'The Traitors' season 3 cast includes Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Zac Efron's brother, Britney Spears' ex-husband, and more — see the full cast

<ul class="summary-list"><li>For the first time in Bachelor Nation history, two women are co-starring in "The Bachelorette."</li><li>Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia were cast as leads after leaving season 26 "Bachelor" heartbroken.</li></ul><p>Two leading ladies take on the role of <a href="https://www.insider.com/bachelorette-seasons-ranked-2021-6">"The Bachelorette"</a> for the first time ever, and it's causing new challenges for the production staff.  </p><p>The popular dating show put a spin on its latest season by casting two single women. Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia were invited to star as "Bachelorettes" after they found themselves among the last three contestants remaining on <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-bachelor-star-clayton-echard-addresses-cheating-accusations-2022-4">Clayton Echard's season on "The Bachelor."</a> In the final episodes of the show, the women were seen dealing with their mutual heartbreak: Echard told the women that he'd been intimate with both of them, but decided to pursue a relationship with another contestant, Suzie Evans. </p><p>While the next bachelorette is typically a runner-up from a previous season, the show then made an unprecedented move by announcing that both Windey and Recchia would lead the current season. It began airing on July 11.</p><p>It's a decision that <a href="https://www.insider.com/best-looks-bachelorette-history-according-cary-fetman-stylist-2020-12">Cary Fetman</a>, the show's longtime stylist, told Insider that he hopes is never made again. </p><p>"I pray that we don't ever try to do this again," Fetman said. </p><div type="image" title="Gabby Windey, Rachel Recchia, and the men from season 19 of &quot;The Bachelorette.&quot;" height="4000" width="6000" msid="93351928" hostid="261" sizebytes="1079184"></div><p>Fetman, who has styled "The Bachelorette" since 2003, said that both women are easy to work with, but the hurdles stem from the amount of work and short notice. He said he and the rest of the crew had to double the amount they did to ensure Windey and Recchia were each given the opportunity to shine in the lead role. It was stressful, he said.</p><p>His other issue is how late the leads were announced. "It was so last second," he said.</p><p>Fetman explained that he can't fully prepare the women's outfits for the season until the starring lady is announced. He did, however, say he started pulling some clothing for both Windey and Recchia before the announcement as he suspected they were candidates for the next "Bachelorette." </p><p>"I was running out of time," he said. "I had to get orders in." </p><p>What he didn't expect is that they would both step into the role. When he found out about the dual leads, he said he had a week to finish shopping as well as do crucial fittings before filming began.</p><p>"It was insane," Fetman said of the rush to start filming. "They brought nothing. So one went home to pack up some of her things while the other one came to have a fitting with me." </p><h2>Windey and Recchia have different styles, but during filming, they sometimes selected the same outfits</h2><p>Working with two bachelorettes posed another challenge to Fetman. He had to provide both Windey and Recchia with a huge selection of clothing tailored to their respective styles. </p><p>Windey, Fetman said, prefers wearing sexier, more revealing clothing. "If Gabby can walk around naked on a date, that's her style," he said. "The less clothes she has on, the happier she is."</p><p>Meanwhile, Recchia is more conservative. "Rachel came to me with a statement that really kind of blew my mind: 'People describe me as the mother of the bride,'" he said. "Which just killed me that anybody would ever say that to her."</p><p>Fetman said she told him that she wanted to try something different while filming.</p><div type="image" title="The two women are the first join leads on &quot;The Bachelorette.&quot;" height="2249" width="3000" msid="93351930" hostid="261" sizebytes="548558"></div><p>Despite their differing approaches to fashion, there were times during fittings for eveningwear when both women picked the same gown. Fetman said Windey and Recchia easily resolved who got to wear what. "One would say, 'No. Please. It's not that important to me. I want her to feel good,''" Fetman said. "It was a great friendship."</p><p>Fetman added that both Recchia and Windey knew immediately what their <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-bachelorette-night-one-premiere-looks-ranked-2022-7">first and final gowns</a> would be, which he said has never happened before.</p><p>During the course of filming, the women received more outfits than past bachelorettes. Fetman said that he typically pulls 138 to 150 looks. Recchia and Windey had around 230 outfits each.</p><p>"There were so many more times where they would change a third, and sometimes fourth time, during the day," he said, noting that the women had to swap looks each time they filmed with a different contestant or the host, Jesse Palmer.</p><p>Despite hoping a dual-bachelorette style season never happens again, Fetman said he has a great relationship with Recchia and Windey, who he said were both a "blast to style."</p><p>"Fortunately the girls were amazing," he said, adding that overall, he has "gotten very lucky with most of the contestants." </p>

'The Bachelorette' stylist said he prays ABC never casts two leads again

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Photos of Erich Schwer in Blackface were published in a Reddit thread. </li><li>In an Instagram post on Thursday, Schwer said he is "deeply ashamed" of his actions. </li></ul><p>"Bachelorette" star Erich Schwer said he will "forever regret" a Blackface photo that resurfaced when he became one of the final men vying for co-lead Gabby Windey's final rose on the <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-bachelorette-night-one-premiere-looks-ranked-2022-7">hit reality show</a>. </p><p>A <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/thebachelor/comments/x8mm63/repost_without_other_names_erich_in_blackface_in/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=ios_app&amp;utm_name=iossmf">Reddit thread revealed</a> a yearbook photo of Schwer in Blackface and wearing a wig. Schwer said the photo was meant to be a tribute to Jimi Hendrix.</p><p>"I wholeheartedly apologize for the insensitive photo of me in Blackface from my high school yearbook that has been circulating," he wrote in an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CiQzd7uvoxf/">Instagram post of a black square</a>. "What I thought at the time was a representation of my love for Jimi Hendrix, was nothing but ignorance. I was naïve to the hurtful implications of my actions to the Black community and those closest to me, and will forever regret my offensive and damaging behavior."</p><p>Schwer concluded the post by saying that he was "deeply ashamed" of his behavior and that he understands that the apology "is only the first step in taking accountability." </p><p>Representatives for ABC have not immediately responded to Insider's request for comment. </p><div type="image" title="Gabby Windy with suitors." height="2249" width="3000" msid="94107836" hostid="261" sizebytes="573584"></div><p>Schwer is Windey's final suitor since she ended her relationship with Jason Alabaster after a dinner date during fantasy suite week. On September 13, we'll watch Schwer meet Windey's family and they'll reveal on the live finale if they're engaged, have split up, or if their status is something in between. </p><p>Schwer's resurfaced Blackface photo isn't the first<a href="https://www.insider.com/the-bachelor-matt-james-rachael-kirkconnell-book-interview-2022-5"> controversy related to race</a> that the "Bachelor" franchise has faced.</p><p>While Matt James' season of "The Bachelor" was airing, racially insensitive photos were circulating online of his suitor and eventual girlfriend Rachel Kirkconnell at a plantation-themed party.</p><p>Then-host Chris Harrison defended her actions during an interview with Extra reporter and former "Bachelorette" lead Rachel Lindsay. <ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="14553894" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="michelle-young" source="Orion">Michelle Young</keyword>'s night-one dress from "<keyword id="11910908" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="the-bachelorette" source="Orion">The Bachelorette</keyword>" was painful to wear, the designer said.</li><li><keyword id="14553895" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="couture" source="Orion">Couture</keyword> dressmaker Randi Rahm told Insider Young wore over 40 pounds of weight around her neck.</li></ul><p>Michelle Young was smiling in her shimmery, metallic couture dress for the most part on her first night as lead on <a href="https://www.insider.com/bachelorette-seasons-ranked-2021-6">"The Bachelorette,"</a> but she may have been in physical pain, the dressmaker told Insider. </p><p>New York City-based <a href="https://www.randirahm.com/couture">couture designer Randi Rahm</a>, who created a majority of the evening gowns worn by women on "The Bachelorette," said Young's soft lime-colored gown was an example of a heavily-beaded bachelorette dress that's also backless, which puts a lot of the weight onto the neck.</p><p>"That's painful," Rahm said. "It was beautiful but you know what? The weight of it on her neck, it can cut into you after a while." She added that the total burden placed on Young's neck was roughly 45 pounds, which is something she would never advise any of her clients outside of the ABC reality show to wear. </p><div type="image" title="Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya on night one of her season on &quot;The Bachelorette.&quot;" height="2400" width="3000" msid="93119075" hostid="261" sizebytes="1224282"></div><p>"When I'm giving it, or making it, or tweaking it, to a real person, I'll make straps, or do something that becomes a little more comfortable," she said.</p><p>Rahm said she could imagine that most of her dresses used on the show can cause pain to the leads as they're not supposed to be worn for as long as filming takes place, especially on the first night, which she said can last well into the early hours of the morning. </p><p>"Some of these beaded gowns are not made to wear 24 hours," Rahm said. "They're made to wear for an event."</p><p>While she said she does make adjustments, such as adding fabric to make sure that no sequins are cutting into the skin of the bachelorette, the sheer weight of the dress can make the experience uncomfortable "no matter what."</p><div type="image" title="Leads wearing Randi Rahm designs on night one of &quot;The Bachelorette&quot; through the years." height="947" width="1263" msid="93119077" hostid="261" sizebytes="142274"></div><p>Rahm said she first started having her dresses featured on the reality program after the stylist of the show, Cary Fetman, reached out to her when "The Bachelorette" began airing in 2003. </p><p>Fetman previously told Insider's Gabbi Shaw that leads on the show tend to <a href="https://www.insider.com/bachelorette-star-sparkly-dresses-2020-12">wear sparkly dresses</a> because the entrance driveway is wet and the gown needs to be one that can absorb water and dirt easily. </p><p>"I didn't let him pull from me for many years, until 'The Bachelorette' happened, which was a spinoff of 'The Bachelor,'" she said. While the leads often get thousands of pieces to choose from throughout filming, it's her designs that have most often wound up featuring on momentous episodes, such as the first night and the finale.</p><p>But, Rahm said, it's completely up to the leads. "It's the girls who, ultimately, choose every single thing they wear."</p><p>Even so, Rahm's popularity among the show's leads is still ongoing. In the current season, Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey both opted for Randi Rahm couture gowns for night one and the second episode, according to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/caryfetman/?hl=en">Fetman's Instagram</a> posts. </p><p>Representatives for Michelle Young did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment. </p>

More recently, she designed the sparkly dresses worn by season 19 bachelorettes Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey in the premiere episode.</p><p>As a "Bachelorette" style veteran, <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-bachelorette-night-one-premiere-looks-ranked-2022-7">Rahm said a lot has changed</a> since the early days — and for good reason. "It evolves as we will evolve," she told Insider. It's not HBO or Showtime. There is some limitations, but I think it's become a little bit more daring," Rahm said. </p><p>One of the ways she could see the show push the boundaries is by having a bachelorette wear a jumpsuit, rather than the traditional evening gown, she said.</p><p>"I think the producers like the very glamorous gowns," she said. "It's usually silver or white." </p><p>"But I always push the envelope with my clients," Rahm said, adding it would be "really cool" to see a lead wear a sparkly jumpsuit. Pieces she designs can cost up to $2.5 million and take up to a year to hand-make, she said. </p><p>"Couture should be timeless," Rahm said.</p><p>"The art, or the couture part of it, for me, each one is basically one of a kind," she added. "My pieces don't go in or out of style."</p>

So, you might be wondering why it seems like the lead, year after year, is wearing a sparkly gown that doesn't look particularly comfortable.</p><p>Turns out, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.</p><p>"On a first night, the only reason why I will normally push a little more sparkle or have the bottom be not a fabric, or even just a netting, is because they stand in a wet driveway during a normal season," <a href="https://www.instagram.com/caryfetman/">Cary Fetman</a>, the show's longtime stylist, told Insider.</p><p>The driveway is typically sprayed with water so it appears better on camera. Netting can also work because he can wash it quickly, then "put it right back on her while she's warming up or going through all of the people she had just met, and looking at a photo again so she can remember their names."</p><p>"It gives me like 15 minutes to be able to dry it with blow dryers and clean it to make sure that she's not walking out dirty as soon as she's walking out to see the men," he said.</p><h2>Fetman has found the Bachelorettes also gravitate towards sequins</h2><p>Fetman, who styles the lead but not the contestants, wants to make it clear: "I have never pushed sequins."</p><p>"I think what happens is they come into a room with one thing that they have in their mind — they don't want sparkles. They don't want to look like any of the other girls. And then they start trying these sequined gowns on, and I don't know why they all keep going to Randi [Rahm] but they just do."</p><p>The green dress Young is seen wearing on the first night of season 18, which kicks off on October 19, is <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CVEaVPtD4Af/">also by Randi Rahm.</a></p><p>As for some of Fetman's favorite night one looks?
