He held an "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram on Sunday where a user asked: "Your salary at CRED is so low? How do you survive?" Responding to the question, Shah said: "I don't believe I should get a good salary till the company is profitable. My salary at CRED is Rs 15,000 per month, and I can survive as I sold my company FreeCharge in the past." Moreover, a user on Twitter shared a screenshot of the story in which the CEO responded to the question. "There are CEOs who take salaries in crores, then we have Kunal Shah," the user wrote with the screenshot. Shah's response, on the other hand, appears to have divided the internet. While some applauded his decision, others said that it is simply a method to save tax. "Being humble and flexing in the same sentence. His words always poke me to be curious," a user commented. Cred's Kunal Shah, BharatPe, Bira91 founders invest in Hash

Nothing, a London-based consumer technology company, on Thursday announced it has appointed former <keyword id="10591" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Samsung">Samsung</keyword> executive <keyword id="68726" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="manu-Sharma">Manu Sharma</keyword>, as Vice President and General Manager of <keyword id="10825023" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nothing-India">Nothing India</keyword>. Sharma will drive the growth, business development and operations for Nothing in the country, a new venture of OnePlus Co-founder <keyword id="2497827" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Carl-Pei">Carl Pei</keyword>, in India. "Sharma is an experienced business leader with a deep knowledge and understanding of the consumer technology industry in India. Snapchat users who were exposed to NBC's ads (which included a sponsored selfie filter) at least three to five times specifically reported a 155% increase in self-reported viewing.<h2>Two-second exposure</h2>"This is the first time we did anything that was this extensive," NBC senior vice president of <keyword id="6354777" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Media">media</keyword> Kjerstin Beatty told BI in reference to the network's Snapchat campaign for "Hairspray." His appointment may even coincide with news that Bill Gates will be leaving his position as chairman of the board, reports Bloomberg.
Nadella's appointment would be interesting and possibly controversial for investors. That's because when Steve Ballmer stepped down it was because he thought Microsoft needed fresh blood. "The best way for Microsoft to enter a new era is with a new leader who will accelerate change," Ballmer told the <a href="http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303460004579194150724298162">Wall Street Journal</a>.
Nadella wouldn't exactly be fresh blood but he is well respected at Microsoft and in the industry.
As new broke that he would be named CEO, Box CEO Aaron Levie tweeted this nice thing about him.

<li>He currently heads up Microsoft's cloud computing efforts. He also ran Bing, and although Bing has never been Microsoft's crown jewel, Nadella helped it grow.</li>
<li>Ballmer moved him from Bing to run Microsoft's $19 billion Server and Tools Business, pushing out long-time Microsoft exec Bob Muglia in the process.</li>
<li>Nadella was the one that helped bring some of Microsoft's most popular technologies, like its database, Windows server and developer tools, to the cloud.</li>
<li>That cloud, called Azure, has gained respect as an alternative to Amazon's cloud among the industry.</li>
<li>He also helped Microsoft bring a cloud version of Microsoft Office to the cloud, Office 365. Microsoft says <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-back-430-enterprise-customers-back-from-google-2013-9">Office 365 one of its fastest growing products</a> ever.</li>
<li>Cloud revenue grew to $20.3 billion in the last fiscal year (ended in June), from $16.6 billion when he took over in 2011.</li>
<li>He's also a smart and diplomatic person, known internally as someone that's good at getting warring factions to work together, Bloomberg reports. That's means he should be able to work with the reorganization Ballmer put in place last summer named "One Microsoft."</li>
<li>Prior to Microsoft, he worked at Sun Microsystems, now owned by Oracle.</li>
<li>He grew up in Hyderabad, India, and has an electrical engineering degree from Mangalore University, and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin. He's also got an MBA from the University of Chicago. That kind of engineering background gives him street cred at Microsoft, too.</li>

I had my first child at 37 and my second at 39. Because I was <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/how-much-money-salary-americans-need-to-feel-rich-2023-7">financially secure</a>, I was able to outsource the more mundane tasks of being a parent. I hired two nannies and didn't worry about the cost. I outsourced laundry, housekeeping, and cooking, in addition to the childcare help.I approached motherhood the same way that I ran a business. Most parents have limited time, money, and energy. I was in the unique position of having plenty of money, and I knew I could use it to buy myself more time and energy, in a way.I didn't engage with the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/millennial-parents-hire-professionals-for-child-rearing-tasks-2020-1">parenting tasks</a> I dreaded, like doing bath time or reading the same book 500 times. That freed me to show up fully, energetically, and passionately to the parenting activities I do love, like swimming together, eating breakfast, and exploring museums.<h2 id="ae95b7b3-5824-4144-aef9-adac2c9e8a54">I think all parents should outsource some of the job</h2>Most parents don't have millions in the bank, but they can still use a similar approach. The minimum order price is $20, enough for about two hampers of laundry. I understand that might be a lot of money for some people. And yet, if you have the financial resources, you have to weigh the cost against the freedom of having more quality time to spend with your kids.</li><li>Gift-giving services: Even when it's not the holidays, as a parent, you're constantly thinking about things like birthdays, showers, and graduations. Finding a gift requires lots of thought and emotional energy, not to mention the time needed to actually go shopping.That's why I love <a target="_blank" href="https://peacockparent.com/virtual-personal-shopping-assistant/">Poppy Gifting</a>. I'm able to splurge on some parenting support that is unobtainable for most people. My favorite is a personal chef. Three days a week, we have a chef that comes in for eight hours a day. He takes care of all shopping, prepping, cooking, meal serving, and cleanup.That's a ton of work, and since I'm not someone who enjoys cooking, it's money well spent to remove it from my plate. But it comes with a high price tag: we pay the chef about $70 an hour. Most people can't afford that, but maybe you can outsource some of the mental load of meal prep by buying pre-sliced fruits and vegetables or meal kits, or budget for takeout when work is especially busy.

It is no doubt a happy occasion for the parents, but when a person with as much street cred as Musk has his third child with one of his employees through IVF, we can hardly let the event slide without so much as wondering why the tech mogul keeps having children. Now, we do not want to go into the details of Mr Musk’s personal life or discuss his relationships with all the mothers of his children so far — Justine Wilson, Grimes and Zilis (we have a separate <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/thelife/personalities/news/elon-musks-12-kids-all-about-musks-dozen-kids-and-their-moms/articleshow/111280167.cms" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">story</a> for that). But we can’t help but be interested in what is driving the owner of X (formerly Twitter) to expand his family at this rate given how committed he seemed to support climate action. Before you come at us with pitchforks for being child-haters, we’re merely stating what studies have already shown: having kids is possibly among the greatest contributors to a person’s carbon footprint. Though the extent of impact has been debated in the scientific community, no one can deny that there is a substantial burden on the planet’s finite resources as the population spikes further. Mr Musk has fathered a dozen children already. And there’s no telling when baby No. 13 would make an appearance. But we do suspect that the entrepreneur thinks his heart is in the right place. Mr Musk feels very, very strongly about this, and the majority of his children were conceived through IVF. “If people don’t have more children, civilisation is going to crumble,” he said at an event. “Mark my words.” Not only does he encourage people to have bigger families, but he’s allegedly said that he wants more ‘smart people’ to have kids (that explains it). He has also joked about doing his best to help the underpopulation crisis around the time news broke that he had secretly welcomed twins with Zilis in 2021. But was he really joking? <div type="twitter" handle="elonmusk" handlename="elonmusk" favoritecount="0" retweetcount="0" id="1545046146548019201"></div>And when he welcomed his third child with Grimes a month later, Musk tweeted about it again. This time, he lamented that population collapse due to low birth rates is a much bigger risk to civilisation than global warming. <div type="twitter" handle="elonmusk" handlename="elonmusk" favoritecount="0" retweetcount="0" id="1563020169160851456"></div>We’re almost certain he fully meant what he said too, given how unserious he has seemed in his intent of curbing the <keyword id="20212385" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="climate-crisis" source="keywords">climate crisis</keyword> in recent times. And climate activists allege that all the baby-making is probably just another smidge of uncredible-ness to his already dwindling imagery as a climate champion. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Does Elon Musk care about climate change or not?" comment="subhead" text="Does Elon Musk care about climate change or not?">Does Elon Musk care about climate change or not? </cmsannotation>At this point, nobody can tell for sure. His brave choices to start Tesla have undoubtedly revolutionised the electric vehicle industry, offering a path towards cleaner transportation. On multiple occasions in the distant past, he has said that climate change is the biggest crisis facing humanity and he aims to address it through his work. Elon Musk has even proposed carbon taxes to incentivise a shift away from fossil fuels. However, his own lavish lifestyle paints a different picture. Musk's frequent private jet trips generate enormous carbon emissions, directly contradicting the environmental objectives of Tesla. Not to mention, since his acquisition of X, the platform has witnessed a rise in climate denialism, many climate scientists have left the platform frustrated, accusing it of becoming a breeding ground for misinformation. This directly undermines Musk's image as a champion for a clean energy future. Further muddying the waters are Musk's political leanings. His support for Republican politicians who downplay climate change raises questions about his own convictions. Clearly, this is hardly the first time we have reason to question Mr Musk’s motives for the planet through the lens of climate change. But if the SpaceX founder has changed his allegiances from the climate crisis to the fertility crisis, the world's richest man is putting his money (and genes) where his mouth is. Whether Elon Musk is having all these children due to the convoluted notion of saving human civilisation or simply because he adores kids or a little bit of both, is something only he — and probably the mothers of his children — know for sure. But this could just be the right time to ponder further about how individual choices can impact global discourse and vice versa.
