<ul><li>Delhi High Court rules in favor of Discovery Communications India</li><li>Restrains <keyword id="8559454" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lex-Sportel-Vision">Lex Sportel Vision</keyword>, its promoter <keyword id="747795" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="RC-Venkateish">RC Venkateish</keyword> and CEO <keyword id="8672477" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="dilip-sharan">Dilip Sharan</keyword> from using Discovery’s trademark / brand DSPORT in any manner</li></ul> The Hon’ble High Court of Delhi granted an interim injunction in favor of Discovery Communications LLC, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific and Discovery Communications India by completely restraining Lex Sportel Vision Pvt. Ltd., RC Venkateish and Dilip Sharan, CEO of Lex Sportel, from using DSPORT in any manner whatsoever and specifically for marketing its own channel thereby using the goodwill of DSPORT. The interim injunction was granted against Lex Sportel, RC Venkatiesh and Dilip Sharan as in the past weeks they issued several communications in public causing confusion within the market and industry on the ownership of DSPORT. Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Rajput, Senior Vice President – Affiliate sales and Head of Sports Business, Discovery – South Asia, said, “Discovery has carried out business in this country for the past 25 years with utmost credibility and business ethics. We followed all processes despite multiple false accusations and are delighted that finally truth has prevailed. The interim injunction proves that prima facie case was made out in our favour that we own the brand DSPORT.” Earlier, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (DNAP), and Discovery Communication India (DCI), had terminated the relationship with third party service provider Lex Sportel Vision Private Ltd (Lex Sportel) and RC Venkateish with immediate effect (as on January 23, 2020) exercising their right under the provisions of the Term sheet, following material breaches of Law by Lex Sportel and Venkateish in providing services to DCIN and DNAP. Prior to that, DNAP and DCI issued Notices dated October 14, 2019 putting Lex Sportel and Venkateish on notice of four (4) months starting October 14, 2019 during which they were required to provide services in accordance with the Term sheet to DCI and DNAP.

Miracle of God The Indore-born singer hails from a family of musicians and artists, has no plans of slowing down. She has been singing for the last seven decades and famously claimed to sing until her last breath. Popularly known as didi or sister, Mangeshkar kicked off her music career with a Marathi song ‘NaachuYaa Gade, Khelu Saari Mani Haus Bhaari’ at the age of 13, five years before independence. Soon, her mellifluous voice mixed with talent brought her immense popularity also for being the singer who is “never off-key”. Famous actor Dilip Kumar once said that Latha’s voice is as spectacular as a God’s miracle. Her work spans across historic films like Mughal-E-Azam to popular hits like Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jaayenge, singing playback for actors from Madhubala to Kajal. For one, Bhosle broker Lata’s Guinness record as most recorded artist in the history of Indian music, which she held since 1974. In 2011, Bhosle took over the mantle. The rift first started when Asha married Ganpatrao Bhosle, a man 15 years older to her. Lata once claimed that Bhosle stopped the two sisters from meeting. However, the marriage ended in a divorce but Lata and Asha’s relationship remained strained. During Asha’s struggling times in the industry, Lata also disapproved of Asha’s relationship with music director O P Nayyar. So much so that Lata stopped singing for Nayyar altogether. Movie producer Singing is her first love, but Lata has many other talents too. She had composed music for Marathi movies but was too conscious of giving her name to it, and chose to keep it under wraps, under a pseudonym. But the secret came out when the movies she composed for won an award for Best Music, requiring her to receive the recognition on stage. She told the story in a book called ‘Lata in her own voice’, adding that she was too busy recording that she could not focus on composing. She had also produced three Hindi films and a Marathi film.
