<ul><li><keyword id="1985091" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="dogecoin">Dogecoin</keyword> has seen a 10-time increase in its prices over the last one month.</li><li>This has caused a massive surge in traffic on <keyword id="6672551" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="wazirx">WazirX</keyword>, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in India, resulting in transaction failures and delays in orders.</li><li>While the company says the issue has been fixed, users continue to report issues.</li></ul>The Dogecoin frenzy has left one of India’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges panting for breath, with its users posting on social media about transaction delays, payment failures and their money getting stuck. The company pointed out that its servers are being overwhelmed by traffic caused by massive demand for Dogecoin. “Doge’s sudden price movement has caused a massive surge in our traffic. We’re seeing more than a 1000% spike in concurrent users,” it said. In a statement to Business Insider, WazirX’s Chief Executive Officer Nishcal Shetty pointed out that the issue was caused due to a system error. “Today, one of our systems - on detecting the high traffic - wrongly marked it as bad traffic and started blocking the requests. It was good traffic, and this error caused our users to have intermittent access to the app,” he said, explaining the cause of the problems faced by its users. He clarified that the issue was not caused due to server overload – instead, it was a system-side error. Non-residents undertaking <keyword id="96567" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Transactions">transactions</keyword> with Indian parties will trigger taxability under the domestic law in India even if they do not have physical presence in the country and operate digitised businesses. The <keyword id="121964" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Board-of-Direct-Taxes">Central Board of Direct Taxes</keyword> has notified new rules for operation of business by non-residents under which any transaction over ₹2 crore (apex $27,100) in respect of any goods, services or property carried out by them with any person in India including provision of download of data or software in India, will attract tax in India. The provisions of <keyword id="6704918" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Significant-Economic-Presence">Significant Economic Presence</keyword> (SEP) that becomes the base for taxability of non-residents in India will also apply if the number of users with whom systematic and <keyword id="11211538" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="continuous-business-activities">continuous business activities</keyword> are solicited (or who are engaged in interactions) exceeds 3 lakhs. The provisions of Significant Economic Presence (SEP) were introduced in the legislation in 2018 with an intent to tax non-residents operating digitised businesses which function without a physical presence. It meant that SEP of a non-resident in India shall constitute a 'business connection' in India. These provisions were further amended vide Finance Act, 2020 which defined SEP as transaction in respect of any goods, services or property carried out by a non-resident with any person in India including provision of download of data or software in India, if the aggregate of payments arising from such transaction or transactions during the year exceeds a threshold or systematic and continuous soliciting of business activities or engaging in interaction with a defined number of users in India. The new provisions are applicable with effect from Financial Year 2021-22. It had become fully functional now with <keyword id="128665" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="CBDT">CBDT</keyword> notifying the thresholds for triggering SEP and consequently tax liability in India. According to PwC, the Central government has now made it clear that economic presence in India by non-residents is not limited only to the physical presence in India but also includes a virtual establishment. But non-residents could offset the taxability under these provisions by exploring taking relief under Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements. Non-residents will have to pay tax in India if transactions exceed ₹2 crore

As per the revised guidelines, the patient should be clinically assigned a mild/asymptomatic case by the treating Medical Officer."The asymptomatic cases are laboratory confirmed cases not experiencing any symptoms and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94 per cent. Clinically assigned <keyword id="9271864" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="mild-cases">mild cases</keyword> are patients with upper respiratory tract symptoms (and/or fever) without shortness of breath and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94 per cent are recommended for home isolation," the revised guidelines said. It said that a caregiver should be available to provide care on a 24x7 basis and a communication link between the caregiver and hospital is a prerequisite for the entire duration of home isolation.Elderly patients aged more than 60 years and those with co-morbid conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung/liver/ kidney disease, cerebro-vascular disease shall only be allowed home isolation after proper evaluation by the treating medical officer. Talking about treatment protocols, the revised guideline said, "Patients must be in communication with a treating physician and promptly report in case of any deterioration. COVID-19: No tests needed for mild or asymptomatic patients under home isolation after 10 days, says health ministry

Total income in 2020-21 came in at ₹28,149,68 crore as compared to ₹27,841.81 crore in 2019-20. During fourth quarter of 2020-21, Adani Power, along with the power plants of its subsidiaries achieved an Average Plant Load Factor (PLF or capacity utilisation) of 59.6 pe cent, and aggregate sales volumes of 14.8 Billion Units (BU). In comparison, during the fourth quarter of 2019-20, Adani Power and its subsidiaries achieved an average PLF of 65.5 per cent and sales volume of 16.5 BU. Operating performance was affected due to lower merchant sales and grid backdown in various plants, as well as reserve, shutdown at <keyword id="48302" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Udupi">Udupi</keyword> due to higher penetration of renewables, the company said.
