Polling began amid tight security arrangements for 94 assembly constituencies in 17 districts of Bihar from 7 am on Tuesday for the second phase of assembly elections. Foolproof security arrangements have been made for voting as well as to ensure that social distancing norms are in place in the times of a pandemic. According to <keyword id="2953599" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="the-State-Election-Commission">the state election commission</keyword>, more than 2.85 crore voters will exercise their franchise in the second phase. As many as 41,362 polling booths have been set up in this phase. According to <keyword id="1247430" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Election-Commission">the Election Commission</keyword>, the fate of 1,463 candidates will be decided in this phase. The Maharajganj assembly constituency has the highest number of 27 candidates in the fray while just four candidates are in the fray at the Darauli assembly constituency. In most assembly constituencies, voters will be able to exercise their franchise from 7 am to 6 pm, while the window is curtailed from 7 am to 4 pm in some sensitive constituencies. Security forces have been deployed at all polling booths. In Bihar, elections are being held in three phases for 243 assembly seats. The election for the first phase was held for 71 seats on October 28. Polling for the third phase will be held for 78 seats on November 7. Counting of votes will be held on November 10. Bihar Election 2020: Polling begins for 94 seats in Bihar amid tight security

New Delhi, While voting for the Assembly election is underway in the national capital, a polling officer posted at Babarpur Assembly constituency died on Saturday. Confirming the news of the death of the polling officer, Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ranbir Singh told IANS, "Yes, one of our polling officers, number 3, Udham Singh passed away this morning." Babarpur constituency is situated in northeast Delhi. According to the poll panel officials, Singh passed away after a cardiac arrest. A poll officer said that Singh, a teacher, was deployed for election duty at an MCD primary school in Babarpur Assembly constituency and in the morning he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. "Around 6.30 a.m. he was taken to GTB hospital where he was declared dead," the poll officer said. "However, the real cause of his death will be ascertained by the doctors. His body has been sent for autopsy," the official said. Voting for the 70-member Assembly is underway in Delhi where the ruling AAP, BJP and Congress are in a direct fight against each other. Counting of votes will take place on February 11.

<ul><li><keyword id="6358992" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-Police">Delhi Police</keyword> seeks government help to ensure smooth polling on Feb 8. </li><li><keyword id="8732492" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jungli-Ram-Pahalwan-Stadium">Jungli Ram Pahalwan Stadium</keyword> to be turned into a temporary jail to detain protestors. </li><li>Three incidents of open firing in a week has been reported in the capital. </li></ul>Delhi Police has sought <a href="https://twitter.com/SanjayBragta/status/1225344087961657345?s=20">permission </a>from the government to turn Jungli Ram Pahalwan Stadium, Kanjhawala into a temporary jail for protestors on polling day. If the Delhi government gives a nod, the sports stadium in Nizampur area might be used to detain protestors en masse. The police claim that these protestors could cause unrest during the polling session on Feb 8 in Delhi. As of now, the police arrested 15 protestors and registered three cases against mobs. The capital has been simmering since the Parliament passed the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/news/what-is-citizenship-bill-and-how-does-it-affect-religious-freedom-in-india/articleshow/72362487.cms">citizen amendment act</a> (CAA). Students and citizens alike have been protesting for three months now. As many as 62 police personnel and 127 persons, including 36 students, were injured during the incident, a <a href="https://theleaflet.in/jamia-violence-a-total-of-15-people-arrested-by-delhi-police/">report</a> said. The Union Home Ministry on Feb 4 also informed the Lok Sabha that Delhi Police registered three cases against the mob. The cases pertain to unlawful activities like damaging public property while protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) around Jamia Millia University. Moreover, the unrest has taken a dangerous turn in the last few weeks. Gun wielding people who are either protestors or supporters of CAA have been threatening law and order in the city. Two cases of firing have been reported near tense areas like Jawaharlal Nehru University and Shaheen Baag, in broad daylight. On Feb 3, two unidentified people also opened fire outside Jamia Millia Islamia University. This was the third such incident within a week and though no injuries were reported, Delhi citizens might be on the edge on polling day. It is just not Delhi that is experiencing the heatwaves of CAA but <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/up-police-files-fir-against-135-arrests-20-anti-caa-protests-azamgarh-1643795-2020-02-06">UP police</a> too registered an FIR against 135 people for allegedly protesting in Bilariaganj area in Azamgarh. Out of this, they named 35 people and the rest are unidentified. The police superintendent Triveni Singh <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/up-police-files-fir-against-135-arrests-20-anti-caa-protests-azamgarh-1643795-2020-02-06">said </a>the protest was led by Tahir Madni, general secretary of Ulema Council national, who was also arrested on February 6. The anti CAA protesters in Azamgarh were using foul language against Hindus and PM Narendra Modi, he alleged. Delhi Elections: Delhi Police wants to turn a stadium into prison to lock down protestors on polling day

<keyword id="1226078" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Republican-presidential">Republican Presidential</keyword> nominee, <keyword id="6354484" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Donald-Trump">Donald Trump</keyword>, has once again, raked up the H-1B visa debate in his election campaign. He alleged various organizations are bringing low wage workers from different nations on work visas and has vowed to secure employment for Americans. 
 
"Many mothers across this country are worried their kids won't find jobs, and they are right to be worried. One of the biggest threats is outsourcing jobs for college-educated kids are being sent to other countries," the 70-year-old reality TV star told cheering supporters in Cincinnati, Ohio. 
 
"At the same time, companies are importing low-wage workers on H-1B visas to take jobs from young college-trained Americans… We will protect these jobs for Americans," said Trump. 
 
The H-1B visa issue holds prime importance for the Indian IT sector, which sends highest number of Indians to the US. 
 
H-1B and outsourcing were Trump’s favorite and most frequent campaign issues during his primary season earlier this spring and summer. It went absent from his key election issue till the election rally in Ohio. 
 
Trump, as he was pledged to protect jobs for Americans, said that, during the rally he along with his team will have to make sure that the Americans who have graduated college can find a good job. 
 
He also said that his economic plan will create 25 million new job openings and will also allow the private sector to grow at four per cent per year. 
 
"This includes reforms to protect and expand the sharing economy - startups like Uber - that have managed to provide great services to consumers, and create lots of jobs in the process," he added. 
 
 
"Finally, and most importantly, the foundation for a new prosperity will be a re-dedication to the constitutional rule of law," Trump added.
