MS Dhoni-backed drone firm Garuda Aerospace launches farmers-focused film

Garuda Aerospace also said it has an order book of 5,000 drones. According to Garuda Aerospace, the DGC Type Certification is provided on the basis of the quality check of the drones and is issued after a rigorous testing process for the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The Type certification was introduced by the Indian government in August 2021 under Drone Rules. Following the Type Certification for the GA-AG model, Garuda Kisan Drone - priced at Rs.4.50 lakh- is now eligible for Rs.10 lakh unsecured loan from Agri Infrastructure Fund at five per cent and 50-100 per cent subsidy from the Government of India. "We are powered and blessed with strong demands of manufacturing 5,000 drones in the next five months catering to many opportunities. DGCA approves Garuda Aerospace's Kisan drone

Bengaluru, Drone manufacturer <keyword id="4610420" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Garuda-Aerospace" source="Orion">Garuda Aerospace</keyword> said on Tuesday it has secured an order of 400 Agri Kisan Drones from Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (<keyword id="74204" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="iffco" source="Orion">IFFCO</keyword>). This takes Garuda <keyword id="84758" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="aerospace" source="Orion">Aerospace</keyword>'s order book tally to 10,000 drones for this year within the first three months, it said in a statement. "The collaboration between Garuda Aerospace and IFFCO aims to revolutionise the agricultural sector by introducing the Garuda Kisan Drone at the 'IFFCO Drone Yatra' in Karnataka. These state-of-the-art drones will enable farmers to utilise Nano Urea spraying through Precision Agriculture Drones, maximising their efficiency and productivity," it said. According to the statement, IFFCO has launched a nationwide campaign to procure 2,500 'Kisan Drones' as spray solutions for their products -- Nano Urea and Nano DAP. This initiative not only supports the development of around 5,000 rural entrepreneurs trained in drone spraying but also promotes sustainable agriculture and holistic cooperative development, it said.

Garuda Aerospace drones are delivering food and medicine in flood-hit Assam

According to Garuda Aerospace, the funding round was led by <keyword id="6357097" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="venture-capital" source="Orion">Venture Capital</keyword> firm <keyword id="15395438" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sphiticap" source="Orion">SphitiCap</keyword> which invested $12 million along with participation from other global investors, angel investors and high net worth individuals (<keyword id="50379" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="hni" source="Orion">HNI</keyword>) at $5 million. Another $5 million in funding from an infra-development company, a group of HNIs and angel investors from <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>, <keyword id="6358356" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="uae" source="Orion">UAE</keyword> and Singapore was secured by the startup earlier. Disruptions to 737 Max production could drag on US GDP, JPMorgan said in a note to clients on Friday.If 737 Max production stops, "it would take about 0.15% off the level of GDP, or about 0.6%-point off the quarterly annualized growth rate of GDP in the quarter in which production is stopped," the bank said.But other airlines won't necessarily follow Garuda's lead in canceling 737 Max 8 orders. Airlines have not stopped financing 737 Max aircraft that have yet to be delivered, and valuations for the aircraft are the same as before they were grounded in much of the world, according to The Wall Street Journal. <h2>Order revisions are more likely than cancellations</h2>If airlines do try to change the terms of their orders, they're more likely to reduce their size or renegotiate them, rather than canceling them entirely, the aviation analysts Henry Harteveldt and George Hamlin told Business Insider.The context of Garuda's decision is important to consider, said Harteveldt, the founder of the travel-research company Atmosphere Research Group. Garuda is the national airline of Indonesia, the site of the October 2018 Lion Air crash, which means "there is a heightened awareness" of the March 10 crash there, Harteveldt said.And the decision to cancel an aircraft order is a difficult one. Boeing and Airbus dominate the market for large, commercial aircraft, and both have order backlogs, said Hamlin, the president of Hamlin <keyword id="34991" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="transportation">Transportation</keyword> Consulting."Right now, if you cancel your Max order, what are you going to substitute for? Airbus would love to have more business and to take customers from Boeing, but the A320 family and the 737 line are sold out for years into the future," he said. "You could probably find the occasional airplane, but switching a whole, large fleet order would be quite difficult."Moving from Boeing to Airbus aircraft could be particularly challenging, since Airbus has less production capacity than Boeing, Harteveldt said.<h2>Canceling an aircraft order is difficult</h2>Beyond capacity constraints, airlines make a series of investments and decisions when they order an aircraft - like training employees, buying the equipment and parts necessary for maintenance, and designing a schedule based around the plane's capabilities - that can be difficult to untangle."As an airline, when you commit to an airplane, it's like getting married in a place where divorce is very difficult," Harteveldt said.Airlines that have already received the 737 Max 8 face another set of questions as the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ethiopia-crash-countries-that-have-grounded-the-boeing-737-max-2019-3">737 Max 8 remains grounded</a> in many countries while investigators work to determine what caused the two recent crashes. American Airlines said on Sunday that it was <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/american-airlines-extends-boeing-737-max-flight-cancellations-through-april-24-2019-3">canceling around 90 flights per day</a> due to the 737 Max grounding and extended the cancellations through April 24. Security researcher <keyword id="14547969" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="anurag-sen" source="Orion">Anurag Sen</keyword> told portal XposedOrNot that the exposure was "due to a misconfiguration in the system and could be easily accessed by anyone with knowledge of the database's IP address". The size of the exposed data was more than 6GB in size, and growing, according to Sen. In a statement to IANS, a PokerBaazi spokesperson said that "we would like to clarify that there is no data breach and our server did not expose any real data pertaining to users". "This was a testing done at the dummy stage with logs of dummy users to further develop our platform. These dummy accounts/users are used by our internal testers and developers," said the spokesperson. Sen had also tweeted that India's PokerBaazi site suffered a major security lapse. "Even after multiple attempts to contact. No reply so far.
