The "Queer Eye" star had worked with Kryst several times since she was crowned, most recently in December at <a href="https://www.insider.com/miss-universe-awkward-moments-during-pageant-2021-12">the Miss Universe pageant in Israel</a>.</p><p>Kryst was a journalist and former lawyer. Carson Kressley reflects on former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst's 'devastating' death by suicide: 'She had the world at her feet'

"I would say, 'I was so stupid to be swayed by Miesha and Todrick when they were out to get me all along,'" he said. "They spun a wonderful tale, and they got the whole house energized, and they got us to buy a bill of goods." </p><p>Kressley, who was voted out by his fellow houseguests on Friday, admitted that he was very ignorant about how the game works before entering the "<keyword id="6355064" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="celebrity" source="Orion">Celebrity</keyword> Big Brother" house.</p><p>The season originally started with <a href="https://www.insider.com/celebrity-big-brother-2022-cast-revealed-season-three-houseguests-2022-1">11 celebrities locked in a house together</a> vying for a $250,000 prize. The goal is to lie and manipulate your way to being one of the final two players in the house when a jury of your former housemates — many of whom you voted to evict — then votes to decide whose game was worthy enough of the money. </p><div type="image" title="Carson Kressley." height="2700" width="1800" msid="89780490" hostid="261"></div><p>The former "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" star said he watched a few episodes of "Celebrity Big Brother" before entering the house and thought it looked "fun." </p><p>"It's a bunch of people hanging out. I think I'm friendly and charming. I can get them all on my side," Kressley told Insider of his initial thoughts of the "Big Brother" game. "I did not know about all the sneakiness, and shadiness, and lying." </p><p>He said he trusted that Tate was playing a game of "integrity," as he himself had come on the show to do. He also told Insider that perhaps he relied too much on his friendship with Hall from outside the house, and let that sway his gameplay. </p><p>"I thought, 'Well, he's not going to be that dastardly, and not take me down, of all people,'" Kressley said. But he agrees with many <a href="https://www.insider.com/celebrity-big-brother-teddi-mellencamp-no-regrets-miesha-tate-2022-2">"Celebrity Big Brother"</a> fans that Hall is playing a "shady" game. </p><p>Hall and Tate convinced Kressley that Moakler was playing two sides of the house and should be eliminated during Kressley's second run as head of household. Kressley put Tate and actor Todd Bridges up as a result instead of Hall and Tate. </p><p>When Hall won the power of veto, a competition that gives the winner the ability to remove one of the houseguests nominated for eviction and force the head of household to choose a replacement nominee, and took Bridges down, Kressley then put Moakler up in his place, even though Moakler's actions (like removing him from the eviction block in a past week when she'd won the power of veto) had proved she was his ally in the past.</p><p>The house was already poisoned against Moakler, largely thanks to Hall, and <a href="http://www.hamsterwatch.com/">voted her out of the game 4-0</a>. </p><p>Kressley has since offered <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CaOQq5hlh8K/">Moakler an apology on Instagram</a>, which she accepted <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CaOVhakrEAX/">via her own Instagram post</a>. "If there is one thing I know @carsonkressley is that you have always had a huge heart and a kind soul," she wrote in-part. </p><p>The two have taken steps to mend their personal relationship since Kressley exited the house, but when she spoke with Insider after her February 14 eviction, at which point Kressley was still in the game, Moakler said her biggest regret was using the power of veto on him during the third nomination cycle when Tate was in power. </p><p>"I should've let Carson walk out the door, but that was my only shot to flip the house and get the power away from Miesha, so I had to take it," she told Insider on February 16.</p><p>Kressley said that there was a lot of "talk" about Moakler that wasn't game-related after she left the house, including comments on her clothing choices that some fans on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/BigBrother/comments/st8b4b/carson_todd_and_cynthia_slut_shaming_shanna_last/">Reddit labeled "slut shaming."</a></p><div type="image" title="Karson Kressley with Julie Chen." height="900" width="1200" msid="89780492" hostid="261"></div><p>Other than his comment that she always wore workout clothes in the house, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/BigBrother/comments/st8b4b/carson_todd_and_cynthia_slut_shaming_shanna_last/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=ios_app&amp;utm_name=iossmf">which was caught on live feeds preserved by the Big Brother subreddit</a> but not aired on the show, Kressley said he "didn't join that bandwagon" adding, "I tried to not be involved in that."</p><p>As for who will win "Celebrity Big Brother," Kressley predicted correctly for Insider that Bridges would be one of Hall and Tate's next targets. Bridges was voted out of the house by Hall, who cast the sole vote to evict, as part of Monday night's double eviction, which also saw former NBA star Lamar Odom eliminated.</p><p>Kressley is pulling for his ally in the game Cynthia Bailey, who's made it to the final three, to win. But, if the final two is Tate and Hall, he's confident the UFC fighter will take home the win. It will also air live in Spanish on Telemundo.</p><p>Eighty-four women, including <a target="_blank" href="https://www.insider.com/miss-usa-pageant-winner-miss-utah-2023-9"><u>Miss USA Noelia Voigt</u></a>, are competing for the title of Miss Universe. "We reaffirm that the legacy of Miss Universe will be carried on by JKN Global Group as envisioned from the beginning."</p><p>The ongoing controversy comes just a year after Miss USA was consumed in scandal after multiple contestants said <a target="_blank" href="https://www.insider.com/miss-usa-pageant-controversy-explained-2022-10"><u>the 2022 competition was rigged</u></a> in favor of Gabriel, who went on to win Miss Universe in January.</p>

According to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/02/04/lamar-odom-poops-bed-celebrity-big-brother/">TMZ, </a> the 42-year-old former NBA star told Nagasu, "I just let the world know I took a shit in my bed" and that he "had to clean it up in front of the world."</p><p>"Did I know that I was signing up for the experience of watching someone shart themself on national <keyword id="11898468" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="tv" source="Orion">TV</keyword>?" the Olympic bronze medalist rhetorically asked when speaking to Insider on Thursday after her eviction. "I did not know, but it did give me a little giggle."</p><p>"But I think I'm good if that's the one experience I have with it," she added.</p><p>As for Odom, who's still competing in the house, Nagasu joked that "hopefully his stomach has settled down."</p><p>The Olympian said she also expects that "Celebrity Big Brother" viewers will get more of a rundown of the incident after the season wraps, since Odom and fellow contestant, "Diff'rent Strokes" star Todd Bridges, spoke about creating a podcast together in the future.</p><p>"I'm sure that's an experience we'll get to hear more about firsthand when they leave the house," she said.</p><h2>Nagasu told Insider she was eliminated because she was 'the bigger threat' </h2><div type="image" title="Mirai Nagasu and Julie Chen Moonves" height="900" width="1200" msid="89579293" hostid="261"></div>Although Nagasu, a "Big Brother" superfan, was disappointed that her game ended so soon, she understands why she was voted out against "Saturday Night Live" alum Chris Kattan, who'd asked their fellow players to vote him out and save Nagasu in his eviction-night speech.<p>"I know that it wasn't personal and I know that with the nominations the way they were, I was the bigger threat," she told Insider.</p><p>In her exit interview with host Julie Chen Moonves, which aired last week, the Olympic athlete also shared that she'd struggled to fit in with the others in the house as the only Asian American house guest and being younger than the other contestants.</p><p>"Unfortunately for me, there was a generational gap," Nagasu told Insider. "But I learned so much from ... their experiences and I think that's what I'll take away from 'Celebrity Big Brother.'"</p><p>The figure skater has also connected with another Asian American "Big Brother" alum, <a href="https://www.insider.com/big-brother-season-23-winner-players-the-cookout-interview-2021-9">season 23's Derek Xiao.</a> According to Nagasu, she and Xiao both agreed they "would've made a dynamic duo" if they'd played together ("He would've killed it in the HOH [or Head of Household] and the veto competitions, and I'd start off my social game really strong").</p><p>She said Xiao even coined their would-be alliance moniker, "The Takeout" — a play on <a href="https://www.insider.com/all-black-alliance-the-cookout-dominated-big-brother-23-2021-9">season 23's historic all-Black alliance dubbed "The Cookout."</a></p><div type="image" title="Carson Kressley" height="675" width="900" msid="89579295" hostid="261"></div>While there's still a game to be played, when Insider spoke to Nagasu last Thursday, she named MMA player Miesha Tate and reality-TV personality Carson Kressley, the current head of household in control of eviction nominations, as the two strongest players.<p>And even though he became her target in week one, Nagasu said Kressley is the player who'd have her vote in the end.</p><p>"If Carson makes it to the end, he has my vote, because not only was he charismatic and a great person, he also was a great cook and I really respected the way he handled pressure," she added.</p><p>"But the game always changes in 'Big Brother' and so, I guess you can't count on my answer," Nagasu added.</p><p>"Celebrity Big Brother" airs its next episode on Monday, February 14 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.</p>

"He makes the crap smell like it's fresh chicken and fresh beef, and you want to take a bite of it. The problem is we take a bite of it — and then you find out it's not chicken, it's doo-doo." </p><p>Bridges said that Hall talked about race with castmates "all the time" and claims that "he was the only one that always talked about it." </p><p>"I think it's a fine line between actually being for real about it and not being for real about it," Bridges said of bonding with people because of shared racial identities. "I think Todrick was just a head spinner, and he was good at it."</p><p>Former <a href="https://www.insider.com/celebrity-big-brother-lamar-odom-didnt-hide-bed-pooping-incident-2022-2">NBA player Lamar Odom</a> also told Insider in February that Hall did try to use race to bond with him often.</p><p>"But his alliance was to a white woman, so that was hard for me to understand," Odom said, referring to Hall's final two deal with the season's eventual winner, UFC fighter Miesha Tate. "He wasn't getting me with that one."</p><h2>Some of Hall's castmates told Insider they hope he grows from his experience on 'Celebrity Big Brother'</h2><div type="image" title="Miesha Tate, Julie Chen Moonves, Todrick Hall" height="602" width="802" msid="89954701" hostid="261"></div><p>Many fans online pointed out how Hall took gameplay manipulation to extreme levels and launched unnecessary personal attacks on others. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/BigBrother/comments/syvc6e/todrick_clarification/">A Reddit user</a> alleged that Hall's apparent "slut shaming" of houseguest <keyword id="13045636" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="shanna-moakler" source="Orion">Shanna Moakler</keyword>, captured on live-feed footage but not aired on the show's broadcast episodes, after she exited the show was one example of bad behavior that had nothing to do with winning the game.</p><p>Redditors also noted that Hall said the phrase "don't be too hard on me" to Moakler as she was leaving the house, which was shown on the February 14 episode when Moakler was evicted. In an earlier moment captured on the show's live feeds but not aired on any broadcast episode, Moakler had previously told houseguests, including Hall, that "don't be too hard on me" was what a home intruder said to her during an event "she described as the most traumatic moment of her life," the Reddit user wrote.</p><p>Moakler hasn't directly commented on these allegations, but told <a href="https://toofab.com/2022/02/16/shanna-moakler-todrick-hall-celebrity-big-brother/">TooFab in an interview published February 16</a> following her eviction that she felt Hall "clapping and cheering" on her way out the door "was in poor taste" and agreed with fellow houseguest Chris Kirkpatrick's earlier comments to TooFab that Hall sometimes made things "too personal" in the game.</p><p>"I didn't really respect the gameplay or the style or making things personal," <a href="https://toofab.com/2022/02/16/shanna-moakler-todrick-hall-celebrity-big-brother/">Moakler told TooFab in February</a>. "I wanted to keep it about 'Big Brother,' I wanted to keep it about what we were doing."</p><p>According to fan-captured footage from the live feeds, Hall was also seen accusing fellow houseguests of saying homophobic words that many live-feed watchers never heard them say. </p><p>"I think Todrick is going through <a href="https://www.insider.com/celebrity-big-brother-lamar-odom-confessional-quotes-khloe-kardashian-2022-2">a process of growing up</a> and what happens is that he's growing up in front of the world," said Odom of Hall's behavior in the house. "So everyone's going to see his mistakes or downfalls." </p><p>Bridges said he didn't think Hall's self-confidence was as strong as he portrayed it to be. "The stuff he said was just unnecessary, but I take that away from him maybe being insecure."</p><h2>Not all of Hall's former castmates feel as negatively about their experiences with Hall, and several told Insider they wish him well</h2><div type="image" title="Todrick Hall" height="675" width="900" msid="89954702" hostid="261"></div><p>After "Real Housewives" star Cynthia Bailey's closest ally, Carson Kressley, was voted out of the "Celebrity Big Brother" house, Hall protected her, resulting in Bailey making it to the final three. </p><p>During her finale night interview with Insider on Wednesday, Bailey said she was "grateful" that Hall took her "under his wing" at the time. </p><p>When asked about Bridges and Odom's earlier comments to Insider about Hall and his gameplay, Bailey said that she can "understand" why Bridges and Odom think Hall talked about race with them too much, but added that her "experience with him in the house was good."</p><p>Kressley, who won the fan-voted America's Favorite Player award on finale night, told Insider on Wednesday that Hall played the game "recklessly," but he hopes his friend learns from it. He said he had conversations with Hall in the house explaining that "this game only lasts on <keyword id="11898468" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="tv" source="Orion">TV</keyword> for three weeks, but you need to protect your brand and your career for the long term."</p><p>"I don't want anyone to be hurt because of a game," <a href="https://www.insider.com/celebrity-big-brother-carson-kressley-regrets-turning-against-shanna-moakler-2022-2">the former "Queer Eye" star said</a>, adding that he thinks Hall "will move on" from this.</p><p>And Tate, the season's winner and Hall's closest ally throughout the game, told Insider on Wednesday's finale night that she just hopes people judge Hall "for his heart and not his mind."</p><p>"People do make mistakes; we all make mistakes," she added.</p>
