Doug Ducey on Sunday slammed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake for her repeated claims that the <keyword id="12175515" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="2020-presidential-election" source="Orion">2020 presidential election</keyword> was stolen.</p><p>During an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," the two-term governor said that Lake — who is <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-endorsed-az-governor-candidate-who-wants-him-on-mount-rushmore-2021-9">backed</a> by former President Donald Trump — was being dishonest with voters and said her allegations about the election were an "act."</p><p>"Kari Lake is misleading voters with no evidence," he said. "She's been tagged by her opponents with a nickname, 'Fake Lake,' which seems to be sticking and actually doing some damage. <keyword id="14479895" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="karrin-taylor-robson" source="Orion">Karrin Taylor Robson</keyword> started from zero and now this is a margin-of-error race."</p><p>Ducey, who is term-limited and cannot seek reelection this year, has diverged from Trump and endorsed one of Lake's GOP primary challengers, Karrin Taylor Robson, a lawyer and former member of the Arizona Board of Regents.</p><p>The governor called Robinson "the real conservative" in the Republican contest and praised her for having "pro-gun" and "pro-life" positions.</p><p>"I think Karrin Taylor Robson will be the best person to be a fresh new leader for the state of Arizona," he said during the interview. "Her opponent, on the other hand, bears no resemblance — her campaign or even her personal interactions with me — to anything she's done over the past 30 years."</p><p>"This is all an act. She's been putting on a show for some time now, and we'll see if the voters of Arizona buy it," he added.</p><p>In the 2020 presidential election, which saw now-President Joe Biden narrowly <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/young-latino-educated-voters-helped-biden-flip-arizona-trump-election-2020-11">win</a> Arizona over Trump, Ducey rejected the former president's entreaties to block the certification of the election results.</p><p>Lake, who was formerly a television journalist, rose to prominence in the Republican race as a candidate who embraced Trump's election claims, even <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-lawsuits-election-results-2020-11">without</a> verifiable evidence of mass fraud.</p><p>An audit of the results from Maricopa County, Ariz., <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/leaked-documents-show-arizona-audit-confirms-bidens-win-over-trump-2021-9">conducted</a> by the firm Cyber Ninjas last year reaffirmed that Biden carried the state's largest county.</p><p>But Lake has continued to feed into unproven theories about the election.</p><p>In late June, Lake needled Robson after she declined to raise her hand during a PBS Republican gubernatorial debate when the candidates were asked if the 2020 election was "corrupt" and "stolen."</p><p>"Only one #AZGOV <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/AZGOV?src=hashtag_click"></a>Candidate REFUSED to raise her hand: Karrin Taylor Robson. Disqualifying," she <a href="https://twitter.com/KariLake/status/1542305663275044864">tweeted</a>.</p><p>Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, the frontrunner for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, has sought to use Lake's views on the election to depict the Republican as outside the political mainstream in the increasingly purple state.</p><p>"Voting in Arizona has started, and Trump is rallying voters again for his favorite Big Lie advocate @KariLake," she <a href="https://twitter.com/katiehobbs/status/1545206973477502977">tweeted</a> earlier this month. "Anyone who wants sanity over chaos, make sure your voice is heard too."</p><p>The party primaries will be held on August 2.</p>

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>The Federal Aviation Administration announced this week that navigational coordinate points with references to Donald Trump will be renamed.</p><p>According to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/10/travel/faa-to-drop-donald-trump-related-navigation-codes.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&amp;smid=nytcore-iphone-share&amp;_r=0" target="_blank">New York Times' </a><span data-byline-name="Karen Schwartz"><a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/10/travel/faa-to-drop-donald-trump-related-navigation-codes.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&amp;smid=nytcore-iphone-share&amp;_r=0" target="_blank">Karen Schwartz</a>, the FAA believes the real estate mogul turned political candidate is too controversial a figure to associated with the agency. </span></p><p>Three navigational points near Palm Beach International Airport in Florida designated DONLD, TRMMP, and UFIRD will be renamed.</p><p>It is unclear if a fourth navigational point - IVNKA - named after Trump's daughter Ivanka will be changed. </p><p><span>In fact, pilots flying northeast out of Palm Beach International can take what is known as "IVNKA departure." </span></p><p><span>Taking that route, the flight will pass over the navigational points that form the sentence: "You're fired Donald Trump."</span></p><p><span>The FAA is the latest organization to sever ties with Trump after he made a series of derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants in a campaign speech. </span></p><p><span>Macy's and NBC both ended their respective relationships with the Republican presidential candidate. </span></p><p><span>According to the Times, the Trump-related navigational coordinates were proposed by a retired air traffic controller.</span></p><p><span>Navigational points are commonly named after celebrities or well known local entities. Coordinate points heading into San Francisco feature references to the Grateful Dead while those over Orlando are named for Disney characters.
