion free circulation, food courts and ample parking space in upper and lower basement. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation 1500 Road Over Bridges and Underpasses. These Road Over Bridges and Underpasses spread across 24 states and Union Territories, the total cost of these projects is around Rs 21,520 crore. These projects will reduce congestion, enhance safety and connectivity, improve capacity, and efficiency of rail travel.

"The company has commenced the Commercial Operations of a Multiplex Cinema Theatre taken on Leave &amp; License basis, located at INOX Leisure Limited, 3rd Floor, Phoenix Palassio Mall, Plot No 1, Sector No 7, Gomti Nagar Extension, Amar Shaheed Path, Lucknow - 226010 with effect from yesterday, i.e. Saturday, 14th March, 2020," a BSE filing said. Alarmingly, this is the second time since last August that Vice Chancellor Puri has been infected by the virus, indicating that re-infection is also happening. He was administered the second dose of vaccine on March 25. As India doubles down on vaccination, such reports are worrisome as they may desist people from going for the jab. Also, after taking the second dose, be extra cautious for at least two weeks and follow all precautionary measures," he advised. WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said during a <keyword id="6355833" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="united-nations">United Nations</keyword> news briefing on Tuesday that at this stage, "we would not like to see <keyword id="11054922" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="vaccination-passports">vaccination passports</keyword> as a requirement for entry or exit because we are not sure at this stage that the vaccine prevents transmissions". Vaccine passports are the digital proof that a person is fully vaccinated before starting any travel. A few options for vaccine passports exist for Americans and other countries and regions are also working on such digital travel documents. According to Neha Gupta, infectious diseases specialist at Medanta-The Medicity Gurgaon, vaccination doesn't guarantee 100 per cent immunity against novel coronavirus. "However, the vaccine decreases the severity of the disease. It's important to continue Covid-appropriate precautions like wearing fitted mask, hand hygiene and social distancing," she told.
