Although the limit for UPI IPO applications is ₹2 lakh, the system is not yet live by the exchanges. So, brokerages can’t offer it via UPI. SEBI may soon issue directions to take REIT IPOs live on UPI as it did for bonds,” he said. Mehra added that REIT units are different from equity shares in terms of the underlying structure. “Investors should check the suitability of financial products in their overall portfolio before investing in them,” he said. Here’s how you can apply for Brookfield REIT IPO You can apply for REIT IPOs using your net banking. Per directives, every IPO bid should be backed by ASBA or Application Supported by Blocked Amount which allows the bank to block funds in the applicant's account for the application's value till the time the shares are allocated. Bengaluru, <keyword id="6904948" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Embassy-Office-Parks-REIT">Embassy Office Parks REIT</keyword> on Tuesday announced it has successfully completed a <keyword id="10475235" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="unit-capital-raise">unit capital raise</keyword> of $501 million through an institutional placement of units. The Securities Committee of the Board of Directors of Embassy Office Parks Management Services Private Limited, Manager to <keyword id="7428315" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Embassy-REIT">Embassy REIT</keyword>, approved the issuance and allotment of over 11.13 crore new units through this institutional placement in a meeting held on Tuesday, the Embassy REIT said in a regulatory filing. Trading of these units is expected to commence on or around December 24, 2020 on NSE and BSE. "The institutional placement launched on December 15, 2020 and witnessed strong demand from both existing as well as <keyword id="10475234" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="new-institutional-investors">new institutional investors</keyword>, including global and domestic investors, pension funds, insurers, and alternative asset managers," it said. Mike Holland, Chief Executive Officer of Embassy REIT said: "The strong demand for our offering amidst market uncertainties and the ongoing pandemic is a testament to the confidence in Embassy REIT's inorganic growth strategy of owning quality office assets such as <keyword id="2223053" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Embassy-TechVillage">Embassy TechVillage</keyword>." The placement issue price of ₹331 per unit represents a discount of 4.99% to the applicable floor price of ₹348.38 per unit calculated in accordance with applicable SEBI regulations, said the filing. Embassy REIT proposes to use the proceeds from this placement to fund its proposed acquisition of Embassy TechVillage that it announced earlier on November 17, 2020, and for general purposes. Embassy REIT is acquiring ETV from the Embassy Sponsor, members of the Blackstone group and other selling shareholders, for a total enterprise valuation of $1.3 billion, subject to closing adjustments. Embassy REIT raises over $501 million through institutional placement of units

Mumbai, <keyword id="462153" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="IRB-Infrastructure-Developers">IRB Infrastructure Developers</keyword> on Tuesday said that its <keyword id="136326" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Board-of-Directors">board of directors</keyword> has increased the fund-raising <keyword id="6401555" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="limit">limit</keyword> from ₹4,500 crore to ₹5,500 crore. "The Board of Directors of the company on February 9, 2021 has approved the proposal of increasing the limit of raising of funds through various options including by way of issuance of debt securities, non-convertible debentures etc, through permissible routes," the company said in a regulatory filing. The fund would be raised in the in the onshore or offshore market and by public issue or on private placement basis. Shares of IRB Infra were trading at ₹111.20, higher by ₹2.15 or 1.97 per cent from its previous close. Netflix to premier 'Bombay Begums' on International Women's Day

Geneva, <keyword id="43588" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="World-Health-Organization">World Health Organization</keyword> (WHO) experts came together to review the efficacy of the <keyword id="9605255" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="oxford-astrazeneca">Oxford-AstraZeneca</keyword> Covid-19 vaccine, after a study showed that it was less effective against a new variant of the virus discovered in South Africa. At a press briefing here on Monday, WHO Director-General <keyword id="3685849" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tedros-Adhanom-Ghebreyesus">Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus</keyword> said although the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is one of the several that have been shown to be effective in preventing severe disease, hospitalisations and deaths from Covid-19, the emergence of new variants of the virus has raised concerns about their potential impacts on the efficacy of vaccines, says reports. He announced that the WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) met to review the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and discuss these new developments. Tedros added that he will meet with the SAGE Chair on Tuesday to discuss its recommendations. Monday's development came a day after, South Africa, where the new variant named B.1.351 was found, announced that the rollout of the <keyword id="6409874" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="astrazeneca">AstraZeneca</keyword> vaccine in the country would be temporarily put on hold until more clinical efficacy information becomes available. Also at the briefing, Kate O'Brien, director of the Department for Immunization, Vaccines, and Biologicals at the WHO, said SAGE had met investigators from the trials being conducted in Britain and Brazil, as well as AstraZeneca and investigators from South African trials. In looking at evidence on the AstraZeneca vaccine across a number of trials, it is very clear that it has efficacy against severe disease, hospitalisations and deaths among different variants, said O'Brien, while admitting that "there are some indications of reduction in the efficacy, some more some less, depending on which variant, which population, and also the neutralizing antibody responses". "But we also have evidence that there is the likelihood that the retention of meaningful impact against severe disease is a very plausible scenario for the product against the B.1.351 variant," she added. O'Brien also noted that "we really have to sort of sail a steady ship, based on the preponderance of evidence and not lurch from one particular report or another report". Meanwhile, GAVI, the global Vaccine Alliance and a major player in the WHO-led COVAX initiative for Covid-19 vaccines, has decided to continue rolling out the AstraZeneca vaccine. According to GAVI CEO Seth Berkley, the AstraZeneca vaccine is efficacious and has been reviewed and approved by a number of stringent regulatory authorities. "Therefore we suspect that we will continue to roll that out, and we'll continue to follow the effects of that vaccine over time," he said.
