Aizawl, Mar 19 () Budget carrier GoAir has decidedto withdraw its earlier notification to suspend all flightoperations to Mizoram amid the coronavirus scare, officialssaid.A release issued by the state's information and publicrelations department said the airline took the call tocontinue services in Mizoram due to "public appeal".GoAir would continue its operation on the Kolkata-Guwahati-Aizawl sector, the release said.The Wadia Group-promoted carrier on Tuesday said ithas suspended all flights to Mizoram from March 19 till April15 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.It also put on hold the proposed direct flight servicebetween Aizawl and Delhi."In the light of the suspension order, GoAir hasexpressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the publicfor momentarily conveying about the cancellation of scheduledflights," an official said.The state's principal consultant for civil aviation,Wing Commander J Lalhmingliana told that GoAir's latestdecision was taken in the interest of passengers, whocomplained that the abrupt suspension would create a lot ofproblems as they had booked tickets well in advance.He, however, said the airline is yet to intimate aboutthe launch of direct flights between Aizawl and Delhi.GoAir launched services in Mizoram on October 15,2019. Moody's lowered its rating to Baa2 from Baa1, the lowest for any state since Massachusetts in 1992, Bloomberg says. According to Moody's, "The rating downgrade reflects continuing budget imbalance due to political gridlock that for more than a year has kept Illinois from addressing revenue lost due to income tax cuts that took effect in January 2015." In addition, S&amp;P Global Ratings lowered its rating to BBB+ from AA- and Fitch gave a negative outlook on the state and issued a grade of BBB+. <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-puertorico-debt-house-idUSKCN0YV2CL">Puerto Rico's debt plan passed the House</a>. By a vote of 297 to 127, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that would help ease the commonwealth's debt burden. According to Reuters, the fear is that passing the bill will allow Puerto Rico to "restructure its $70 billion debt in a way that changes the seniority of the creditors," creating a bad precedent for US states that face similar burdens.
