<ul class="summary-list"><li>A video showed a TikToker calling a man a "weirdo" for appearing to glance at her in the gym.</li><li>The video was widely criticized, including by fitness influencer Joey Swoll.</li></ul><p>A TikToker apologized after she received an onslaught of backlash for a video calling a man a "weirdo" while she filmed him interacting with her in the gym.</p><p>The influencer, Jessica Fernandez, has over 625,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts lifestyle and beauty clips, and 55,000 on Twitch, where she streams gaming content. Many of her videos are lighthearted, and she has a popular series on TikTok where she eats pomegranates.</p><p>The video that sparked criticism isn't visible on her channel anymore, but it was <a href="https://twitter.com/TheJoeySwoll/status/1616611613666340864" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reposted and critiqued</a> by Joey Swoll, the self-anointed "CEO of GYM POSITIVITY" who has over 6 million TikTok followers.</p><p>In the clip, Fernandez can be seen working out at a gym and calling attention to a man behind her, who appeared to be glancing in her direction.</p><p>She muttered expletives at him under her breath, and said, "I hate this, I hate when there's weirdos."</p><p>"Feral, feral, feral, like fucking feral," she said out loud. At one point, the man walked over to her and appeared to ask if she needed help putting a weight plate onto the pole, which she declined. She then wrote a series of captions on the screen, including "this is why I don't want kids" and "what if I just ripped his pp out of its socket so he could never reproduce again."</p><p>In his response video, Swoll said it's very common for experienced lifters to offer assistance to other people in the gym and said it has "nothing to do with sex or gender."</p><p>He also said there's "a big difference between staring at somebody, and simply looking or glancing at them." </p><p>Swoll's video gained traction on Twitter, garnering over 14 million views and 320,000 likes, and brought a crowd of people similarly critiquing Fernandez's actions in the comments section. His video also gained over 4 million views <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@thejoeyswoll/video/7190847432073284907?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on TikTok</a>, where it was captioned, "Women are harassed in gyms and it needs to stop, but you are not one of them."</p><p>Comments sections under her recent TikToks are full of comments reading "DO BETTER" and saying Swoll exposed her. She has turned the comments off on her last three clips.</p><p>After the mass backlash, Fernandez <a href="http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1ss7s26" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted an apology</a> statement on Twitter Tuesday saying she blew the interaction with the man at the gym "out of proportion" and was feeling very guilty.</p><p>"I think it's important to call people out on their mistakes and in the words of Joey help them 'Do better,'" she wrote, referencing Swoll. "This is exactly what I plan to do with not just my content but my life moving forward."</p><p>Fernandez, who did not respond to Insider's request for comment, ended the letter by saying she would be taking a break from social media until she was in the right condition to keep making content.</p>

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Ron DeSantis announced his presidential campaign Wednesday via a glitchy Twitter Spaces.</li><li>As newspapers reported on it, Elon Musk decided to claim it was "the top story on Earth."</li></ul><p>Elon Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1661553435261677570" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> that <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/disciplined-desantis-lost-control-twitter-spaces-presidential-run-2023-5">Ron DeSantis' glitchy presidential announcement</a> on Twitter Spaces was "the top story on Earth" on Wednesday.</p><p>But much of the world's news was dominated by coverage of <a href="https://www.insider.com/tina-turner-legendary-singer-dead-obituary-5-2023">Tina Turner's death</a>.</p><p>Looking at Thursday's <a href="https://www.frontpages.com/usa-newspapers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">print newspaper</a> front pages, The New York Times only has DeSantis in a side column, the Los Angeles Times doesn't mention him, and nor does the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, or USA Today.</p><p>Outside of Florida and political websites, the only claim it has to being the most popular story is with New York Post readers – where it's a joint-front page with Turner. </p><p>With <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/desantis-campaign-launch-on-twitter-spaces-off-to-gltichy-start-2023-5">600,000 Twitter Space listeners before it crashed</a>, there's certainly a big audience interested in DeSantis' announcement. But when it happens on the same day as the death of a world-famous singer, there's little claim that it can be the biggest story on Earth.</p><p><a href="https://www.frontpages.com/world-newspapers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Europe's</a> front pages are mostly focused on its own leaders or the war in Ukraine, as well as Turner.</p><p>In the UK, DeSantis is only mentioned in one of Thursday's <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-65704033" target="_blank" rel="noopener">11 front pages</a>. Even then, the miniature headline doesn't mention Twitter: "Trump rails against 'disloyal' DeSantis."</p><p>Of course, Musk has often <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1261336450332688386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">criticized</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1626357251094249472?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1605280103403081739?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mainstream</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1594449361651568640" target="_blank" rel="noopener">media</a>, so maybe he's not referring to the newspapers. </p><p>Yet on Google Trends, there's surprisingly no sign of DeSantis among American searchers. <a href="https://trends.google.com/trends/trendingsearches/daily?geo=US&amp;hl=en-US" target="_blank" rel="noopener">US Google</a> was dominated by "Tina Turner" with 5 million searches, followed by a rise in Nvidia shares, a PlayStation showcase, and Krispy Kreme donuts. </p><p>In other words, either it wasn't even the biggest story in the US, or it just happened to miss out on being in the top 20 Google searches.</p><p>It's only on the <a href="https://trends.google.com/trends/trendingsearches/daily?geo=GB&amp;hl=en-US" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UK's Google Trends</a> that DeSantis makes the list — the following day. So far, he's just behind the singer Sam Smith, both with about 10,000 searches.</p><p>On Wednesday — the day Musk claimed it was the biggest story in the whole world — Turner was well ahead at top spot.</p><p>Insider contacted Twitter for comment. The company responded with an automated message that didn't address the inquiry.</p>

New Delhi, Nov 25 () Glance - a part of Softbank-backed InMobi - on Monday said it has acquired short-video platform Roposo for an undisclosed amount, a move that will provide it access to Roposo's network of professional, vernacular content creators and over 42 million users. 
<p>The acquisition of the platform will enable Glance to tap into Roposo's regional influencers and create professional vernacular, video content in line with Glance's editorial guidelines for the lock screen, a statement said. 
</p><p>"The acquisition also gives Glance ownership of Roposo's video technology, platform and brand. As a result of this acquisition, Glance will get access to Roposo's extensive network of ...more than 42 million users," it added.
</p><p>As part of the deal, about 60 people from Roposo will join Glance.

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>So, it looks like Greece got nothing. </p><p>On Thursday, Greece <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/greece-submits-bailout-plan-to-creditors-2015-7">submitted</a> its latest bailout proposal to its European creditors, and it looks an awful lot like what they rejected back on June 26 when Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras called a surprise referendum on the issue. </p><p>This decision led to last Sunday's referendum that saw Greece overwhelmingly vote "No," meaning that the people of Greece wanted a new plan and a new path for Greece. </p><p>But now it looks like that was all for nothing. </p><p>Greece's proposed <a href="http://www.docdroid.net/164ll/prior-action-final-version.doc.html">plan still seeks</a> an increase in corporate taxes - to 28% from 26% - which was previously offered. This plan also has Greece running a planned budget surplus of 1% in 2015, 2% in 2016, 3% in 2017, and 3.5% in 2018. <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Greece n is also seeking 53.5 billion euros, or about $59 billion, in additional bailout funding, </span><a href="http://bigstory.ap.org/article/b5ed63b28f2243afa2ac21f21410633f/greece-racing-finalize-reforms-and-remain-euro">according to the AP</a><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">. </span></p><p>Earlier this week, Business Insider's Lianna Brinded <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/greece-referendum-totally-pointless-and-puts-country-in-worse-position-2015-7">outlined why</a> after just 2 days, Greece's referendum was looking doomed, or at least a bit misguided. The big factor weighing on Greece right now is the lack of any banking activity at all. </p><p>Capital controls and bank closures, which have now been in place for nearly 2 weeks, have weighed severely on the Greek economy, which has <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/greek-life-during-euro-crisis-2015-7">seen activity all but seize up</a> since the June 26 announcement that Greece would hold a referendum. </p><p>And so now, 4 days after the vote and 13 days after the referendum was first announced, it doesn't look like Greece hasn't really gained anything. In fact, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/greek-life-during-euro-crisis-2015-7">things have probably gotten</a> worse. </p><p>And while giving the European creditors what they previously wanted might seem like a sure-fire deal, Reuters editor Hugo Dixon, who has written a book <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Out-Question-Hugo-Dixon/dp/1496146670/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1436482124&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=hugo+dixon">about the future of the EU</a>, gave a <a href="https://twitter.com/Hugodixon">great outline on Twitter</a> of some of the problems Greece is now looking at. </p><p>Dixon said that a flaw in Greece's proposal is that while it may be offering materially the same concessions as the proposal from 2 weeks ago, the Greek economy has now deteriorated severely. And because of this, any concessions Greece is offering may need to be even more severe because they are starting from a more disadvantaged position. </p><p>As Dixon said on Twitter, Tsipras, "is prostrating himself before the creditors with this offer &amp; asking for mercy."</p><p>So basically, Tsipras better hope the European creditors don't notice how bad things have gotten in Greece over the last few weeks, because while this offer <em>seems</em> like what was previously on the table, it's actually <em>worse</em>. </p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">On Saturday, the Eurogroup, a collection of 19 euro zone finance ministers, is expected to meet to discuss the plan, while a meeting of all 28 European Union nations is scheduled for Sunday. </span></p><p>Before this proposals are to be discussed, Greek parliament must sign off on them.
