The Gujarat based stationery and office supplies maker Doms will open its ₹1,200 crore initial public offer (IPO) on December 13 and close on December 15. It has fixed a price band of ₹750-790 per share. The grey market is bullish on the public offer, as it expects 52% listing gains from the stock. The issue is a combination of fresh equity to the tune of ₹350 crore and offer for sale component is at around ₹850 crore. The company intends to use net proceeds from the fresh issue to set-up a new manufacturing facility in addition to general corporate purposes. As much as 10% of the issue will be offered for retail investors, and the bid lot is 18 shares and in multiples thereof. About the company The Gujarat-based company was set-up in 1973 as a partnership firm, RR Industries by founders — late Rasiklal Amritlal Raveshia and late Mansukhlal Jamnadas Rajani. After a long series of changes it built its brand ‘Doms’ under which it now sells scholastic stationery, art material, paper stationery, office supplies and more. It had around 12% market share in branded stationery and art materials market in FY23. Its core products such as pencils and ‘mathematical instrument boxes’ enjoy 29% and 30% market share by value in FY23, as per Technopak Report. Its products are manufactured in Umbergaon at Gujarat and Bari Brahma in Jammu and Kashmir. As on March 31, 2023, it had seven warehouses, two depots, over 100 super stockists, and over 3,750 distributors across the country. Its listed peers in the market are <keyword id="1889881" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="kokuyo-camlin" source="Orion">Kokuyo Camlin</keyword>, <keyword id="19741385" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="linc-and-pidilite-industries" source="Orion">Linc and Pidilite Industries</keyword>. Financial performance &amp; risk factors Its revenue from operations grew at a CAGR of 73.45% from FY21 to FY23. Its EBITDA margin more than doubled from 7.45% to 15.4% over FY21 to FY23, the company said in its DRHP. How easy or difficult was it to come onto this project in the middle of it? How amenable were you to suggestions and input from the cast, some of whom have been doing this for 20 years? Vin Diesel is very hands-on and close to the mythology. These guys — Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez — know their characters inside and out. Was it intimidating at all?It's completely intimidating. To correct one little thing you said. I didn't rewrite the script. I was just making it my own. I was trying to understand the scope.Also, one thing that happened is we lost the location for the third act. That's one thing that I had to reconceive. I would've never gotten on this plane had the script not been great. What Justin and Dan Mazeau had created was really great and it's basically the shape that it's in now.The input from the actors is so important. Frankly, I was looking forward to the input from the actors because it's: Where are they now? What do they want? I'm two years behind them, at least, not knowing all the stories and the ideas that they had before. So I was like, "OK, Where's Dom Toretto now? Tell me, Vin. Where is Letty? Tell me, Michelle."Frankly, as a director, I'm not a painter. I'm not a sculptor. I need a crew and a cast to make my movies. And although I'm very proud and I'll proudly say that this is my movie and every movie I've made is very representative of my vision, it's a collective vision.There needs to be one director that people follow, but it all stems from trust and trust comes from dialogue. Communication is key in life and on set. So that's what we did. That was my first thing of going to them and sitting down and just having long conversations. I was literally listening to them... I think it's important to do that.As you said, it's a lifetime for them. It's a lifetime of going deep, deep, deep, deep into the character. So this third act that you reworked, is that the ending that we see now in the movie? Or did that wind up changing again? No. It's the ending. The movie is my vision.Obviously, you write the third act and then you have to tweak the first act and the second act and everything. And then, having had no prep at all, I couldn't expose my vision to the studio. There was no time.So, what you see in the movie is very much my instinctive vision for what I wanted. There's been no compromise and to prove to you that that's the case, there's like half a scene on the cutting room floor of people coming onto a plane.We did zero pickups. Zero re-shoots. We did some additional stuff, the additional stuff that you saw at the end of the movie. But we never reshot a scene. So the stuff we were capturing on set was working. <h2>'Fast Five' footage with Paul Walker was reviewed to create the opening flashback</h2><div type="image" title="Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in &quot;Fast Five.&quot;" height="1204" width="2794" msid="100379854" hostid="261" sizebytes="68996"></div>We revisit the epic heist from the end of "Fast Five" with Diesel and Walker at the start of this film. Some of those scenes are obviously new with Momoa. Do you know if any of the "Fast Five" shots are from unused footage?Yes. So we reshot some stuff on 35-millimeter with the same cameras. We also went into the archives and looked at all the dailies. So there was a lot of stuff that you haven't seen before.We reinterpreted the chase through a different point of view, through the Reyes' point of view, so Dom and Brian are the bad guys in our story at the beginning of the movie.That was exciting. That was also very emotional because I was watching dailies with, young Vin and young Paul and then obviously they were Brian and Dom between "action and cut," but I could see their interaction as friends before and after. That was really amazing to see. Really, really emotional.<h2>The Han and Deckard confrontation was originally 'shorter and different' </h2><div type="image" title="Han's hair in Fast X" height="907" width="1200" msid="100379856" hostid="261" sizebytes="21024"></div>Fans have waited for that Han and Deckard Shaw scene for years, waiting to see "<a href="https://www.insider.com/fast-and-furious-shaw-inspired-justice-for-han-return-2021-9">Justice for Han</a>" after it was <a href="https://www.insider.com/fast-9-end-credits-scene-explained">teased at the end of "Fast 9."</a> The scene we receive is a little bit shorter than, at least, what I expected. Was that moment between the two ever longer or a bit different?I don't know if it was longer or different, but, yeah, it's evolved. It was actually shorter and different. Obviously, Jason Statham and I have a long history together because we did "Transporters," so I've known him for a long, long time. Then I fell in love with Sung Kang.So, I was just wanting to put this scene on a pedestal. But, "Justice for Han," I don't think it's one scene. It's a full story arc. So it's just the beginning.<h2>Gisele's return was considered 'for years'</h2><div type="image" title="han gisele fast 6 " height="547" width="1215" msid="100379858" hostid="261" sizebytes="23216"></div>I asked Sung Kang years ago what he views as "Justice for Han." He said that <a href="https://www.insider.com/sung-kang-wants-gisele-alive-fast-and-furious-2021-9">may include Gisele returning</a>. Is there anything you can say about what went into bringing her back? I know everything that went into it and obviously, it's not just a phone call of like, "Would you like to come in?" It's proper storytelling planning, something that has been thought of for years and frankly, yeah, that could also be part of that "Justice for Han" story. There's going to be so many surprises in this one and the next one. Ultimately, we love our audience. We love our franchise. To have a fan directing these movies, it's amazing because I get to bring on-screen everything that I've wanted to see for years.I heard you because I was in the audience with you, and now I'm together with the crew and everyone in the cast and making these decisions. Hopefully, we're making the right decisions.The ending will truly surprise you in the greatest way. You'll be satisfied, but be like, I would've never expected this franchise to end here.<h2>They really covered a metal ball in flaming gasoline and set it loose in Rome</h2><div type="image" title="A scene from &quot;Fast X.&quot;" height="1251" width="3000" msid="100379860" hostid="261" sizebytes="133668"></div>There are so many big action sequences in this film. Is there one action sequence you're especially proud of that fans may be shocked to learn is practically shot and not just visual effects?We really rolled <a href="https://www.insider.com/fast-x-rolled-1-ton-metal-ball-through-rome-2023-5">a one-ton metal ball</a> covered in just gasoline, flaming gasoline down the streets of Rome. And we had Dom's car trying to stop it. That was done for real. The cars exploding were done for real. Some of the shots that you're like, "Oh wow. This looks like a CG shot — because it was 10 years ago when we couldn't, when the cameras were a different size and then the equipment was a different size.Pulling the cameras in and out of the cars while they're moving, chasing them, seeing the actors behind the wheel and then connecting them — having Vin do a 180 in front of an exploding bomb and then finishing on a closeup with him, that's all done for real. It's a bunch of real elements put together.But yeah, there's no CG there. I mean, obviously, we didn't blow up a giant bomb in Rome. That's CG. But just the cars flipping and Dom, all of that was done for real and it shows. If you can keep 75% of your image real, the audience knows it. We do it for real. Even more practicality in the next one.<h2>The cliffhanger was written into the movie when Leterrier joined 'Fast X.' He knows where the 'Fast Saga' ends.</h2><div type="image" title="Dom and his son in &quot;Fast X.&quot;" height="1180" width="2828" msid="100379862" hostid="261" sizebytes="56014"></div>I wasn't expecting this movie to end with lives hanging in the balance. What can you say about what went into the decision to break at this point and place almost all of the "Fast" fam in harm's way?Story. Let's really go to the end of the franchise and then make our way backward. So that's what we did.If and when you see it again, there are many, many, many instances that are prepping you for this very end, or at least what's going to evolve. Listen to everything that's being said. Every line. Every prop. Stuff I cut away to. We asked a physicist to break down the realism of 11 'Fast and Furious' movie stunts

The thoughts expressed are those of the author.</li></ul>In the corner office of a nondescript office building in northern Virginia, President Donald Trump's new campaign manager, Bill Stepien, stares at a spreadsheet. What it tells him, in its "Matrix"-like way, is that he is presiding over the worst <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-14/trump-campaign-slashes-ad-spending-in-key-states-in-cash-crunch">campaign-finance fiasco</a> in American political history.Trump launched his reelection effort the same day he was sworn in, January 20, 2017. In the last three-plus years, the campaign has raised and spent nearly <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/08/21/trumps-reelection-effort-has-officially-spent-more-than-1-billion-record-sum-this-point-campaign/">$1 billion</a>. One. Billion. Dollars. And now, with six weeks to Election Day, Team Trump finds itself robbing Peter to pay Paul.How did the reelection campaign of a sitting president end up in this position? Let's run it down.<h2>Money, money, money</h2>Anyone who has run a national campaign knows that the first thing you do every morning and the last thing you do every night is <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/05/20/858347477/money-tracker-how-much-trump-and-biden-have-raised-in-the-2020-election">know your cash-on-hand position</a>: what's in the bank, what needs to be paid, what is expected to come in that day, week, and month. Without this information, or at least a general sense of it, it is impossible to craft a coherent campaign strategy and its accompanying tactics.Once something the size and scope of a presidential campaign starts, the cash register begins running and never stops. All the overhead — the offices, the employees, the computers, the consultants — has to be paid for.Missing payroll on a campaign is tantamount to a death sentence as staff begins screaming to the rafters about paychecks and leaking like a sieve (something Team Trump contends with anyway).In short, running low on cash is just about the biggest worry for any presidential campaign.<h2>Spending (a lot of) money to make (not enough) money</h2>Given the importance of cash, it's no surprise that the former Trump campaign chief Brad Parscale <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/08/21/trumps-reelection-effort-has-officially-spent-more-than-1-billion-record-sum-this-point-campaign/">touted</a> his ability to raise massive amounts of money online.On any given day, Trump's committee sends a half-dozen email appeals and runs countless Facebook ads churning dollars through its account. However, the Trump campaign's "cost of funds," the term for how much it takes to raise a dollar, is about 60%. To put it another way, out of every dollar Trump raises, his campaign takes home about $0.40.This tells us two things. First, the campaign is having to spend more money and more time targeting more first-time donors to get dollars in the door. Second, with the massive amount of spending, someone within the campaign's <keyword id="60356" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="fundraising">fundraising</keyword> apparatus may as well be driving a Ferrari to a restaurant to dine on lobster tails while sipping Dom Pérignon.And based on the most recent reports, things are grim. The Trump campaign and its affiliates are now trailing <keyword id="99719" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Joe-Biden">Joe Biden</keyword>'s campaign and its affiliates in cash on hand <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/09/21/915301313/biden-enters-campaigns-final-stretch-with-cash-advantage-over-trump">by roughly $100 million</a>. The main Biden campaign's monthly fundraising has also <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/05/20/858347477/money-tracker-how-much-trump-and-biden-have-raised-in-the-2020-election">soared past Trump's</a>.<h2>Where did all that money go?</h2>Forensic accountants could spend their entire careers trying to figure out how Trump and his campaign spent $1 billion. It's not much of a surprise that so much of the cash disappeared. Trump and his family business are known for both <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/20/trump-businesses-empire-tied-presidency-100496">self-enrichment</a> and wasting other people's money. His campaign is incidental to the fundraising.In addition to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/07/us/politics/bloomberg-trump-super-bowl-ad.html">vanity ads</a>, it has been widely reported that Parscale controls <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/07/us/politics/trump-election-campaign-fundraising.html">several limited-liability corporations, or LLCs</a>, into which massive amounts of money have been funneled. Given the (bipartisan) nature of how the Federal Election Commission tracks contributions and expenditures, nothing below a prime vendor is publicly reportable. Once it hit Brad's bank account, the money could have gone anywhere and to anyone.<h2>What does it mean now?</h2>Regardless of the details of where the money ended up, the worsening cash state of the operation means one thing: Trump's campaign is imploding.With less than 50 days to go, Trump's reelection campaign is <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-14/trump-campaign-slashes-ad-spending-in-key-states-in-cash-crunch">lagging behind in its advertising</a> compared with Biden's campaign and his allied groups. Biden, whose universe raised nearly $400 million in August alone, will be flush and therefore have far more strategic flexibility than Trump.And Biden will be on <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/09/15/912663101/biden-is-outspending-trump-on-tv-and-just-6-states-are-the-focus-of-the-campaign">television</a>, everywhere, all the time. Trump's campaign, however, will be hard-pressed to decide where to spend its comparatively meager resources. It will spend more for each commercial in each market as it places its buys later and later to conserve operating capital.Indeed, on a daily basis, the press is reporting that the Trump campaign is <a href="https://www.azmirror.com/2020/09/04/trump-campaign-going-dark-in-arizona-cancels-planned-tv-blitz/">pulling its media buys</a> in target states like Arizona and Ohio. It can't afford them. And unlike most of the rest of the world, local television stations still require cash up front before running a campaign's ads; they know better. Cash-poor campaigns are happy to stiff vendors (<a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trumps-business-plan-left-a-trail-of-unpaid-bills-1465504454">sounds like Trump</a>, by the way) to keep moving forward.It is no accident that Trump is traveling and doing <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/14/us/politics/trump-rally.html">rallies</a> like Bob Dole in the last 24 hours of 1996. Given his campaign's cash position, the only way for the president to drive attention is to be on the stump as often as he can be, saying things he knows will drive press coverage regardless of how insane they sound (and are).The mystery of Trump's billion-dollar debacle will not be solved anytime soon. There are too many hands out, too many <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-paying-sons-significant-others-180000-a-year-2020-4">mouths at the trough</a>, and too much downside for anything but the conspiracy of silence on Trump's campaign finances to win out. What is known, though, is that once again the president has put himself — by necessity this time — in the middle of his own campaign. It will be his increasingly <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/16/politics/donald-trump-town-hall/index.html">disturbing and erratic words</a> and deeds that keep him top of mind for Americans. Trump's campaign blew almost $1 billion, and now it's in deep trouble

That's been most evident in recent weeks when much of the chatter in Hollywood has been about the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/star-wars-han-solo-movie-directors-phil-lord-christopher-miller-fired-2017-6">shocking firing</a> of 'Star Wars' directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller from the untitled Han Solo movie over creative differences with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy (Ron Howard has since been <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/ron-howard-taking-over-han-solo-movie-2017-6">brought on</a> to complete the movie). With so much at stake for a studio, the day-to-day job of a director isn't easy. They're the one who has to shoulder the burden of pulling off the (often times) short production schedule, all the while doing it in a way that satisfies his or her own creative impulses and appeases the high-powered cast, producers, and studio heads. And on top of it all, they're on the hook for the ticket sales of a movie expected to rake in a whole lot of money at the box office. Many have pulled it off (and been paid handsomely for it). But there are definite scares that pop up during the process of making a film.Following the success of "Furious 7," the 2015 hit from Universal's profitable "Fast and the Furious" franchise that earned over <a href="http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=fast7.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">$1.5 billion worldwide</a> at the box office, director James Wan declined the studio's offer to return for the eighth movie in the popular franchise, "The Fate of the Furious." According to <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/furious-8-stuck-at-starting-826489" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Hollywood Reporter</a>, one reason Wan passed was because the two-year production on "Furious 7" was so daunting (and included late rewrites following the death of franchise star Paul Walker) that it compromised Wan's health. F. Gary Gray ("Straight Outta Compton," "The Italian Job") signed on to direct "The Fate of the Furious," and the movie went on to earn over <a href="http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=furious8.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">$1.2 billion worldwide</a> and is currently the <a href="http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/chart/?yr=2017&amp;p=.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">fifth-highest grossing movie of 2017 domestically</a> ($225.4 million).Gray is sucking in the accolades. He now has the distinction of being the first black filmmaker to make a $1 billion movie, and he's even getting a <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/23/entertainment/hollywood-walk-fame-2018/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame</a> next year. But he'll be the first to tell you that making "Fate of the Furious" wasn't easy, and at times he certainly felt the pressure of the franchise pushing down on him. UniversalDwayne "The Rock" Johnson in "The Fate of the Furious.""It's kind of a schizophrenic thing," Gray told Business Insider. "When you create you don't want to be influenced by that. But in those waking, sobering moments you're like 'Oh, s---! This movie has to perform!' Especially given the performance of the last few. Then you take that hat off and jump back into creative mode. I let the creativity influence me. I don't allow the numbers to influence me but I would be lying if I said it doesn't pinch you every once in a while, while you're in the process of making a movie. You have to acknowledge that it has to do business in order to be successful." But then there's also managing the egos that come with a blockbuster. Gray walked into a franchise that was already showing signs of unrest, and it hit a breaking point for two of its stars in the middle of production on "Fate of the Furious." Last August, during his final week of shooting, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a star in the franchise since 2011's "Fast Five," <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/the-rock-calls-out-fast-8-male-costars-2016-8">took to Facebook</a> to call out some of his male costars for being "candy a--es," writing that some don't "conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals." It turned out Johnson was calling out the franchise's main star and producer, Vin Diesel. There had been rumors for years since Diesel rejoined the franchise, after a two-film hiatus with 2009's "Fast &amp; Furious," that he was a distraction on set.Though some felt the whole thing was a publicity stunt, the proof is in the movie. Johnson and Diesel are literally never on screen at the same time. The storyline of Diesel's Dom character going rogue on his "family" made it easier for them to be apart, as Johnson's Hobbs character spends most of the movie trying to track down Dom while Dom is seemingly doing evil acts with the movie's villain, Cipher (Charlize Theron). But at the end of the movie when they all reunite, it's almost comical how the shots are positioned so it's not evident that neither star is present at the rooftop gathering at the same time.UniversalVin Diesel in "The Fate of the Furious."It's certainly something Gray had to navigate, through he won't divulge how much. "I really can't," Gray said, when asked to comment on the feud. "First, because I'm a professional. It's something I will always steer everyone to Dwayne and Vin. When you make a movie on this level, with this size, it's so massive. You're taking about four continents, seven different units, and in some cases being filmed simultaneously. Hundreds of millions of dollars at stake. It's going to be a challenge. And everyone has their process. So I can't judge them. I'm very, very proud of the movie. And I hope they are, too. In terms of just their process, I don't have much to say. I'm happy we made it to the other side." Now the question becomes where Gray goes from here. The "Fast and Furious" franchise certainly isn't done yet. Is he up for another movie?"Who knows what the future holds," Gray said, noting that he's currently focused on getting his production company off the ground. "I can say right now at this very second, I'm happy with 'Fate of the Furious.' I'm very happy with that movie. That's the one I poured my life and heart into and anything above and beyond that, who knows."
