<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/56b213886e97c623048b4666-713-535/screen%20shot%202016-02-03%20at%209.41.42%20am.png" alt="charlie day conan" data-mce-source="TBS"><p class="source"><span>TBS</span></p></img></div><p></p></div></div>Danny DeVito is used to&#xa0;doing&#xa0;some crazy stunts on the set of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," the FXX comedy, but filming&#xa0;one particular scene for season 11 almost killed him.<p>During an appearance on "Conan" Tuesday night, Charlie Day explained how&#xa0;DeVito, 71, almost drowned.&#xa0;</p><p>"We did an underwater sequence, and Danny's incredibly buoyant, like a buoy," he said. "It was hard to get him down, so we really had to weigh him down to get the shot where we're all holding hands."</p><p>The rest of the cast was able to swim up after the shot was over, but since DeVito was weighed down, he struggled to get up to the top.&#xa0;</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/56b215936e97c622048b467e-613-460/big_thumb_0e472068a108684797abf501d87d94f6.jpg" alt="danny devito it's always sunny" data-mce-source="FX"><p class="source"><span>FX</span></p></img></div><p></p></div></div>"And when the shot was over and we were all trying to get back&#xa0;to the surface for air, we all quickly got through the water but because we weighed him down, he sort of got halfway and was going nowhere," he said. "And that look of panic in his eyes of like, 'This is the end, these guys killed me.'"<p>Safety divers pulled him out, but DeVito was done for the day.&#xa0;</p><p><span><span>"He went straight home," Day said. "He was like, 'Goodbye, that's the end of filming for today.' How Danny DeVito almost died while shooting the new season of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'

That's only a 35 percent dip from last week.</p><p>The animated movie that has pleased kids and Batman die hards alike will have taken in over $40 million by Monday for a cume of <a href="http://deadline.com/2017/02/lego-batman-fifty-shades-fist-fight-the-great-wall-cure-for-wellness-weekend-box-office-1201914695/" target="_blank">over $100 million</a> in the States.</p><p>And negative reviews of "Fifty Shades Darker" hasn't stopped fans of the popular book series to come out and see the sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey," as the movie came in second place for a second straight weekend with <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-976997?utm_source=twitter" target="_blank">$20.9 million</a> ($24.1 million by Monday).</p><p>The "best" performer out of the new releases this weekend was Matt Damon's $150 million-budgeted action thriller "The Great Wall," which took in only <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-976997?utm_source=twitter" target="_blank">$18.1 million</a> ($21 million four-day total). An extremely disappointing release for Universal as the movie was DOA out of the gate, earning only <a href="http://deadline.com/2017/02/lego-batman-fifty-shades-fist-fight-the-great-wall-cure-for-wellness-weekend-box-office-1201914695/" target="_blank">$5.9 million</a> on Friday.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/58a72bc754905720098b54b7-1280/undefined" alt="the great wall 1 universal" data-mce-source="Universal" /><p class="source"><span>Universal</span></p><p class="caption">"The Great Wall."</p></div><p></p></div></div>Warner Bros.'s Ice Cube/Charlie Day comedy "First Fight" took in <a href="https://twitter.com/BoxOffice/status/833344980160765952" target="_blank">$12 million</a> (just under $13 million four-day), which the studio will live with and hope it makes back more on its investment in home video.</p><p>While Fox's trippy "A Cure for Wellnes" from director Gore Verbinski (numerous "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies) found more press <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/15/arts/fake-news-a-cure-for-wellness-movie.html" target="_blank">creating fake news to promote the movie</a> than for the title itself. It befuddled critics and audiences as the visually stunning <a href="http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=acureforwellness.htm" target="_blank">$40 million</a> thriller only took in <a href="https://twitter.com/BoxOffice/status/833345697076432897" target="_blank">$4.2 million</a> (just under $5 million four-day).</p><p>Studios are finding that titles it releases the week before a holiday weekend are doing better than the ones they schedule specifically for the four-day weekend. The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/hidden-figures-martin-luther-king-box-office-2017-1">Martin Luther King Jr. weekend</a> in January had the same result as President's Day. 'Lego Batman' and 'Fifty Shades' power the holiday box office as 'Great Wall' fails

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/560021ed9dd7cc23008bbd4e-3000-1500/gettyimages-489397722.jpg" alt="Tracy Morgan Emmys" data-mce-source="Getty Images" /><p class="source"><span>Getty Images</span></p><p class="caption">Tracy Morgan.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Following the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/tracy-morgan-emmy-speech-2015-9">touching return</a> of Tracy Morgan at the Emmys Sunday night, there's news that the funnyman is one step closer to returning to the big screen. </p><p>According to <a href="http://www.thewrap.com/tracy-morgan-to-join-ice-cube-charlie-day-in-new-line-comedy-fist-fight-exclusive/">The Wrap</a>, Morgan is in negotiations to join Ice Cube and Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") in the comedy "Fist Fight."</p><p>This would be the first movie Morgan would be involved in since he was seriously injured in 2014 when a Walmart truck hit the limo Morgan and others were riding in on the New Jersey Turnpike.</p><p>The comedy follows a teacher (Day) who is challenged to a fist fight by a tougher colleague (Cube). </p><p>Morgan's role has not been disclosed, according to The Wrap, but the news shows that the comic is on the road to recovery.</p><p>At Sunday's Emmys, Morgan took the stage <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/tracy-morgan-emmy-speech-2015-9">towards the end of the evening</a> and thanked everyone for their well-wishes. Tracy Morgan in talks to star in first movie since the car accident that halted his career

<p>Warner Bros. released the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B45XU3v9sPw" target="_blank">first teaser trailer</a> for the movie late Tuesday featuring <span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day reprising their roles as disgruntled employees. However, this time around, the trio attempt to start their own company. </span></p>
<p>Here's the film's synopsis:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>"Dale, Kurt and Nick decide to start their own business but things don't go as planned because of a slick investor. <span>Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor's adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.</span>" </span></p>

I've been here once before. </p><p><strong>BI:</strong> And Charlie and Josh, have you been here before?</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> I've been here for music.</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> I've only been to Slamdance.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> So for people who have never been to Sundance, how would you explain it?</p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> It's like an over-packed ski lodge.</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> It's hard to wrap your head around it.</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> It feels like summer camp, to me.</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> Winter camp.</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> Yeah, winter camp. Everyone is coming from different worlds, we shot this movie two years ago, and now we've come back together and I didn't have any scenes with Charlie so we've gotten to know each other from coming here. We are all just kind of here mingling and are like, "What are you here for?" It's different from a music festival. </p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> I feel like because it's in this lodge environment, my brain is telling me I should be on holiday, which creates a different feel with everyone. I feel like I'm on holiday with you guys. It's like, if we have time, we'd ski.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> But instead you're in a sponsored lounge talking to me.</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> Yeah, only our agents have time to ski.</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> There is a palpable level of enthusiasm, which is nice to be around. For a lot of people here, they are having their big moments with their films. </p><p><strong>BI:</strong> So did you guys all know John Karasinski before the movie?</p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> Charlie and I had met him once before. </p><p><strong>Day:</strong> Only once. </p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> We worked together on "The Office" - we had a scene together the first time I was on and the second time he directed the episode.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> Was it the material that grabbed you guys to come on, then?</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> Yeah, and his enthusiasm for it. He really was able to spin it. He had this vision for a movie and he was passionate about it and passion is very infections. You want to follow a leader and you hope that you are following them into something good. </p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> For me it was the character. It was a chance to just do something that was a little different for me, and a genre that was different. That was the most important thing for me. You're entering an environment where you're a small cog in a very big wheel and you want to make sure whatever your involvement is you're keeping that vision rolling smoothly. And being the only non-film person on this movie, yeah, I walk into it wanting to trust my director and trust the words on the paper and do the best job I can. So there are more nerves standing on a set in a little town in Mississippi than standing in Madison Square Garden, for sure.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> And Josh, you and Sharlto have a lot of scenes together in the movie. Was that comforting?</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> Sharlto and I were in my hotel room running lines, working on beats, it was so great. One of the attractive things of doing this was not just the material and working with John, but the educational experience, and working with someone like Sharlto is fantastic. It would have been great to work with Charlie, too, but we didn't have any scenes.</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> No such luck, pal.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> Charlie, was John open to your riffing, or did you stick to the script?</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> I think we stayed pretty close to the script. We might have done moments here or there of improv. </p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> I very often will go off script but there was very little of that for this.<br /><br /><strong>BI:</strong> In choosing your movie roles, Charlie, does it come down to what fits between doing seasons of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"?</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> Absolutely. I think we had two pilots we were producing.</p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> Did you only do this movie on your break [from "It's Only Sunny in Philadelphia"]?<br /><br /><strong>Day:</strong> I think I also did press for "Horrible Bosses 2" and I was flying all over the place. I just look for stuff that's exciting or a refreshing change or a great career opportunity.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> How did you fit this in, Josh?</p><p><strong>Groban:</strong> I had a week off from my tour. [<em>Laughs</em>] I wasn't available. And I can't help but think he overdid it.<em> [Laughs]</em></p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> It's going to bug you the rest of your life when you watch the movie.</p><p><strong>BI:</strong> Studios don't make these kinds of comedies anymore. They are done at the independent level. So how do you switch up getting a nice payday with a studio movie and doing something like this that you're doing for personal reward, and I would imagine not a lot of money?</p><p><strong>Day:</strong> For me, I'm a fan of both types of movies. I love a great independent film, but I would never want to solely be an independent film actor. I love a great big studio comedy or an action movie. To me it's always what the job is and if it's an exciting job, there's room for both.</p><p><strong>Copley:</strong> Yeah, I think you get to a point where you'll be in a box with these big movies to some degree. I've luckily been put into a wide range of characters I've wanted to do. But to be honest, if you do one of these smaller films right, you can also make real money off of them. The "<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3072482/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_4" target="_blank">Hardcore Henry</a>" movie that I did, which was done on a shoestring, for example. I go for films that I believe people are going to watch. I don't want to be in a film that I don't think anyone is going to go see, so for me a small film like this that touches people, it can become a big film, in terms of people watching it. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/55009b52ecad04310ae80f7b-1200-600/its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-cast-2.jpg" border="0" alt="its always sunny in philadelphia cast"><p class="source"><span>Michael Buckner/Getty</span></p></img></div><p></p></div></div>"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is in the midst of its 10th season, making it one of the <a href="http://www.hitfix.com/the-fien-print/fx-renews-its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-extends-deal-with-stars">longest-running live-action comedy shows</a> in television history.</p><p>But the show's success almost didn't happen if not for a strange bit of luck, brought upon by its network, FX.</p><p>Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, and Charlie Day are the creators, writers, actors, and producers of the show, but when they were starting out in 2006, they weren't big enough names to draw in audiences.</p><p>McElhenney and Howerton recently <a href="http://www.nerdist.com/pepisode/nerdist-podcast-rob-mcelhenney-and-glenn-howerton/">joined The Nerdist podcast</a> and explained that after a first season with low ratings, FX gave them an ultimatum: add a star name to bring in audiences or the show is over.</p><p><span>McElhenney recalled the conversation:</span></p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">"So, John Langroff, who's the president of FX, he called me in for a meeting and was like, 'Hey, no one's watching the show, but we love it, we wanna keep it on, but we don't have any money for marketing, and we need to add somebody with some panache that we can hopefully parlay into some public relations story, just so we can get people talking.'"</p><p>McElhenney continues, saying he, Howerton, and Day were hesitant to add a big name and change the way they were writing and making the show. You know, because we kinda liked that we were no-names and it was this weird, small thing, you know."</p><p>McElhenney says they told FX: "No, I just don't think we wanna do that, and they were like, 'Oh OK, well, you know... the show's over.'"</p><p>McElhenney, Howerton, and Day then opened up to the idea and talked to DeVito, who apparently already knew about the show because his kids watched it.</p><p>Howerton says DeVito was perfect for the role because he had played so many "despicable characters," but had a warmth underneath that they felt fit the show's tone.</p><p>DeVito joined the show for the second season, playing Frank Reynolds, <span>the legal father of twins Dennis and Sweet Dee.</span></p><p>In 2014, <a href="http://www.ew.com/#21199211" target="_blank">Entertainment Weekly</a> ranked "It's Always Sunny" No. 7 on its list of the "26 Best Cult TV Shows Ever," noting, "it's a great underdog story ... Here's how Danny DeVito saved 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' from getting canceled

You've got to make sure you say all the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/never-say-this-your-office-love-interest-2016-7">right things</a>. And, perhaps most importantly, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/stories-office-romance-2017-1">you need to be prepared to have things blow up in your face</a>.</p><p>However, what if the romance in question involves someone having a crush on <em>you</em>? And what happens if that someone is your boss?</p><p>Needless to say, things can get complicated. First and foremost, it's important to determine whether your boss really has a crush on you.</p><p>Here are 17 red flags:</p><h2><strong>1. You have a gut feeling</strong></h2><p>Most people will give their managers the benefit of the doubt at first, but sometimes there's an inner voice telling you that something between you two feels awkward, says Lynn Taylor, a national-workplace expert and <a href="http://www.lynntaylorconsulting.com/">leadership coach</a> and the author of "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Tame-Your-Terrible-Office-Tyrant/dp/0470457643/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1248579303&amp;sr=8-1&amp;tag=bisafetynet-20">Tame Your Terrible Office Tyrant</a>."</p><p>She says: "Gut instincts aren't whims. They're your subconscious on steroids. It's putting hundreds of facts together, with the ultimate result being an emotion or physical feeling - in this case, of discomfort or irritation. If you're unhappy or angry about the situation, <em>you're right</em>."</p><h2><strong>2. They flirt</strong></h2><p>"Carefully observe how the boss treats other colleagues before leaping to any conclusions," says Michael Kerr, an international <a href="http://www.humoratwork.com/">business speaker</a> and author of "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/The-Humor-Advantage-Businesses-Laughing/dp/0968846122?tag=bisafetynet-20">The Humor Advantage.</a>" "They may be a very effusive, gregarious person who simply behaves that way with everyone because they're a people pleaser. And even if your boss flirts with you from time to time, again, consider how they are with other colleagues - they may be a naturally flirtatious person who really means no harm."</p><p>And also consider your own actions. Are they flirting with you simply because you've been a little flirtatious with them? Be very cautious when interpreting someone else's intentions behind their actions.</p><p>And if you determine that you're the <em>only</em> one they flirt with, and it's not a result of your behavior toward them, then this is a strong sign they're crushing on you.</p><h2><strong>3. They regularly schedule private or late-night meetings</strong></h2><p>If you're occasionally asked to stay beyond normal business hours and have a legitimate joint project to work on, that's one thing, says Taylor.</p><p>"But if you start seeing a pattern of being singled out, and the meetings are always running late - or there are too many unnecessary private meetings - then your boss may be trying to go beyond a professional scope," she says.</p><p>Keep in mind that if you're uncomfortable with these actions and you continue to comply with these requests, things will get worse.</p><h2><strong>4. Their body language is playful or sensual</strong></h2><p>Check their body language and eye contact. If you catch them stealing glances at you often or sustaining eye contact longer than is comfortable for you, then this could be a sign, Kerr says.</p><h2><strong>6. They give you preferential treatment</strong></h2><p>Yes, it could be simply because they respect you and trust your abilities, but if it crosses over into clear favoritism - for example, they offer you opportunities that you know in your heart you don't deserve - then it might be a sign then they like you a little too much, Kerr says.</p><p>Taylor agrees. "Love struck bosses may give you better projects; more mentoring time than your peers; take you to more lunches; offer you more flexible hours or other perks; be lax about your mistakes; or give you other special treatment. Sounds great? Well, unfortunately, favoritism in the workplace may not only lead to a disgruntled staff - it can result in a hostile work environment claim by other employees, and may lead to a court case."</p><h2><strong>7. They confide in you</strong></h2><p>Does your boss share work <em>and</em> personal confidences with you that you know they wouldn't share with anyone else in your office?</p><p>"Yes, they may be doing this because they trust you, but it may also be because they want to deepen the relationship and sharing confidences is a proven way to do that," says Kerr.</p><h2><strong>8. You get overblown promises from them</strong></h2><p>A boss who has a romantic agenda may intrigue you with a seemingly exaggerated view of your great future at the company, Taylor warns.</p><p>"It may be difficult to discern if your manager is just as encouraging with everyone," she says. They invite you to spend time together outside of work</strong></h2><p>It might just be a simple coffee after work, but if this happens in addition to other signs, then this could be a red flag, says Kerr.</p><h2><strong>10. They suddenly change their appearance at work</strong></h2><p>New outfits, new haircuts, and more attention to detail might be because they're hoping to catch someone's eye at work, Kerr says. And it might be yours.</p><h2>11. They value your opinion more than anyone else's</h2><p>Again, this could just be that they value and trust you as an employee - but if they ask you for input on personal issues, such as clothing choices, or even dating issues, then this might be a sign.</p><p>"Asking you for advice on their own love life could be totally innocent, but it might also be a ploy to suss out how you really feel about them," Kerr warns.</p><h2><strong>12. They frequently offer compliments beyond work issues</strong></h2><p>If compliments are coming your way nonstop but they have <em>nothing</em> to do with work or start to sound inappropriate, then your boss may have more than a friendly affinity for you, Taylor says: "While sexual harassment training has exploded over the years, managers can still become lax. They give you gifts</strong></h2><p>If everyone in the company receives a motivational mug on Valentine's Day that says, "We love our employees" embedded in a big read heart, that's wonderful. But it is not so endearing if your flirtatious boss secretly places Sweethearts candies on your desk, says Taylor.</p><h2><strong>14. They laugh a little too easily, and a little too long, at your jokes</strong></h2><p>Overly effusive laughter can sometimes be a great "crush barometer," Kerr says.</p><h2><strong>15. They remember everything you do or say</strong></h2><p>If your boss seems to remember <em>everything</em> you tell them - when they're normally more forgetful - this could be a sign they are paying especially close attention to you.</p><p>"People remember way more details about interactions with someone they have a crush on, partially because they've likely been obsessing about those details, looking for signs that <em>you're </em> interested," writes <a href="https://www.bustle.com/articles/57743-how-can-you-tell-when-someone-has-a-crush-on-you-here-are-12-signs-a">Beca Grimm for Bustle</a>. "Remember last week when you were complaining about your new standing desk making your heels sore? You might not. But when someone else remembers, and sends along to a link for non-fatigue rugs and offers a discount through their office account? But if your boss playfully teases or picks on you, it could be their way of flirting ... or a way to hide their admiration.</p><h2>17. They share a ton of inside jokes with you</h2><p>If you're in a fun, high energy office, you're bound to have a few inside jokes with some of your coworkers. However, if your boss only seems to pal around with you, that could be a sign that you're their favorite.
