There is no universal deadline for this,” senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing the Facebook-owned company, said. However, the Centre, in response said the new privacy policies of the app violates the Indian Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000 and asked the social media platform not to bring in any changes for now. You can still answer video and voice calls, reply to messages in the first few weeks, but you cannot open the chat list because you'll be welcomed with a pop up reminding you of the new terms of service.<br /><br /><strong>You won't be able to:</strong><br /><ul><li>set status updates within the app</li><li>forward messages from one chat to other</li><li>manage and use the broadcast list </li><li>create new groups</li><li>quote messages or tag participants in group chat</li><li>send voice messages, stickers and other media within the app</li><li>manually backup chat history</li><li>export your chat history</li><li>use the Click To Chat service</li></ul>If you don't accept the new terms of service for more than a couple of weeks, you won't be able to receive calls and messages, or anything for that matter, as your app will be completely disabled.<br /><br />Note that WhatsApp won't delete your account and chats but you'll only be able to access and use it after accepting the terms. As per <a href="https://wabetainfo.com/what-happens-after-may-15th/">WABetaInfo</a>, WhatsApp might still delete your account (chats, messages, backups) after a certain period (4 months) due to inactivity.<br /><br /><strong>If you have accepted the terms of service<br /></strong><br />Many users believe that accepting the new terms and conditions will allow Facebook to gather more of their data, but it's not the case. You can still use the app to chat, call or send voice notes to friends and family while keeping it private just how it used to be. The change, however, is with how you interact with <keyword id="4936066" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="whatsapp-business">WhatsApp business</keyword> accounts. <br /><br />There are two types of business accounts on WhatsApp -- a regular business account and a special business account that uses cloud providers. An administrator of a WhatsApp group cannot be held criminally liable for an <keyword id="1112268" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="objectionable-post">objectionable post</keyword> by another member of the group, the Nagpur bench of the <keyword id="48485" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bombay-high-court">Bombay High Court</keyword> has held and quashed a case of sexual harassment lodged against a 33-year-old man.<br /><br />The order was passed last month and a copy of it was made available on April 22.<br /><br />A division bench headed by Justice Z A Haq and A B Borkar noted that an administrator of a WhatsApp group has only limited powers of adding or deleting members to the group and does not have the power to regulate or censor the content posted in the group.<br /><br />The court passed its order on an application filed by Kishor Tarone (33), the administrator of a WhatsApp group.<br /><br />He was seeking to quash the case registered against him in Gondia district in 2016 under Sections 354-A(1)(iv) (making sexually coloured remarks), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and 107 (abetment) of the <keyword id="6360844" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="ipc">IPC</keyword> and Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the <keyword id="6433641" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="information-technology-act">Information Technology Act</keyword>.<br /><br />As per the prosecution, Tarone failed to take action against a member of his WhatsApp group who used filthy and indecent language against a woman member in the group.<br /><br />It was alleged that the applicant, being the group administrator, did not remove or delete the member from the group and also did not asked him to apologise.<br /><br />The bench in its order said the crux of the matter is whether an administrator of a WhatsApp group can be held criminally liable for objectionable posts made by a member of the group.<br /><br />Noting the functioning of the messaging service app, the court said, "Group administrators, as they are generally called, are the ones who create the group by adding or deleting members. Infosys CEO Salil Parekh joins USISPF Board

The <keyword id="6355835" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="un" source="Orion">UN</keyword> said on Tuesday that "with many positives", India's economic growth this year is expected to hold at 5.8 per cent, affirming a series of international organisations' projections that the country will be the fastest-growing major economy.<br /><br />The Midyear Update to the UN's World Economic Situation and Prospects report projected next year's gross domestic Product (GDP) to hold at 6.7 per cent "supported by resilient domestic demand".<br /><br />Speaking at the release of the report, the chief of the UN's Global Economic Monitoring Branch, Hamid Rashid, said that India continues to be "the bright spot" in the world economy with "many positives, including [that] the inflation has come down significantly" to about 5.5 per cent.<br /><br />"This means that there'll be significant room for both fiscal expansion and monetary accommodation, so that will support domestic demand," he said.<br /><br />However, he said that there were external risks.<br /><br />If the external financing conditioning deteriorates further and becomes much tighter, Rashid said, India would face some challenges, especially for exports.<br /><br />As for India reaching even higher growth rates, he said it is "subject to quite a bit of uncertainty, especially in the external environment".<br /><br />But he added, "We are pretty confident with our forecast right now for the year."<br /><br />The report said that "financial conditions in the emerging economies with good credit ratings have generally remained relatively stable".<br /><br />The International Monetary Fund (IMF) had last month projected India's GDP to grow at 5.9 per cent in the current fiscal while the World Bank (WB) pegged it at 6.3 per cent and the Asian Development Bank at 6.4 per cent, which are closer to India's Reserve Bank's 6.5 per cent.<br /><br />But both the bigger international institutions cut the projections marginally from the earlier one - You cater to enterprises, (OTT) and mobile network operators (MNO); what are the big brands or companies that are associated with you? <br /></strong><br />We are an enterprise that provides digital communication channels to the enterprises. Our customer base is from retails, banks to cab operators, and e-commerce. And whichever company wants to communicate with its customers, we provide them with a channel. And this channel can be SMS, voice call; it may email, it may be WhatsApp, it may be Viber, or can be a video. So these are the channels we provide to the enterprises so that they can efficiently communicate with the clients.<br /><br />For example, when you swipe your card, you get a debit alert, so that is done mostly by our SMS channels. Or you are on their OTT platform, and you need an OTP to download the content. So that OTP goes from our channel. We also provide a second layer in that. That is a voice channel when the client opts for an OTP via voice. <br /><br /> <strong>How are you planning to use the IPO money?<br /></strong><br />So we are looking at expanding both vertically and horizontally. Either entering into new geographies or consolidating into the existing one. We are also looking at expanding our product line. <br /><br /><strong>How has been the lockdown period for the company?<br /></strong><br />So when you say lockdown, it has propelled our business more, as a lot of digital transactions happened during the period. So lockdown has given more value addition to our portfolio. So the overall lockdown period was better for us. And at the same time, many businesses were shut too, like hospitality and tourism businesses. Now when the economy is opening up, digital transactions will be much more needed. You can simply begin typing after double tapping, or hit the plus symbol at the top to add images, graphs, video, audio, drawings, and more.</p><p>To add a new slide, hit the plus symbol in a blue box at the bottom left corner of the screen.
