Bhansali turns writer for sister, yet again

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Leslie Jordan died in a car crash Monday morning. He was 67 years old. </li><li>He reportedly crashed his car into the side of a building in Hollywood, the LA Times reported. </li></ul><p>Actor and comedian Leslie Jordan has reportedly died following a car crash Monday morning, <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2022-10-24/comedian-and-actor-leslie-jordan-dies-after-car-crash-at-age-67">according to the LA Times</a>. </p><p>The "Will and Grace" actor appeared to drive his car into the side of a building Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street in Hollywood at 9:30 a.m, the LA Times reported.</p><p>Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 67 years old. </p><p>"The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan," a statement from Jordan's representative shared with Insider said. "Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times."</p><p>The statement continued: "What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner, and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today."</p><p>The LA Times reported that it is not clear whether Jordan's cause of death was the car crash or whether he had a medical emergency just before the crash. Based on the condition of the car, it appears as though Jordan lost control of the vehicle before he crashed. </p><p>A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the details of the crash to Insider but was unable to verify the driver's identity. </p><p>Jordan is most well-known for his roles in "American Horror Story" and "Will &amp; Grace," winning an Emmy for the latter in 2006. The actor played Beverly Leslie — a wealthy socialite friend of Karen's (Megan Mullally) — during seasons eight and nine of the hit NBC sitcom. </p><p>In addition to his roles on "American Horror Story" and "Will &amp; Grace," Jordan also appeared on numerous other TV shows, including "Ally McBeal," "Ugly Betty," "Reba," "Nash Bridges," and "Call Me Kat."</p><p>While he's perhaps most well-known for his roles on the small screen, Jordan acted in plenty of films, including "The Help," throughout his career as well. His most recent role was as a radio journalist in the 2021 film "The United States vs. Billie Holiday," directed by Lee Daniels. </p><p>Jordan was <a href="https://www.chattanoogan.com/2022/10/24/458125/Well-Known-Actor-From-Chattanooga.aspx">born in Chattanooga, Tennessee</a> in 1955. He began his career with a <a href="https://www.vulture.com/2022/10/leslie-jordan-dead-67-car-crash.html">small role on the TV show "The Fall Guy,"</a> and earned his <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2022-10-24/comedian-and-actor-leslie-jordan-dies-after-car-crash-at-age-67">first major break</a> when he was cast on the first season of "Murphy Brown" in 1989. Jordan then moved on to projects like "American Horror Story," "Hearts Afire," and "The Cool Kids." </p><p>During the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, Jordan <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2022-10-24/comedian-and-actor-leslie-jordan-dies-after-car-crash-at-age-67">became known for his hilarious and heartwarming videos</a>, which he posted to Instagram twice a day for over two months. In the short videos, Jordan weighed in on current moments in pop culture, and shared things that brought him joy (including his sticker collection) with followers. </p><p>Fox Entertianment said in a statement that the company was "shocked and devastated" by Jordan's death.</p><p>"Leslie was far more than an Emmy Award winning comedic talent with whom we've laughed alongside for all these years," the statement said. "He was the kindest person you could ever imagine who simply lit up a room and brought pure joy and huge smiles to millions of people around the world."</p><p>"The truest of Southern Gentlemen, Leslie carried an infectious exuberance, indelible sense of humor and, throughout, gifted us with countless fond memories that will last forever," the statement continued. The video, which was shot with Magic Leap's hardware, features C3PO and R2D2 in a normal looking office talking and moving around.&#xa0;</p><p>But the characters don't look like holograms, they look incredibly real. &#xa0;</p><p>"Reality is a dial...and you can turn that dial and shrink reality," said John Gaeta of ILMxLab. Huh</span></p><p class="caption">The PlayStation 4.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Sony has created a new US-based company for its PlayStation business by merging Sony Computer Entertianment and Sony Network Entertainment, <a href="http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/160126a_e.html">according to a press release</a>. </p><p>The new business, Sony Interactive Entertainment, will be based in California and will be run by Andrew House, a long-time Sony executive who who helped launch the PlayStation. </p><p>The new business will establish offices in Toyko and London later on in 2016. </p><p>"By integrating the strengths of PlayStation's hardware, software, content and network operations, SIE will become an even stronger entity, with a clear objective to further accelerate the growth of the PlayStation business," said House. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-01-26/sony-brings-playstation-and-network-services-under-one-roof">According to Bloomberg</a>, Sony has forecasted game sales of around $14 billion (£9.8 billion) in the year ending March 2016, almost all of which comes from PlayStation titles. </p><p>However, the gaming landscape is changing. "Network and games have practically the same user base and off-line games are no longer the driving force of the market," said Amir Anvarzadeh, a manager of Japanese equity sales at BGC Partners, in a research note emailed to Bloomberg. The new unit, Anvarzadeh said, will help weather this change.</p><p>The PlayStation has been one of Sony's most successful products, selling <a href="http://www.wired.com/2016/01/sony-interactive-entertainment/">over 35 million units</a> since 2013.
