Chulbul Pandey will be Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s legendary character in the Dabangg franchise. The company says that this NFT is the first step towards its ambition of taking Bollywood to the metaverse. The company has partnered with the famed Cope Studio — which was recently acquired by Polygon — to create these cutting-edge NFTs. Chulbul Pandey NFT holders will also get exclusive access to special Bollywood virtual events in the Metaverse. “Metaverse is the next frontier across industries. Given its immense scope, it is inevitable that it comprises all the elements that can enhance the Bollywood experience for our movie-buff nation. Through the launch of this pioneering NFT that will prompt the foray into Metaverse, BollyCoin aims to be the vehicle that accelerates the adoption of Bollywood NFTs,” Kyle Lopes, cofounder and spokesperson of BollyCoin, said. Founded in October 2021, BollyCoin is that community-driven platform where Bollywood bonds with cryptocurrency. It also has its own cryptocurrency listed on the decentralized exchanges namely UniSwap and QuickSwap. <ul><li><keyword id="2721952" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="crypto" source="Orion">Crypto</keyword> investors around the world are also looking for more educational resources for investing in digital assets.</li><li><keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>, Brazil, and Hong Kong had the most first-time investors around the world.</li><li>More women are investing in cryptocurrencies than ever before.</li></ul>India is amongst the top three countries where crypto adoption has skyrocketed over the last three months. According to a <a href="https://www.gemini.com/state-of-crypto">report</a> by crypto exchange <keyword id="6358520" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gemini" source="Orion">Gemini</keyword>, over 54% of respondents from India were first-time investors in cryptocurrencies over the past year. The country ranked ahead of Brazil and Hong Kong, each of which had 51% of respondents saying they were first-time investors over the past year. The company surveyed about 30,000 individuals in 20 countries between November 2021 and February 2021, which includes 1706 respondents from India, 1700 from Brazil, and 1105 from Hong Kong. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="wazirx" comment="wazirx" text="wazirx">wazirx</cmsannotation> Further, the report also said that 41% of all respondents across the world were “crypto curious”. These are people “who do not currently own crypto, but are either interested in learning more or say they are likely to acquire cryptocurrency in the next year”, the report said. “Compared to other regions, nations in Europe had a high number of crypto-curious respondents. Ireland led among the crypto-curious with 58% saying they are interested in learning more about crypto or purchasing crypto in the coming year,” the report said. Perhaps an even more interesting nugget is that 47% of the respondents who planned to buy crypto for the first time in the next year were women. And amongst these respondents, “at least half” of the women were from developing nations like Israel, Indonesia, and Nigeria. “Conversely, in developed countries and regions, only a third of current crypto owners are women, including in the United States (32%), Europe (33%), and Australia (27%), said the report. Additionally, the report noted that users are more likely to seek education about cryptocurrencies now. 40% of the respondents globally said that more educational resources on cryptocurrency would help them get started in the industry; a stark difference from yesteryears when users were investing in crypto based on recommendations from friends. Only 22% of the respondents said they would take advice from friends for investing in crypto. India leads in the total number of first-time crypto investors in the last three months, according to a new report

<ul><li>During FY22, FIIs sold ₹1.40 lakh crore in equities compared to last year when it was a net buyer of ₹2.74 lakh crore.</li><li>Meanwhile, DIIs were net buyers of ₹1.26 lakh crore in first eleven months of FY22 compared to net net sale of ₹39,000 crore last year.</li><li>Markets do not seem to be intimidated by the selling spree of foreign investors as domestic investors have been at the rescue like never before.</li></ul>Indian equity markets have faced a myriad of challenges in the financial year that just ended (FY22), but it not only managed to survive, but thrive throughout the journey. Markets were resilient despite foreign institutional investors (FIIs) selling a huge amount of equities i.e., ₹1.40 lakh crore in FY22 compared to last year when it was a net buyer of ₹2.74 lakh crore. Since January 2022 till date, it has sold ₹10.13 lakh crore in Indian equities. All this because of the unexpected pandemic that hit the country badly followed by another event that escalated inflation in the country -- Russia-Ukraine war -- and most importantly because of monetary tightening in the US, which makes the US debt market more attractive to FIIs. And hence the huge sell-off. Apparently, this is one of the worst outflows from India by FIIs in many years. DIIs were net buyers of ₹1.26 lakh crore in first eleven months of FY22 compared to net net sale of ₹39,000 crore last year. Domestic Institutional Investors are institutions like insurance companies, mutual fund houses, pension funds, or provident funds. The constant surge in systematic investment plan (SIP) inflows is among reasons markets have been offsetting most of the selling pressure from foreign investors as every market correction is seen as an investment opportunity. The mutual fund industry has 5.17 crore SIP accounts with SIP assets under management (AUM) at ₹5.49 trillion as of February 2022. Apart from domestic institutional investors, retail and high-net worth individuals also played their part. However, the Indian market is supported by DII due to buying,” Amarjeet Maurya of Angel One. Tapering by the US Fed refers to when the Fed gradually decreases the asset purchase every month that it did to boost economic growth. “We are witnessing consistent buying by domestic investors in the face of unprecedented selling by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) during rare and extreme fear-inducing events seen over the past few years (COVID pandemic, Russia-Ukraine conflict, monetary tightening). This is a clear positive surprise and heralds the structural deepening of domestic savings into equities in India. Such behaviour of aggressive buying during declining stock prices by domestic investors should result in improved long-term outcomes for their portfolios vs buying in a high-optimism phase of the market, and thereby setting off a virtuous cycle,” said Axis Mutual Fund.
