I think the second I start moving, it's gonna be.... <br />Nico: One boob here, one boob out there. <br />Irene: Well, we'll wear it and see what happens. <br />Nico: So, here is the very large scarf that I ordered off of Amazon. I didn't want to, but I had to for time's sake, so it would get here on time for this video. An idea blossomed in my mind that I would do, like, this very 2000s Cheetah Girls-style top, complete with hair and makeup. I tried to do it very 2000s today to fit the aesthetic, and I'm very into this vision, so I kind of want to make it come to life. <br />Irene: So, I have a bunch of scarves. I went through my grandma's closet, and she actually had a lot of options, so here they are. This was the scarf I was originally thinking of. I forget where I got it, but I like the colors, it's very fun, and I think it's the right size 'cause it's definitely longer than my waist, so it'll definitely fit around me. But then I saw my grandma has this one. I might go with this, 'cause I think this will look really cute and like an actual top, you know? <br />Kyle: I'm getting much more excited to try out this challenge now, because this is my scarf, and I think it's adorable. I feel like this will fit well into the rest of my wardrobe, so if this challenge actually works out, I could wear this all the time. Irene: Two options here. Try not to get them tangled. One's a little bit thicker. One has, like, actually a little bit of a rope design, which might go really nicely, and then this one's just kind of like a traditional chain to hold up the scarf, 'cause I'm not sure if it matters how thick the chain has to be. So, I guess we'll find out. <br />Nico: So, we're just gonna go through these and see which one could possibly work. [gasps] Wait, I'm looking at this star one right here right now, and I'm already a little bit obsessed with that one, so we might have already made our decision. <br />Kyle: So, I snuck into my parents' room successfully. They're gonna be pretty mad if they see that this is on the internet somewhere 'cause it's not clean, but sorry. OK. This could be cool. I think this would go really well with my scarf because it has a little blue and it has gold. Maybe it will be a little unique from Irene and Nico's. And I'm also just gonna get excited about it because I don't really have any other options, so. <br />Nico: This end...this end to this end. And we're going to make a little knot. Oh! [laughs] Ooh! All right, that looks good enough to me. It's, like, super-tight. I don't think it's gonna go anywhere, so now, ooh, do you see my little Cheetah Girls-inspired manicure? Ooh. <br />Kyle: I'm gonna look at this. There's not much space on the end of the knot, so it's a pretty tight knot. OK. [exhales] Irene: I don't know how big it's supposed to be. I think we're gonna make it smaller, just to be safe. I feel like that gives us more room to play with. I don't know, that might be wrong. We'll find out. <br />Kyle: This is now too small as a choker, so we're abandoning. Already, we're abandoning this. This one looks like a medium length. I feel like it'll fit through here. So, we loop. OK. That looks promising. Irene: So, I guess, I don't know if you were... they weren't really clear in the <keyword id="6762469" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="TikTok">TikTok</keyword> if you were supposed to, like, loop this in. It was all really fast, but I'm just gonna put it like this, and then I guess this goes on me? <br />Nico: It's probably gonna look crazy, but who knows? I guess I just put it through here, right? You slide it through, and there you go? That's, like, the top? Oh, my God! [gasps] Wait, this could be really cute! Do you see? <br />Dylan: I do. Am I still filming? <br />Nico: Yeah. [both laughing] Dylan: Bye, guys. Irene: Around my neck, just like a normal necklace. [laughing] I look like I'm gonna go eat lobster or something. So, I can't even get my necklace on. To be fair, this is, like, not a normal clasp. It's, like, a very old-fashioned one. OK, got it. Ooh. <br />Nico: OK, so I guess I'm just gonna put the necklace on first, like a little bib, and I would try to get it, like, tighter. Oh! Oh, God, wait, that choker is choking me a little too hard. [dramatic music] <br />Kyle: Now that's too long. OK. Abort necklace No. 2. We've returned to the blue necklace. I'm staying positive. I think I can get this back on track. OK. I really think I just did something a little bit genius. <br />Nico: [gasps] I can see the vision! OK, wait. And then I would just tie it, like, back there. Oh, I look a little.... Oh, my God. This is literally the best hack ever because it's, like, two steps, and it doesn't require any scissors. [gasps] <br />Irene: This is kind of an arm workout. Which makes sense, 'cause, you know, they have those workouts with, like, the rubber bands and stuff. [dance music] That kind of feels like what I've been doing all day. <br />Kyle: Going to tie. I don't know how to tie knots other than just, like, a basic knot, so it's not gonna look necessarily pretty or fancy, but it's gonna work. Well, obviously, I put this on for modest reasons, but I'm gonna try to take the tank top and bra off and then just check how it actually looks and if I'm actually being covered. So. The material's so thin, and mine happens to be, like, slightly sheer, so it didn't look good, but luckily I did find a strapless bra, so I actually am loving how it's looking here. The only problem is.... [error ping] But I'm gonna try to tie this and see if I can tie it over my bra so that it's hidden better. That definitely worked a little better. Irene: Three, two, one, go. [all laughing and gasping] <br />Nico: Wow, we all look really good. That's what I think. <br />Kyle: You guys look so cute! <br />Nico: I love these. I love these tops! Oh, my God! We look like we were all just like, "Let's all get halter tops and meet up." <br />Kyle: I will say, the only limitation that I feel like I have with this, you either have to be, like, pro no bra, which, good for you, I wish I could be that, or you have to have a strapless bra that you feel comfortable showing. <br />Irene: How was it wearing it outside for you guys? 'Cause I thought it was actually really comfortable. I was more just annoyed being in the heat in general. Like, I just don't like being outside, but the top itself, I was surprised. The silk seemed actually like a good material. Like, I didn't get sweaty or anything. It was fine. Like, it felt like I had nothing on. <br />Kyle: It held up pretty well. I mean, as much as you can ask for fabric in, like, 90-degree July weather. <br />Nico: I think that I actually got pretty hot. I was hot outside. It doesn't feel breathable of materials, and it was a hot scorcher of a day when I went outside, but it didn't move at all, which I was really impressed with. These look really, really good, you guys. I'm very impressed with this work, compared to how some of our other ones have gone. <br />Irene: The last one. <br />Nico: This is probably, like, our area, where we should stay, in terms of DIY. We tried a TikTok style hack for turning silk scarves into trendy halter tops– here's how to make it work

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Online <keyword id="6362158" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="chess">chess</keyword> content, playing, and streaming has surged during quarantine, according to YouTube and several analytics firms.</li><li>Players who spoke to Insider say the digital pastime has been a welcome distraction in a time of uncertainty. </li><li>Some players have seen their view-counts grow by thousands per day.</li></ul><p>Streaming services, games, and screens of all types have gotten more action during quarantine, but according to data from Social Blade and several analytics firms, chess content on YouTube and <keyword id="1754577" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Twitch">Twitch</keyword> has performed particularly well. </p><p>Chess videos have been watched more than 350 million times worldwide on YouTube since January, according to data provided to Insider by the platform, which they said showed a significant trend.</p><h2><strong>Some chess channels are gaining thousands of viewers per day</strong></h2><p>Chess channels have experienced great growth during quarantine on YouTube.</p><p>Kingscrusher, run by British chess obsessive Tryfon Gavriel, has seen gains of over <a href="https://socialblade.com/youtube/user/kingscrusher/monthly">10,000 views </a>per day.</p><p>Gavriel runs the chess website ChessWorld.net and stepped into the realm of online video after encouragement from one of the site's members, who asked him to record videos on popular chess matches. He set up his channel in 2007.</p><p>He graduated from analyzing and recounting popular matches throughout history to live commentating games as he played them. Now Gavriel has 9,000 videos and 110,000 followers on his YouTube channel and said that interest has spiked during quarantine. </p><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2hf2P6UZ3sU" frameborder="0"></iframe><p>Gavriel also said he has more people accessing his correspondence server, where he plays chess online. Players use the online platform to make moves in games across the world. "I'm playing a lot more people," he said. "I've got over 3,000 current games now."</p><p>It's not just Gavriel seeing a boom from chess's popularity at present. Hungarian grandmaster <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHEg3GbhtQiRHO-QA2Xkl5A/videos">Anna Rudolf</a> breaks out from the standard chess game analysis to more inventive videos for her 43,000 subscribers, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkHNBo078kM">including playing choker</a>, a combination of chess and poker.</p><h2><strong>Chess is booming on Twitch, too </strong></h2><p>According to data from SullyGnome, an analytics partner of livestreaming services provider StreamElements, chess is booming on Twitch as well. </p><p>Chess is now one of the top 20 games streamed on Twitch, with the number of hours watched increasing from around three million in March 2020 to more than eight million in May.</p><p>Chess has always been a part of Twitch – which partnered with Chess.com in 2017 – but the platform has seen significant viewership increases since the coronavirus hit. </p><p>"Nothing compares with the rise it experienced in recent months when some of the top streamers, such as xQc, Reckful, and LIRIK, streamed it," said Doron Nir, CEO of StreamElements. "While the chess community has achieved a lot of success on its own, this latest move illustrates the power of influencers to broaden the appeal of a brand."</p><iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?video=625740482&amp;parent=www.example.com" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="378" width="620"></iframe><p>Coleen Cusack, a US Chess Federation-rated player who competed in the 1990s, has been a devoted chess watcher on Twitch since starting to watch after self-isolating due to COVID-19 in mid-March. "Twitch is a platform that has made chess appealing and accessible to persons who might be fans but who don't know where to go and watch and cheer," she said.</p><p>That's something Jennifer Shahade, a chess professional who streams on Twitch, can identify with. "Chess works well on Twitch because there's no hidden information, so you can play it in real-time or with a very short delay," she said. </p><p>The streams also give viewers the opportunity to learn in a way that they wouldn't elsewhere. "Chess at a high level is played on instinct as much as intense calculations, so it's possible for titled players and champions to educate and entertain while the level of player doesn't degrade as much as one may expect," she said. </p><p>Narrating decisions made over the course of several minutes, rather than a quick-reaction button press as is commonplace in video game streaming, is possible in a way that it isn't for gamers. That helps foster a sense of community.</p><p>It's also glammed up the game and made it more accessible. Taking elements of the frenetic presentation of video game streamers that are commonplace on Twitch has made chess seem less boring. "It packs a certain level of energy that watching a long, slow chess game between two grandmasters doesn't offer," Cusack said.</p><h2><strong>What makes chess work so well online</strong></h2><p>Cusack believes the pandemic has benefitted chess because "everyone has more time." Professionals like Shahade and Alexandra Boatez, who also stream on Twitch, hosted a tournament for women that gave ordinary people the chance to play against grandmasters. Cusack took part.</p><p>"While competing, I didn't have time to worry about the pandemic," she said. "It's been a huge escape and release for me."</p><p>That's also why Kevin Allocca, head of <keyword id="24504" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="culture">culture</keyword> and trends at YouTube, believes the game has done so well on the world's biggest video sharing platform. "Chess works surprisingly well on YouTube because both creator and viewer can be active participants as events unfold, learning, discussing, and, in some cases, playing along simultaneously," he explains. </p><p>"And the variety or skill levels catered to means the experience can be somewhat personalized to the viewer's proficiency. That this serves as something of an antidote to the isolation of lockdown has attracted new fans to this already vibrant community."</p><p>That's what Shahade also thinks is behind the amazing surge in chess watching online. "Chess is a great game for our moment, as it's a way to keep our minds occupied and challenged during these very strange and often devastating times," she said. "Chess allows us to connect through so many ages and cultures. No one should be left out and it's wonderful to see so many new aficionados, as they can learn so much about art and history through the ancient game."</p>

Still, she said that not all viewers agree that Belle is a good match for "Clueless," to which Hampton disagrees.</p><p>"I think the movie fits her personality because, like Cher, Belle is focused, serious, has a single father, is wanted by a guy she doesn't like, and falls for a guy that she doesn't realize she's in love with until it's almost too late," Hampton said."Also, Belle's ball gown in 'Beauty and the Beast' is yellow, which links to the iconic, yellow plaid outfit Cher wears in 'Clueless.'"</p><p>"I decided to layer my own yellow, checkered dress over a white blouse in my video to pay homage to the way Belle wears a white blouse under her blue village dress," she continued. "It's great to film with someone else, especially someone who supports you and has similar interests, because you can bounce ideas off of each other and find out what works and what doesn't. <p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/59834d254fc3c02d008b4e95-2400/whas201unit00208r.jpg" alt="Wet Hot American Summer 10 years Later" data-mce-source="Netflix"><p class="source"><span>Netflix</span></p><p class="caption">Look, it's the 90s!</p></img></div><p></p></div></div>The 90s are so hot right now.<p>From "Landline" to "Captain Marvel," to chokers and mom jeans, it looks like it's 1997 in real life and in entertainment.</p><p>"Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later," which debuts on Friday on Netflix, goes out of its way to make it clear that it is in the 90s. While this is definitely a nod to the resurgence of 90s nostalgia in today's culture, it&#xa0;also indicates that it's a different decade than the previous installments of "Wet Hot."</p><p>The series also applies 90s tropes to emphasize its setting further: nuclear threats, a psycho nanny (a slightly out of her element Alyssa Milano), and grunge.&#xa0;</p><p>When I found out that Netflix would reboot "Wet Hot American Summer" in 2015, I was disappointed when I found out that the season would take place on the first day of camp, and not at the reunion (discussed in the 2001 movie). But turns out, "First Day at Camp" was the right move to make. While the second chapter in the reboot "10 Years Later," which <em>does</em> take place at that reunion, has some clever bits and a blindingly delightful Chris Pine, it's lost its charm in the 90s setting.</p><p>The plot that drives the season centers around&#xa0;Ronald Reagan (Michael Showalter) and George H.W. Bush (Michael Ian Black), who want to nuke Camp Firewood for some reason. It's absurd and nonsensical in the traditional "Wet Hot" way, but Reagan and Bush end up having more screen time than some of the original characters.</p><p>The plot provides some of the season's funniest scenes&#xa0;and brings some memorable characters back to Camp Firewood. But in relying on these fictionalized versions of presidents it takes away time from people you might've preferred to see, like&#xa0;Amy Poehler, David Hyde Peirce, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd, Joe Lo Truglio, and Ken Marino. The list goes on. The great John Early ("Search Party"), who's one of the best comedic actors working today (and a new addition to the Camp Firewood family starting with "First Day at Camp") is severely underused.</p><p>"10 Years Later " parodies action, romance, thriller, and the concept of reunion shows and movies like itself, but in the end it's all too much. Although this is likely due to the massive success of the original movie's cast&#xa0;following its&#xa0;2001 release, some characters don't join the reunion until the last few episodes. And some characters that are there throughout the whole season have completely separate story arcs, like&#xa0;<span>Michael Ian Black</span> and Adam Scott's characters.</p><p>And I'll just tell you now: Adam Scott just plays Bradley Cooper's character, Ben. The explanation is a nose job. It's very funny. But despite replacing Oscar-nominee Cooper with zero-time Oscar-nominee Scott, Scott is still a pretty busy guy, too, so that&#xa0;definitely had&#xa0;an effect on this storyline.</p><p>Despite its flaws, "10 Years Later" is definitely worth watching, and it's not bad by any means. Compared to most comedies, it's great. It's funny, fun, and a quick watch if you have zero plans for the weekend. Fans of the cult comedy and of the first Netflix series will love revisiting the characters at Camp Firewood. But at this point in creators David Wain and Michael Showalter's&#xa0;careers, I did expect a lot more.</p><p>It's not a must-see.</p><p>Overall the season&#xa0;lacks focus that takes away from the absurd spirit that made "Wet Hot" tick. 'Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later' is funny, but lacks the charming spirit of the original

Marco Rubio (R-Florida) has proved quite adept at defending his record in a debate setting.<p>During the third Republican debate last month, Rubio&#xa0;managed to turn&#xa0;former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's (R) <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/gop-debate-jeb-bush-v-marco-rubio-2015-10" target="_blank">attack on his Senate-attendance record on its head</a>. Later in that&#xa0;debate, Rubio deflected&#xa0;a question about his personal finances by slamming supposed&#xa0;media bias, garnering&#xa0;one of his biggest applause lines of the night.</p><p>But Rubio has yet to clear one hurdle that move prove a headache for him at the fourth Republican debate and beyond: immigration.</p><p>Rubio's stance on immigration looks like a potential flash-point during the Tuesday night's&#xa0;Republican debate in Wisconsin.&#xa0;</p><p><span>One source familiar with the debate planning told Business Insider it could come up during questioning.</span></p><p>And fellow candidates might also make it an issue. Over&#xa0;the past several days, several candidates who will share the stage with Rubio have&#xa0;criticized the senator's&#xa0;support in crafting&#xa0;the bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform legislation&#xa0;that stalled in Congress in 2013.</p><p>"He was a co-author of the bill. &#xa0;It was a Rubio bill. &#xa0;It was a Rubio-Schumer bill," Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky)&#xa0;<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/marco-rubio-immigration-reform_563f803ae4b0307f2cadcc98">said</a>, referring to Rubio and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-New York). "So, he does have to explain it. I think it will be a big part of things."</p><p>Real-estate mogul Donald Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly criticized Rubio over his past support for a legal path to citizenship for immigrants living in the US without permission.</p><p><div><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Marco Rubio is totally weak on illegal immigration &amp; in favor of easy amnesty. And he has attempted to walk a fine line on the issue.&#xa0;He has said that in order for any immigration bill to pass through Congress, it needs to pass more stringent&#xa0;border-security measures, including increased border security agents, drones, and cameras.</p><p>"We have to prove to the American people that illegal immigration is under control. It's not good enough to just say we're going to pass a law that will bring it under control. People demand to see it," <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/marco-rubio-immigration-flaw-2015-8">Rubio said earlier this year</a>.</p><p>But as he has begun to rise in the polls, Rubio has also started to take a harder line on immigration-reform efforts.</p><p>Rubio raised eyebrows last week when he appeared to reverse course on a previous immigration stance, saying that if he were&#xa0;elected president,&#xa0;he would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program&#xa0;that extends some protections to the young children of immigrants who come to the United States without permission.</p><p>Rubio had previously said that the program shouldn't be ended because it would create a sense of limbo for the children who have already benefited from the policy under President Barack Obama.</p><p>"DACA is going to end. And the ideal way for it to end is that it's replaced by a reform system that creates an alternative," <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/news/rubio-plans-to-end-protections-for-young-undocumented-immigrants/">Rubio said last week</a>. "But if it doesn't, it will end.
