The Dow Jones Industrial Average tanked 509.72 points, and the S&amp;P 500 lost 1.16% towards the end of trading Asian markets also opened on a weak note. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index was trading 185 points lower, and the Shanghai Composite Index was down nearly 1% at 8:05 am. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on September 22: State Bank of India The country’s largest lender State Bank of India on Monday said it had raised ₹7,000 crores by issuing Basel III compliant bonds. “The Committee of Directors for Capital Raising at its meeting of held today on September 21, 2020, accorded its approval to allot 70,000 Basel III compliant non-convertible, taxable, redeemable...debt instruments in the nature of debentures aggregating to ₹7,000 crore, to bond subscribers,” SBI said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges. The shares of SBI ended 4% lower yesterday. HSIL Limited The board of directors of HSIL in a meeting held yesterday approved the proposal for buyback of fully paid-up equity shares of the face value of ₹2 each from the open market, amounting to ₹70 crore. The shares of HSIL Limited ended 1% lower yesterday. Bombay Burmah Trading The Wadia group-owned, Bombay Burmah Trading told investors that its board would meet on September 24, to consider the proposal of raising up to ₹75 crore via non-convertible debentures. The company in a stock exchange filing said it aims to use that money for a private placement basis. The shares of Bombay Burmah Trading ended 2% lower yesterday. GMM Pfaudler GMM Pfaudler said the company's promoter would sell 25.71 lakh shares via offer for sale at a floor price set at ₹3,500 per share on September 22 and 23. The shares of GMM Pfaudler ended 3% lower yesterday. Muthoot Finance, Manappuram Finance, IIFL Finance Fitch Ratings took rating action on the long-term issuer default ratings of four non-bank financial companies. For Manappuram Finance rating has been affirmed at ‘BB-’ and ‘Rating Watch Negative’ (RWN) has been removed. Whereas Muthoot Finance’s rating has also been affirmed at ‘BB’, but RWN has been removed. The shares of Muthoot Finance, Manappuram Finance and IIFL Finance ended 6%, 4% and 5% lower yesterday, respectively. Route Mobile The recently debuted Route Mobile received a stellar response from investors. The company dominated the bulk deals on Monday. Goldman Sachs acquired 24.09 lakh shares at the debut for ₹705.95 per share, and Kuwait Investment Authority acquired 5.79 lakh shares at ₹697.25 per share. The shares of Route Mobile ended 8% lower yesterday. Videocon Industries ad BPCL The state-owned Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) has been forced to pay for its defaulting partner Videocon Industries after it had relied on a rarely used model to acquire a stake in five oil blocks in Brazil, according to <a href="https://energy.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/oil-and-gas/bpcl-pays-for-defaulting-videocon-in-brazil-oil-block/78355979">reports</a>. The shares of Videocon Industries ended 5% lower on Friday, whereas BPCL shed nearly a percent. Sun Pharma The drug major Sun Pharma in its Annual Report for 2019-20 said the company is looking to expand its speciality business across different regions like Greater China and Japan after having established presence in the US market. The shares of Sun Pharma ended 0.72% higher on Friday. Berger Paints India’s second-largest paint maker, Berger Paints said that despite the coronavirus uncertainty its capital expenditure for this fiscal year remains unaffected and will be the same as last year. The shares of state-owned <keyword id="64243" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Oil-and-Natural-Gas-Corporation">Oil and Natural Gas Corporation</keyword> (ONGC) surged 5% on Monday on reports that India is considering a floor price for natural gas produced from local fields. IANS Sources said <keyword id="5219124" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Petroleum-Ministry">the petroleum ministry</keyword> is considering a proposal under which domestic gas will have a floor pricing that would prevent fuel prices from crashing below an identified threshold in the current subdued market conditions and insulate oil and gas explorers like ONGC from a tariff crash. <div type="image" title="ONGC" msid="78362156" hostid="261"></div> CNG and piped natural gas prices could face an increase this festive season if the government implements a new floor price mechanism for gas produced from domestic fields by companies such as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Talks are on to link gas prices with price Japan-Korea Marker, a benchmark index used to determine LNG tariff in North Asia with a discount. With JKM prices hovering over $ 5 million British thermal units (mmBtu) even with day $ 1 mmBtu discount, the Indian gas floor price under this formula will be close to $ 4 mmBtu. This is much higher than the government administered price of $ 2.39 mmBtu for the April-October, 2020 period. And if implemented, it could increase the cost for all gas consumers. "Nothing has been finalised on having a gas floor price as of now. A panel in the petroleum ministry is looking at various options and the best course would be adopted that has little impact on consumers but also supports oil and gas companies with remunerative and sustainable gas prices." The average cost of gas production for the country's largest public sector oil company ONGC is about $3.7/mmBtu, much higher than the current regulated price of natural gas at $2.39/mmBtu. This is expected to fall further to about $1.9/mmBtu for the next six months beginning October 1 under the current formula, sources said. Lower gas prices is bad news for ONGC as it would mean further suppressed margins and losses. The company is set to lose close to Rs 6,000 crore on low gas prices this year, brokerages have said. Brokerages have put ONGC's FY22E gas price at US$3.6-4.2/mmbtu depending on discount to JKM price if the new floor price is implemented. With Low L NG liquefaction capacity addition ahead, JKM spot futures for FY22-FY26E are expected at US$5.2-5.8/mmbtu vs US$4.7-4.1/mmbtu in FY20-FY21E. Oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said earlier that India will phase out price controls in natural gas and make it market-linked soon.
