It is not just my victory, it is the victory of each woman, each child, each mother, and each and every citizen of Delhi.<br /><br />In the last five years, we have only tried to bring a little relief to the lives for the people of Delhi. We have tried to bring in as much development as I can, and that will be our effort in the next five years too.<br /><br />Call your relatives in the villages and tell them that "our son Kejriwal has become the Chief Minister there is nothing to worry about." Some people Delhi in voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party, some voted for Congress, some voted for other parties but today as I am sworn in, I am the Chief Minister for all of them, not just the ones who voted for Aam Aadmi Party. <br /><br />I have refused to help any voter of Delhi because of his or her political affiliations. We put water pipelines, and got work done, even in areas which are known to vote for BJP. No matter which party you suppoer, no matter what your faith is, no matter what your caste is, turn up with your requests without hesitation, your work will be done.<br /><br />There is still a lot of work to be done in Delhi. I want to work together with everyone.<br /><br />Election is over. A lot of people said a lot of things about each other. A lot of rivals said some mean things about us but today we have forgiven them. I request my rivals too, let us work together to make Delhi a better place.<br /><br />I also want to work with the Central Government to take Delhi a long way forward. I had even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi but he was probably busy, he couldn't make it.<br /><br />My dear citizens of Delhi, you have given birth to a new kind of politics in the country- one that focuses on real issues like education, health, basic amenities, good roads. Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success. 'From this moment on, it's going to be America First': Here's President Donald Trump's full inauguration speech

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>For Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Friday's inauguration of President Donald Trump couldn't have gone any better.<p>It has nothing to do with <keyword id="6358883" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Politics">politics</keyword> - and everything to do with the judge's flawless recitation of the oath of office <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUNxj4PKFqo">as Trump was getting sworn in</a>.</p><p>Roberts wasn't so fortunate eight years ago in 2009, during Barack Obama's first inauguration. In that ceremony, as Roberts led Obama in the 35-word oath, he memorably recited one of the words out of order, causing Obama to hesitate in a brief moment of awkwardness.</p><p>Article II of the Constitution required Obama to say he "will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States." But Roberts, reciting the passage from memory, placed the word "faithfully" at the end of the clause - "I will execute the Office of President to the United States faithfully," he said.</p><p>The deviation from the original text tripped Obama up, and he momentarily paused after the word "execute." Realizing his mistake, Roberts repeated the clause, starting with the word "faithfully" - resulting in "execute faithfully," which is still incorrect. Obama answered back with Roberts' original incorrect recitation of the oath, and broke out into a smile over the confusion. (No one seemed to notice that Roberts originally said "President <em>to</em> the United States" instead of "<em>of</em> the United States.")</p><p>The incident may have arisen from Roberts' adherence to a dubious rule of grammar that says a two-part verb, such as "will execute," cannot be split up by an adverb, such as "faithfully." Roberts <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/22/opinion/22pinker.html">has a history</a> of grammatical pedantry, linguist Steven Pinker noted the day after Obama's inauguration, and as Roberts recited the oath, his persnickety instincts may have caused him to inadvertently transpose the words.</p><p>Conservative pundits immediately pounced on the blunder. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace even openly wondered whether Obama was actually president.</p><p>"I have to say, I'm not sure that Barack Obama really is the president of the United States, because the oath of office is set in the Constitution," Wallace said during Fox News's coverage of the inauguration.</p><p>He was - Obama officially became president five minutes earlier when the clock struck noon. Constitutional experts also chimed in, saying the flub didn't affect Obama's status as president.</p><p>But to quell the rumors, Obama and Roberts <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/22/us/politics/22oath.html?_r=0">took part in another swearing-in ceremony the following day</a>, and it went off without a hitch.</p><p>Four years later, for Obama's second inauguration, Roberts read the oath from a notecard. This time, it was Obama who messed up, hesitating on the word "states" in "United States," and never fully enunciating it.</p><p>That misstep got much less attention than the one in 2009. But the point was moot - Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday that year, so the public ceremony Americans viewed on Monday was just for show. "That's what democratic socialism means in 2018, and not this kind of McCarthyism Red Scare of a past era."</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now the congresswoman makes headlines nearly every week, whether it's because of her proposal to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-progressive-taxes-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-tax-plan-2019-1">hike taxes on the wealthiest Americans</a> or an <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-responds-conservative-critics-new-dancing-video-2019-1">old college video that surfaced</a>. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But for Ocasio-Cortez, it all goes back to when Donald Trump became President of the United States. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"I think so many New Yorkers remember the morning after the election because the election, of course, was on a Tuesday, and most of us had to go to work the next day," she recalls. "I remember taking the six train downtown the morning after the election, and it was quiet. It was so quiet on the subways, and we're talking about the train car was packed, absolutely packed with people, and you could just feel the heaviness on every single train car."</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At the time, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-prepared-politics-harassed-bartender-2019-1">she was working as a bartender</a> at a taqueria called Flats Fix in Manhattan.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Even in my experience, working in restaurants, so many of our immigrant coworkers decided to go back home to their home countries," she said. "A lot of people started going back home feeling like they weren't welcome in America anymore. And it has a real impact on our communities. Businesses start to close. People start to struggle. Communities really struggled to kind of have to work extra hard to maintain that fabric."</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ocasio-Cortez hasn't let her political stardom get in the way of how she feels about her family. Her mother Blanca was at her swearing-in ceremony, holding the Bible as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi administered the oath of office. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Afterward, the congresswoman penned an emotional Instagram post thanking her mother for sacrificing everything to raise her after her father died.</span></p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ocasio-Cortez's father died of cancer when she was a sophomore in college. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"I think he'd be proud. I think he'd be laughing a lot," she said. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>REUTERS/Jim Young</span></p><p class="caption">Chicago Police Department's newest class of recruits take their Oath of Office during their graduation ceremony in Chicago, Illinois, April 21, 2014.</p></div><p></p></div></div>A deal between the City of Chicago and its embattled police unions have made it extraordinarily easy for police to file false reports after shootings, a panel assigned by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel found.</p><p>The details were revealed Wednesday in a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/ap-report-chicago-police-have-no-regard-for-minority-lives-2016-4">scathing report</a> on longstanding systemic racism within the Chicago Police Department.</p><p>According to the report, the city's collective bargaining agreements allow Chicago police officers to wait 24 hours after a shooting to provide a statement, giving them time to confer with other officers and get their story straight.</p><p>That's what the panel suggests happened following the 2014 death of Laquan McDonald, a black teenager <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/laquan-mcdonald-police-shooting-video-2015-11">whose fatal shooting by police</a> ignited a firestorm of protest and debate.</p><p>The day after the shooting, the Chicago Police Department put out a statement saying McDonald, who was holding a 3-inch knife, had posed <span>"a very serious threat to the officers" and that he <span>"refused to comply with orders to drop the knife and continued to approach the officers."</span></span></p><p><span><span>Several officers who were on the scene, including Jason Van Dyke, the officer who shot McDonald, <a href="http://www.documentcloud.org/documents/2642136-McD-2.html">repeated that account in their subsequent statements</a>.</span></span></p><p><span><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table center"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Thomson Reuters</span></p><p class="caption">Combination of still images from video released by Chicago Police show Laquan McDonald walking and subsequently shot in Chicago</p></div><p></p></div></div><a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/laquan-mcdonald-police-shooting-video-2015-11">Dashcam footage</a> of the incident that was released the following year showed McDonald veering away from the officers at the time he was shot, seemingly contradicting the officers' accounts.</span></span></p><p>"Initial reports of the shooting were superficial and false," the panel's report states.</p><p>"The truth is that at the time Van Dyke fired the first of 16 shots, Laquan McDonald posed no immediate threat to anyone."</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table center"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>REUTERS/Jim Young</span></p><p class="caption">Demonstrators block the street during protests in Chicago following the release of a police video of the 2014 shooting of a black teenager, Laquan McDonald, by a white policeman, November 24, 2015.</p></div><p></p></div></div>The 24-hour grace period isn't the only agreement that works to officers' advantage. One of the US's biggest police departments has a deal that helps it get away with filing false police reports

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>A <a href="http://www.pewhispanic.org/2015/09/28/modern-immigration-wave-brings-59-million-to-u-s-driving-population-growth-and-change-through-2065/"><span class="s2">recent study from the Pew Research Center</span></a>&#xa0;reveal that Americans have some mixed feelings when it comes to incoming immigrants.</span></p><p class="p2">One public opinion&#xa0;poll asked Americans whether they felt that immigrants in the US had improved or harmed the country in several categories.&#xa0;</p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">Fifty percent of respondents felt that immigrants were making the economy worse while only 28 percent felt that they are making it better. </span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">Despite that, 29 percent felt that&#xa0;immigrants are improving the state of science and technology in the US while only 12 percent think they are harming it. The majority - 56 percent - saw no effect&#xa0;in science and tech.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">Another key concern was crime. </span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">While Pew had previously found that <a href="http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/10/15/crime-rises-among-second-generation-immigrants-as-they-assimilate/"><span class="s2">native-born Americans and second-generation immigrants committed more crime</span></a> than foreign-born immigrants, half of Americans said&#xa0;that immigrants in the US were making crime worse. Only seven percent felt that crime was improving with immigration while 41 percent saw no difference.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">When it comes to culture, those polled were far more positive.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1"></span><span class="s1">Forty-nine percent of respondents said immigrants were making food, music, and the arts in the US better while only 11 percent said that culture had gotten worse.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1"><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">The poll also asked whether immigrants were improving or harming American "social and moral values." Americans have some strangely conflicting views on immigrants

<p dir="ltr"><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">In a quiet ceremony at CIA headquarters in Virginia on Sunday, March 1, the agency </span><a href="http://www.ndtv.com/world-news/american-spy-stationed-in-india-during-world-war-ii-turns-100-744119">celebrated the 100th birthday</a><span style="line-height: 1.5em;"> of one of its most unique spies.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>"Her many achievements and storied life are an inspiration to all women," said CIA Director John Brennan to honor Elizabeth "Betty" McIntosh, a reporter turned operative who engaged in some of the most cloak-and-dagger schemes over four decades as one of the few female spies at the agency. Born in Washington, D.C., McIntosh got a degree in journalism and worked as a reporter for several papers. Based in Hawaii, she covered the attack on Pearl Harbor first-hand, providing dramatic accounts of that tragic day.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image"></div></div></div></span></p><p>Two years later, she was working in Washington covering then-First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt at the White House when she got an assignment to profile an industrialist, who happened to be working undercover for General William "Wild Bill" Donovan, the legendary chief of the Office of Strategic Services, the precursor agency to the CIA. He recruited her to work for the OSS, which was using the art of spycraft to outwit the Nazis and the Japanese army.</p><p dir="ltr"><span>Fluent in Japanese, McIntosh's job was to create black propaganda - rumors meant to deceive the enemy. Many of her fellow spies in the OSS's office of Morale Operations were artists and writers who created fake stories. </span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>Stationed in India, she helped mock up forged Japanese government orders that purported to inform that country's troops that it was permissible to surrender, which had long been viewed as an unacceptable and shameful act. To get the order in the hands of the Japanese, McIntosh got a Burmese agent of the OSS to kill a Japanese courier traveling through the jungle and place the forged document in his knapsack. </span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>When the troops discovered the courier's dead body, they found the order and assumed it was authentic, </span><a href="https://www.cia.gov/news-information/featured-story-archive/2015-featured-story-archive/201cspy-girl201d-betty-mcintosh-turns-100-years-old.html"><span>according to a profile of McIntosh on the CIA's website</span></a><span>. Many of the soldiers subsequently surrendered to American forces.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_left"><div><div class="image"></div></div></div>Another time, she delivered what she assumed was an ordinary chunk of coal to a Chinese operative of the OSS waiting near a train station in the city of Kunming. </span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>It was actually "Black Joe," a fake lump of coal stuffed with dynamite.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>The agent took it with him on a train full of Japanese soldiers. As the train crossed a bridge over a lake, </span><span>he "threw the coal into the engine, jumped out, and as the train crossed the bridge, </span><a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/decades-after-duty-in-the-oss-and-cia-spy-girls-find-each-other-in-retirement/2011/05/28/AG2xvZmH_story.html"><span>the train exploded</span></a><span>," McIntosh told the Washington Post.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>Later, she was flown behind enemy lines with future famous chef Julia Child on a small plane into China, where she worked in a "black radio station," writing scripts intended to confuse Japanese listeners. </span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>Sometimes, the scripts weren't that far off the truth. The day that US forces dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima, the station's fortune teller read from McIntosh's script, predicting that "something terrible is going to happen to Japan...to eradicate one whole area of Japan." It was just a coincidence since McIntosh actually didn't know about the top-secret plans to drop the bomb.  </span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>After the war, she returned home, got married and wrote for fashion magazines, which she found so boring that she convinced the CIA to hire her.
