Strong tremors of an earthquake were felt across Delhi NCR at 04:35 pm. Offices across the cities saw employees rushing out and gathering on the road. The epicentre of the earthquake is reported to be Northern Pakistan. Tremors have been felt in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu region. Pakistan state of Peshawar, Islamabad, Indian Meteorological Department has confirmed that the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.3 on richter scale. Earthquake tremors felt in North India at 4:35 pm today, epicentre in Northern Pakistan

The Union home ministry's disaster management experts have issued a warning of bigger earthquakes, with a magnitude of 8.2 or more, hitting the already ruptured Himalayan region. 
 
The Northeastern Indian state of Manipur was struck by a high magnitude quake on Monday, and more of these are likely to rock the region. 
 
The tectonic shift in this region has already caused a series of high-magnitude earthquakes, with Manipur (6.7, Jan 2016), Nepal (7.3, May 2015) and Sikkim 6.9 (2011), in the past few years. This has also led to conditions that might cause multiple huge earthquakes in the coming future. 
 
In a conversation with TOI, NIDM director Santosh Kumar said that the interconnected plates across Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and India pose a bigger danger to the region. He also predicted a disaster of bigger magnitude that awaits hill states and parts of Bihar, UP and even Delhi. All these states fall under the second worst seismic Zone IV classification, while the North-East and other hill states fall under severe seismic Zone V. 
 
Kumar also said the Centre has taken measures to sensitise the governments so that all hill states adopt a common building code, which is different from the rest of India. 
 
Factually speaking, India is divided into four seismic zones. While the most active Zone V comprises of the whole of north-east along with parts of north Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, J&amp;K, Gujarat and Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands, Delhi comes under Zone IV and is considered to be prone to high-magnitude quakes.

In this case, the flat owner would only need to insure the personal contents within their home. “In case the building isn’t insured, then one can buy a cover individually as well to protect the structures of their flat,” says Chaturvedi. He remains incommunicado, and his wife gets worried. She sets out in his search, and arrives at the hot-seat of India’s democratic fable New Delhi. The Delhi of wide roads, smaller by lanes, Parliament or Rashtrapati Bhavan is not her Delhi. She is here as a sole unit. With her daughter and her goat in tow. They will return only if the father is found. But, where to find him in a city which is known for its goblin-isque nature? 
 
The wife played by Gitanjali Thapa, and the role of the husband played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui make for a stunning performance and such a heartrending show of poverty and alienation by class and geography. 
 
However, it could just be a coincidence that Lixin Fan made a film on similar theme few years ago, and held the attention of the audience on issues of Chinese migrants into ‘developing China’ cities. The Last Train Home told a story that was strikingly similar, if not the same as Liar’s Dice.
