Per Today Online, prosecutors have accused her of various offenses, including forcing five devotees to eat human feces as punishment.According to court documents seen by Today Online, Woo has also been accused of physically abusing a 43-year-old woman by allegedly stabbing the woman's forearm with a pair of scissors and using pliers to pull out one of the woman's teeth.Per the outlet, Woo also allegedly defrauded several people of millions of dollars by conning them into giving her money to purchase cows, claiming that the donations would help improve her victims' medical ailments.One of Woo's victims was a woman who gave her 350,000 Singapore dollars, or about $280,000, in 2012 to supposedly buy the animals, Today Online reported. Prosecutors said the woman also gave Woo around $1.7 million between 2013 and 2015 after Woo convinced her that the money was going into building a temple in India. Woo's case bears similarities to one involving <a href="https://www.insider.com/police-arrest-holy-man-followers-eat-feces-drink-urine-2022-5">a self-professed "holy man" in Thailand</a> who was arrested in May. Local media outlets reported that the 75-year-old cult leader had led a group whose members drank his urine and ate his feces. Police also said that they found around 11 corpses at his jungle campsite.

Texas megachurch preacher and Trump devotee says there is no 'credible religious argument' against COVID-19 vaccines

TTD's daily income was about Rs 5 crore, including interest on bank deposits, according to a news report by The Times of India. A part from the 'hundi' collections, TTD's coffers are filled by the sale of tickets, 'prasad', etc. 
 
"After demonetisation, we observed a dent of Rs 1-2 crore on many days. Now, we are looking at bridging the revenue gap without burdening devotees," TTD chairman Chadalavada Krishnamurthy told TOI. 
 
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chairman C Krishnamurthy said they were looking at a small hike in ticket prices at the Tirupati temple to offset the fall in revenue post-demonetisation. 
 
The proposal must first be cleared by the state government. Some time ago, TTD had proposed to increase the rates of tickets and 'prasad', but it was shot down by Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu. 
 
TTD tickets range from Rs 50 to Rs 5,000. Most devotees buy special darshan tickets for Rs 300. At least 2,000 devotees go for VIP darshan every day, shelling out Rs 500. "The revenue gap can be bridged with a mild hike in ticket rates or Rs 5 to Rs 10 raise for various seva," officials told TOI.

Traditionally held on the first day of Baishakh (mid-April), a sweet drink called <keyword id="1998477" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Pana">Pana</keyword> is made using fruits, card, milk, water and sugar/jaggery and bestowed as <keyword id="1998478" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Puja-offering">puja offering</keyword>. It is a significant day for the <keyword id="81001" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sikh-community">Sikh community</keyword> as well since they celebrate the day in honor of the 10th guru, <keyword id="138545" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Guru-Gobind-Singh">Guru Gobind Singh</keyword>, who did away with the <keyword id="6434481" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Caste-System">caste system</keyword>. Bestu Varas is held a day after the Festival of Lights, in the month of <keyword id="6376330" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kartik">Kartik</keyword> (October-November) and houses are splendidly decked up with <keyword id="5823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Flowers">flowers</keyword>, rangoli and torans (door hangings). Pujas are offered; New Year <keyword id="54214" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Fireworks">fireworks</keyword> are everywhere and gifts are generously exchanged. And one must not forget the festive food either, especially the delectable and traditional snacks of Gujarat such as <keyword id="107294" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="farsan">farsan</keyword>.

Hindu pilgrims flock to the confluence of the river Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati to bathe and wash away their sins and achieve salvation. Ten million pilgrims are said to have bathed in the river on the first day, with the entire event said to last 55 days.

One of the biggest spectacles of the festival is when naked Hindu holy men wearing marigold garlands and ash on their faces run to the river. <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-21006259">From the BBC: </a>
"The Kumbh Mela has its origins in Hindu mythology - many believe that when gods and demons fought over a pitcher of nectar, a few drops fell in the cities of Allahabad, Nasik, Ujjain and Haridwar - the four places where the Kumbh festival has been held for centuries."
On observing the festival, Mark Twain is reported to have written in "Following The Equator: A Journey Around The World":
"It is wonderful, the power of a faith like that, that can make multitudes upon multitudes of the old and weak and the young and frail enter without hesitation or complaint upon such incredible journeys and endure the resultant miseries without repining. It is done in love, or it is done in fear; I do not know which it is. No matter what the impulse is, the act born of it is beyond imagination, marvelous to our kind of people, the cold whites."
The Kumbh Mela itself takes place every twelve years, but the BBC says this year's festival is the Maha Kumbh Mela which occurs every 144 years and is determined based on astrological calculations.
The festival is said to cost authorities $210 million but will create $2.2 billion in revenue.
