India reached the ODI Rankings summit after winning the first ODI against Australia at Mohali. They will now continue to reign supreme across all formats as the number one team, having already occupied the top spot in Tests and T20Is. India is placed at the top spot with 117 rating points, while Pakistan sit at second with 115 rating points. Australia, on the other hand, slipped further and is third with 110 points. India look to continue winning juggernaut in World Cup clash against Bangladesh

A total of eight matches will be played in the series over a month. India will kick off the series with a two-match Test series, the first of which will be played from July 12 to 16 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Dominica. The second Test match will be played from June 20 to June 24 at the Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad. India are also scheduled to play five T20Is and the squad for the same will be announced later. After the Test series, there will be a two-day gap and the third day, India will square off with West Indies in a three-match ODI series. The ODI series will be important as it would help the Indian think tank assess where they stand in white-ball cricket ahead of the ODI World Cup, which will be held in India later this year. The first ODI will be played on July 27 at the Kensington Oval, Barbados while the second will be played at the same venue on July 29. The third and final game of the series will be played on August 1 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad. After the ODI series, the two teams will lock horns for a five-match T20I series. The first match of that series will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad, on August 3. The second T20I will be played at the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana on August 6 while the will be hosted at the same stadium on August 8. The fourth and the fifth T20I fixtures will be played at the Broward County Stadium, Florida on August 12 and 13. The 38-year-old made his international debut in 2010 in an ODI against Australia in Visakhapatnam and his last India game was also a 50-over match, against Bangladesh in 2022. "As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind!," <keyword id="19978622" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dhawan" source="keywords">Dhawan</keyword> said in a post on 'X'. "It's important to turn the page to move forward in life and that's why I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. As I bid goodbye to my cricket journey, I have peace in my heart that I played for so long," he said. Dhawan appeared in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20Is for India but had fallen out of favour in the last couple of years due to patchy form and emergence of younger opening talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. His best came in the 50-over format in which he amassed 6793 runs at an average of 44.11, including 17 hundreds and 39 fifties. He averaged 40.61 for his 2315 Test runs, which featured seven centuries. "I am standing at a point in my life where when I look back, I see only memories, and when I look ahead, I see a new world. I had just one goal in life, to play for India, and I made it happen," he said. "I am very thankful to DDCA (Delhi and Districts Cricket Association), the <keyword id="19901245" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BCCI" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="BCCI" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="BCCI">BCCI</keyword> and my fans. At his peak, the Delhi swashbuckler was a sight to behold with his range of strokes and ability to hit powerfully. He is a bonafide IPL legend, appearing in 222 matches, that yielded 6769 runs, including two hundreds and 51 half centuries. His 768 fours in the tournament are the highest by any batter and he also holds the distinction of being the first to hit consecutive hundreds in the event. He was a part of the title-winning Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the 2016 season. He has also played for Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab. Of these, he captained Delhi and Punjab at various stages of his career. He had appeared for Punjab this season but played in only five matches owing to fitness issues. Match 9, November 12: India beat The Netherlands by 160 runs in Bengaluru India made 410/4, as KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer made centuries, with captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli making fifties each. In reply, the Netherlands were bowled out for 250 in 47.5 overs, with Siraj, Bumrah, Kuldeep and Jadeja taking two wickets each, with Virat and Rohit having a scalp too. Semi-final, November 15: India beat New Zealand by 70 runs in Mumbai Kohli made a stunning 117, also his 50th century in ODIs, and went past the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing tally of 49 ODI centuries, which ironically happened in front of the legend at his home ground. Driven by UPI-based transactions, about 81 per cent of consumers intend to shop online during this festive season in India, while one in two consumers are willing to increase their spending compared to last year, a new survey report showed on Monday. Digital payment methods are on the rise, with 42 per cent of consumers saying they will choose unified payments interface (<keyword id="6358921" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="upi" source="Orion">UPI</keyword>)-for online festive shopping. In addition, 57 per cent indicated that their preferred digital payment method for earning rewards and cashback is UPI, especially during the festive season. About 75 per cent are interested in buying electronic gadgets and products (smartphones, TVs, refrigerators and ACs), luxury and authentic beauty brands, home furnishing/improvement items and consumables, online, according to the report by <keyword id="17495816" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="nielsen-media-india" source="Orion">Nielsen Media India</keyword>, on behalf of Amazon India. The survey said that 87 per cent of consumers in metropolitan cities and 86 per cent across tier-2 cities (population 10-40 lakh) prefer to shop online for the festive period. "We are inspired to learn that consumers this year are excited and willing to spend and shop more online. As a marketplace, we are confident that the 'Amazon Great India Festival 2023' will offer a seamless shopping experience, incredible value and the widest selection of domestic and international brands and products," said Manish Tiwary, Country Manager India Consumer Business, Amazon India. More than 70 per cent of consumers wait for online festive shopping events to purchase electronic items. Over 75 per cent of consumers are excited with attractive bank offers and no-cost EMIs for making their purchase more convenient and rewarding, said the report. Around 80 per cent consumers said online festive shopping events provide access to trendy brands for apparel, footwear, and various fashion accessories with nearly 64 per cent sharing their intent to purchase across these categories this festive season. Driven by about 140 million shoppers, India is likely to witness Rs 90,000 crore worth of online gross merchandise value (GMV) in the festive month this year. This is up 18-20 per cent from last year's festive month sales, according to a recent report by market research firm Redseer Strategy Consultants. M Prasidh Krishna has received a maiden call-up to the Indian squad for their upcoming three-match ODI series against England. The 18-member squad, which was announced on Friday, also includes Suryakumar Yadav, who made his international debut in the five-match T20I series and scored a match-winning half century in the fourth T20I. Krishna took 14 wickets at an average of 22.21 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to help Karnataka to the semi-finals, where they lost to eventual champions Mumbai. All-rounder Washington Sundar, who played his only ODI match against Sri Lanka in December 2017, has been included in the team. Fellow all-rounder Krunal Pandya also finds a place. Pandya is yet to play an ODI match and his last international game was a T20I against Bangladesh in November 2019. Fast bowler T Natarajan, who missed the T20I series due to a niggle, has been included. Natarajan played in the third ODI during the Australia tour on December 2 and took two wickets to help India to a 13-run win.
