The three-day annual management-cultural fest, IRIS 2016, kicked off with students of <keyword id="150302" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="IIM-Indore">IIM Indore</keyword> attempting to make world's largest <keyword id="3869751" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="condom-mosaic">condom mosaic</keyword>. 
 Using 4964 packets of condoms, 21 students from IIM Indore created a mosaic symbol in an area of 22 square feet. All of them were eyeing the <keyword id="6605593" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Guiness-Book-of-World-Records">Guiness Book of World Records</keyword>. 
 
 
However, it seems they were unable to beat the previous record because <a href="http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/largest-condom-mosaic">Guiness</a><a href="http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/largest-condom-mosaic"> Website still quotes IIM Lucknow as the record holder</a> - "The largest condom mosaic measures 18.51 m² (199.24ft²) and was created by UPSACS, INDEX IIM lucknow and HLFPPT (all India), in Lucknow, India, on 16 November 2014." 
 Nevertheless, IRIS has become synonymous with <keyword id="129119" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Guinness-World-Records">Guinness World Records</keyword>, where every year the IRIS team tries to create a world record which gives a social message and is in line with the sponsor's activities. The event sees participation from students from premier B-schools across the country. 
 
So far, IIM Indore has created the world record of largest pencil mosaic and largest greeting card mosaic. The students have also attempted to break the World Record for the largest glass bottle mosaic. 
 
"This year the team attempted for the largest condom mosaic record, to create awareness about the issues which go unaddressed and people are afraid of talking about," said IIM Indore officials. 
 
"The three-day fest aims to bring together around 7000 participants for more than 24 competitions, creating an amalgamation of talent and action and developing a platform for the youth to explore their talents. The fest would witness participants from the top institutes of India, presenting their skills in cultural, management and literary events," they added. 
 
Interestingly, for the previous record for condom mosaic, IIM-Lucknow students used 1000 packets to create a huge sign of AIDS awareness in 18.5 square feet area. This is what their symbol looked like: 
 
They had beaten the record by AIDS Control Society of Hong Kong, which used 685 condoms packets to create the largest condom mosaic back then.

Scientists at the <keyword id="150557" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="University-of-Oxford">University of Oxford</keyword> have started vaccinations of a <keyword id="11578976" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="novel-hiv-vaccine">novel HIV vaccine</keyword> candidate as part of a Phase I clinical trial in the UK. The goal of the trial is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of the HIVconsvX vaccine -- a mosaic vaccine targeting a broad range of HIV-1 variants, making it potentially applicable for HIV strains in any geographical region. Thirteen healthy, HIV-negative adults, aged 18-65 and who are considered not to be at high risk of infection, will initially receive one dose of the vaccine followed by a further booster dose at four weeks. "An effective <keyword id="1180256" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="HIV-vaccine">HIV vaccine</keyword> has been elusive for 40 years. This trial is the first in a series of evaluations of this novel vaccine strategy in both HIV-negative individuals for prevention and in people living with HIV for cure," said lead researcher Tomas Hanke, Professor of <keyword id="11578973" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="vaccine-immunology">Vaccine Immunology</keyword> at the Jenner Institute at <keyword id="46985" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Oxford">Oxford</keyword>, in a statement. While most HIV vaccine candidates work by inducing antibodies generated by B-cells, HIVconsvX induces the immune system's potent, pathogen obliterating T cells, targeting them to highly conserved and therefore vulnerable regions of HIV -- an "Achilles heel" common to most HIV variants. "Achieving protection against HIV is extremely challenging and it is important that we harness the protective potential of both the antibody and T cell arms of the immune system," said <keyword id="11578975" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="paola-cicconi">Paola Cicconi</keyword>, Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the Jenner Institute. At present, prevention of HIV largely focuses on behavioural and biomedical interventions such as voluntary medical male circumcision, condom use, and anti-retroviral drugs used prior to exposure. The researchers aim to report results of the trial by April 2022. Similar trials are also planned in Europe, Africa and the US. In what could be a big breakthrough in medical science, researchers at the University of Oxford start phase-1 trial of a novel HIV vaccine

Kim Goodman (USA) can pop her eyeballs to a protrusion of 12 mm (0.47 in) beyond her eye sockets. Her eyes were measured in Istanbul, Turkey, on 2 November 2007. 
 
Measuring the pop is an exact science that has to be done by an optometrist using a device known as a proptometer; an average of three measurements gives the final, eye‑watering result. 
 
“Proptosis” is the term for eyeball displacement or bulging eyes. Kim discovered her talent when she was hit on the head by a hockey mask, but can now pop out her eyes on cue. 
 
Longest kiss 
The longest kiss lasted 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds and was achieved by Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat (both Thailand) at an event organised by Ripley's Believe It or Not! Pattaya, in Thailand, on 12-14 February 2013. Nine couples entered the annual competition, including a married couple in their 70s. However, it was previous record holders Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat who came out on top, scooping a cash prize and two diamond rings as well as another Guinness World records title.
