<keyword id="4792" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Filmfare-Awards">Filmfare awards</keyword>, one of the oldest film events in India, are esteemed for their credibility and are considered equivalent to The Oscars in Bollywood. This year, the best movies, performances, music, art and other aspects of film making would be taking the black beauties home for the 61st time, and the competition could not have been tougher. 
 The list of nominations for the <keyword id="3205333" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="61st-filmfare">61st Filmfare</keyword> Awards is out, as an expert panel and general public both would decide to honor the best of Indian cinema for entertaining the world and keeping the spirit of Hindi cinema alive.

If there's is one thing we should be thankful about in 2016, it's the ridiculously good looking pairing of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ranbir+kapoor&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Ranbir Kapoor </a>and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=aishwarya+RAI+BACHCHAN&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.</a> Not only does Ash look smolderingly hot but she's also slaying the whole older woman-younger man equation like a queen.

While on one hand <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> star <keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword> was not even nominated for the role in the movie <keyword id="433624" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rustom">Rustom</keyword> in Filmfare Awards this year, he has managed to grab the most prestigious film award for the same. 
 
The actor was announced the winner of the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role as Captain Rustom Pawri in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/entertainment/Rustom-release-Akshay-Kumars-Rustom-is-inspired-by-this-real-life-story-and-it-is-a-must-read/articleshow/53663632.cms">semi-autobiographical movie</a>, based on the story of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati.

Sonam Kapoor's critically acclaimed 'Neerja,' based on the life and death of braveheart airhostess <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/entertainment/movies/Sonam-Kapoor-To-Play-Neerja-Bhanot-In-Biopic/articleshow/46766082.cms">Neerja Bhanot</a> was honoured with the Best Film Award. 
These are the 64th National Film Awards, and the jury was headed by director Priyadarshan. 
 
The awards were held at the National Media Centre, where Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay' also won the award for Best Special Effects.

Akshay Kumar wins the National Award for best actor; 'Neerja' wins best film

If reports are to be believed, Bollywood’s dimpled beauty <keyword id="8145" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Preity-zinta">Preity Zinta</keyword> has settled down with her American boyfriend in a private and intimate ceremony held in Los Angeles, California. The lucky guy who swept the 41-years old actress and IPL team owner off her feet is said to be <keyword id="3154347" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Gene-Goodenough">Gene Goodenough</keyword> (that name, we tell you). 
 
The wedding was a low-key affair with only close friends and family present, the news of which was broken by <a href="http://www.filmfare.com/news/preity-zinta-gets-married-in-la-12404.html">Filmfare India</a>. 
 
Suzanne Khan and Surily Goel, who are Zinta’s best friends, didn’t miss the wedding, with Khan sharing random LA scenic pics on her Instagram handle. As reported earlier, Preity Zinta would be holding an auction for her wedding pictures, the money from which would be sent to her charity Preity Zinta foundation, which is why there are no images available from the wedding ceremony. 
 
Now, one could say that this is just a rumor, since neither the bride nor her family has confirmed the news, but Farah Khan Ali, who is Suzanne Khan’s elder sister took to microblogging site Twitter to congratulate the Veer-Zaara actress on her wedding, and seeing that Suzanne was in LA for Zinta’s marriage, this pretty much establishes the news.
