It will continue till tomorrow, and viewers can tune into Star Sports network on television and the JioCinema App. A total of 574 players were released by the respective franchise ahead of the mega auction.<br /><br />Of the 574 players, 366 are Indian, while 208 are overseas, including three from associate nations. The auction will see 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped overseas players in contention. There are 204 slots available, with 70 reserved for overseas players.<br /><br />The highest reserve price is set at Rs 2 crore, with 81 players opting for this bracket. The largest segment comprises players with a base price of Rs 30 lakh, totalling 320.<br /><br />The first set includes <keyword id="19904097" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shreyas-iyer" source="keywords">Shreyas Iyer</keyword>, Rishabh Pant, and Arshdeep Singh, while the second features KL Rahul, <keyword id="20038368" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="yuzvendra-chahal" source="keywords">Yuzvendra Chahal</keyword>, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj. A T20 World Cup-winning captain for England, Buttler made a name for himself in the IPL during his stint with Rajasthan Royals (RR) from 2018 to 2024.<br /><br />For RR since 2018, Buttler scored 3,055 runs at an average of 41.84 and a strike rate of 147.79, with 7 centuries and 18 fifties. His best score was 124. He is the team's third-highest run-getter of all time. In his last season for KKR, he scored 351 runs in 15 matches at an average of 39.00 and a strike rate of over 146, making two fifties.<br /><br />Rishabh Pant (India)<br /><br />The swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter is an all-format for India and a livewire on the field. Having proven himself as a man for big stages in Test cricket, Pant's T20 game is just as solid. Though he has scored 1,209 runs in 76 T20Is at an underwhelming average of 23.25, strike rate of almost 128 and just three fifties, his overall T20 numbers are way better, having made 5,022 runs in 202 matches at an average of 31.78, strike rate of over 145, with two centuries and 25 fifties.<br /><br />Pant has represented Delhi Capitals (DC) for his entire IPL career since 2016, scoring 3,284 runs in 110 matches at an average of 35.31, with a century and 18 fifties. He was appointed as the team's captain in 2021 and led them to playoffs in the same season.<br /><br />During this last season, which marked his return from competitive cricket after a serious road accident in 2022-end, Pant scored 446 runs in 13 matches at an average of 40.54 and a strike rate of 155.40, with three fifties and best score of 88*. India wants to do away with the sobriquet of world’s deadliest roads and the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=road+ministry&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">road and transport ministry</a> is going to launch a scheme for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=road+safety&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">safer roads</a> in this regard.<br />

Soon, India won’t have world’s highest number of road accidents as Rs 2,000 crore are being pumped in to make roads safer

The standoff between Indian and Chinese soldiers in <keyword id="8093222" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="eastern-Ladakh-region">eastern Ladakh region</keyword> in the last one-and-a-half months is likely to fester for longer than any other such faceoffs in recent years, and could surpass the 73-day conflict in <keyword id="4708082" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="doklam">Doklam</keyword> in 2017.<br /><br /><div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="76438507" title="The next few days are going to be stormy for India and China say a former diplomat and retired lieutenant general" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div><br /><br />The eastern Ladakh crisis is an unprecedented situation if compared to the Doklam standoff, which was resolved after little more than 70 days. <br /><br />The tense situation in Galwan Valley in all likelihood would be a prolonged feud since India has lost 20 of its soldiers. <br /><br />Also, what is disturbing is that 10 Indian soldiers, including officers, were in the captivity of Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) for three days after one of the bloodiest attacks was carried out by China on June 15 at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). <br /><br />There is a renewed fury in Indian security establishments after it came to light that a total 10 Indian Army men, including two officers of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Major, were in Chinese Army captivity for three days and were released only on Thursday evening. <br /><br />The barbaric assault on Indian Army soldiers at patrolling point 14 on June 15 has left little scope to ease the tension between the two countries in near future. <br /><br /><strong>China's deceptive method to change status quo<br /></strong>China has changed the status quo at four places in eastern Ladakh to which India has objected. The four standoff points are Finger Four in north bank of Pangong Lake, patrolling point 14 near Galwan Valley, patrolling point 15 and patrolling point 17A, which is also known as Hot Springs. <br /><br />At these four points, troop concentration has increased manifold as China changed the status quo. <br /><br />The Chinese deceptive move underlining its expansionist design kick-started after India had begun building road infrastructure in its territory near the Line of Actual Control for easy movement of troops. <br /><br />The Galwan Valley attack on Indian soldiers on June 15 was not an isolated incident. <br /><br />The unprovoked offensive by the Chinese PLA started from May 5 and kept happening over few intervals, leading to the barbaric attack on the night of June 15 in which 76 soldiers were injured and 20 were killed. <br /><br />Those were the first casualties faced by the Indian Army in a clash with the Chinese PLA since 1975 when an Indian patrol was ambushed by Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh. <br /><br />Indian Army troops were outnumbered by 1:5 ratio when PLA troops attacked patrolling point number 14 at the Line of Actual Control. PLA troops "savagely attacked" Indian Army personnel, sources said on Wednesday. <br /><br />"The numbers of Indian Army troops compared to PLA troops were of 1:5 ratio," said sources, adding that China used thermal imaging drones to trace Indian army soldiers before brutally attacking them. <br /><br />"It was the deadliest attack carried on Indian Army personnel," government sources said. <br /><br /><strong>The Doklam crisis<br /></strong>The Doklam crisis of 2017 was totally different from the current situation in eastern Ladakh region, as it was not taking place on a territory disputed between the two countries. <br /><br />China was carrying out infrastructural development work in Doklam, the tri-junction of three countries -- India, China and Bhutan -- to which India had objected. <br /><br />China then claimed that there was a boundary dispute between Bhutan and China in which India had no claims. <br /><br />However, India refuted and stood its ground, matching the deployment of Chinese troops for 73 days. <br /><br />The standoff was triggered by China, which said it was constructing a road within its territory. This was disputed by India, which said the Chinese road construction site was Bhutanese territory. <br /><br />In Doklam, India feared that the Chinese road would give its military access to heights from where it could threaten the Siliguri Corridor, India's tenuous link with its northeastern regions. <br /><br />The crisis was resolved with diplomatic maturity without losing any ground. There was no change in the status quo on the ground and the faceoff ended on August 28, 2017. <br /><br /><strong>The Eastern Ladakh Crisis<br /></strong>The faceoff in eastern Ladakh, where China has intruded into Indian territory, has escalated into intense hostility and both the countries have increased troop deployments at four strategic locations. <br /><br />The Chinese are trying to usurp Indian land and even launched a massive propaganda campaign to claim that its troops were positioned within the Chinese border, which is a lie that has been exposed by international think-tanks keeping a close watch on India-China border developments. <br /><br />The Chinese military has positioned itself at strategic locations in such a way that it will give them the edge to challenge road construction by India. China does not want any threatening build-up of military infrastructure in the Sub Sector North, which lies just to the east of Siachen glacier and is the only area that provides direct access to Aksai Chin from India. <br /><br />In the meantime, India has maintained that it needs to build infrastructure in its own territory at the Line of Actual Control and cannot compromise on it. <br /><br />This has led to the current crisis. <br /><br /><strong>Escalated Hostility</strong><br />In his first remarks on the bloody border clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Galwan Valley, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it clear on Wednesday that India wants peace, but is capable of giving a befitting reply if provoked. <br /><br />The Prime Minister said, "I would like to assure the nation that the sacrifice of our jawans will not go in vain. For us, India's unity and sovereignty is most important and no one can stop us from protecting them. No one should have a doubt on this point. India wants peace, but is capable of giving a befitting reply in every way." <br /><br />This clear message comes against the backdrop of the Chinese army and its Foreign Ministry's blatant lie claiming control over the Galwan Valley. <br /><br />Although historical facts and documents have exposed Chinese sinister claims, the move itself highlights Chinese intent to change the status quo in the Ladakh region. Ladakh military faceoff with China may go on for longer than the Doklam conflict

<ul class="summary-list"><li>The death of the 4 soldiers came as <keyword id="1334" type="COUNTRY" weightage="60" keywordseo="China">China</keyword> and <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="60" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> fought in the Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020.</li><li>China confirmed this for the first time in the <a href="http://english.chinamil.com.cn">PLA Daily</a> for the first time.</li><li>It relates to a shared 2,100 mile-long de facto border called the Line of Actual Control (LAC).</li></ul><p>China has acknowledged that four of its troops were killed during a mountain border clash with India last summer for the first time.</p><p>The death of the soldiers, the youngest of whom was 19, came as <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ro-khanna-on-joe-biden-foreign-policy-america-post-trump-2021-2?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">China</a> and India fought in the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-800-million-pounds-of-himalayan-salt-are-mined-yearly-2021-2?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">Himalayan</a> Galwan Valley in June in the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/india-china-border-clashes-could-cause-more-indian-ocean-activity-2020-7?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">deadliest confrontation</a> between them for almost 46 years.</p><p>China confirmed this for the first time in its official military newspaper, the <a href="http://english.chinamil.com.cn">People's Liberation Army Daily (PLA Daily)</a>.</p><p><a href="http://www.81.cn/jfjbmap/content/2021-02/19/content_282976.htm">PLA Daily</a> identified them as Chen Hongjun, Chen Xiangrong, Xiao Siyuan and Wang Zhuoran and said the first three were killed in the fight while Wang died trying to cross a river to help his comrades.</p><p>Battalion commander Chen Hongjun and the three other <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/armored-vehicle-china-military-trust-exercise-video-2021-2?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">troops</a> who died, whose ranks remain unknown, were all named martyrs and given posthumous honors alongside a fifth individual, <a href="http://www.81.cn/jfjbmap/content/2021-02/19/content_282976.htm">it</a> added.</p><p>Immediately after the clash, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-indias-farming-protests-didnt-become-covid-superspreader-events-2021-2?r=US&amp;IR=TIR=T">India</a> said 20 of its soldiers had been killed while China simply said that there had been fatalities on both sides but refused to share the exact number of deaths among their troops despite various, unconfirmed reports estimating more than 40.</p><p>China and India share a 2,100 mile-long de facto border in the <a href="https://www.insider.com/himalayas-seen-from-india-pollution-drop-coronavirus-lockdown-2020-4">Himalayas</a> called the Line of Actual Control (LAC), which was created in 1962 following a war between them for the stretch of land.</p><p>It has been a source of tension ever since, with each side regularly stating the other has overstepped the somewhat poorly defined boundary into their territory in the Pangong Tso area of Ladakh.</p><p>In early May, Chinese and Indian troops and tanks were in the middle of a stand-off in the Karakoram mountains and engaged in shouting matches, stone throwing and fistfights since a bilateral accord prevents the use of guns by either side, <a href="https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20210220-china-shares-dramatic-video-of-mountain-clash-with-india-troops">France 24</a> reported.</p><p>By the following month, things had escalated and eventually spread north into the Galwan Valley, where India has built an all-weather military road along the much-disputed border, <a href="https://news.sky.com/story/china-admits-for-first-time-four-of-its-troops-were-killed-in-2020-india-border-clash-12223410">Sky News</a> added.</p><p>Although both countries agreed not to send more troops in September and began talks that temporarily resolved the issue, there was a "minor" incident last month. However, they have since agreed to "disengage" and are beginning to withdraw from the LAC.</p>

China has acknowledged four of its soldiers were killed during an Indian mountain border clash last year for first time

Date unknown.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Indonesian police have arrested one of India's most wanted gangsters, sought in more than two dozen murder cases, on the resort island of Bali, Indian federal police said on Monday, ending a two-decade-long international manhunt.</p><p>Rajendra Nikalje, widely known as Chhota Rajan, has been on Interpol's wanted list since 1995 for running a crime syndicate that engaged in extortion, arms smuggling and contract killing.</p><p>Nikalje, a career criminal who got his start petty theif who eventually found himself under the tutelige of Bada Rajan in the 1980s. After the death of Bada, Nikalje took his place in the criminal organization and assumed the alias "Chhota Rajan."</p><p>Nikalje was then a top aide to Dawood Ibrahim, a terrorist who carried out <span>India's deadliest bombing, which killed at least 250 people and wounded more than 700 in Mumbai in 1993.</span></p><p><span>At that point, Nikalje broke with Ibrahim, and positioned himself as a "patriotic" gangster, who worked with authorities to track down Ibrahim<a href="http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/wanted-criminal-chhota-rajan-arrested-in-indonesia/" target="_blank"> according to The Indian Express</a>. Since then, Nikalje has been plagued by assassination attempts from his former boss-turned rival.</span></p><p><span>In 2000, Ibrahim's shooters nearly killed Nikalje in a hospital in Bangkok, but he escaped. He got in touch with Indian authorities, whom he reportedly has deep ties with and had planned to give himself up, <a href="http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/wanted-criminal-chhota-rajan-arrested-in-indonesia/" target="_blank">according to The Indian Express</a>.</span></p><p>"We tracked Chhota Rajan's movements closely and informed the police in Indonesia and Australia," said Anil Sinha, director of the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Indian capital.</p><p>"Eventually the Indonesian police managed to arrest him. One of India's most wanted gangsters has finally been captured after 20 years on the run

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Courtesy of Devika Gurung</span></p><p class="caption">Tangting is a 400 person village deep in the mountains of Nepal.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>Nepal is full of contrasts.</p><p>Sandwiched between China and India, the country's 30 million residents are scattered across a stark geography, from the snowy Himalayan plateau to sweltering jungle and arid plains.</p><p>A common refrain among Nepali people is that if you were to spread the country flat, it would be one of the largest in the world. Perhaps as a consequence of the country's topography, Nepal's people represent a panoply of ethnic groups, speaking over 100 languages, with varying styles of dress, cuisine, and architecture.</p><p>In Nepal's relatively cosmopolitan urban centers, you're just as likely to hear K-Pop blaring from taxi speakers as you are the latest Bollywood hit or the omnipresent Om Mani Padme Om, an ancient Sanskrit chant.</p><p>Tourism - along with remittance money sent back from citizens working abroad - is one of the largest drivers of Nepal's economy.</p><p>Most visitors and backpackers take a few well-trodden paths through the country, mostly in places where Western food and a toilet (with toilet paper) are almost always available.</p><p>Tangting, a village I had the pleasure of visiting for the second time in July, is not one of those places.</p><p>My girlfriend's family originally hails from the village. Having that connection is one of the few ways an outsider can spend time there and get to know the place. </p><p>Situated in what Nepalis refer to as "hill" country, Tangting is a village of around 400 people in a deep valley under the shadow of Annapurna, one of the world's deadliest peaks. A dense subtropical jungle and rice paddies carved into the valley color the area a deep green. The sounds of yaks with bells jingling around their necks can be heard, alongside women singing while they work the fields. </p><p>It's a place where, just over a decade ago, a group of Maoist rebels made their last stand in the civil war that pulled the country apart. It's only now getting sewn back together. </p><p>These days, a rush of development is occurring. Power lines now run to the village, as does a new dirt road that leads from Pokhara, Nepal's second-largest city, to Tangting. </p><p>The road is passable only in the dry season, however. So when we - myself, my girlfriend, and her family - traveled to Tangting during monsoon season, multiple landslides blocked our path, forcing us to walk most of the way. </p><p>Here's what the journey and the village were like.</p>

6. 38 year old Aaj Tak journalist Akshay Singh was found dead. He was covering the scam for the TV channel. Oddly this was just before he planned to interview the parents of Namrata Damor, who was connected to the scam.<br />

7. The government has accepted that over 1000 fake admissions were made under the scam.<br />

8. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has declared that he will request the High Court to order a CBI probe into the matter.<br />

9. Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya drew flak after his comments on the death of the journalist,"Patrakar vatrakar chhodo, aaj hum se bada patrakar he kya (Forget the journalist. Is there any bigger journalist than me today", he said.<br />

10. Lalit Modi has claimed that the scam is a strategy by news channels to counter him and that he will not let that happen.<br />

The news agency also&#xa0;reported that security forces were seen entering the Starbucks that was targeted.</p><p>Local media reported that at least six bombs may have gone off, according to a report from Reuters.</p><p>One of the blasts reportedly occured inside a Starbucks.&#xa0;<span>"The Starbucks cafe windows are blown out," a Reuters photographer reported, " I see three dead people on the road. There has been a lull in the shooting but someone is on the roof of the building and police are aiming their guns at him."</span></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Local news outlet, Metro TV said up to 14 militant gunmen were involved in the attack.<p>According to the official<span class="highlight">&#xa0;Jakarta&#xa0;</span>police Twitter account one explosion went off in front of the Sarinah mall, on a main city avenue. Media said a police post outside the mall was blown up.</p><p>"I saw a police officer shot right in front of me," one witness told TV One.</p><p>Police snipers were deployed, according to media.</p><p>A UN building near the scene was in lockdown with no one allowed in or out, a witness said. a consortium of 57 countries which calls itself &#xa0;"the collective voice of the Muslim world" - <a href="https://twitter.com/OIC_OCI/status/1072400713068744704">noted</a> in December "disturbing reports" of China's Muslim crackdown.</p><p>It said it hoped China "would address the legitimate concerns of Muslims around the world."</p><p><em><strong>Read more:</strong> <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-xi-jinping-is-attacking-religion-in-china-2018-11">Jailing Muslims, burning Bibles, and forcing monks to wave the national flag: How Xi Jinping is attacking religion in China</a></em></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>In countries where world leaders haven't stood up to China, there are prominent protests.</p><p><a href="https://nasional.sindonews.com/read/1363048/15/fadli-zon-pemerintah-indonesia-harus-bersuara-bela-muslim-uighur-1544864520">Prominent politicians</a> and <a href="https://en.antaranews.com/news/121350/indonesian-ulema-council-strongly-condemns-oppression-of-chinese-uighurs">religious figures</a> in Indonesia - the country with the highest proportion of Muslims in the world - are urging the government to speak up. It has so far refused to do so, <a href="https://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2018/12/17/kalla-reasserts-indonesias-non-interference-stance-on-chinas-uighur-issue.html">saying</a> it that it didn't "want to intervene in the domestic affairs of another country."</p><p>Muslim groups in <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinas-detentions-of-muslims-trigger-protests-in-islamic-world-1538040605">India, Bangladesh, and Kazakhstan</a> also staged multiple protests&#xa0;over the Uighur detentions this year.</p><p>People have been particularly vocal in Kazakhstan, as many ethnic Kazakhs are said to be imprisoned in the China's camps. The government in June <a href="https://www.rferl.org/a/qishloq-ovozi-kazakhstan-confronts-china-over-disappearances/29266456.html">said</a> "an urgent request was expressed" over the welfare of Kazakhs detained in China, but there have not been any significant updates.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Western powers like the US, UK, and UN have criticised Beijing over its actions in Xinjiang in the past.</p><p>But the criticism of Muslim nations shows a turning tide in the world's attitude to China, said Sophie Richardson, Human Rights Watch's China director.</p><p>China has long batted away Western criticism, with state-run Global Times tabloid describing Western critics as "a <a href="http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1126028.shtml">condescending judge</a>" earlier this year. China's foreign ministry said a reported investigation by western diplomats into the Uighur issue was "<a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/china-slams-western-ambassadors-over-plan-to-grill-uighur-persecution-2018-11?r=US&amp;IR=T">very rude</a>."</p><p>Richardson said: "When governments like Indonesia or Malaysia ... or organizations like the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation speak up, China can no longer dismiss concerns about Xinjiang being some kind of Western conspiracy."</p><p>"That's very encouraging."</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><h2><strong>The world is paying attention</strong></h2><p>The rising tide of outrage against China comes as more and more of the country's human rights record was brought to light this year.</p><p>This summer journalists, academics, and activists were taken aback by the disappearance of the Chinese "X-Men" actress <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/category/fan-bingbing">Fan Bingbing</a>, who Chinese authorities detained and kept from the public eye for three months over accusations that she evaded taxes.</p><p><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/category/meng-hongwei">Meng Hongwei</a>, the Lyon-based president of Interpol, remains missing after being mysteriously detained in China in late September. His wife <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/meng-hongwei-interpol-president-missing-china-answers-2018-11">thinks he could be dead</a>.</p><p>The New York Times also featured a story about the Xinjiang detention camps on its front page for the first time this September:</p><p>Richardson said: "Increasingly, governments are seeing the way in which China uses thuggish tactics at home and overseas on governments and citizens, and are starting to realize it's time to push back against it."</p><p>"Three months ago, if you were to tell me there would be critical language coming out of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, I would have suggested it was unlikely," she said.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><h2><strong>Next comes action</strong></h2><p>Muslim countries' speaking up against China over the Uighurs is a significant first step, but is not likely to do much by itself.</p><p>Countries now need to take concrete action to punish or persuade China to end their crackdown on the Uighurs, Richardson said.</p><p>"The question now is what everybody is willing to do," she said. "Talking and putting in consequential actions are two different things. That's where the game shifts next."</p><p>Countries will also have to be "mindful that China will fight it tooth and nail," she added.</p><p>Members of the Muslim world could demand independent access into Xinjiang to investigate reports of the detention camps, for example.</p><p>The United Nations has already been doing this for months, but Beijing <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/china-tells-un-to-back-off-after-alleging-xinjiang-has-1-million-in-camps-2018-9?r=UK&amp;IR=T">told it to back off</a>.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Another form of punishment could come in the form of sanctions, or cancelling contracts.</p><p>Richardson, the Human Rights Watch director, noted that the latest spate of accusations against China came at a time when multiple Muslim countries started reassessing their economic ties with Beijing.</p><p>Malaysia <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/malaysia-axes-22-billion-of-belt-and-road-projects-blow-to-china-2018-8?r=US&amp;IR=T">axed $22 billion</a>&#xa0;of Beijing-backed infrastructure projects this August. Egypt's talks with a Chinese building company for a $20 billion development also broke down this week, Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-12-16/china-s-20-billion-new-egypt-capital-project-talks-fall-through">reported</a>. Neither of those cancellations were over the Uighur issue.</p><p>A group of US bipartisan lawmakers last month <a href="https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.rubio.senate.gov_public_-5Fcache_files_1045ec83-2D597c-2D4418-2D9299-2Dcb5973dd24c8_997C1A8CB02CAABCEB7A415B11E8A6A2.dav18g88.pdf&amp;d=DwMFAg&amp;c=L93KkjKsAC98uTvC4KvQDdTDRzAeWDDRmG6S3YXllH0&amp;r=Unt1UKRirB_XlfpBmSNNWuLPnyNdMnHE2-JmOx-uFX4&amp;m=L6CBo4CKEsqMa_0EQAHz5AS5Y0H8uCs86L-1oP_jEKg&amp;s=TJ6kZozAeL0yfwr8o5FnEABZg3-3Cb-qangcd-aHrrk&amp;e=">introduced</a> the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act ("Uyghur" is an alternative spelling). <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-lawmakers-bill-punishing-china-over-uighur-muslim-persecution-2018-11">The act urges</a> the White House to consider imposing sanctions on Chinese officials responsible for the Uighur crackdown, as well as banning exports of US technology that could be used to oppress Uighurs.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><h2>Chinese cash could be hard to quit</h2><p>Whether Muslim countries follow suit remains to be seen, however.
