By the time MI managed to get their first breakthrough in the tenth over, the asking rate was well under five runs per over. If anything that could have bothered <keyword id="836840" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="the-knights">the Knights</keyword> from there on was some quick wickets but that didn’t happen. MI spinners failed to get any purchase ruling out any chance of a comeback. 
 
Williamson top scored for NK with a 36-ball 53 before being snared by Jasprit Bumrah in the 13th over but it was all too late in the day as <keyword id="1731187" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Daryl-Mitchell">Daryl Mitchell</keyword> and Scott Styris completed the formalities with 16 balls to spare. 
 
Earlier, poor shot selection and another top-order crumble crippled MI's chances of making it to the main draw as NK kept the Champions League Twenty20 holders to 132/9. Had it not been some useful contributions from the likes of skipper <a href="http://www.gocricket.com/player/Kieron-Adrian-Pollard/10001/10060">Kieron Pollard</a> and tailenders Lasith Malinga (20 off eight balls) and Shreyas Gopal (24 off 12), MI would have struggled to get to the total they finally managed to.

It was the pressure created by the Knights' opening bowlers, Tim Southee and <keyword id="835484" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Trent-Boult">Trent Boult</keyword>, that stifled MI's big-hitting batsmen who were forced to make mistakes. Southee and Boult maintained a nagging line to restrict MI to just 20 runs in their first four overs. The duo kept up the pressure for most of the innings, conceding just 45 runs between them in their eight overs and taking four wickets, three of which were to Southee. 
 
The flow of wickets meant that MI were always under pressure to get up their run rate. Knights were excellent in the field, adding to the chokehold that Styris applied with his canny stump-to-stump seam-up deliveries. Williamson pulled off a brilliant catch, diving in front at short cover to get rid of Jalaj Saxena in the sixth over which gave Styris his first wicket, and the veteran allrounder removed Lendl Simmons in the next over. The MI opener paid the price of forcing himself too early in the shot while trying to cut a straight delivery that crashed into the stumps. Trying to make room for a late cut, Aditya Tare nicked to wicketkeeper Bradley Watling, and Styris bowed out with superb bowling figures of 4-0-21-3, a performance which earned him the Man of the Match award. 
 <keyword id="13880" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mumbai-Indians">Mumbai Indians</keyword> had lost half of their side by the 11th over with not even 50 runs on the scoreboard. Pollard managed to salvage some pride with a 24-ball 31 and Malinga and Gopal swung their bats in the last couple overs, but MI needed something exceptional to stop Knights from bolting into the main stage of the CLT20 but that did not happen.

Indian states that offer the best beach experience

<keyword id="2573" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="air-india" source="Orion">Air India</keyword> has put together a "huge financing deal" related to its new fleet in a remarkably quick time, according to its chief <keyword id="5863894" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="campbell-wilson" source="Orion">Campbell Wilson</keyword>. On February 14, Air India announced a historic order for buying 470 aircraft, including 250 from Airbus and 220 from <keyword id="6357957" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="boeing" source="Orion">Boeing</keyword>. Besides, there is an option to buy another 370 planes from the two plane makers. It was also the first time in more than 17 years that Air India, which was taken over by <keyword id="6355725" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tata-group" source="Orion">Tata Group</keyword> from the government in January last year, placed orders for new planes. In his weekly message to the staff on Friday, Wilson said he wants to commend "the commercial, strategic procurement, finance, treasury and legal teams for successfully putting together a huge financing deal related to our new fleet in remarkably quick time...it was another historic achievement for the new Air India". Specific details could not be immediately ascertained. Wilson, in an interview with PTI last month, said that a lot of money is being invested in the airline. "<keyword id="10439307" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tata-group-air-india" source="Orion">Tata Group Air India</keyword> has invested at a list price of USD 70 billion for the 470 aircraft. That is with the explicit purpose of providing more services, especially international connectivity. We ultimately do that for many reasons and one reason is that we get economic returns from that investment. "I think, if the traffic is siphoned off throughout the places, just makes it more and more difficult for us to have non-stop services and ultimately, customer loses as they will not have any option of non-stop service," he had said. The response was to a query related to bilateral flying rights. The order for 470 planes comprises 40 Airbus A350s, 20 Boeing 787s and 10 Boeing 777-9s wide-body aircraft as well as 210 Airbus A320/321 Neos and 190 Boeing 737 MAX single-aisle aircraft. In the message, Wilson -- CEO and Managing Director -- also mentioned the diversion of the AI 173 Mumbai-San Francisco flight this week and about the handling of the situation. He said it was a "team Air India effort". Air India puts together 'huge financing deal' for new fleet: CEO

But, the adversity has turned out to be an advantage for some. For instance, those summoned in connection with the investigation into loans and kickbacks by Yes Bank are having a field day. Indiabulls chairman Sameer Gehlaut and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation’s (DHFL) Dheeraj Wadhawan and Kapil Wadhawan — who are being investigated <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/business/story/health-is-priority-yes-bank-investigation-hits-coronavirus-roadblock-1657220-2020-03-19">refused to appear before the ED citing coronavirus outbreak</a>. This is a part of an investigation into the bank’s founder Rana Kapoor, who is already in custody.

 The law enforcement agency was probing if Gehlaut paid ₹685 crore to Kapoor as a trade off for Yes Bank loan. However, Gehlaut said that he had left for the UK even before the orders to appear before ED were given. Given the current situation — the health emergency due to the pandemic — he conveyed that he will not be able to be a part of it. Wadhawan says that he is at high risk to get infected due to age and health Wadhawans, on the other hand, too managed to escape ED’s radar. It is alleged that the Yes Bank invested ₹3,700 crore in DHFL. In return, Kapil Wadhavan of DHFL gave ₹600 crore fund as loan to DoIT Urban Ventures, a company held by Kapoor’s daughters. Kapil Wadhawan has been untraceable since March 9, when CBI raided his place. And now says that he won’t appear for the investigation due to the pandemic. "In the current environment of the Coronavirus, it is a government directive to curtail travel,” he said. “Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, and with my already-compromised health and age, I am at high risk, and consequently, for my own health and safety, it is difficult for me to travel to Mumbai. I would request you to appreciate that in today's circumstances in the country, health is a priority,” Dheeraj Wadhawan <a href="https://www.businesstoday.in/current/economy-politics/yes-bank-case-dhfl-promoters-refuse-to-appear-for-questioning-cite-coronavirus/story/398518.html">said</a>. This is despite the fact that they have been summoned thrice to appear before ED. Dheeraj and Kapil Wadhawan were<a href="https://theprint.in/india/health-is-priority-dhfl-promoters-cite-coronavirus-to-avoid-facing-ed-in-yes-bank-case/382956/"> first issued summons on March 10</a> by the ED to appear on March 13. But, they did not appear — after which the summons were issued again on March 16. “They have been issued summons, but they are not cooperating and did not appear before the ED. Efforts are being made to locate them,” TOI reported citing sources. Meanwhile, Anil Ambani is likely to appear before the ED official today. In all, the ED has issued 18 summons to corporate houses so far — including the key investors in Yes Bank. Coronavirus outbreak hampers Yes Bank investigation — DHFL’s Wadhawans and Indiabulls’ Gehlaut refuse to appear before ED

In terms of ambition, the Champions League T20 was to be the perfect tool to showcase, and popularise, franchise cricket. It was modelled on the UEFA Champions League, with clubs from cricketing nations teaming up for a short T20 event. But into its sixth edition, it hasn't delivered on the promise front. From September 13, however, up until October 4, the disappointments of the England tour will be forgotten, and cricket's shortest format will once again drum up the entertainment before the home season in India gets under way. 
 
In many ways, the timeframe set apart for the Champions League is about perfect for a T20 competition. The IPL lasts two months; back-to-back games in the middle of the Indian summer making it an annual TV soap opera. The expectancy of home advantage is less; teams from South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand make it a more global event, and the chance to see several international players, who could soon be seen being snapped up by several franchises in next year's IPL. The Champions League then is the IPL's poorer cousin, but the unpredictable nature of the competition could make it for interesting viewing. 
 
Chhattisgarh's Raipur International Cricket Stadium will host the six qualifiers featuring Lahore Lions (Pakistan), Mumbai Indians (India), Northern Knights (New Zealand) and Southern Express (Sri Lanka), before the main league kicks off with games scheduled in Hyderabad, Mohali and Bangalore.
