"I think it's an exciting one. I guess you look at the Test matches in the past against England, whether it be home or away, they've always tended to be reasonably exciting. So, I'm sure this series will be no different. "They've got an attacking brand that they like to play and I'm sure it will be no different in terms of how they like to approach it. The goal was to declutter my grandmother's house, which has been bursting with things since she moved in many decades ago, and other family members also joined the cause.It took massive effort and we all had to work together, but it was worth it.<h2 id="1b8f62cc-8bd5-4ac4-9c29-c2294708de3e">We spent a lot of time organizing the garage sale together</h2>All three generations of my family combined our things for the two-day garage sale, where we grouped items, laid them out on tables, and invited neighbors and passersby to peruse. Why was I holding onto those items? Was it because I used them frequently, or was it sentimental? I have dreams of one day owning a house with a grand library, but prepping for it and stocking it now isn't practical for my NYC apartment.Like many members of my family, I had to think about what we were actually still using and whether certain items would have a new life in someone else's hands while we were decluttering. However, if you're doing a mixed load consisting of a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, a couple of towels, and a sheet, I recommend putting on the bedding/bulky cycle.You can also use the quick wash option as well. However, the items inside may get a shorter wash cycle than is needed. Some clothes need a longer wash cycle — for example, your family's sports choices.<h2 id="eb8317b4-8a94-417b-a2c1-6be13a35945a">Here's a checklist of dryer do's and don'ts</h2>Some items can and should be dried using a drying rack.Not all items washed in the washing machine need to go into your dryer. For example, if you'd like the jeans to last longer, you have them hung dry or brought to a dry cleaner, especially if they are black; you don't want the colors to fade.Some items, especially those with embellishments, need to be hand-washed. Bathroom rugs need to be refreshed in the dryer or shaken outside, at minimum, weekly.When washing a comforter, quilt, blanket, or event sheets, you can let them air dry as soon as they come out of the washing machine. Then, refresh in the dryer to give it a soft feel to save energy and save on your electric bill.<h2 id="9e3d21a4-a0c6-4471-9e94-5e6ab8c5f4b7">Do this to leave your floors sparkling</h2>Hand- and foot-washing your floors helps keep you fit and your home clean. Cleaning a home is a full-body workout. The more you clean, the cleaner your home will be, and your body will thank you for the exercise. The closer you are to the floor, the more you will see with hand washing. The dirtier the floor is, foot washing will help make cleaning easier and offer a deeper clean due to the strength of your legs.Mops are only sometimes necessary. Should you use a traditional mop to wash your floors, you could miss quite a bit of debris, and you'll need to clean the mop head, which creates more laundry items. <h2 id="f9a7d2dc-721e-4d90-aa92-fc710ab75234">Don't forget to clean kitchen cabinets and shelves</h2>If your kitchen cabinets aren't flush with the ceiling and you have an air conditioning vent just over the top of the cabinet and just underneath is your stove, the air blowing out of the air conditioning is not only spreading the dirt around the house. It is also getting in the food that you are serving your family. I recommend this type of cleaning quarterly, semi-annually, and, at the very least, annually.

Google powers most of its cloud operations and services through electricity procured from the grid and is planning to run the entire operations on clean energy by 2030. Adani is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025. At the '<keyword id="23413952" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Google-for-India" source="keywords">Google for India</keyword>' event, the search giant also announced a partnership with CleanMax for sourcing 125.4 MW of clean energy to power its offices and cloud regions in India. Of the contracted volumes, 66 MW solar energy will come from Rajasthan and 59.4 MW wind energy from Karantaka. "These projects are expected to start commercial operations in Q4 2025 and will deliver <keyword id="22243112" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="carbon-free-energy" source="keywords">carbon-free energy</keyword> to the grid where Google operates offices and cloud regions in India," Google said. While Google made the announcement at the 'Google for India' event here, the Adani Group gave details in a statement. "Through this partnership Adani will supply clean energy from a new solar-wind hybrid project located in the world's largest renewable energy plant at Khavda, Gujarat. This new project is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025," the Adani group statement said. This innovative collaboration will help advance Google's 24/7 carbon-free energy goal by ensuring cloud services and operations in India are supported by clean energy and thereby contribute to the <keyword id="20289318" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sustainable-growth" source="keywords">sustainable growth</keyword> of Google in India. Adani had previously announced plans to set up data centres run on clean energy. It had in October 2022 leased 4.64 lakh square feet of space at its data centre in Noida to Raiden Infotech, an entity of Google.

When the <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/school-start-times-in-conflict-dont-mesh-with-work-2023-9">kids aren't in school</a> or at day care, Nostrum's grandparents watch them as Nostrum works as a postmaster and her partner works in a welding shop. Day care for the two younger kids costs $650 every two weeks, or over $1,300 a month. Nostrum's town is very rural — about 45 minutes away from the nearest store. Like many rural Americans, she has limited options for childcare and other support. "There are not a lot of options to create a village, no after or before school programs, etc," she said. <h2>A Texas mom of 3: $1,090 a month</h2><a target="_blank" href="https://www.instagram.com/notastarvingartistgirl/?hl=en">Jessica Lemmons</a> lives in Bryan, Texas, with her husband and three kids, ages 10, 5, and 2. She pays about $1,090 a month for childcare, which includes day care tuition for her youngest and occasional babysitting for all three. The costs would be a lot higher if Lemmons couldn't count on <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/having-children-pushed-me-away-from-my-career-2022-4">unpaid help</a> from friends and bartering the skills of her husband, who is a chef. "I am very fortunate in that I have close friends here who are childless by choice, who genuinely love spending time with my kids," she said. "I do make sure I have the capacity to feed them tasty meals whenever they're doing so." <h2>Mom of 1, outside Chicago: $2,000+ a month</h2><a target="_blank" href="https://www.lorealthompsonpayton.com/">L'Oreal Thompson Payton</a>, a freelance writer who lives outside Chicago, pays $497 each week to send her 3-year-old to preschool. On rare occasions, she <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/i-saved-childcare-costs-by-swapping-babysitting-with-a-mom-2021-10">uses a babysitter</a>. She and her husband also pay $25 an hour for a cleaner and hire one occasionally if they have guests coming to stay. While she pays for some of her village, Thompson Payton also cultivates unpaid support by connecting with day care parents and neighbors who also have young children. While the costs are high, Thompson Payton said the benefits are well worth the money. "I think there's a lot of unnecessary guilt and shame that can come up with having a 'paid' village,'" she said. "As much as I love being a mom, it's important for me, my sanity, and our marriage that I have an identity outside that, which would simply not be possible if we didn't have paid support." <h2>Mom of 2 in Tennessee: $520 a month</h2>Miriam Udy was paying $1,600 a month for childcare in <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/intergenerational-living-benefits-for-kids-free-babysitting-2024-10">the San Francisco Bay Area</a> when she got pregnant with her second. She and her husband relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, in part because they couldn't afford to pay more than $3,000 a month in childcare costs. After moving, she paid $520 a month for care for her daughter. Her son qualified for free preschool because he has special needs. Now that both kids are in school, Udy is looking for a helper to get the kids off the bus, do homework with them, and drive them to activities. She also budgets for summer camp costs, which exceeded $4,000 last year. <h2>A mom of 2 in New York: $500 a month</h2>Aghogho Oluese quit her job when she got pregnant with her second. "The cost of childcare was so high that I would've only netted $500 a month if I had stayed in my former job," she said. She provides the bulk of childcare for her two children but still pays to build her village. Overall, she spends about $500 a month on paid help. "I wouldn't be able to do all that I do during the day without it," she said. The most notable trend in EV penetration has been witnessed in the three-wheeler category, where EVs have surged ahead in overall sales. "Cities contribute less than 20 per cent to the overall state emissions, wherever they have been assessed, but household emissions predominate, ranging between 20 per cent and 40 per cent. Across the country, we are seeing is that sometimes cities are cleaner than the surrounding villages where household air pollution predominates," she said at the summit organised by think-tank Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy. This builds a strong case for expanding the scope of India's National Clean Air Programme (<keyword id="20133150" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="NCAP" source="keywords">NCAP</keyword>), which currently focuses on non-attainment cities. Air pollution is a major threat to public health and contributes to a significant amount of morbidity as well as mortality. Apart from PM2.5 and PM10, short-lived climate pollutants such as black carbon, methane, ozone, and hydrocarbons have the potential to harm the environment and warm the atmosphere even more than CO2. Black carbon can cause chronic respiratory illnesses, lung cancer, emphysema, pneumonia, asthma, heart disease, and low birthweight. "In terms of reducing our life expectancy, globally, PM2.5 is contributing to about 2.3 years of life lost. Just below that is tobacco. In fact, there's so much attention on tobacco and global frameworks for control, but not the same level of attention has been paid to PM2.5 and certainly not the same level of commitments," Swaminathan said. The impact of air pollution is not limited to public health but has a significant economic cost as well. Recently, the World Bank published a study highlighting that air pollution has resulted in a loss of around USD 8.1 trillion in 2019, which is 6.1 per cent of the global gross domestic product (GDP). "We are always talking about air pollution as a problem but studies also show a strong economic case for action on clean air. There are significant positive consequences to investing in cleaning up the air in terms of the return on investments. We know air pollution is not just bad for our health, but it's also bad for agriculture, because it reduces the sunlight that's reaching the crops and it's bad for our economy or any country's economy as it deters people from coming and living or visiting those places," Swaminathan added. Kalpana Balakrishnan, Director, WHO Collaborating Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, said that the main barrier to shifting to clean cooking fuels that can help reduce household air pollution levels is finance. "If we give free LPG to women for two years, they are unlikely to shift back to biomass cooking even if you remove the subsidies," she said. Through Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) launched in May 2016, more than 100 million households in India received LPG cylinders by the end of March 2023. Studies shows over 50 per cent of the households that received new LPG cylinders under PMUY did not choose to refill it even once. Around a third of the world's population - 2.4 billion people globally (including 500 million people in India) - still lack access to clean cooking solutions. Although the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG) claims that the country's household LPG "coverage" stands at 99.8 per cent, the National Family Health Survey conducted in 2019-21 (NFHS-5) shows that 41 per cent of the population still cooks on biomass.

Business Insider has verified the sale of the property with documentation. The following has been edited for length and clarity.I had a dream to create a village of Nordic-inspired cabins in the heart of Texas.I found a five-acre parcel of land in Waco on Zillow, just a few miles from my home. In March 2021, I purchased the land using a short-term loan and personal savings for $138,000.In nine and a half months, I managed the design and construction of a seven-unit <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/starting-successful-tiny-house-airbnb-business-tips-2023-1">micro-resort</a> with an immersive natural setting. I financed the build with a construction loan from a local community bank and through raising equity from friends and family. It cost $2.5 million to build, including a container pool and hot tubs, which we added later on.We launched in January 2022. A travel influencer who marketed the resort on Instagram helped us go viral and generate a huge number of bookings. It was like an instant goldmine.We went all in on Instagram, growing the brand through creating content and partnering with influencers. Some of our early guests became superfans, coming back multiple times a year and bringing others with them. In our first 12 months of being open, we brought in $860,000 in bookings.The entire time we operated the business, I kept in mind that if someone came and offered the right price and terms, I'd consider selling it. I believe that every material possession should have a price tag attached to it.I sold the property, called <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/tiny-house-airbnb-hotel-waco-texas-see-inside-2022-10">Live Oak Lake</a>, for $7 million in October 2023. I learned a lot about securing a deal, including the value of having a good broker and attorneys.<h2 id="25fde6b5-f457-43bf-be94-6ce8e4254041">The uniqueness of the property helped us get a good price on the sale</h2>Live Oak Lake was like my baby. I built it from the ground up.The first three months after we opened were challenging. I was learning how to integrate <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/real-estate-passive-income-hospitality-short-term-rental-airbnb-2024-10">property management software</a>, and my wife was doing the cleaning. We hired a part-time cleaning and guest communications manager and a part-time operations manager, who then ran the property after the first few months.I was then spending around five to 10 hours a week on the business, mostly doing marketing. Because you're open for business 24/7 in hospitality, some of those hours were late at night when guests were arriving late. I was doing personal branding and coaching alongside the hotel. My wife and I also did mission work with our church.Part of the reason I considered selling Live Oak Lake was because of the stress of running it. Even though I automated elements for efficiency, in <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/hiring-jobs-restaurants-hotels-leisure-hospitality-healthcare-government-2024-7">hospitality</a>, the guest experience is paramount. I was focused on blowing guests away and wanted to look at every single review. It was hard to unplug from the business.We listed Live Oak Lake for sale in the summer of 2022. Several parties were interested, but we felt the property was worth more. We removed that listing and raised the price by $1 million when we next listed in January 2023.A broker who specialized in outdoor hospitality reached out and helped me from there. When we relisted the property, the broker helped vet the interested parties.We were about to <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-sales-tips-for-closing-deals-faster-2016-5">close on a deal</a> for $6.5 million, but the buyers backed out the day before we were set to close. It was an emotional roller coaster.A few days later, we received another offer for $7 million from a private group of investors, which we were able to close on. The property is being run similarly to before, and some of my friends who I hired to manage things on the ground still work there.I think the uniqueness and novelty of the property, the audience we built, and the quality of the hospitality we offered helped us sell for that price.We weren't in a hurry to sell, but $7 million was a lot of money. Plus, I hit it off with the buyer and liked their vision. I felt they understood what made us special, like our social media following, direct bookings, and unique experience.<h2 id="c7a0c906-c322-4402-99d2-bf69962ff44c">I learned a valuable lesson about selling a property</h2>One thing I learned from the selling process was the importance of having good attorneys and a great <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/mortgages/how-to-find-real-estate-agent">broker</a>.Our broker was local, which was a huge help. There were a lot of <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/mortgages/home-inspection">property inspections</a> and meetings with prospective buyers. He could help with those things without me having to drop everything.He alleviated my emotional volatility and attachment to the property because I didn't have to be involved in every interaction. I'm a very detail-oriented person who likes to micromanage things. I needed to trust other people, like my attorneys and the broker, who could take my hands off of the selling process. I held the property just long enough to gain thorough experience operating a micro-resort and build it to a point where it was really valuable.Selling has alleviated stress in my life. I have an office and art studio in my backyard, where I can now work on other ventures as and when I want. I consult with other micro-resort developers, which is how I'm funding my lifestyle now.I think I would own and operate another project, but I'd want to hire a full-time manager that I could train to manage our operations.The Live Oak Lake project was an amazing project, a baptism by fire in the realms of <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/tips-real-estate-investing-expert-get-started-2024-2">real estate</a>, marketing, and hospitality.
