The agency said, "The plinth of the building shall match with the plinth of the existing building, which is approximately 1.8 meters above the ground level." "The total plinth area of the proposed building is approximately 65,000 sqm, including the basement area of approximately 16,921 sqm. The building will be ground plus two storeyed with one basement," it said The CPWD said the existing Parliament building will continue to function during the entire period of execution of this project. New Delhi, June 4 () Religious places inside containment zones shall remain closed for public and those outside will be allowed to open, according to the SOPs issued by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday to contain the COVID-19 spread at such venues. Places of worship get frequented by a large number of people for spiritual solace and to prevent COVID-19 spread, it is important that required social distancing and other preventive measures are followed in those premises, the ministry said. In view of the potential threat of the spread of the infection, as far as feasible recorded devotional music or songs may be played and choir or singing groups should not be allowed, the Standard Operating Procedures stated. Common prayer mats should be avoided and devotees should bring their own mat or piece of cloth which they may take back with them. "No physical offerings like prasad/distribution or sprinkling of holy water, etc should be allowed inside the religious place," the ministry said, underlining that community kitchens, langars, 'Ann-Daan' etc at religious places should follow physical distancing norms while preparing and distributing food. The ministry advised persons aged above 65, having comorbidities, pregnant woman and children below the age of 10 years to stay at home and avoid visiting religious places. According to the SOPs, all religious places should ensure hand hygiene (sanitizer dispenser) and make thermal screening provisions at the entrance mandatorily. They should allow only asymptomatic persons in the premises and allowing those using face cover or masks. Audio and video clips to spread awareness on preventive measures for COVID-19 should be regularly played while posters on preventive measures should to be displayed prominently, it said. "Staggering of visitors to be done, if possible. Foot wears to be preferably taken-off inside own vehicle. If needed they should be kept in separate slots for each individual/ family by the persons themselves. Any shops, stalls, cafeteria etc, outside and within the premises shall follow social distancing norms at all times," the SOPs stated. The SOPs underlined maintaining physical distancing of a minimum of six feet at all times when queuing up for entry and washing hand and feet with soap and water before entering the premises. "For air-conditioning/ventilation, the guidelines of CPWD shall be followed which inter alia emphasises that the temperature setting of all air conditioning devices should be in the range of 24-30 C, relative humidity should be in the range of 40- 70 per cent, intake of fresh air should be as much as possible and cross ventilation should be adequate," it said. Touching of statues, idols and holy books should not be allowed and large gatherings remain prohibited. According to the SOPs, spitting should be strictly prohibited and installation and use of Aarogya Setu App should be advised to all. The management of the religious places must ensure frequent cleaning and disinfection of the floors and other surfaces. In case of a suspect or confirmed case in the premises, the ill person should be placed in a room or area and isolated from others and the nearest medical facility (hospital/clinic) should be informed, it said. A risk assessment will be undertaken by the designated public health authority (district RRT/treating physician) and accordingly further action would be initiated regarding management of case, his/her contacts and need for disinfection, the SOP pointed out. Ahead of the reopening of yoga institutes and gymnasiums, the health ministry on Monday issued COVID-19-appropriate protocols to be followed at such facilities like allowing only asymptomatic people, maintaining social distancing, use of Aarogya Setu mobile application and wearing of visor while exercising as far as possible. All yoga institutes and gymnasiums in containment zones shall remain closed and only those outside such zones will be allowed to open, the 'Guidelines on Preventive Measures to Contain Spread of COVID-19 in Yoga Institutes &amp; Gymnasiums' stated. "Spas, sauna, steam bath and swimming pools (wherever applicable) shall remain closed," the document said. The guidelines lay down the processes and premises redesigning, including proper placement of equipments, that need to be followed before reopening such establishments. Yoga institutes and gymnasiums have been asked to plan the floor area based on four metres squared per person. Persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised not to use gyms in closed spaces, the guidelines said. For the first time since the coronavirus lockdown came into force on March 25, the government has allowed opening of yoga institutes and gymnasiums from August 5 as part of the 'Unlock 3' phase. The document outlines various generic precautionary measures to be adopted in addition to specific measures to be taken at yoga institutes and gymnasiums to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The guidelines state that at the entry point at all such facilities, it is mandatory to have hand hygiene (sanitiser dispenser) and thermal screening provisions. "Only asymptomatic persons (including staff) be allowed in the premises. All persons to be allowed entry only if using face cover/masks," it said. "All members, visitors and staff may consider using Aarogya Setu application for risk identification at all times inside the yoga institute/ gymnasiums," the guidelines stated. It also stated that prior to exercising in gymnasiums using equipment for cardio, strength training, etc. middle finger be sanitised with alcohol swab and oxygen saturation be checked using pulse oximeter. Those having oxygen saturation below 95 per cent should not be allowed to exercise, it said. Call central/state helpline/ ambulance and refer such persons to the nearest health facility, the document added. It calls for ensuring minimum distance of six feet at all times in queues and proper crowd management in parking lots, corridors and in elevators -- duly following social distancing norms. It suggested staggering of visits of members with separate timing slots to allow for adequate physical distancing and disinfection of premises and equipment. "In yoga institutes, shoes/footwear are to be preferably taken off outside the premises where yoga exercises are done. If needed they should be kept in separate slots for each individual/family by the persons themselves," the guidelines said. Details of check-in and checkout times of members and visitors must be recorded along with their name, address and phone number, the document said. It also called for placing of equipment, including cardio and strength machines, six feet apart, wherever feasible, by moving equipment to facilitate social distancing. "Where available, utilize any outdoor space by relocating equipment outside. Create specific pathways for entering and exiting exercise areas within closed spaces using floor or wall markings," the guidelines stated. The document called for promoting card based/contactless payment. "For air-conditioning/ventilation, the guidelines of CPWD shall be followed which emphasizes that the temperature setting of all air conditioning devices should be in the range of 24-30 degrees Celsius, relative humidity should be in the range of 40- 70%, intake of fresh air should be as much as possible and cross ventilation should be adequate," the ministry said. "Lockers will remain in use, as long as social distancing is maintained. Ensure dustbins and trash cans are covered at all times," the guidelines stated. "Remove mask and wear visor as far as feasible while exercising," the document said. It also called for limiting the number of staff and members within the general gymnasium floor, specific workout areas and change rooms. Hand sanitiser stations must be provided near each gymnasium equipment and it should be ensured that members sanitise their hands before them, the guidelines stated. It also said that an ill person should be placed in a room or area where they are isolated from others. "Provide a mask/face cover till such time he/she is examined by a doctor. Immediately inform the nearest medical facility (hospital/clinic) or call the state or district helpline," the guidelines said. A risk assessment will be undertaken by the designated public health authority (district Rapid Response Team /treating physician) and accordingly further action be initiated regarding management of case, his/her contacts and need for disinfection, they said. Disinfection of the premises to be taken up if the person is found positive, the document said. The practice of Yogic Kriya(s) may be avoided for the time being and even if it is to be practised essentially, it may be done in open spaces, the guidelines said. India's new guidelines for gyms and yoga institutes that want to reopen

	"During this month, we have issued around 80 notices to various departments to check mosquito breeding on their premises," a senior NDMC official told PTI.
 

	The civic body has also constituted a four-member team after a meeting with the Director of the President's Estate to brainstorm ways and means to control mosquito breeding at Rashtrapati Bhavan at the earliest.
 

	"The team consists of one member each from sanitation and horticulture units at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and Malaria unit of NDMC Health Department.
 

	"This team will review the mosquitogenic conditions at various places in the President Estate and will help in precautionary as well as controlling measures," the official added.
 

	The council had last week issued challans to four hospitals including AIIMS and Safdarjung, various government offices and a school here after dengue mosquitoes were found breeding on their premises.
 "We had issued challans to four hospitals including AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, RML Hospital and <keyword id="209925" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Lady-Hardinge-Hospital">Lady Hardinge Hospital</keyword> after their premises were found to be breeding ground for mosquitoes," the official said. 

	The Ministries of Finance and Home Affairs, Bihar Bhawan, Sikkim Bhawan and Uttarakhand Bhawan were issued notices by the NDMC for mosquitogenic conditions on their premises. 
 

	The council staff had also detected heavy mosquito-breeding conditions in five embassies including that of Ghana, Ethiopia, Singapore, Malaysia, Bhutan, Ethiopia and the Czech Republic, but no challans have been issued to them as the civic-body doesn't have an authority to do so. 
 

	The action comes in wake of the rising figures of the total number of cases from the vector-borne disease which shoot to an alarming 530, with over 440 of them being reported in August only. Two deaths have been reported due to this disease this year. 
 

	The dengue cases in the city is up this year by 251 cases compared to what was recorded last year by this time. 
 

	"We have issued a total of 137 challans this season for mosquito breeding inside institutions and households and served 3215 notices. 
 

	"During the inspection, if the premises are tested positive for mosquito breeding, they are issued notices. But if no improvement is found in the hygiene conditions during the next inspection, the defaulters are issued challans," the official said. 
 

	Earlier this month, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) had also issued 80 challans to government and educational institutions in the city, including JNU, DDA, DTC and PWD, for breeding of mosquitoes in their premises. 
 

	Dengue a vector-borne disease, is transmitted by several species of mosquito within the genus Aedes. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. 
 

	Doctors say treatment is symptomatic with no specific cure, so if patients use pain medicines indiscriminately there is a risk of becoming resistant to these.
