New Delhi: Ethanol plants manufacturer Regreen-Excel <keyword id="23123526" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="epc-india-ltd" source="keywords">EPC India Ltd</keyword> has filed preliminary papers with capital markets regulator <keyword id="35210" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="SEBI" source="Orion">Sebi</keyword> to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The company's initial share-sale comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 350 crore and an offer-for-sale (<keyword id="19951016" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ofs" source="keywords">OFS</keyword>) of 1.14 crore equity shares by promoters, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). The company proposes to utilize the net proceeds from fresh issue for payment of debt, funding margin money requirements for the purpose of availing bank guarantees; and for general corporate purposes. Regreen-Excel EPCR is a technology-driven EPC company, engaged in designing, manufacturing and supplying ethanol plants. Over the years, the company has built end-to-end capabilities in setting up ethanol plants, across feedstocks such as molasses/ sugarcane syrup, grains or a combination thereof, which it to provide concept to commissioning solutions to their customers. Since the company's inception to July 15, 2024, it has executed 113 projects across various feedstocks, which consist of 53 molasses-based projects, 57 grains-based projects and three <keyword id="23123527" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="multi-feedstock" source="keywords">Multi Feedstock</keyword> projects. As of July 15, 2024, the company had an order book of 64 ongoing projects worth Rs 3,452 crore, which aggregate to over 10,000 kilo litres per day (<keyword id="23123525" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="klpd" source="keywords">KLPD</keyword>) of ethanol capacity. IIFL Securities and ICICI Securities are the book-running lead managers to the issue.

New Delhi, The BJP, the biggest beneficiary of electoral bonds with donations worth over Rs 6,000 crore in the last four years of the scheme, got funds from several corporates and individuals, including Megha Engineering, Future Gaming, and Reliance-linked <keyword id="21044437" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="qwik-supply" source="keywords">Qwik Supply</keyword>. Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering, which won several contracts for infrastructure projects, donated Rs 584 crore to the BJP, <keyword id="21047704" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="qwik-supply-rs" source="keywords">Qwik Supply Rs</keyword> 395 crore, and Future Gaming Rs 100 crore, according to data released by the Election Commission on Thursday. The BJP also got Rs 346 crore from Keventers Food Park, MKJ Enterprises and Madanlal Ltd -- three firms with the same <keyword id="19896626" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata" source="keywords">Kolkata</keyword> address, Vedanata contributed Rs 226 crore, and Haldia Energy Rs 81 crore. <keyword id="19919721" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="vedanta" source="keywords">Vedanta</keyword> was also a key contributor to the Congress with donations worth Rs 125 crore. Industrialist Lakshmi Mittal donated Rs 35 crore to the BJP in individual capacity, while several other individuals donated funds in the range of Rs 10-25 crore to the ruling party. The Election Commission made public a fresh data set of electoral bonds, including their alpha-numeric numbers that can help match their purchasers with the political parties that received the funds. Two separate lists of the donors and the recipients were published by the poll panel on its website after the details were submitted to it by the State Bank of India earlier in the day as per a Supreme Court order.

Analysts say that the hotel industry has been in a recovery zone ever since the opening up of the economy with resumption of international travels owing to social events and corporate events. “Leisure was the first segment to pick up during recovery; this hasn’t stalled or waned even after the economy opened up. International travel resumed as there were social events, corporate events and MICE. There is no slowdown in demand currently,” said the report. More boost from G20 events In spite of a good showing ever since the lockdowns ended, there is scope for more growth hereon, expect analysts. “We believe, on the high base that the sector is at, incremental demand and supply shall be in sync, normalising rate movements. Key upside could come from sustained demand for leisure travel, normalising international travel and events such as the <keyword id="42982" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="g20-summit" source="Orion">G20 summit</keyword>,” said the Nuvama report. Based on the G20 calendar, there are several events scheduled in March and April 2023 to be held in cities like Amritsar, Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Chennai, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam, Darjeeling, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kumarakom, Goa, Varanasi, and Bhubaneswar. The G20 holds annual summits where leaders from member countries gather to discuss global economic issues. India holds the G20 presidency this year. From a high base In fact, the strong performance of hotel companies in the December quarter reflects a strong uptick in demand. Gold rate today (3rd June 2024): Current gold prices in prominent Indian cities

New Delhi [India], June 19 (ANI): Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (<keyword id="6362419" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="HPCL" source="Orion">HPCL</keyword>), which is enhancing its footprints in the <keyword id="6354703" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="natural-gas" source="Orion">natural gas</keyword> market, on Monday said it has secured a major long-term contract from ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL) for the supply of natural gas. HPCL will supply natural gas to ONGC Petro additions Ltd's petrochemical complex at Dahej in Gujarat. OPaL, a joint venture of ONGC, GAIL and GSPC, requires natural gas for operating its own captive power plant for supporting its power and steam requirements. In a stock filing, HPCL said it has won the contract through competitive bidding against a tender floated by OPaL. "HPCL will be supplying 13.53 Trillion Btu of Natural Gas to OPaL during the period October 23 to May 26 under this contract," the filing said. HPCL has ambitions in the natural gas business and is focused to build a strong foothold in the petrochemical and fertilizer sectors. Further, HPCL informed stock it has entered into an agreement with Automin Car Services Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Petromin Corporation, Saudi Arabia to establish co-branded HP-Petromin Express vehicle service centres across India. Petromin is a leading mobility solutions player in automotive technology with more than 700 multi-brand quick-service outlets across the GCC region. "This strategic partnership aims to provide world-class customer experiences at affordable prices and offer a comprehensive range of solutions under one roof, including lube change, light repairs, periodic maintenance, battery replacements, tire services, air conditioning repairs and eco carwash facilities," it added. The co-branded HP-Petromin Express vehicle service centres will be located in HPCL's retail outlets in metros and other major cities across India. (ANI)

HPCL bags contract from OPaL for supply of natural gas

The government on Friday slapped an export tax on petrol, diesel and jet fuel (ATF) shipped overseas by firms like <keyword id="6487" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-industries-ltd" source="Orion">Reliance Industries Ltd</keyword>, and imposed a windfall tax on crude oil produced locally by companies such as <keyword id="6354737" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ongc" source="Orion">ONGC</keyword> and Vedanta Ltd. The government imposed a Rs 6 per litre tax on export of petrol and ATF and Rs 13 per litre tax on export of diesel, finance ministry notifications showed. Additionally, it levied a Rs 23,250 per tonne additional tax on crude oil produced domestically. The levy on crude, which follows record earnings by state-owned <keyword id="64243" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="oil-and-natural-gas-corporation" source="Orion">Oil and Natural Gas Corporation</keyword> (ONGC) and <keyword id="111992" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="oil-india-ltd" source="Orion">Oil India Ltd</keyword> (OIL) and private sector Cairn Oil &amp; Gas of Vedanta Ltd, alone will fetch the government Rs 67,425 crore annually on 29 million tonnes of crude oil produced domestically. The export tax follows oil refiners particularly <keyword id="6355199" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="reliance-industries" source="Orion">Reliance Industries</keyword> and Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy making a killing in exporting fuel to deficit regions such as Europe and the US in the aftermath of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The refiners are said to have processed Russian crude oil available at discount after it was shunned by the west, and exported fuel produced from it to Europe and the US. The restriction on export is also aimed at shoring up domestic supplies at petrol pumps, some of which had dried up in states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat as private refiners preferred exporting fuel than selling locally. Exports were preferred as retail petrol and diesel prices by dominant PSU retailers have been capped at rates way lower than cost. This meant that private retailers, who control less than 10 per cent of the market share, either sell fuel at loss or lose market share if they were to sell at higher cost. Reliance Industries, ONGC, Vedanta and others slapped with windfall, export tax on petroleum

New Delhi, Mar 28 (PTI) Petrol price on Monday was hiked by 30 paise a litre and diesel by 35 paise, taking the total increase in rates in the last one week to Rs 4-4.10 per litre. Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 99.41 per litre as against Rs 99.11 previously while diesel rates have gone up from Rs 90.42 per litre to Rs 90.77, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers. Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state depending upon the incidence of local taxation. This is the sixth increase in prices since the ending of a four-and-half-month long hiatus in rate revision on March 22. In the first four four occasions, prices were increased by 80 paise a litre - the steepest single-day rise since the daily price revision was introduced in June 2017. On Sunday, petrol price went up by 50 paise a litre and diesel by 55 paise. In all, petrol prices have gone up by Rs 4 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.10. Prices had been on a freeze since November 4 ahead of the assembly elections in states like <keyword id="6357713" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="uttar-pradesh" source="Orion">Uttar Pradesh</keyword> and Punjab -- a period during which the cost of raw material (crude oil) soared by about USD 30 per barrel. The rate revision was expected soon after counting of votes on March 10 but it was put off by a couple of weeks. The increase in retail price warranted from crude oil prices rising during the 137 day hiatus from around USD 82 per barrel to USD 120 is huge but state-owned fuel retailers <keyword id="6356834" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="indian-oil-corporation" source="Orion">Indian Oil Corporation</keyword> (IOC), <keyword id="155363" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="bharat-petroleum-corporation-ltd" source="Orion">Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd</keyword> (BPCL) and <keyword id="500127" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="hindustan-petroleum-corporation-ltd" source="Orion">Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd</keyword> (HPCL) are passing on the required increase in stages. Moody's Investors Services last week stated that state retailers together lost around USD 2.25 billion (Rs 19,000 crore) in revenue for keeping petrol and diesel prices on hold during the election period. Oil companies "will need to raise diesel prices by Rs 13.1-24.9 per litre and Rs 10.6-22.3 a litre on gasoline (petrol) at an underlying crude price of USD 100-120 per barrel," according to Kotak Institutional Equities. CRISIL Research said a Rs 9-12 per litre increase in retail price will be required for a full pass-through of an average USD 100 per barrel crude oil and Rs 15-20 a litre hike if the average crude oil price rises to USD 110-120. India is 85 per cent dependent on imports for meeting its oil needs and so retail rates adjust accordingly to the global movement.
