A recent draft rolled out by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) <a href="https://www.bloombergquint.com/business/patent-applications-by-female-innovators-to-get-faster-clearance#gs.yAtIm_s">is seeking amendments</a> in Patent Rules, 2003. It said that a patent application put in by a woman developer/innovator will be prioritised over other applications to elevate women entrepreneurship across the country. It is not only considering <keyword id="6418358" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Patents">patents</keyword> filed by women innovators, however. In fact, according to the rules noted in the draft, even if one of the members from the group filing the patent is a female, the application will be accelerated for examination by Indian Patent Office. Notably, there was no such provision in the country’s patent rules so far. This may be because not a lot of women entrepreneurs have sought patents. While, <a href="https://www.thestar.com.my/tech/tech-news/2018/04/30/a-third-of-global-patents-by-women/">according to World Intellectual Property Organisation (Wipo) data</a>, women account for nearly one-third of patents, globally, with the highest number of patents coming from the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemistry sectors, it noted. Overall, Indians account for only 17%-18% of total registrations. The country marks seventh for the patent filing office in the world. The DIPP plans to cut down on the time incurred while examining and granting patents. To accelerate the patent granting process, the department is also looking to increase its headcount with more hirings and evolving with the growing technology. At present, the process takes 5-7 years including filing an application, the publication involved, examining the patent and finally granting it to the group. But, the DIPP is bidding to trim it to 18 months by March, 2020. According to stats recorded for this financial year, the country granted 13,045 <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/india-doubled-the-number-of-patents-it-granted-last-year-but-less-than-20-went-to-residents-and-entities-based-in-the-country/articleshow/66948">patents</a>, which is nearly 3,100 more than the last year (2016-17). India wants to dramatically speed up the processing time of patent applications filed by women

The world knows <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=sunny+leone&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Sunny Leone</a> as a former adult entertainer, a recent <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=sunny+leone&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Bollywood</a> import and the recipient of the ‘most searched star on the internet in India’ for four years in a row, but that’s not how the 35-year-old wants to be remembered. 
 
Having launched her recent perfume line ‘Lust,’ in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=dubai&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Dubai</a> barely a week back, the actress is keen to establish herself as an entrepreneur, as well. 
 
Her aim is to create a brand by tapping into various categories. 
 
At the moment, Leone’s recent line of investments includes a franchise for a box league cricket, web-based short stories, and an online game apart from fragrances. She is also keen to enter categories such as shoes, accessories, jewellery and apparels with her own line of products. 
Apart from focusing on Bollywood, the actress who was always interested in business from a young age is keen to expand her brand profile in India.

In fact, the star remembers how as a child she would put up lemonade stands during summers and shovelled snow in the winters to earn money. 
 
Her official foray into the big bad world of business started with her understanding of adult content as a business industry. But, she wanted more. “I wanted to own a website and run my company and build my brand” she said in an interview and what followed was her handling everything. 
 
In order to manage her website, she learnt HTML, video-editing, photography among others and in the process of doing everything from start to finish, Leone also learnt the harsh reality of website traffic. 
 
“In a digital world, traffic is the best thing you can have. So I learnt where to send this traffic and how to capitalise all of it,” she added. 
 
Over the years, that also included her move to India from Canada, Leone has started believing in slow and steady businesses. By her own admission, she doesn’t believe in fast-paced businesses. 
 
It was only after she decided to participate in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=bigg+boss&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Big Boss</a> did she realise the enormity of the reach her brand had in the Indian market, which ultimately led to her deciding to move to the country with her husband.

While the Lust Deo is priced at Rs 249, the Eau De Toilet comes at Rs 999. 
 
The perfume line has been designed by the actress herself, and includes, women perfumes and men and women deos. 
 
The distribution of the products has already begun, both in the online and offline categories. 
 
 
2. Box-league cricket team Chennai Swaggers

In February, the actress also unveiled her celebrity box league cricket team Chennai Swaggers, as part of a reality show cricket tournament backed by Balaji’s <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ekta+kapoor&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Ekta Kapoor </a>and featuring well known television stars as players. 
 
Justifying her decision of buying a cricket team, Leone said that though she loved several games, she fell in love with cricket after coming to India. 
 
Chennai Swaggers features a handful of known names from the Television industry that includes Shabbir Ahluwalia, Mouni Roy, Sangram Singh and Ritwick Dhanjani among others.

This year also saw Leone taking to the pen and churning out original mobile-first collection of erotic short stories under the title Sweet Dreamsin association with Chiki Sarkar’s publishing house, Juggernaut. 
 
Released in April this year, one had to sign in one the Juggernaut app on their mobile phones to buy Sweet Dreams. After purchasing the title, all one had to do is sit back, as one short story would be delivered to their phone daily at 10 pm. 
 
Reportedly, Leone finished writing the 12 erotic short stories in a span of three months.

Entrepreneurs, rejoice! Haywards is back with the
second season of India’s first startup reality program

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=karnataka&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Karnataka</a> just got a whole lot cooler as it prepares to play host to the country’s first all-women tech park. 
 
The site for this park is in a village located 40km south of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=bengaluru&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Bengaluru</a> called Harohalli. 
 The tech park, which is an initiative of the Government of <keyword id="6354780" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Karnataka">Karnataka</keyword> has been launched as part of the proposed special incentives to encourage women entrepreneurs. 
 
Spread over 300 acres of government allotted land, the tech park will clock another first as it will be planned and designed by women architects and women contractors will take care of the construction as well. 
 
According to K Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary of Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Karnataka, the idea behind the state government wanting to create an exclusive tech park for women was to give women <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=entrepreneurs&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">entrepreneurs</a> a much needed platform. 
 
He further added that the state government’s commerce and industries department has already received 56 applications over the past weeks from women entrepreneurs who have expressed a desire to set up shop at the park. 
 
He sees the park as a golden opportunity for women entrepreneurs who are in a rented facility and want to expand. 
 
Once completed, the park which has garnered a proposed investment of approximately Rs 135 crores will provide employment opportunities to about 2800 persons. 
 
There’s more. As it turns out, international girls such as Toyota, Ikea and Walmart have already expressed an interest in the park and this is evidence to the success the initiative has in store in the future. 
 
The tech park is proposed to be up and running by November 2016.

"Is it a battle worth fighting or a mountain worth climbing?" Case said. It's your job, as the presenter, to convince the audience that the answer is yes.<h2>Tell them why they should care now </h2>Every presentation should emphasize why now is the moment to care about your company, Case said. Magazines are making a surprising comeback in digital form

A college degree may <a href="http://www.bls.gov/emp/ep_chart_001.htm">up your chances of earning more money</a>, but you don't necessarily need one to be happy at work. 
Business Insider teamed up with <keyword id="6354910" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Careers">careers</keyword> site CareerBliss.com to find the 10 happiest jobs that don't require a four-year degree.
<a href="http://www.careerbliss.com/">CareerBliss</a> compiled the list using reviews submitted by professionals between October 2013 and October 2014.
Workers who reviewed their jobs were asked to rate them on 10 factors that affect work happiness on a five-point scale: relationship with their boss; relationship with their coworkers; workplace environment; job resources; compensation; growth opportunities; company culture; company reputation; daily tasks; and job control over the work performed on a daily basis. 
CareerBliss combined those numbers to find an average rating of overall happiness for each job - called a bliss score - and sorted the results by <keyword id="6355445" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Education">education</keyword> requirements to determine the happiest jobs that don't require a college degree.
Interestingly, entreprenuer came out on top.
"Many founders of today's most successful companies do not have college degrees and have found happiness and success," says Heidi Golledge, chief happiness officer of CareerBliss. "Many of our users at CareerBliss have a day job that covers their bills, and they spend nights and weekends building their own company for extra money, doing something they love and that makes them happy."

The hamburger's creator, Professor <keyword id="692531" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Mark-Post">Mark Post</keyword> of Maastricht University, believes that so-called <keyword id="1795465" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Cultured-Beef">Cultured Beef</keyword> could solve the coming <keyword id="6181" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Food">food</keyword> crisis and help combat climate change. 
There are also ethical concerns about how factory-farmed animals are treated. 
"When you see how these cows are treated, it's certainly something I'm not comfortable with," Brin said in a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdMQND4TPqM#at=354" target="_blank">film sponsored by the Cultured Beef project</a>. 
That's why the billionaire Internet entreprenuer backed the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/an-unknown-diner-will-taste-the-worlds-first-lab-grown-burger-2013-7">€250,000 ($331,200) project</a>.
"Some people think this is <keyword id="41551" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="science">science</keyword> fiction," Brin said. "I actually think that's a good thing. If what you're doing is not seen by people as science fiction, it's not transformative enough."
