According to the company, GT 120 has been designed and built indigenously with a combination of pioneering design, intuitive/ AI-enabled technology and safety features. "With our complete range of products, we aim to cater to the vast needs of our enthusiast customers by providing an electrifying experience with uncompromised features and unmatched style. We believe our motorbikes will be a game changer in the electric mobility segment," Raghav Kalra, Founder, Ignitron Motocorp, said in a statement. The bike aims to offer a superior EV experience that not only redefines the identity for electric sports mobility but also comes with environment-friendly technology. The GT 120 comes with a 4.68 kWH Lithium-ion battery that can churn out a top speed of 125km/h with a range of 180 km. The bike offers features such as Geo locate/Geo fencing, battery status, USB charging, Bluetooth, Key less ignition (remote control) and digital cluster. The battery is fixed due to its size and weight, weather proof and touch-safe, provides a back up of 4-5 hours with 100 per cent charging and comes with 15 amp fast home charger. The bike delivers acceleration of 0-40 km/h in 2.5 seconds. It features three riding modes - Eco, Normal and Sport, each suiting the riding style and needs of the rider. The motorbike is also equipped with reverse mode and parking assist along with multiple sounds. It comes with Telescopic Forks up-front and a fully-adjustable mono shock at the rear to give an exclusive riding experience. Twenty percent to 80% happened in 28 minutes. <h2>Minivan spaciousness and comfort</h2><div type="image" title="The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5." height="2000" width="3000" msid="90625820" hostid="261"></div>"It feels like a minivan," one friend said when I had him sit shotgun in the Ioniq 5. While that's admittedly a little strong, the Hyundai does indeed feel way bigger on the inside than you'd expect from a compact SUV. Since Hyundai wasn't constrained by a big combustion engine or a bulky transmission, it was able to free up tons of space in the Ioniq's cabin. The Ioniq 5 is no exception. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive tester I had is rated at 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. In Sport mode, it shoots forward with a force that's almost nauseating if you (like me) overdo it. But that doesn't make it any less useful. Seeing my speed, cruise-control settings, and other key data right on the windshield meant I rarely had to take my eyes off the road. The head-up display even indicates if there's a car in the Ioniq's blind spot — an amazingly helpful feature more vehicles should offer.

They are demanding more sustainable products, faster service and less <keyword id="1820144" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="plastic-pollution">plastic pollution</keyword>. Indian companies have responded by onboarding a dedicated full-time resources to prioritise sustainability and social responsibility, developing purposeful strategies and even by embedding sustainability and purpose into their overall B2C communication. However, due to COVID-19 and the resultant global demand for safe disposable solutions, the issue of plastic pollution has compounded. One of the least studied and underreported generators of plastic are e-commerce companies. E-commerce packaging often comes in layers of plastic, bubble wrap, tape, air packets, paper and cartons and it has contributed a lot to India’s landfill waste. It has to be bulkier than usual to protect the product throughout the journey to avoid any damage. With the festive season upon us, e-commerce packaging is at an all-time high. Earlier this month, e-commerce giant Flipkart announced that it has eliminated all single-use plastic packaging used across its fulfillment centres in India. On the logistics front, Flipkart currently operates close to 1000 electric 3-wheelers and 2-wheelers and aims to completely transition to electric vehicles by 2030. We spoke to Mahesh Pratap Singh, Head of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, Flipkart to find out how the home-grown company is working towards substantially reducing its carbon footprint to help build a greener future. He further shared how Flipkart is in process of creating a consolidated sustainability policy. Excerpts: <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Q. The pandemic has only further strengthened our resolve to ensure that as a company we continue to evolve in the most sustainable manner possible to ensure long term trust and value for all our communities. Flipkart has been very meticulously driving its sustainability initiatives across electrification of its fleet, waste management and increasing the use of renewable energy and elimination of single-use plastic. In line with this, we doubled down on our sustainability initiatives and made a pledge to eliminate single-use plastic packaging from our own supply chain, which we achieved last month (July 2021). In our journey, we have been incorporating the circularity approach of 5R’s (Reduce|Reuse|Recycle|Refurbish|Regenerate) where possible. Throughout our warehouses and logistics operations we have been implementing packaging optimization and creating national standards on packaging materials to reduce waste in our supply chain, promote reusable and recyclable materials, and work with close to 70 brands on removing additional layers of packaging. We have also partnered with Canopy on their Pack4Good initiative to promote the use of forestry certified and responsibly managed pulp and paper across our packaging initiatives. In addition to this, we have also filed for patents for 2 ply wrap, which is a replacement for bubble wrap) and for security paper bags made from virgin Kraft paper. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Q. At Flipkart, we believe in ensuring that we continue to democratize all aspects of the business we are in, and sustainability is no exception. With e-commerce becoming an important part of our lives to meet our evolving requirements, instilling the principles of sustainability into our business operations is imperative. Given the uncertainty that the world is currently facing, as a business the more we have incorporated sustainability it has resulted in business constructs that ensure innovation, affordability, availability and long-term success and value for the entire business. The last one and a half years under the shadows of the pandemic brought in a different side of businesses where they have stepped up to take care of not just their own but the entire ecosystem. This has been an encouraging shift where sustainability conversations are no longer just powered by individual actions and passion projects but have the support of the entire leadership structure. Where did you start and how did you get to where you are now?</cmsannotation> As we look at creating a responsible value chain, some of the initiatives currently being implemented are: Packaging: We have eliminated single-use plastic in packaging arising from our warehouses and currently 100% of shipments from Flipkart's own warehouses use alternative materials for the outer layer of packaging. We are also working with our sellers to influence and help them reduce reliance on single-use plastics for their packaging needs in instances where sellers make their own packaging decisions. As we move forward, we are also working with brands that sell on Flipkart on reinforcing the primary packaging to be storing enough to withstand e-commerce logistics thereby eliminating the need for a secondary layer altogether. Our ambition is to take this project to 40% of our packaging by 2023. We continue to pilot and scale a range of different solutions to fit all our shipping requirements in order to reduce our downstream carbon footprint. As we look for alternative materials, we are also ensuring that we do not create an adverse impact on the forestry landscape and only source from responsibly managed forests. Mobility: In 2020, we signed up for the EV100 commitment to completely transition to electric vehicles in our logistics fleet by 2030 and introduce 25,000 EVs in our delivery fleet. In less than a year of this commitment, we currently operate close to 1000 electric 3-wheelers and 2-wheelers in our last-mile fleet. Operations: As part of our extended producer's responsibility (EPR) across plastic waste and e-waste, we currently recycle 100% of the plastic being used at our warehouses and liquidate all our e-waste through certified Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs). We also ensure the use of energy efficient lighting across our facilities and operate close to 30 ISO 14001 facilities. We are also working with all our facilities to ensure proper waste management and water management. Infrastructure: We currently have our entire energy load across 4 strategic facilities being met entirely by solar power and continue to set up rooftop solar across all facilities to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation. We are also ensuring that any new construction that Flipkart undertakes meets the Indian Green Building principles. Products &amp; Sourcing: As we look for opportunities across our value chain, we have also tried to ensure that the manner in which we source our products is also sustainable. We are now incorporating sustainable materials, recycled fabrics and responsibly sourced rayon and viscose for all our in-house brands. We are in the process of creating a consolidated sustainability policy and a defined approach to climate change mitigation which looks at innovation and technologies to reduce our environmental impact across the value chain. We are still far from done across the business but as we continue to partner across the sustainability community, the support we have received has been immense. We believe that sustainability is a common goal, and it is important to develop a culture that encourages participation of stakeholders, including employees, and enables continuous learning and action towards achieving sustainability goals. Flipkart has been conducting a series of workshops and awareness activities, including webinars on adopting zero waste practices; upcycling and reusing old products; the importance of biodiversity, and more for thousands of our employees. It has exposed the dangers of a linear waste-making business model and underlined the importance of reducing our carbon footprint. The role of corporations in creating resilient and sustainable communities is vital. Data suggests that companies that manage their ESG (Environmental Social and Governance) goals well are outperforming other businesses. So, it is important for businesses to learn how to build resilience, prepare themselves for risks, and build resilience within the communities they work with. At Flipkart, environmental sustainability is deeply embedded in our DNA and we are committed to fostering sustainable practices across our business and value chain and lay deep emphasis on both environmental sustainability and social responsibility. We have been very meticulously driving our sustainability initiatives across electrification of our fleet, reducing wastage and tapping renewable energy and elimination of single-use plastic. What started as a one-of-its-kind initiative for Flipkart a few years ago has transformed into an organisation-wide motive where multiple stakeholders both within and outside the org came together to build a sustainable supply chain. We are also working with our seller community and other stakeholders in the ecosystem to understand how it can best implement new innovations to bring sustainability in their operations. We have made tremendous progress in achieving its sustainability targets that are spread across various categories and will further our initiatives to offer the benefits of e-commerce to customers in a sustainable manner.

Greater Noida, Feb 5 () Homegrown auto major Mahindra &amp; Mahindra on Wednesday introduced electric variant of its compact SUV KUV100 at starting price of Rs 8.25 lakh (ex showroon Delhi post FAME benefits) at Auto Expo here. The company claims that electric KUV 100 (eKUV 100) is India's most affordable passenger electric vehicle in the segmen. eKUV100 offers peak power output of 40kW, torque of 120 Nm and a range of 147 km, ideal for city commuters. It comes with automatic transmission and could be fast charged to 80 per cent within 60 minutes. Besides, the company showcased e-XUV300, which is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2021 to strengthen its position in the EV segment. The company, part of USD 20.7 billion Mahindra group has also showcased Aton, a new age urban mobility solution and Funster, a roadster electric concept with convertible rooftop. "It is our firm belief that shared mobility would drive large scale adoption of electric vehicles and hence our product offerings would continue to redefine shared mobility space. We intend to offer widest range of vehicles to meet the needs of shared mobility, " said Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Managing Director Pawan Goenka here. He further said " affordability" is the guiding principle of the company in EV category. Speaking on e-KUV 100, he said it was an ideal vehicle for shared mobility and personal mobility. Sharing the details of e-KUV 100, Mahindra's Head of Electric Vehicle Development Ashish Malik said it would give the thrill of driving an SUV and eco-friendly feeling at the same time. " It comes with a city friendly motor of 15.9 KV, which is perfect for city commute. It delivers power of 40 kw and torque of 120 Nm. The range is almost 150 km," he said. It can be fast charged to 80 per cent in 55 minutes. "It comes with a liquid cool battery pack and also offers the convenience and comfort of auto transmission and many connected car features as pre cool and switch it off and on remotely or even digital connected features which would be revealed at the launch," said Malik. While talking about eXUV300, Goenka said, "it would be launched in the second half of 2021." The eXUV300 is powered by a powerful motor and a large battery capacity ensures a long range. It has a new futuristic design with new features, smart and premium interiors with blue highlights to accentuate the new character of this SUV. It has been built on a platform that has 5-star safety rating from GNCAP. According to Goenka, the company has invested around Rs 1,700 crore on development of electric vehicles which includes technology, infrastructure and products. "Right now we are investing another Rs 500 crore to set up a new R&amp;D centre at Bengaluru and a new capacity which we are setting at Pune," he said. Goenka further said shared mobility would be the driver of growth as it would be commercially viable. "I do believe that in EV in India the primary segment for drive the growth would be shared mobility. The reason is that the EV would be commercially viable. They have to be driven 150 to 200 km in a day which cannot happen in personal use mobility," he said adding " that is the reason Mahindra is focussing on shared mobility before we get into vehicle like eKUV 100 or eXUV 300." The company also has plans to launch Treo.4 of its first lithium battery based three-wheeler auto. "This will have everything locally manufactured except lithium cell," he said adding "it would be coming out very soon". On the future of electric three-wheelers, he said: I wouldn't be surprised if in 3 to 5 years 50 per cent three-wheelers sold in India are electric three-wheelers." While talking about Funster, Goenka said it was designed at the company's own design studio at Mumbai. Funster offers an output of 230 kW with a top speed of 200 kmph, clocking 0 to 100 kmph in 5 seconds. The car replaces multiple basic controls in the pursuit to be more connected to the driver, like switching out the steering wheel and pedals for an interactive joystick-like controller on the center console. Here's what it's like inside the symbiotic concept.Inside the AVTR, the car comes to life when the driver puts their hand on the central control pad. The device is used by drivers to accelerate, brake, and turn the car. The pad itself vibrates and pulsates like a heartbeat in order to mimic a living, breathing animal. Instead of a dashboard or infotainment screen, the front of the cabin features one giant curved display module that projects real-time footage of the road ahead. You can even choose for it to light up with 3D graphics of Pandora, the fictional world from the 2009 film "Avatar." In order to access the car's different features, take your hand off the center pad, and a menu of controls is projected onto your palm that you can cycle through with gestures.The car's body uses Mercedes' same one-bow design, like many of the automaker's other <keyword id="87931" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Concept-cars">concept cars</keyword>, but features a massive windshield and entirely transparent doors. This is a car you're gonna want to dress your best for. Its most distinct feature is the 33 bionic flaps on the rear of the car. These flaps move and light up in different colors to indicate when the vehicle is accelerating, braking, or turning.Despite being a show car, the AVTR is no slouch on the road. The all-electric concept features four motors, one at each wheel, that together make a combined 469 horsepower. Its battery also manages a total driving range of up to 435 miles. The car's spherical wheels combined with two independently moving axles allow it to crab-walk sideways at a 30-degree angle, both a neat party trick and potentially useful for certain driving situations that require squeezing through some very tight spaces.The AVTR's battery cell takes eco-friendly to another level. Unlike modern EV batteries made from toxic metals like lithium and cobalt, this concept's battery is graphene-based, making it recyclable through composting. The battery also has a high-energy density, making it capable of being fully charged in 15 minutes. It's good for the environment and convenient for drivers, but still requires a lot of research before this technology is applied to modern <keyword id="20632" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Cars">cars</keyword>. And while we don't expect anything close to this car in the near, or even distant future, some influencers got a chance to test-drive the concept earlier this year for the first time.

It takes an impairment any time that Bitcoin’s price falls during the quarter. This means that even if Bitcoin’s price manages to climb back up, Tesla doesn’t just get to mark the value of its holdings back up. And, the only way it can register a gain is by actually selling the Bitcoin it holds. From an accounting point of view, $90 million is not a huge loss. But, it would be embarrassing for Musk’s influencer narrative. "He's an expert in defining the mission, communicating the mission, and getting your employees to buy into that mission," said Crowley Redding, who has researched Musk for four years. "You're not going to work for an Elon Musk company and sit back, come in, and clock in, clock out. You are going to work harder than you've ever worked in your whole life because the stakes are so high." Embracing this mindset has driven Musk's hiring decisions and what he demands of his workers. "There are clearly things that he's doing that most people are not going to be able to get away with in their normal, day-to-day careers," Higgins said. What makes Musk so engaging — and bulletproof — is his authenticity, said Crowley Redding. Musk has built a reputation for being unapologetically himself, something few image-conscious CEOs can pull off. For instance, she noted how Musk's responses in interviews don't appear to be pre-written. She also noted that CEOs shouldn't replicate some of the more wild things Musk has said and done (like his recent <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1517707521343082496">tweet</a> comparing Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to a pregnant man), but said it wouldn't hurt most executives to be a bit more off-the-cuff to seem more relatable. "CEOs often focus on projecting confidence and perfection and poise at the expense of identifying the problem they're trying to solve and working to solve the problem," Crowley Redding said. Many times, that means he breaks the rules or veers from convention — for better or worse — Crowley Redding said.While breaking the rules has been a driver of innovation at his companies, it's also led Musk to become ensnared in a number of messy, public legal battles. Musk currently faces <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2022/04/12/sec-elon-musk-twitter-00024667">SEC</a> trouble over potential securities-law violations for filing notice of his ownership stake in Twitter later than required. In 2017, the <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2019/9/27/20887897/tesla-elon-musk-tweets-union-nlrb-illegal">National Labor Relations Board</a> found him guilty of breaking labor laws for his tweets threatening employees over unionization efforts. "He has a tendency to be reckless," Harvard Business School's Yoffie said. Musk also breaks some of the rules regarding how leaders should treat employees. "He has a very good eye for hiring talent, but the problem over time has been he doesn't always listen to that talent and he burns through them very quickly," Higgins said. "They leave either because they've given up on him, they've burned out on him, or he's burned out on them." "It's a culture in which, if you don't have a solution to a problem and you don't have that problem resolved within a few days or a week or two, you're gone." Yoffie likened Musk's leadership style to the late Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs, who was said to have been <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/steve-jobs-jerk-2011-10">unkind</a> to employees on multiple occasions.
