The observation from the top court after it was informed that the CBSE has decided to cancel the remaining board exams for Class 10 and Class 12. A bench comprising Justices A.M. Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjiv Khanna asked the Centre to clarify the issue of taking the option between internal assessment and exams later. "Clarify the date of results," said the bench, noting that the CBSE will have to submit a fresh draft notification cancelling class 12 Board exams and affidavit on Friday morning, before the top court continues to hear the matter again at 10.30 a.m. The apex court also sought clarity on the beginning of the new academic year. It told Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Centre, that the CBSE is willing to conduct exams when the situation is conducive, but this may vary from state to state. "Will the decision be taken by a central authority or will the state government take the decision? How are you going to deal with that situation?" Mehta replied that the decision must be taken according to the situation. To this, the bench said should not the solution be pan-India? "You have not said when you will decide on this issue, and when you will take stock of these things. Some time frame will have to be given," noted the bench. Continuing its queries, the bench said: "What about state regional board exams... the CBSE does not hold all the exams. The state Board is also there." Mehta replied that the instructions from the controller of examinations are that exams are controlled centrally. "State boards assist the CBSE," he replied. The bench observed that the government should modify the draft notification and include the state board issue. "Clear the stand that decision will be taken at the central level and not at the state level... other courses will have to be delayed till CBSE exam results come out," it said. Mehta replied the assessment results will be published now, and if a student wants to opt to give the exam, then that will be conducted later. The top court asked Mehta to bring this on record and redraft the notification.

SC asks CBSE for more details on class 12's internal assessment and 'exams later' option

New Delhi, The Central Board of Secondary Education (<keyword id="6356155" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbse" source="Orion">CBSE</keyword>) on Tuesday announced date sheet for class 10 and 12 board exams with the examination for both classes beginning from February 15. The class 10 exams will conclude on March 13 and the class 12 exams will end on April 2. "While preparing the date sheet, the board has kept in mind that there is sufficient gap between two subjects. Dates of competitive exams like JEE have been kept in mind while deciding schedule for class 12," Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.

CBSE class 10 board exams to be conducted from February 15 to March 13

The Central Board of Secondary Education (<keyword id="6356155" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbse">CBSE</keyword>) has released dates for practical examinations for Std. X and XII. According to the schedule, practical assessments will be held between January 1 and February 7, 2020. The practical examinations will take place in the presence of CBSE’s external examiner. This year onwards, the board has directed schools to send a group photograph of the external examiner, students and the internal teacher during the exams. The schools will have to upload the photographs on the website along with batch number and date among other details. “An app link will be provided to schools for uploading one group photograph of each batch during the practical examinations. The class group photo should consist of all the candidates of that batch, external examiner, internal examiner and observer. The photograph should be taken in the laboratory where practical exams are being held and laboratory should also be seen clearly in the photograph,” Sanyam Bharadwaj, CBSE controller of examinations<a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chandigarh/cbse-tells-schools-to-send-group-photograph-of-practical-exams/articleshow/71947563.cms"> told </a>TOI. CBSE board seeks photographic proof of practical exams for Std X and XII

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is expected to release the CBSE Class 10th Results sometime in the next week (2nd week of May 2019). Earlier there were wide spread speculations that the results might be out on May 5, 2019. However, the board has confirmed recently that the results of the CBSE 10th class exams will be declared soon in this week. The CBSE class 10th results can be checked on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Some other third party websites like examresults.in, indiaresults.com and results.gov.in also publish these results for the convenience of the candidates. In the academic year 2018-19, CBSE conducted the class 10th exams between February 21 and March 29, 2019. The official statistics released by the board says around 18.19 lakh students appeared for the CBSE 10th Board Exam 2019. During the last academic year 2017-18, CBSE announced the results on May 29, 2019 at 4pm. Approximately 16.38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams in 2018. The board said that the pass percentage for CBSE 2018 Class 10th Exams was 86.07%. About 88.67% girls and 85.32% boys passed in these examinations. In this year, a total number of 31,14,821 students appeared for the CBSE class 10 and class 12 board exams put together. CBSE Class 12th results were declared by the CBSE on May 2, 2019. Earlier there were speculations that the CBSE results for 12th class will be announced only in the third week of May 2019. In fact it came as a surprise to many people that the 12th class results were declared on Thursday, May 2, 2019. There were widespread talks that the CBSE class 10th results will be announced either on May 5 or May 6 2019. Ruling out such assumptions, CBSE public relations officer Rama Sharma said what has been circulated in the social media is only a fake news. And that the board will announce the schools and students regarding the date of declaration of results. In her message, she had stated, “It is to inform all principals, students, parents and public that the CBSE Class 10 results will not be declared today (May 5, 2019)” Sharma added in her message that CBSE will "duly inform students about the date, time and arrangements to access results, through official communication". The class 10 board exams conducted by the CBSE took place in about 4,974 centers across the country. There were also 72 exam centers abroad. CBSE is the national level education board in India established to control the public and private schools in the country and abroad following the syllabus offered by the board. The Union Government of India controls and manages the CBSE. Approximately, the board manages about 19,500 schools in India and more than 200 schools spread across 28 countries abroad. CBSE to conduct fresh exams for students who couldn't appear for exams due to Delhi violence

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the class 10th results tomorrow on 05th May. However, in a statement today, CBSE said that they'll intimate about the result date beforehand. Ever since class 12th results came out, the speculations for 10th class being released in the same week have gone up and the searches are at all time high. CBSE had conducted the class 10th exams back in March and it has been little over 5 weeks. The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has released the dates for the compartment examination 2019 for class 10th and 12th reappearing students. According to the official reports, the class 12th compartment examination 2019 will take place on 2 July 2019 for all subjects.
