He said that we are creating environments where workers are trapped in a ‘pressure cooker’, referring to the convergence of long working hours, grueling commutes, and the isolation many young professionals experience after migrating from smaller towns. "You already have loneliness, long-commutes, stressful work condition. So, you are throwing people into a very big pressure cooker, and very tragically, some people break, other people are broken," he told PTI. Reflecting on his own experience, Vembu stressed the importance of pacing oneself in order to sustain a long and productive career. “I have been working for 27-28 years, and I hope to work for another 28 if possible. But to do that, I cannot allow myself, or my employees, to burn out,” he explained. He argued that companies prioritising short-term gains at the expense of their workers’ health are doomed to falter in the long run. <h2>What's the solution?</h2>Vembu’s advocacy for a healthier work culture is grounded in his broader vision for corporate India. A long-time proponent of decentralising business operations, he believes that one solution to the high-stress environment is to diversify away from major urban centres. “We bring young people from small towns into big cities, and their first challenge is loneliness. Then, they face commutes that can stretch up to two hours each way, particularly in cities like Bengaluru. It’s no surprise that many feel overwhelmed,” he said. The Zoho chief pointed out that by expanding operations into smaller towns and rural areas, companies can alleviate some of these pressures, allowing employees to stay closer to their homes and communities. This approach, he believes, not only reduces stress but also fosters a more sustainable, human-centric model of growth. While funds may not be breaking any records, it is the first time that Telos has leaned on marquee investors to bring in fresh capital — led by the co-founder of Code to Inspire, <keyword id="12493968" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="john-lilic" source="Orion">John Lilic</keyword>, who is also an investor in ConsenSys and Polygon. Telos is hedging against a possible ‘prolonged bear market’ with fresh investment from its first-ever marquee investors

But while most DEXs are run by the concept of automated market makers (<keyword id="306195" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="amm" source="Orion">AMM</keyword>), the <a href="https://dodoex.io/" data-type="tilCustomLink">DODO project</a> aims to take things a step further and change how DEXs work even before they become truly mainstream. It has over $5 million in funding and is backed by Binance, among others. DODO is a <keyword id="1337625" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dex" source="Orion">DEX</keyword> platform that promises traders “highly capital efficient liquidity pools that support single token provision, reduce impermanent loss, and minimise slippage”. That promise comes from what the platform called proactive market maker (<keyword id="306910" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pmm" source="Orion">PMM</keyword>), a new kind of algorithm that makes buy and sell decisions on the platform. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="wazirx" comment="wazirx" text="wazirx">wazirx</cmsannotation> <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="How is DODO unique" comment="subhead" text="How is DODO unique">How is DODO unique</cmsannotation> On paper, DODO is just another DEx. But as mentioned above, the PMM is what differentiates this project from fellow DEXs like Uniswap. But to understand the difference between PMMs and AMMs, we first need to know how liquidity works in crypto trades. When you’re trading particular crypto on an exchange, centralised or decentralised, the only way the trade can go through is if there’s a buyer on the other end. On a centralised exchange, the company can provide liquidity through certain partnerships and more. However, DEXs are driven by smart contracts instead of companies. This means that when you’re trading on a DEX, let’s say Ether for USDT, the platform needs an ETH-USDT liquidity pool. DEXs achieve this by allowing anyone to provide liquidity, and smart contracts define when liquidity can come into play. On regular DEXs, these smart contracts are called AMMs. So, AMMs go about the process of market making by pooling in two crypto-assets, and the trade price is determined by how much liquidity is available on that pool. In turn, this means that the price you expected when you initiated a trade could be lower when the trade goes through — a phenomenon that is known as slippage. In traditional stock trading terms, this will be akin to the price of a stock or asset changing in the time it takes your broker to execute the trade. PMMs try to mitigate this concern by attempting to proactively adjust the parameters of a trade as it happens. Basically, it is capable of taking into account the available liquidity in real-time and adjusting the relevant parameters of trade to avoid slippage. They do so by creating liquidity pools nearer to the market price than AMMs. The DODO project claims that its PMMs can even be adjusted to take into account external price oracles to avoid impermanent loss, which is a phenomenon that affects liquidity providers when the price of an asset changes between the time it is deposited to provide liquidity and when it’s withdrawn. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Tokenomics" comment="subhead" text="Tokenomics">Tokenomics</cmsannotation> The vDODO token, which is the native <keyword id="6357017" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cryptocurrency" source="Orion">cryptocurrency</keyword> of the DODO project, has three categories — traders, liquidity pool creators (LPCs), and liquidity providers (LPs). The tokens have three functions — governance, crowd pooling and initial dex offering (IDO) allocations, and trading fee discounts on DODO. The vDODO token is used to serve as proof of membership in DODO’s loyalty program and can be minted at a fixed rate of 1 vDODO being equal to 100 DODO. The platform also encourages long-term membership by redeeming vDODO tokens to DODO tokens by employing a variable exit fee. On the governance front, holders of the vDODO token can vote on proposals with a single vDODO token being equal to 100 votes. Terra’s stablecoin jumps 5x valuation in 2021 – with $18 billion locked in the DeFi ecosystem

<ul><li>Web3 tokens are those that will be used to power decentralised apps (DApps).</li><li>Web3 tokens are built on platforms like Ethereum, but usually have their own platforms associated with them.</li><li>The top web3 tokens are those that are meant to bridge today’s web2 solutions with tomorrow’s DApps.</li></ul>The term “web3” may have originated less than a decade ago, but its implications are far reaching. While the first generation of the internet (web1) was driven by singular websites, the second generation (web2) saw the rise of platforms — like Facebook or Instagram — the third generation (web3) will be driven by decentralised services, or DApps. And powering every DApp is a crypto token that powers the respective service. There are two ways to look at web3 tokens. On the one hand you have crypto platforms like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are being used to build new apps. However, a web3 platform that seeks to make a real impact will usually have its own token too. Like other web3 tokens, Filecoin too will power services in the third generation of the internet, but unlike the others, it hits directly at the core of today’s web2 business models. Experts, critics and users have often argued that big tech firms like Facebook, Google and Microsoft wield so much power simply because the majority of the world’s important and sensitive data is processed on their servers and stored in their data centres. Which is what Filecoin aims to intervene. This decentralised storage network began in 2014, and has since powered many web3 apps. The idea behind Filecoin is simple — get users to join the network and share the storage space on their devices so that data can be stored over a decentralised, and potentially global network. The idea actually has been explored in HBO’s hit show Silicon Valley with DApp called ‘PiedPiper’. None of the users actually own any of the data, and no one user has access to all of it either. Since Filecoin has built a huge network of its own, it now offers this as a sort of a data centre solution for developers who don’t want to depend on traditional web2 storage. The FIL token powers the network. It is what Filecoin offers to those who are letting others use their storage, and its price stood at ₹2,430 on <a href="https://wazirx.com/signup?invite=2kpah6gr&amp;utm_source=business-insider&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=article-advertorial">WazirX</a> at the time of writing. It promises that a single GB of data will be stored forever. For those providing this storage, the cost of storage falls with time, as more and more data is stored. Which makes it worth it for them too. In fact, the foundation of peer-to-peer money like Bitcoin and many other concepts of decentralised technologies lies in torrents. Once known as a simple system used to pirate content, BitTorrent wasn’t a cryptocurrency when it formed back in 2001. That said, it is the 54th biggest cryptocurrency today, with a market capitalisation of over $2.5 billion. The part that might make it really lucrative to an investor though is that despite existing for such a long time, the BTT token was only worth ₹0.2 on WazirX at the time of writing. And that’s not because Bittorrent doesn’t have value. It’s because it’s new to the crypto world and its ‘to the moon’ moment is yet to occur, if at all. What BitTorrent has over any other web3 token though is a network that has been built over the past 21 years. The papers, written by some Indian Police Service officers, were submitted at the just-concluded conference of director generals of police (DGPs) and inspector general of police (IGPs), attended by Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="narendra-modi" source="Orion">Narendra Modi</keyword>. The papers noted that the 5G network is built on easily accessible and open Internet protocols and it inherits all the vulnerabilities of previous generations which make it vulnerable to cyber-attacks and compromise the security of the entire system. The <keyword id="48959" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ips" source="Orion">IPS</keyword> officers who wrote the papers suggested that a reserved 5G bandwidth and highly secured equipment should be developed proactively for sensitive government-related communications and for military usage and only approved and authenticated firms with the least cyber risk or with maximum safety protocols should be allowed to work in for the government agencies. "With cryptocurrencies and decentralised banking systems gaining further popularity using the real-time 5G networks, the linkages and financial trail will be challenging to trace. "The 5G can provide an excellent platform for the middlemen and agents for creating linkages for crimes like drug trafficking, human and organ trafficking, money laundering, terror financing, etc.," the papers said. Apart from the prime minister, the three-day annual conference was attended by Union Home Minister <keyword id="6355521" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="amit-shah" source="Orion">Amit Shah</keyword>, National Security Adviser <keyword id="115253" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ajit-doval" source="Orion">Ajit Doval</keyword> and about 350 top police officers of the country last weekend. The 5G network core is built on easily accessible and open Internet protocols such as HTTP and Transport Layer Security (TLS). In a Network-Slicing environment, different sub-networks will have different natures of cyber security. Keys for radio interface encryption are delivered across unsecured routes. Vulnerabilities such as IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference) could arise. "The Telco cloud is vulnerable to cyber-attacks, which can compromise the security of the network and the data stored in the cloud," the papers said. Due to network function virtualisation (NFV), criminals can employ or execute attacks to access and even alter telephone numbers (target lists) to be monitored. There are several improvements in 5G that support such remote control functions like drones, robotic surgery, etc. but criminals can exploit this aspect too. Another issue in 5G is the operations of edge computing where processing is done at decentralised inter-communicating nodes close to the user network. This furthers the problem of data collection for security establishments as there is no central node through which data passes. The papers said the 5G can support millions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Internet of Things (<keyword id="12307304" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="iots" source="Orion">IoTs</keyword>) and devices per square kilometer thus resulting in a massive increase in attack surface for cybercriminals. Cyber crimes like mobile network mapping, distributed denial of service, draining battery, service degradation, mobile IMSI capture, malware injection, CnC creation, intercepting communication, DNS spoofing, uplink, and downlink impersonations, etc. may be easier to carry out, the papers said. "During the initial transition phase, future 5G networks will inherit all the vulnerabilities of previous generations." There is a chance that end-to-end encryption (E2ER) will be included in the standard during the upcoming standardisation process, which is a challenge for law enforcement agencies. The IPS officers wrote that the 5G equipment manufacturers would try to sell the valuable data to the marketers for targeted advertising and this should be monitored to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Holistic cyber security is the only solution to this new 5 G-created ecosystem. Starting from core devices to network layers IoTs and user's mobile or appliances, everything should be seen as a potential attack point. Suggesting safeguards, the IPS officers noted that consumer education on IoT security is necessary and equipment should be purchased from trusted sources and not from suspicious sources like China. "The mobile operators need to adopt a hybrid cloud-based approach where sensitive data is stored locally and less sensitive data stored in the cloud. There is a need for network operators to be alert to the need for resilience of their infrastructure to power outages, natural disasters, misconfiguration etc.," the papers said. Hackers have stolen nearly $180 million in cryptocurrency from <keyword id="13647448" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="beanstalk-farms" source="Orion">Beanstalk Farms</keyword>, a decentralised finance (De-Fi) project. <keyword id="791782" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="beanstalk" source="Orion">Beanstalk</keyword> operates a system where participants earn rewards by contributing funds to a central funding pool that is used to balance the value of one token at close to $1, reports The Verge. "Beanstalk suffered an exploit. The Beanstalk Farms team is investigating the attack and will make an announcement to the community as soon as possible," the company admitted in a tweet. The hackers exploited Beanstalk's majority vote governance system, a core feature of many DeFi protocols. The attack was first spotted by blockchain analytics company PeckShield. The Beanstalk attacker "used a flash loan obtained through the decentralised protocol Aave to borrow close to $1 billion in cryptocurrency assets and exchanged these for enough beans to gain a 67 per cent voting stake in the project". The attacker then instantly repaid the flash loan, netting an $80 million profit, the report said. In January this year, hackers stole <keyword id="2721952" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="crypto" source="Orion">crypto</keyword> tokens worth $120 million from Blockchain-based decentralised finance (DeFi) platform BadgerDAO. Several crypto wallets were drained before the platform could stop the cyber attack. Simply put, the digital rupee is basically the digital version of India’s fiat currency that’s run using a private blockchain system. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, which aspire to be decentralised — they run on public blockchains — a CBDC is a centralised digital asset since the RBI will be able to control its supply in the market. “It's phenomenal news that India launching a blockchain-powered ‘digital rupee’. This move will pave the way for crypto adoption and put India in the front seat of innovation,” said Nischal Shetty, the CEO of WazirX, in a statement. Many experts argue that CBDCs are not ‘technically’ cryptocurrencies due to their centralised nature. Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana, CBDCs are designed to be trackable and do not allow any form of anonymity. India is not alone in the race to raise a CBDC India is not the first country to experiment with digital legal tender. According to the Atlantic Council’s <a href="https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/cbdctracker/#:~:text=Key%20findings,GDP)%20are%20exploring%20a%20CBDC.">CBDC tracker</a>, there are at least 87 countries around the world — which present 90% of the global gross domestic product (GDP) — who are exploring a CBDC right now. The key advantages of these CBDCs are reduced printing costs, low settlement risks, easy to implement cost-effective global payment system and more. Moreover, with a CBDC in control of the monetary policy, banks won’t get pushed out of the system as easily. On the flip side, scalability has been an inherent project with cryptocurrencies. It will be interesting to see how the RBI plans to address that problem as it deals with a population of 1.4 billion.
