The railways transported 20 litres of camel milk to a family in Mumbai after a woman tweeted about its non-availability for her three-and-a-half-year-old autistic child, who is allergic to goat, cow and buffalo milk. This good deed of the railways came to light on Saturday when senior IPS officer Arun Bothra tweeted about it. "20 lts. camel milk reached Mumbai by train last night. The family has kindly shared part of it with another needy person in the city. Thanking Sh.Tarun Jain, CPTM, North-West Railways who ensured an unscheduled halt to pick the container," Bothra said in a tweet. Renu Kumari, the mother of the child, had tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet, in which she highlighted her son's plight. "Sir I have a 3.5 yrs old child suffering from autism and severe food allergies. He survives on Camel Milk and limited quantity of pulses. When lockdown started I didn't have enough camel milk to last this long. Help me get Camel Milk or its powder from Sadri (Rajasthan)," she had said in the tweet. People from all across the country put forward several suggestions on Twitter, including Bothra, who contacted Advik Foods, the first brand of camel milk products in the country based in Rajasthan. The company offered its camel milk powder for the child. However, sending it to Mumbai was an issue. "The matter came to our notice when Bothra tweeted about it. I discussed the issue with senior DCM, Ajmer, Mahesh Chand Jewalia. We decided that parcel cargo train no. 00902, running between Ludhiana and Bandra in Mumbai, will be stopped at the Falna station in Rajasthan, although it does not have a scheduled halt there, the package will be picked up from Falna and delivered to the woman in Mumbai," Chief Passenger Traffic Manager, North Western Railway (NWR), Tarun Jain told . He said through Jewalia, instructions were sent to Chief Commercial Inspector Akhil Taneja to co-ordinate with the operating department and the supplier to ensure that the camel milk is loaded at Falna. "After taking permission from the appropriate authority, the train was stopped and the camel milk was delivered to the woman at Bandra. For us at the Indian Railways, this is not the time to look at commercial gains. We have been asked to help out wherever possible in whichever way we can. Our (NWR) trains run through 18 districts of the country and we will do whatever is needed to help people out," Jain said.

The study found that Azure was "up to 3.4 times faster and up to 87 percent less expensive" than AWS in that scenario.Amazon Web Services on Thursday <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/fact-checking-gigaoms-microsoft-sponsored-benchmark-claims/">published a rebuttal,</a> with Fred Wurden, general manager of enterprise and benchmarking, saying the study is not credible "because Microsoft and GigaOm use configurations of AWS that generate weaker performance, they have not been transparent on how it was run, and the benchmarks are not reproducible."Amazon isn't the only one skeptical of the study: Corey Quinn, CEO of the Duckbill Group and a specialist in cloud pricing, <a href="https://twitter.com/QuinnyPig/status/1223022620502712320?s=20">tweeted such a study is "worthless"</a> if it's sponsored by a company with a major stake in the outcome.Microsoft has yet to respond. The debate about costs between the two companies is escalating as competition in the cloud market intensifies. Amazon <a href="https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2019-07-29-gartner-says-worldwide-iaas-public-cloud-services-market-grew-31point3-percent-in-2018">at Gartner's last count this summer</a> had more than three times the second-place Microsoft's market share - about 47.8% to 15.5%, respectively. Microsoft Azure is generally expected to be gaining traction in the market though, particularly after its <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-challenges-microsoft-10-billion-jedi-cloud-contract-win-2019-11">still-contested</a> win of a $10 billion Pentagon cloud contract.Microsoft's <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-azure-revenue-growth-rate-increases-2020-1">Azure cloud business just showed accelerating growth</a> - albeit modestly - for the first time in years. <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-earnings-q4-2019-aws-cloud-2020-1">AWS revenue growth rate slowed slightly</a>, but it's still a much bigger business than Azure. Exactly how much isn't clear since Microsoft doesn't report specific revenue figures for Azure, only the rate of growth.<h2>Which cloud is cheaper?</h2>The cost debate between AWS and Microsoft primarily surrounds which cloud is cheaper for running Windows and SQL Server, both foundational software at many large companies.Microsoft created the Windows Server server operating system and SQL Server database management system years ago - Windows Server was introduced in 2003, while SQL server goes all the way back to 1989 - and they've since become the cornerstone to the IT infrastructure at companies large and small. But while they were Microsoft inventions, both products are supported on rival clouds including AWS and Google Cloud Platform.This episode comes not long <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-amazon-web-services-cost-comparison-2020-1">after a Microsoft executive touted a statistic that the company's Azure platform is five times cheaper</a> than AWS when running Windows in the cloud."A lot of customers start their cloud journey thinking about migration as a way to save costs, drive productivity, maybe even increase agility," Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Cloud Marketing Takeshi Numoto said <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Investor/events/FY-2020/UBS-Global-Technology-Conference">during a UBS Global conference last month</a>. "We're basically five-times cheaper, for example, versus AWS in a lot of these migration scenarios."Microsoft can provide a "big economic advantage" to cloud customers because of its "rich history" with products like Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server, Numoto said.Microsoft declined to provide more information on Numoto's claims. The cost comparison to which the exec is referring appears to be from 2018 when <a href="https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/azure-vs-aws/cost-savings/">Microsoft compared the cost of running Windows Server and SQL Server workloads in a specific scenario and region</a> and said Azure cost five times less than AWS.AWS declined to comment about Numoto's comments, but Amazon Web Services Vice President Sandy Carter <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/fact-checking-the-truth-on-tco-for-running-windows-workloads-in-the-cloud/?tag=bisafetynet2-20">in an April blog post said</a> Microsoft's cost comparisons are misleading when it comes to running Windows workloads in the cloud. Amazon Web Services just attacked a Microsoft-commissioned study claiming that its Azure cloud is faster and cheaper

<div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image">Mike Rowe/Twitter<a href="https://twitter.com/mikeroweworks/status/388784115593392128" target="_blank">Mike Rowe Tweeted</a> from Comic Con even though he hates using social media.</div></div><keyword id="1610597" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Mike-Rowe">Mike Rowe</keyword>, best known for being the host of the show "<keyword id="1192294" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="dirty-jobs">Dirty Jobs</keyword>," took part in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/category/nycc-2013">New York Comic Con</a> panel "<a href="http://nycc13.mapyourshow.com/5_0/sessions/sessiondetails.cfm?ScheduledSessionID=18A8C8C3" target="_blank">How to make friends and influence people: Talent and production company relationships in the new media landscape</a>" over the weekend, and he dropped a couple of real nuggets of wisdom that just aspiring professional can apply to their career.
Rowe should know considering he sampled 300 jobs in over eight seasons on "Dirty Jobs," gave a Ted Talk in 2011 on the value of work, and started the <a href="http://www.mikeroweworks.com/mikes-office/giving-back/" target="_blank">Mike Rowe Works Foundation</a>.
He's also <a href="http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/dirty-jobs/videos/milking-camels.htm" target="_blank">milked camels</a>.
Rowe said that one of the biggest lessons from "Dirty Jobs" was when he first heard of the notion of taking the "reverse commute" - to go in a career path in the opposite direction from the one you're currently on - from a <a href="http://www.mikeroweworks.com/2009/03/septic-tank-technician-dirty-jobs/" target="_blank">septic tank technician in Wisconsin</a> named Les Swanson who was formerly a psychiatrist.
Rowe explained how somebody could go from a psychiatrist to a crap cleaner:

"We were standing one day up to our nipples basically in this lift pump chamber ... you have no idea what goes on in there. It's where all the stuff you flush down the toilet accumulates before it heads to the waste water treatment plant. We're standing in this thing knocking hunks of cholesterol off the walls, it's 120 degrees, it's like steady Judy, steady. It's the 7th level of hell.
I say to Les, 'Man how did you get here?' He laughs and says 'What do you mean?' I say, 'What did you do before this?' He says, 'I was a psychiatrist.' So I asked him, 'What brought you to this business?' And without missing a beat Les says, 'I got tired of dealing with other people's shit.'
The moral of the the story is huge, he [Les] didn't dream about being a septic tank cleaner, he just looked around [as a psychiatrist] and saw where everybody was going, took stock of what he was doing and thought, 'I'm not gonna go that way.'"

In other words, the job doesn't define who you are or how happy you are, it is about the passion you bring to your work and how you choose to live your life, whether you're a website designer or a septic tank technician. There's no reason why you can't reverse direction and find satisfaction.
Rowe also helped field a question from the audience about how to end professional relationships without burning bridges when you realize it isn't working out:

"During the 9 years I was On Dirty Jobs I had three general managers, six presidents and 10 network executives assigned to my show. Now that's just the way it is, its a revolving door in this industry that nobody up here can overstate, it is big and well oiled.
As a freelancer I can look back and tell you that I've been hired for grown up gigs by people who were PAs [personal assistants] that brought me coffee. Im so glad I was always decent to people, or tried to be anyhow. Never ever underestimate the importance … show up early, stay late and be nice. You will stand out in this industry and people will go out of their way to hire you later."
</blockquote>
This goes for any profession, not just production. You have no way of knowing if that eager intern you had last summer could one day end up in a position of power with the ability to hire, or fire, you.
