The government has issued an ordinance stating that anyone found denying a "dignified burial or cremation of those who had died of a notified disease" could face one to three years in jail. The offence also comes with a fine, but the amount has not been specified. The ordinance comes after the burial two doctors who passed away from COVID-19, in two separate incidents, was met with public protests. Locals were against them being buried in fear of the coronavirus being spread. In the aftermath of both protests, the bodies had to buried in different locations since the offices could not perform the requisite formalities at the original burial sites. One was a neurosurgeon — doctor Simon Hercules — who had to be buried by his associate, an orthopaedic surgeon. He used his bare hands and a shovel at one of the crematoriums — with the help of two hospital ward boys — after the undertakes fled due to mob violence. Even after the relocation of the burial, where a group of people attacked the ambulance driver and other civic workers trying to help. The medical fraternity and political leaders in the Tamil Nadu condemned the incident and demanded that such incidents should not be repeated. So far, around two dozen people have been arrested in connection with the latest incident under the Epidemic Diseases Act and Indian Penal Code sections 147 (rioting), 148 (armed with deadly weapons), 307 (attempt to murder) and 332 (obstructing a public servant). The local police have also issued a warning that the Goondas Act can also be invoked against those preventing burial or victims of COVID-19. In order to prevent to spread of Coronavirus, the state has issued an "intense lockdown" in five cities — Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem and Tirupur. It’s one of the worst-hit states by the Coronavirus in India. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu has a total of 1,821 reported COVID-19 cases, with 960 cured and 23 deaths. Chennai, on its own, has reported 495 cases, which makes up for one-third of the cases in Tamil Nadu. Denying last rites of people who have died from Coronavirus will attract a 3 year jail term in Tamil Nadu

Rajasthan recorded 58 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the state's virus tally to 2,141, an official said.The state has so far seen 35 deaths due to the virus, with Jaipur accounting for 19 deaths. "As many as 58 fresh cases have been reported in seven districts of the state, including 20 in Nagaur district," Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said. Besides Nagaur, 15 cases were reported from Jodhpur, 11 from Kota, seven from Jaipur, three from Kota and one each in Hanumangarh and Jhalawar. A total of 2,141 cases of the virus have been reported in the state so far. He said so far 513 patients have tested negative for the infection after treatment, of which 213 have been discharged from hospitals. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan includes two Italian citizens and 61 people brought from Iran to Army health centres in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. The entire state is under lockdown since March 22 and a massive survey and screening is underway to track the people infected with the virus. Rajasthan records 58 new cases of Coronavirus

Railways has begun preparing to resume all its services from April 15 after a 21-day suspension of its passenger trains in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Sources said all railway safety personnel, running staff, guards, TTE and other officials have been told to be ready to join their posts from April 15. Trains, however, will begin operations only after a green signal from the government which had formed a Group of Ministers (GoM) on the issue. Meanwhile, the railways has issued a "restoration plan" to all its railway zones with a schedule of trains to be run, their frequency and the availability of rakes. All 17 zones have been sent a missive to be prepared to run their respective services, the source said. Around 80 per cent trains are expected to run as per schedule from April 15 which include Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto trains. Local trains too are likely to begin operations. Sources say the railways is likely to also conduct thermal screening on all passengers and follow all protocols as advised by the government. Senior officials, however, said no fresh orders have been issued and since cancellations were only upto April 14 "no fresh orders required for starting with effect from April 15." Sources said a concrete action plan will be sent to the zones later this week. In an unprecedented move, the railways had suspended the services of 13,523 trains for 21 days after the lockdown was announced by the PM on March 24. Its freight trains however continued to run during this period.

Indian Railways wants to resume services from April 15 and has a 'restoration plan' in place

By Neelabh Srivastava New Delhi, Mar 29 () Over 450 doctors recruited recently as medical officers in the CAPFs have been asked to join service "immediately" as the forces are ramping up their healthcare setup to combat COVID-19, a top paramilitary officer said on Sunday. Retired medical officers have been "alerted" and modalities are being worked on to hire doctors on contractual service to man the chain of the forces' country-wide hospitals and quarantine centres that have a combined strength of more than 7,200 beds, ITBP Director General (DG) Surjeet Singh Deswal told . "Over 450 doctors who were recruited as medical officers for all the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) recently have been called to join duty immediately...with no loss of time. "They will enhance our strength in combating the situation arising out of the coronavirus outbreak in the country," Deswal said. A senior official said the plan was formulated at the ITBP headquarters and top-level sanctions were obtained from the Union Home Ministry before summoning these doctors. These doctors, the DG said, were recruited recently by the government for the CAPFs and ITBP was the nodal agency for their recruitment. The CAPFs have a combined strength of over 2,000 doctors and specialists at present apart from other paramedical staff. These doctors are being posted to CAPF hospitals and bases near their place of stay so that they can join without having to travel far, the ITBP chief said. The government had recently taken over the chain of 32 CAPF hospitals across the country, with a total capacity of about 1,900 beds, for isolation and treatment of COVID-19 affected patients. These forces comprise the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Border Security Force (BSF), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Elite counter-terror force National Security Guard (NSG) is also part of this wide setup of medical facilities being prepared in view of the increasing number of cases of coronavirus infections being reported from across the country. "We are also preparing modalities to hire doctors on contract to work at our health facilities even as we have alerted those who have retired from service. Those who have superannuated are being asked to remain on standby as their services may be required anytime," Deswal said. The ITBP, which is primarily tasked to guard the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, is also running a 1,000-bed quarantine in Delhi's Chhawla area. A total of 418 Indians evacuated from Italy using special flights are housed at this facility at present, even as 518 citizens and foreigners have been discharged till now from here. Deswal said the force, apart from round-the-clock medical monitoring and providing essential services of food and entertainment to the inmates, has now begun counselling them. "Some of the people who have been evacuated from COVID-19-affected countries and are kept at our centre have high anxiety levels as they have seen devastation all around. That is normal for a human. "We have begun their counselling and are motivating them by presenting them the facts about this viral diseases and success stories," Deswal, a 1984-batch Haryana cadre IPS officer, said. At present, he is also heading the BSF as an additional charge. The DG said the morale of the force doctors and other staff members at the Chhawla camp is "high and they are committed in this fight against coronavirus". They are very happy to do this national duty and we have provided all protective gear to all of them, he said. The DG had on Saturday issued a message to the around 90,000-strong force that troops should be ready for any national duty that may be entrusted on them in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, and COVID-19 safety guidelines should be followed diligently. The CAPFs also reported their first case of coronavirus infection on Saturday, with a BSF officer and a CISF jawan being found positive. The CAPFs, which have around 10 lakh personnel, work under the command of the Home Ministry and are deployed to render a variety of internal security duties apart from border-guarding. Addressing the media here, R. Ganga Ketkar of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said, " The ICMR network's capacity utilisation is around 30%. We have increased the number of labs. 113 have been made functional and 47 more private labs approved." The Indian government yesterday (March 31) allowed 47 private labs across the country to conduct tests. The ICMR has allowed 10 private labs to conduct the tests in Maharashtra, eight each in Delhi and Telangana, five in Haryana, four each in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, two each in Kerala and West Bengal and one each in UP and Odisha. According to a statement by ICMR, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, as on March 27 the number of approved government laboratories stands at 122. Of this, 113 labs are operational and the remaining 9 are in the process. According to the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, the Covid-19 toll has risen to 38 and number of cases to 1466. "To think that something that barely closes for hurricanes and stuff is shut down, was kind of crazy," said the Walt Disney World cosmetologist who has worked in the Florida theme park for the last eight years.Gainey was one of <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/12/business/disney-furloughs-coronavirus.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">43,000 Disney workers,</a> or "cast members," who were furloughed from work in April after the parks closed in March for the first time since the 9/11 attacks. Now, after nearly three months, Gainey and thousands of other Central Florida-based employees have been called back to staff the parks during a staggered reopening process that began July 11."We're encouraged by our guests' positive feedback and cast members' diligence for our phased reopening and are grateful for their support of the new measures we've added," a Disney spokesperson said in a statement. "We are taking a cautious and deliberate approach which allows us to evaluate and adjust along the way, as the situation evolves."Business Insider spoke to four cast members who have recently been called back to Walt Disney World regarding their experiences returning to work with new guidelines amid the pandemic. Each reported feeling that Disney had thus far succeeded in creating safe conditions for reopening. At the same time, cast members described a fundamental shift in their jobs, with physical and social barriers making it harder to keep the magic alive at the "Happiest Place on Earth."<h2>How Disney readied its parks for a pandemic</h2>Before its staggered reopening process began in early July, Disney <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> it would limit the daily capacity of guests in its parks, increase social distancing and cleaning measures, and require all visitors over the age of two and cast members to wear face masks while in the parks. Many of the new safety procedures were implemented in conjunction with Unite Here! Local 362, a union representing 5,000 Disney World park greeters, attractions workers, and custodians.Armed with new safety guidelines, materials, and protocols, Disney reopened two of its four parks on July 11. The next day, Florida hit a <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/florida-reports-a-record-high-15299-new-coronavirus-infections-2020-7" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new record</a> for daily coronavirus cases with more than 15,000 infections."To their credit, Disney is being very responsive," said Unite Here! Local 362 president Eric Clinton, who has worked closely with Disney throughout the entire closing, furlough, and reopening process. Disney said that it still shapes and updates its safety protocol based on feedback from cast members and guidance from public health and government authorities.In negotiating conditions for the return to work, the union bargained for Disney to provide each cast member with a thermometer upon request to self-monitor and for a more lenient attendance policy that does not penalize employees for missing extra days due to illness.<div type="image" title="Disney Springs world of disney signs" height="1500" width="2000" msid="77242954" hostid="261"></div>Speaking to Business Insider from within a routine check-in at Animal Kingdom last week, Clinton said the union also addresses problems as they arise in real-time. For example, Disney World recently updated its initial guidelines and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/disney-world-updates-mask-rules-coronavirus-bans-walking-while-eating-2020-7" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banned guests from eating while walking</a> after feedback from cast members via the union."There's trepidation involved," said Paul Cox, an <keyword id="4578" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="entertainment">entertainment</keyword> technician who works in Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports. Cox was called back to work at the end of June to assist with the opening of the NBA season in the complex."But I do believe that it is as safe as possible given the current circumstances," he said.A Disney veteran of over 10 years and the president of <a href="https://www.iatselocal631.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IATSE Local 631,</a> a union that represents stagehands and show technicians at Disney World, Cox was also involved in negotiations regarding reopening. So far, the technician said he is impressed with the results."I feel safer going to work than I do going to Publix," a local grocery store, said Cox, a sentiment that is shared by the other three cast members that spoke to Business Insider.Bill Coan, CEO and president of entertainment solutions and technology company ITEC Entertainment and a former attractions developer for Walt Disney Imagineering, said the reopening is just another testament to the capabilities of the mammoth company, which he regards as the "Gold Standard" when it comes to entertainment and safety."I would say that it's a significant success," said Coan, whose company developed a health and safety solution for theme parks to safely reopen.<h2>'Survivor's guilt'</h2>Despite feeling safe, cast members said fundamental changes have made for a new atmosphere in the parks. On top of learning new safety and cleaning protocols, getting used to the new environment at the "Happiest Place on Earth" has been more difficult than some cast members expected. At the most basic level, the mask requirement makes it harder for employees to convey a sign of friendliness via a simple smile. In other cases, the restrictions are less tangible, like not being able to take a family photo for a party. This small gesture is something Animal Kingdom attractions worker Jessica Lella said she has missed the most since returning to the park."It's a total different atmosphere," said Candyice Montville, a food and beverage worker at Disney's Animal Kingdom park. Montville described how she used to dance with and high-five guests regularly to make them feel welcome during pre-pandemic times. Now, she explained, such interactions are considered risky."That's a challenge for us too and for them, because we're all social people," the Disney cast member of two years said.Disney said it is working with cast members to rethink guest services by using techniques such as smiling with their eyes, waving from a distance, and encouraging selfies among guests.Meanwhile, some of the theme parks' <a href="https://wdwnews.com/fact-sheets/2014/10/31/walt-disney-world-fun-facts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">70,000 cast members</a> have still not been called back to the park, including about <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/disney-world-actors-battle-their-union-for-right-to-return-to-work-11595433241" target="_blank" rel="noopener">750 performers</a> represented by the New York-based Actors' Equity Association. According to Disney, the decision to call cast members back is based on a variety of factors, though the plan is to bring more back eventually. The company added that it is still paying health care premiums for eligible cast members who are furloughed.Still, some fortunate enough to return to work have described feeling uncomfortable with their luck."I almost have a sense of survivor's guilt every day when I go to work." Cox, the entertainment technician, related. Gainey also described feeling a sense of survivor's guilt, especially as unemployment benefits begin to run out."We're very grateful to be at our jobs and to be back and it's so nice to see everyone," the cosmetologist said, describing how many of her guest-facing roles — like styling hair for a Disney-based wedding or in the currently-closed Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street — have been halted for now. "But it's very, very different. And stressful."Luckily for Disney employees, keeping up a positive attitude isn't anything they aren't used to."We're here to make magic, regardless of the situation," Montville said. "Because people come to Disney to have fun."

Cases in some states that were previously hit hard and got the virus under control have <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkLevineNYC/status/1278682057565179906?s=20">also started to rise again</a>. The economic recovery is stalling.Meanwhile, the situation in Europe and other countries that handled the coronavirus well is the opposite. Life is returning to normal. So is economic activity. Alas, our President continues to refuse to order or even recommend this. — HBTrump still thinks he can choose between emphasizing the virus or the economy, Republicans share in that delusion.As Blodget suggests, most Americans know that the pandemic and the economy are inextricably linked, and they're showing it with their wallets. Starting on June 12, when the virus started to surge again in states like Texas and Florida, consumer confidence started to trend down substantially, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/MorningConsult/status/1277680735844007936?s=20&amp;utm_campaign=wp_the_finance_202&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=newsletter&amp;wpisrc=nl_finance202rc=nl_finance202">Morning Consult.</a>In other words, Americans understand that it's not safe to engage in the same economic activity they used to during the pandemic. We have a demand problem stemming from the virus' very existence.Unfortunately, this appears to be lost on Trump and his aides, according to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/01/politics/donald-trump-coronavirus-response/index.html">CNN</a>. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Jared Kushner reportedly want Trump to stop talking about the virus and instead emphasize the economy. They are operating under the delusion that this is a real choice, as if the pandemic is not what is crippling the economy. The Republican party at large shares this fantasy. Take, for example, the debate over <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-trump-administration-threatening-throw-us-economy-off-a-cliff-2020-6">continuing enhanced unemployment benefits</a>for Americans out of work. It's an extra $600 on weekly <keyword id="6358907" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="unemployment">unemployment</keyword> benefit checks that is set to expire at the end of the month. Republicans want this supplement to fade out because some Americans are making more money staying at home than they were going to work.We'll set aside what that says about the state of wages for many working Americans, especially <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/05/21/essential-workers-pay-wages-safety-unemployment/">essential workers who make less than the benefit</a>. This also reveals that Republicans don't understand the problem at hand. Republicans think they have a choice between sending Americans back to work in a pandemic and continuing to pay them to stay home. They don't. If the pandemic is not under control (it is not), businesses will continue to shut down, employees will be scared to go to work, and our demand problem will persist. Many workers simply won't be needed.The government should be paying people to stay home in these circumstances. It's better for the economy if people can still pay their bills, so Americans aren't trapped in debt and real damage isn't done to the financial system when this is all over. It's also easier to implement social distancing if people stay home, which will help slow the spread of the virus. So Trump and Republicans are looking at this wrong. They think they have a choice between the virus and the economy. Actual demand in the economy is still far from normal levels — the CEO of Delta Airlines said this morning that the airline expects to carry <a href="https://twitter.com/e_russell/status/1278661955688058881">less than a fifth</a> of the number of passengers this weekend that flew last July 4th weekend — so some of these re-hirings may be temporary.Also, the number of "permanent" job losses <a href="https://twitter.com/NickTimiraos">rose</a> in June. And initial unemployment claims in the past week <a href="https://twitter.com/DanielAlpert/status/1278661376093945862">were still extremely high</a>. Insider contributor Dan Alpert notes further that the rate of "underemployment" remains extreme and that most of the new jobs created in June were <a href="https://twitter.com/DanielAlpert/status/1278672224761905154?s=20">crappy low-wage jobs</a>. The 'economy or virus' delusion

<ul><li>The <keyword id="541763" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Telangana-Government">Telangana government</keyword> has asked private medical college hospitals to provide Coronavirus treatment.</li><li>A total of 15,500 beds have been requested by the government, out of which 1,100 are in intensive care units.</li><li>The government will provide these hospitals with the drugs, PPE kits, N95 masks and other disposables needed.</li></ul>The Telangana government has ordered private medical college hospitals to provide Coronavirus treatment in the state. The list includes 21 medical college hospitals which have a cumulative 15,500 beds, out of which 10,000 beds will be used initially. The Telangana government has been in talks with these colleges to offer their attached hospitals for the treatment of Coronavirus. These hospitals totally have 1,100 beds in Intensive Care Units (ICU) and 200 ventilators. According to a PTI report, the government will start using these private hospital facilities from April 10. The government will provide the necessary drugs, PPE, N95 masks and other disposables. No leaves to junior doctors, faculty The medical colleges have been asked to not grant any leaves to their doctors and faculty. “You are also requested not to grant leaves to junior doctors, faculty and other healthcare staff,” said Etela Rajender, the Minister for Medical &amp; Health and Family Welfare. Coronavirus cases in Telangana cross 400 with 11 deaths Confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Telangana crossed the 400 mark on April 8, along with 11 deaths. Currently, out of the 404 confirmed cases, 348 cases are active while 45 have recovered. All the 11 deaths are of the attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat event that was held in Delhi from March 13 to 15. It was for the fifth consecutive day that COVID-19 cases have increased by more than 28,000. The huge surge in cases has led several states to reimpose lockdown for varying periods. Just two states -- Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu -- account for 48 per cent of the country's total active caseload, the health ministry said. Ten states including Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu reported 84.62 per cent of the total active caseload, it said, adding the Centre continues to handhold these states in matters of containment and effective clinical management. Maharashtra on Thursday recorded its highest single day spike of 8,641 new coroanvirus cases, taking the tally to 2,84,281, the state health department said. With 266 new fatalities being recorded, the death toll due to the pandemic reached 11,194, it said in a statement. Tamil Nadu's tally of positive cases stood at 1,56,369 with the addition of 4,549 new cases, a health department bulletin said. The death toll stood at 2,236. Delhi is the only other state or union territory to have over one lakh COVID-19 cases and it is in the third position with a tally of 1,18,645 while the death toll mounted to 3,545, authorities said. This is the sixth consecutive day when fresh coronavirus cases have been reported in the national capital in the range of 1,000-2,000. India's first COVID-19 case was detected on January 30 in Kerala. "Of the total COVID-19 cases, 63.25 per cent have recovered so far. Simultaneously, there has been a steady dip in the number of active cases, from around 45 per cent in mid-June to around 34.18 per cent as of now," the health ministry said. A total of 20,783 people have recuperated in the past 24 hours, the highest number of recoveries in a day, taking the total number of recovered cases to 6,12,814. "Focus on early identification and clinical management is aiding recoveries in COVID-19 patients. Now, the recoveries exceed active cases by 2,81,669," the ministry said. The recoveries are 1.85 times the number of active cases, it added. The ministry said the recovery rate rose to 50 per cent mid-June and thereafter there has been a steady rise in recoveries and a decline in the number of active cases. The ministry said the actual caseload of COVID-19 has remained limited and manageable due to proactive containment measures such as house-to-house survey, perimeter control activities, timely contact tracing, <keyword id="9244904" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="aggressive-testing">aggressive testing</keyword> and timely diagnosis, and effective clinical management of moderate and severe cases through a well-implemented standard of care protocol increasing their chances of recovery. Hospital infrastructure includes 1,381 Dedicated <keyword id="8954969" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="covid-hospitals">COVID Hospitals</keyword>, 3,100 Dedicated COVID Healthcare Centres and 10,367 COVID Care Centres with a total of 46,666 ICU beds. "Collaborative strategy among the Centre and states has also ensured that the growth of COVID-19 cases is restricted to certain pockets of the country," the ministry said in a statement. The ministry said that as per the test, trace, treat strategy, the central government is driving enhanced testing initiatives in states and union territories as a result, of which there has been a steady rise in the number of testing labs across the country. The increased testing is in accordance with the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) guidelines and has helped in early detection of cases. The testing includes the RT-PCR which is the golden standard of the COVID-19 testing. This has been augmented with Rapid Antigen Point of Care (POC) testing that gives results within half-hour. "This has resulted in ramped up testing in the containment and buffer zones. This has significantly helped in controlling the spread of the infection," the ministry said. The ministry said that 3,26,826 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of 1,27,39,490 samples tested so far has translated to a figure of 9231.5 testing per million for India. All registered medical practitioners can now recommend testing. This coupled with the facilitation of widespread testing by states and UTs through the RT-PCR, TrueNat and CBNAAT lab network has contributed to a surge in the number of samples tested, it said. The testing lab network in the country is further strengthened with 1.234 labs in the country; 874 labs in the government sector and 360 private labs. Joint efforts by the Centre, states and Union Territories to increase testing capacity, ramping up health infrastructure, prioritising surveillance in SARI/ILI cases, and ensuring mapping of the aged population and those with comorbidities have led to continuous improvement in recovery rates across India, the ministry added. The Ministry of External Affairs issued the tourist visas for foreigners who wished to take part in the Tablighi Jamaat activities. The Delhi government and Delhi police were tasked with ensuring that their order should have been followed through. In fact, the Hazrat Nizamuddin Police Station is right next to the Nizamuddin Markaz. Delhi government claims that the gathering was a criminal act. The congregation should have dispersed once the the directive prohibiting public gathering under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and the Delhi Epidemic Diseases COVID-19 Regulation, 2020 was in place. According to Markaz officials, no new people were allowed to enter the building after the lockdown was announced and as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement, they stay put instead of risking movement. They assert that the gathering had already begun before either Kerjiwal or Modi's lockdown announcements. However once the the announcement was made, the people at Nizammudin Markaz did not evacuate to implement social distancing. It was on March 23, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Janata Curfew, that around 1,500 people finally left the premises. A day later, the nationwide lockdown was put into place for the next 21 days. Adhering the the new regulations, the Nizamuddin Police reportedly asked the people who were still at the Markaz to leave on March 24. However, nearly 1,000 people continued to stay put despite the lockdown orders. A day later, on March 25, a medical team finally visits the building — isolating those who are suspected of having Coronavirus in an empty hall within the Markaz. Only then do the Jamaat officials go the authorities to file an application for passes in order to vacate the area. According to the deputy chairman of the SDMC standing committee, Rajpal Singh, the Markaz building is an unauthorised construction. There are over 20,000 residents in the area who may have been exposed to someone with Covid-19. In addition, the Nizamuddin Sufi shrine is a tourist attraction where people gather in large numbers — from all across the country and the world. <div type="image" title="niza3" msid="74907944" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Medical camps set up in the Nizamuddin area&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Sealing off Nizamuddin Special teams have been deployed to track who came into contact with the deceased at the event, to test them for Coronavirus and ensure that they remain under quarantine until cleared. Drones are also being used to monitor the area around the Markaz building. The Telangana government also offered free tests and treatment to anyone who was at the event, if they came forward. To keep the infection from spreading, the entire area has been cordoned off by the police and paramilitary personnel. A screening camp has been established to keep track of any individual who exhibits symptoms of Coronavirus.
